Full textThe magazine Nouvelles Nouvelles (New short stories), created in 1985, is edited by the Foundation David Kupfermann. Led by the writers Claude Pujade-Renaud and Daniel Zimmermann, it is dedicated to the short story, a literary genre that had been out of fashion in XXth Century France. Open to all styles and topics, Nouvelles Nouvelles is meant to be the echo chamber, the reflection of all the attempts, mutations and accomplishments that happened in the realm of the short story in the period 1985-1995

Full textThis study aims to analyze the modifications that various digital supports can produce throughout several languages (we take into account Romanian and French). In doing that, it is influenced by the support’s technological features and therefor separates our corpus source accordingly: blog, chat, SMS, Facebook. The purpose is therefor finding if this (or those) new way (s) of communication change the traditional rules of exchange (spoken or written). In order to evaluate the differences between the digital discourse and the previous types, one has to compare the collected data to the prior types: dialogue and conversation. Statistical frequency analysis will complete our perspective as for this new discourse genre’s stability. This will allow shaping its general lines as well as its inner variation. The next step is a comparative study of various intercultural situations (the cultural context that can modify the speaking frame). We turn therefor towards a description of the interactive behavior within the two cultures. We shall take into account the interaction’s prototypical course in a given situation as well as its specificity according to the situation/ frame/ specific speaker
Pasul urmator este trasarea studiului comparativ a situatiilor culturale (contextul cultural inerent putand sa modifice in mod sensibi lcadrul conversational). Ne vom apleca astfel asupra unei descrieri a comportementelor interactive in interiorul celor doua culturi pentru a obtine o comparatie exhaustiva. Astfel derularea prototipica a interactiunii intr-o situatie data cat si declinarile sale specifice in functie de situatie/ cadru/ locutor specific, sunt elemente cheie in cadrul studiului nostru

Full textThe publication of Maupassant's short stories in La Bibliothèque de La Pléiade twenty years ago had the effect of shedding a new light on works influenced by the publication made by the author himself. The choice of this new publication as the reference for our study led us to examine all the short stories even though many of them had been ignored in the past, for reasons linked to the history of criticism. We will compare La Pleiade with several stages of the criticism, from the study by André Vial to different studies made in the nFineties. Even though there were original studies in the past, the biographical criticism has definitively marked the short stories by Maupassant. So, it tries to join life and works, especially when the critics want to establish a logical chronology from the Normand stories to "Le Horla". So, we will study the relationship between Maupassant and these stories and, we will start with discussing the theory of pessimism which has become more and more important in the recent past

Full text“Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them to the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit” Mt 28, 19. At every stage of the History of the Church, many communities passed on from one generation to another the newness of the gospel always strong in faith, in fidelity to the Lord. In modern times, under the wind of the Second Vatican Council; for some in the Charismatic Renewal Movement; new communities propose a more engaged and active faith. Who are they? What do they propose in the participation of the new evangelization? They arrived since the 1970’s in Ivory Coast, which has celebrated its centenary of Evangelization in 1995, the “Foyer de Charité”, “Chemin Neuf”, “Beatitudes” and “Emmanuel”, would built on the heritage of the Society of African Missions (SMA), to propose new dynamic methods to let the Gospel take root in the life of Ivoirians. One cannot deny the efficacy of their action. By taking into account the pertinence of the deepening of the Christian formation, the interiorization of the spiritual life, the adequacy between faith and culture, it seems to us that this new evangelization is based on a new method of theology of mission: local traditions, the culture and the spirituality of the people of Ivory Coast, can be considered as milestones in the universal economy of salvation recapitulated in the mystery of Jesus Christ

Full textThis thesis belongs to serge moscovici's works on minorities influence and social change. The main goal of this study is to understand the role of minorities and majorities in the process of social change. The main idea that we assume, is that minority influence is subordinated to a deeper and alder influence: influence of the past and influence of possible readings of the past. The role of majorities is to maintain cohesiveness between different groups and between old and new ideas. The role of minorities influence is to "shake" consciousness and to make contradictions and problems of society salient. If these minorities ideas are based on rebuilt readings of the past, they can create, in society, a cognitive thaw and develop collective action

