Current research synthesizes epidemiological data on morbo- mortality by labor accidents in the Brazilian population and gives a cross- section of these accidents in Brazil between 2004 and 2007. Current descrip- tive and exploratory analysis uses databases of thePublic Health Ministry on labor accidents. In fact, 465.700 and 653.090 labor accidents were notified respectively in 2004 and 2007, with a trend towardsan increase in number. This study addresses the epidemiological aspects of accidents caused by venomous animals in the municipality of Uberlandia, Minas Gerais, during the period from 2019 to 2022. Data were collected from the Notifiable Diseases Information System (SINAN) and analyzed retrospectively. During the study period, 1,443 cases were reported, with the highest incidence among young adult men. With the increasing number of bicycle riders, there is an increased risk of accidents between bicycles and automobiles. Some accidents are caused by speeding bicycles and the lack of communication between the cyclist and car drivers. To close the communication gap, we propose a method to detect speeding behaviors using a conventional smartphone. Using the smartphone, the cyclist will be able to obtain additional notification with minimum inconvenience and cost.
