Full textContributions due to the use, by firms, of new information and communication technologies, can be observed from two main levels. On one hand, firms tend to re-structure their communication systems and channels, both inside and outside. These are basic structural changes, since they tend to transform the stages of the production process, as well as the internal organization of the working groups involved. On the other hand, telecommunication infrastructures are extending the economic environment of the industrial organizations as they provide them with a kind of transparency -in terms of information. Combining these two viewpoints makes possible an original analytical approach of the present network of local activity

Full textThe business environment at the end of the 20th century requires that corporations should efficiently manage their information ressources, to wich purpose new information technologies (nit : informatics and telecommunications) can be a great help. However, it is not the present business environment justifies the importance of information ressources, we may add further reason, of genial and technological character. From a general point of view, it may be said that the importance of information within the firms is but me reflection on such social organizations of something that is changing at a global level, wich is said to be entering a new order that has been termed as postindustrial society, or information society amongst other definitions. Nevertheless, in the information society, changes in organizations caused by the introduction of new information technologies are inevitable as organizations are compelled by external environment to be efficient and competitive in order to survive. On a technological level, the progress and generalization of the so-called new information technologies have also played a major role in conferring information ressources me strategic character they possess within organizations. Once mis has been said, one of the purpose of our work is to present our hypothesis that the role to be played by new information technologies within thes organizations should consist on puttin the power of these technologies at the service of an efficient management of information ressources, thus opening a way to have at our disposal the quality in information as required by any firm deserving to be described as adpatable, quick responding, aware of the threats and opportunities of an increasingly internationalized environment, and willing to cater for any present and potential needs of its customers. Come to this point, we would like to to state that another of the purpose of this paper is to show that traditional organizational structures are dissolving and new forms of organizations are emerging. We have tried to outline the organizational changes that the introduction of new information technologies might involve. The main question pointed in our work is wich we might group under the name of +the relationships between nit and organizational structures ;. At this stage, our main hypothesis is + does the growth of nit contribute to the emergence of

Full textThe development of new information and communication technologies (nict) resulting from the digital processing of signs represents major upheavals for the production, the circulation and the use of knowledge and data. Starting with the analysis of the information cycle construction and a socio-logical model of innovation (theory of "translation" and "actor-network" by b. Latour and m. Callon), we will study the genesis of the socio-technical frameworks of new media (regrouped around multimedia and computer networks) in the context of economic strategy and industrial competitiveness. The emergence of this new technical apparatus will be described by a quantitative-qualitative analysis of the business and technological intelligence information diffused by adit (bulletin vigie nti) using an infometric tool (sampler) based on the co-word analysis method. An approach via the analysis of the socio-technical networks enables an emphasis of topics and orientations which do not appear when reading only the technological and business intelligence press

Full textThe office autonation phenomenon has fora long time been limited to a personal and responsive information technology. The purpose of this thesis is to demonstrate to what extempt the computerization of contemporary business management is governed by this primary underlying principle. Our analysis starts from an observation of the sphere of information technology which brings in a number of present restructuring (in the industry, the profession. . . ). The emergence of new actors and the implementation of new strategies - brought about by computer suppliers, users. . . - are taking over rhe role previously played by technicians. This phenomenon is revealing the progressive importance played by the users in the construction of computer technic. Software publishing, as the emergence of communication services or on line information, are based on distincts logics than those computer technicians would have developed. They must be considered as breaking point in the computerization process of business work. These two expressions of the office autamationphenomenon also indicate the present structuration of the information technology market which, by a large diffusion of products and services, create another rationality of computer technic. There is, on a local level inbusiness firms, a reconstitution and a readjustment of the capacities and responsibilities normally assumed by manufacturers (equipment supliers, providers of services) users and technicians. Our questioning is focused on the development of the role and the status of computer scientists in the individualization of practicies in the field of information technology. Observing the aside position of technicians when they face the idea of social construction, we have attempted to deal with questions related to the cultural and ideoliogical fondation of information technology; we think that, in the technician rationality, there are elements which allow one to understand conflicts