Full textThe policy for city renovation engaged by the paris city around the fifties, found its origin in a trend of fast economic growth conditions. This policy has given birth in priority to the modernization of the parisian real estate basis and the construction of many residences. From 1975, a new policy in space organisation and urbanism, based on more diversificated options is appeared. This report's try to analyse the main objectives in space management and particulary concerning :. The problems linked to lodging and lodging again ; the preservation and the development of industrial, artisan and commercial activities ; the integration of buildings in the urban texture ; the aspects of renovation and rehabilitation ; the strongthening of public equipments, cultural and hobby ones ; the creation of green spaces and pedestrian passages. The new policy in space organisation and urbanism in paris find today its frame from these criteria and through the creation of z. A. C. 's. Full textThe "nouvelles" came from traditional stories. Their interest lies not in their plot, which everybody would already know, but in the ways of telling it, in their uses of language. Verbal activity is at the core of the genre from its presentation as a reunion of story-tellers. Language in the "nouvelles" is generally used in playful ways leading to punning, to telling lies, to building versions that substitute reality in a way similar to literature creating fictional worlds through words. This reveals a potential of words far away from simple reproduction of reality. Characters and narrators use words in equivical ways to trick either other characters or the reader. The insistence of many layers of meaning -for single words of whole stories- shifts the attention towards those who will interpret them. Plurality of interpretation implies as well the impossibility for literature of conveing a unique moral. Interpretation will always depend on the reader. Esthetic and ludic values for literature are thus emphasized against its edifying purposes

Full textThe presence of methylglyoxal (pyruvic aldehyde) in cells is a paradox. Indeed, this α-oxoaldehyde synthesised in cells is also toxic through reactions with proteins and nucleic acids. It can be formed with sugar hydrolysis and has been shown to be implicated in diabetes metillus. It could also have been involved in the prebiotic chemistry for emergence of life. With these regards, a new reaction of methylglyoxal with the nucleic bases adenine and cytosine has been evidenced in water (physiological and prebiotic conditions). This reaction leading to a new class of heterocycles, has been generalized to 2-aminopyridine-like compounds and its mechanism has been studied. Moreover, there heterocycles can react to form a second new class of heterocycles whose reactivity has been also studied

Full textDespite their functional role in coral reef ecosystems, giant clams (Tridacninae) are in decline worldwide due to their overexploitation. In New Caledonia, 1 to 9 tons are harvested per year. In this context, the main objectives of this thesis are to provide information about the demographic and evolutionary population’s connectivity for two species of giant clams in New Caledonia, Tridacna maxima and Hippopus hippopus, in order to estimate the spatial scales of larval dispersal, understand their population dynamics and propose appropriate conservation measures. The connectivity of populations was estimated by analyzing microsatellite genetic markers specifically developed for these two species. Sampling allowed the identification of two new species in New Caledonia. At reef scale and up to a few kilometers, parentage analysis showed that giant clam populations have varying self-recruitment rates, up to 8% for T. maxima in southwest lagoon and 29% for H. hippopus in northeastern lagoon. The spatial scales of larval dispersal varied for the two species, up to at least 35km for H. hippopus. At the scale of the territory, giant clam populations showed a weak genetic structure, highlighting evolutionary connectivity among sampled sites. However, significant differences were observed between the Mainland and Chesterfield, Loyalty Islands and Entrecasteaux for H. hippopus and between the west coast and the Loyalty Islands for T. maxima. These results provide important answers related to the spatial scales of larval dispersal in giant clams in New Caledonia

