As part of the Composite Technology for Exploration (CTE) project at NASA, woven fabric composites are being investigated for their use in Space Launch System (SLS) hardware. 碩士
逢甲大學
纖維與複合材料學系
100
In this study the finite element software ANSYS and the point stress criterion (PSC) were used for predicting the notched strength of carbon nanotube /braided composite plates each with two lateral semicircular holes. In this approach, the stress distribution of a carbon nanotube /braided composite plate with two semi-circular holes is first obtained by a finite element analysis, in which the experimental notched strength is applied at the boundary of the finite element model. Secondly, the point stress criterion is used to find the characteristic length for e

Abstract:
When using Finite Element Analysis (FEA) to model notched composite panels, the values of certain material properties can have a great effect on the outcome of the simulation. Progressive damage modeling is used to model how a composite structure will fail, and how that failure will affect the response of the structure. Many different progressive damage models exist, but the formulation known as Hashin damage is used to model failure in tension and out-of-plane bending in this study. This model has ten different material properties that are used to define the damage response of the material. E