The impact of new information technologies is changeable about organization model of taxation authorities and about preparation of fiscal decision. It should increase the possibilities of administrative reorganizations and should conduce to a change of conditions and intercourses labour. Even if it must be difficult to maintain a strict neutrality of new technologies about internal administrative organization, the valorization of human resource should be indirectly back up thanks to new technologies. In a second part, we drawn up an inventory of using applications to show how new technologies can increase efficiency of taxation authorities for tax administration and control. Future prospects can be considering for powers of taxation authorities, for cooperation and for taxpaying rights

Full textThe mineralogical and geochemical understanding of lateritic nickel ore deposits is undoubtedly better constrained than their tectonic structure. Indeed, the fracture network of the underlying bedrock is typically concealed beneath a thick weathering profile. However, this fracture network strongly controls weathering and ultimately nickel release from peridotites, thus improving its knowledge appears critical in the evaluation of nickel resources. In New Caledonia, the Peridotite Nappe is a particularly outstanding case study because Early Miocene to Recent uplift and subsequent erosion allow the structure of a mantle ophiolite to be observed in three dimensions. However, due to the easy access to nickel resources, only a few structural studies have been undertaken, or remained confidential. The main objective of this study is to better constrain the role of the fracture network of the Peridotite Nappe in the genesis of New Caledonia’s lateritic nickel ore deposits.A multiple-scale study of the whole Peridotite Nappe has been performed following two main parts: i) field-based structural observations and analyses; and 2) interpretation of new acquired heliborne electromagnetic data. The latter focused on three mining areas (massifs of Koniambo and Kopéto-Boulinda; and, Plaine des Lacs – Goro - Port-Boisé), which are representative of the different types (morphologic and genetic) of nickel ore deposits encountered in New Caledonia. The study of the fracture network is essential in the understanding of the migration of meteoric waters and thus thickness variations of the weathering profile of peridotites. A mineralogical and textural approach has been undertaken to distinguish the various steps of fracture development on the basis of static or synkinematic infill events and eventually allowed a relative chronology to be proposed. Following this inventory, it has been possible to identify these objects on electromagnetism profiles. This analysis allows visualizing the geometry of controlling fractures at depth and reveals a direct link between deepening of the weathering profile and the fracture network. Ultimately, it clearly appears that meteoric waters use preferential pathways that in turn depend on the geomorphology of each massif, which originate from the inherited fracture network. The combination of geophysical data interpretation and field observations allow a better understanding of the complex nappe structure. Our results allow every described tectonic object to be replaced in its geodynamic setting and thus the full ophiolite history to be restored, from oceanic accretion to emersion in Oligocene. A refined model for the genesis of New Caledonia’s lateritic nickel ore deposits is proposed, as well as additional metallotects for exploration. Electromagnetism appears to be appropriate for describing the overall geometry of the weathering profile and can be useful in prospecting and modelling nickel ore deposits

Full textA combination of demographic changes and the development of informal settlements in Tunis and its surrounding area mean that the city now constitutes what is an international metropolis, with a median zone extending over 30 km. Given the complexity of the system originally in place, with its many structural and procedural constraints, along with the limitations of land policies which have already been pursued, access to urban land in Tunisia is increasingly dependent on market regulation. The Tunisian government is now studying the proposal of a future project of a new town in a locality called Fejja, located approximately thirty-five kilometers from the capital. The first of its kind in Tunisia, this project aims to reconcile an industrial park with a zone of habitat within the dynamics of an economically sustainable and durable development. The urban sprawl of Grand Tunis is the result of a number of factors; one of which being the illegal developers and the landowners. Those factors are responsible for the development of a land market designed specifically for people with low income. In terms of housing policy, the state has so far proved unsuccessful it its attempts to provide a land offer which is suitably adapted to this community. It has thus decided to tolerate such housing developments which are now common to the outskirts of the city. This work consists in analyzing the different phases of the urbanization process of Tunis, and to determine the underlying mechanisms behind this process, such as densification, peri-urban and regional development projects through the creation of a new town

Full textWritten around 1462 at the Court of Burgundy, the anonymous Cent Nouvelles nouvelles mark the arrival of the novella in France. As an inheritor of the oral tradition, the work contains many similarities with the old fabliaux and with many theatrical and comical texts of the 15th-16th centuries. Born at a moment when literature started to confirm it’s written status but kept at the same time it’s oral origins, the book fills an important place in the literary culture of it’s time. It was very popular with the public of the end of the Middle Ages and of the Renaissance, as we can see by the manuscripts and many early printed editions which contributed to it’s diffusion. The fact that most of these volumes are illustrated must not be neglected. In the book the images cristallize key moments of the narrative and function as a visual support of the written word. The scenes represented are small live pictures, but silent and still. The dramatizing of the narrative can also be seen in the way the text is writen. The author uses many procedures enabling him to dramatize the text : the use of space, the importance of gestuality, plays on identity, use of a vocabulary insisting on duplicity, the presence of oral marks. Also, the concrete exchanges between the book and the secular theatre of it’s time show that the novella contains dramatic possibilities. The Cent Nouvelles nouvelles are an important witness of the interdependence of genres at the end of the medieval period

Full textIn the Renaissance, short fiction is defined by fictional narratives inspired from reality and claiming to be truthful. These are often narratives staging different social groups and representing all human types. In my analysis of a number of collected sixteenth-century novellas, I noted that great emphasis was laid on social structures (couple, family, social group, location) that represent the basic framework of communal life. However, these works, which at first sight seem pregnant with ideological implications, often stage characters that, for various reasons and at different levels, are made to choose particular paths. Thus, all the debates and polemics raised in these narratives relate to two kinds of morality, one individual and the other communal. The objective of this study is therefore to look into the different representations, and determine the interference, of these two moralities in the novella genre. Scrutiny of the different social, religious, political and cultural codes enabled me to establish the existence of this interference and its impact on the fabric of literary texts. In depicting life in sixteenth-century France, the story-tellers developed a new way of viewing men in their relation to society and the world. As a result, they were able to invent a new morality, thus changing the very perception of the individual

Full textToday, entrepreneurship and innovation are promoted by governments and global and national organizations. Lebanese foreseen good opportunities for starting a business, but a lot of startups face a failure. The lack of competitors’ analysis, knowledge of external opportunities and abilities to develop and manage their companies are the main reasons for this situation. The acquisition of new skills and the development of entrepreneurial activities are influenced by the absence of a national entrepreneurship and innovation ecosystem. In this research, we present co-innopreneuriat which provides a method for co-innovation and co-creation of values by a convergence and collaboration approach based on Information and communication sciences’ theories and Information and communication technologies’ concepts. Our objective is to improve innovation performance and competitive advantages of the startups. Innovation and competitive advantages are key success factors of the entrepreneurship and the development of economic competitiveness factors. The experimentation and the evaluation of our approach were conducted with participants from different knowledge communities related to the main activities of the innovation process. This evaluation allowed us to validate two research hypotheses concerning the effectiveness and efficiency of innovation in order to improve the innovation performance and competitive advantages of startups

Full textThe construction of the five new towns around Seoul at the beginning of the nineties played an important part in the transformation of the metropolitan region towards a polynuclear structure. Facing the various problems of extension and congestion of the capital, the voluntarist Korean urbanism schemed Seoul decentralisation through the settlement of new regional poles. That intention was particularly obvious with the creation of the two new towns of Bundang and Ilsan. As compared with the three other new towns, these new urban entities were conceived as autonomous towns in view of their function as central places for their regions. This thesis aims to explain how this central function comes to adopt the specific urban pattern of linear development in the mentioned new towns. Such a connection between linearity and the centrality initiated by the transport network is an important key for explaining the process of metropolitan and regional development of Seoul, in logical reference to the three themes of linearity, centrality and transport network

Full textOur essay on the changes in the condition of workers shows management of stronger type in "modernized" firms where workers are more closely controlled, hence entering the disappearance of the relative balance between managers' domination and the labour force, as at the time of the "Fordist compromise". The economic, technological, and social reorganization following the crisis of the 1970s resulted in workers' collectives being dismantled, in class solidarity vanishing, and in unions getting weaker. The "modern" firm has lost its integrative function by making jobs temporary and replacing them according to economic circumstances. Since then, the new balance has been favourable to managers. The traditional forms of workers' resistance have been harmed by the new management method where social control is omnipotent. To counteract the reinforcement of managers' control, new forms of rebellion have appeared : there are defensive rather than offensive, secret, and above all individual rather than collective. Temporary wage-earners, fearing social exclusion, have very little liberty left; the least resigned of them try to make the most of it. This movement is hardly controlled by the management and is a tool for reconquering the self-esteem that was lost in such firms where economic stakes outclass people's lot

We have shown that, in case of intra-abdominal hypertension, the diagnostic value of the test was lower, with many cases false negatives cases. This limitation of the PLR test is of importance because of the prevalence of intra-abdominal hypertension in critically ill patients. The effects of this test should be evaluated on cardiac output, and several methods have already been described for this evaluation. First, we have shown that measuring the effects of the test on carotid and femoral arterial flows was unreliable, with a very poor correlation between changes in cardiac output and those in these two arterial flows. Second, we have described an original and reliable method for measuring the effects of the test, which consists in measuring the perfusion index (PI), the ratio between the pulsatile and non-pulsatile portions of the pulse oximetry signal. Although a stable signal could not be obtained in all patients, changes in this index during PLR allowed the measurement of its effects and the detection of preload responsiveness. These results open up the possibility of measuring the effects of the test with a non-invasive tool that can be used in all patients in the intensive care unit and the operating room. Finally, we applied the PI measurement to another test of preload responsiveness, the end-expiratory occlusion test. It consists in interrupting mechanical ventilation for a few seconds and observing simultaneous changes in cardiac output. Although the changes are smaller than those induced by PLR, these changes were well tracked by PI changes and reliably detected preload dependence

"Évolution de la prise en compte et du traitement des anciennes et nouvelles minorités dans le cadre des systèmes de l'OSCE et du Conseil de l'Europe : "nouvelles minorités" : nouveaux concepts, nouveaux enjeux de la nouvelle Europe." Thesis, Strasbourg, 2015. http://www.theses.fr/2015STRAA029.
Full textThis work focuses on the concept of « new minority » which surfaced in the 2000s and wasinitially analysed by the OSCE. It is a new concept hinging on two notions, minorities and immigrant, which are the factors driving the emergence of this new category: the « new minority from immigrant backgrounds », which includes immigrants, their descendants and refugees in Europe. Our study concentrates more specifically on the first two of these groups, immigrants and their descendants, and on these groups' relationship with the host society as well as the State in which they live. After clarifying the notion of minority and drawing comparisons between new minorities and national minorities, then tracing out a historical overview showing how the notion of minority has evolved, we will arrive at the questions of the protection of the « new minorities » and their integration

Full textThis thesis is a diachronic study of the Irish short story from the early definition of the genre by E. A. Poe in America and its much older roots in the Irish tradition of oral storytelling to its prosperous development in the first decades of the twentieth century. With the new poetics of the genre elaborated tentatively at first by George Moore and then much more audaciously by James Joyce, the Irish short story leaves the field of tradition to enter modernism. In the decade following the Irish Civil War, Liam O’Flaherty and Sean O’Faolain turn back to the mythic foundations of the nation – the landscapes of the West, the soil – to reformulate a place-based sense of Irish identity. However, in the aftermath of the Revolution, Ireland takes refuge in self-centredness, bigotry, censorhip, and the former revolutionaries, O’Faolain and Franck O’Connor, give vent in their “war” stories to oppositional melancholy and to sarcasm to demythologize the revolution. A further development of the short story takes shape in the thirties with Samuel Beckett’s first volume, More Pricks Than Kicks : parody and intertextuality used destructively tend to undermine the conventional base of both story-writing and generic distinctions

Full textThis master thesis is constructed around the notion of territory and what the latter represents for the Kanak of New-Caledonia. As the Indigenous people of the archipelago, the Kanak are intimately linked to the land they occupy which thus becomes the primary underpinning of the group’s identity and history. The social organization, the rhythm of life as well as the indigenous representations are mostly derived from the manifold relationship they maintained with the territory. In such configuration, one cannot dissociate a human being from his mound. As a result of colonization and the historical evolution of the archipelago, Kanak society has undergone major transformations at the social, cultural, political and religious levels. However, one has to admit that many of the specific features of their tradition and custom have been preserved, valued and even revised in the course of time. Faced with the current developmental context, the Kanak appropriate for themselves the tools of modernity and try to make their voices heard at the local and national levels, while asserting their identity, their culture and their willingness to deal with the actors of development. The thesis analyzes the relationships and interactions between Indigenous and non- Indigenous people around the management of territory and its resources in the commune of Yaté in southern New-Caledonia. It focuses on the practices and expectations of the Kanak people in relation with the issues raised by the presence of the other groups of actors and interests in the region and by the difficulty to conciliate the conservation and the development of the territory.

Full textAcylsilanes are «acyl-metal» compounds having the most varied chemistry. This PhD concerns, on the one hand, new synthesis (methods and products) of acylsilanes, on the other hand the study of their reactivity. A method of synthesis based on the hydrolysis of C-silyl enol or enethiol ethers proved to be inappropriate for the preparation of bis(acylsilanes), but provided an original contribution to the array of the acylsilanes synthetic methods. The synthesis of allyl- and vinyl(acyl)silanes and allyl- and vinyl(aroyl)silanes was performed from two types of precusors. Allyl- and vinyl(benzoyl)silanes were prepared by a sequence of silylation/dithioketalisation of 2-phenyl-[1,3]-dithiane and the methodology was extended to aliphatic allyl(acyl)silanes. A sequence silylation/alkylation applied to 1-phenoxyméthyl-1Hbenzotriazole led to allyl- and vinyl(acyl)silanes bearing a long alkyl chain in satisfactory yields. Allyl- and vinyl(acyl)silanes proved to have a poor reactivity in metathesis whatever the Grubbs catalyst used. However ring closing metathesis applied to bis(unsaturated) benzotriazole derivatives led to cyclic intermediates in very good yields. Cross-metathesis applied to an allysilane derived from benzotriazole led, after deprotection, to the expected bis(acylsilane). Allyl(dimethyl)(acyl)silanes exhibited an unexpected reactivity compared with the usual reactivity of acyl(trialkyl)silanes. UV irradiation of allyl(acyl)silanes gave 1-alkyl-2,2-diméthyl-6-oxa-2-sila-bicyclo[2. 2. 0]hexanes, a new type of bicyclic structure, by a totally regioselective intramolecular Paternò-Büchi reaction

Full textAt the beginning of the 2000's, suburban growth around Chinese big cities is accelerating. This spectacular growth greatly impacts urban fabrics. Shanghai becomes an emerging metropolis able to modernize its urban landscape, to mobilize the whole municipality territories, to operate a deconcentration then a polycentric redeployment of both activities and population towards new towns. This doctoral thesis in Geography deals with international urban pattern transmission, urban production in a context of huge public intervention, social and spatial changes in Shanghai new urban peripheries, challenging metropolitan system integration of the new towns built since 1999 in the framework of five polycentric redeployment programs

Full textThe experience of dictatorship represents an all-pervading reality in the short stories : its impact is brought forth both through constantly recurring themes (violence, marginalism, identity crisis) also revealed in the stories writing and through functional permanent features (a questioning of history, a search for identity. . . ). This literature clearly has an fundamental collectiv dimension. However, the experience of dictatorship has not induced uniformity either in the way if is presented or in the writing : in circumstances where living and creating were subjected to oppression, literature remained a space for personal expression and for freedom