Full textThis study aims to analyze the modifications that various digital supports can produce throughout several languages (we take into account Romanian and French). In doing that, it is influenced by the support’s technological features and therefor separates our corpus source accordingly: blog, chat, SMS, Facebook. The purpose is therefor finding if this (or those) new way (s) of communication change the traditional rules of exchange (spoken or written). In order to evaluate the differences between the digital discourse and the previous types, one has to compare the collected data to the prior types: dialogue and conversation. Statistical frequency analysis will complete our perspective as for this new discourse genre’s stability. This will allow shaping its general lines as well as its inner variation. The next step is a comparative study of various intercultural situations (the cultural context that can modify the speaking frame). We turn therefor towards a description of the interactive behavior within the two cultures. We shall take into account the interaction’s prototypical course in a given situation as well as its specificity according to the situation/ frame/ specific speaker
Pasul urmator este trasarea studiului comparativ a situatiilor culturale (contextul cultural inerent putand sa modifice in mod sensibi lcadrul conversational). Ne vom apleca astfel asupra unei descrieri a comportementelor interactive in interiorul celor doua culturi pentru a obtine o comparatie exhaustiva. Astfel derularea prototipica a interactiunii intr-o situatie data cat si declinarile sale specifice in functie de situatie/ cadru/ locutor specific, sunt elemente cheie in cadrul studiului nostru

Full textThe aim of this dissertation is to outline essential tendencies of transformation in the new media based on the New Information Technologies (namely Internet), and to define their importance for the transfer of knowledge from science to business. In the case of tourism, it is assumed to reveal the possibilities for realization of knowledge-based tourism in Bulgaria. The methodology is oriented towards an application of the systemic approach in the field of Science studies. The main thesis is that the new media (namely Internet) permit a change of the attitudes of communicators and of the position of knowledge in the communication context in connection with their heuristic aspects. This change is affected by the new trends in science and business and it is made possible by NIT and activities of IT sector. It also reveals the perspective for knowledge-based tourism. The empirical studies (observation, deep interview, survey, analysis of web-sites) reveal the absence of preconditions in Bulgaria allowing a more perspective orientation towards tourism. The conclusions are related to the necessity of general measures and initiatives aiming to change the strategies concerning communications and tourism

Full textThis research deals with the relationship between the society and new technologies information and communication (NTIC). More precesely it focuses on the relationship between the computer networks and those who use it. In this context, the two following questions must be considered : what futur is therefore an individual's autonomy in this computer age? What are the ideologies behind artificial intelligence system (AI) and particulary by expert system? The author's responds to these questions take the form of two hypotheses : 1. The creator of expert system and more generaly programmers, target and therefore favour the non-autonomus user. 2. The ideologies behind the ntic are the result of mutual determination by emerging techological advances and present day society. In order to prove this hypotheses, he analyses the theory of particulary Simon, Minsky, and Winograd and Flores, all of whom are practicians-thepricians. In short, the author predicts the futur of the expanding and accessible computer area by focusing theoretical and practical. This will enable him to achieve a greater understanding of the underline ideologies of computer development from it's roots up to the present day. This in turn will enable the author to re-evaluate the possibilities of envisaging a more humanist futur for the computer, and to conclude by sketching a computer ethic. This ethic aim to maintain the individual's autonomy by drawning conclusion from expert system and virtual reality technology

Full textThis doctoral thesis aims to assess the consequences of the integration of the new information technology and communication media (NITC) on the workforce in Gabon, concerning both the organisational field and the field of workforce health. More precisely, the objective of the current thesis focuses on three aspects. The first aspect concerns the factors which are bound to facilitate the use of NITC by the employees. The second aspect assesses the changes triggered by the use of NITC in the organisation of the employees’ work. Last but not least, the last aspect assesses the impact of NITC on the physical and psychological health of the employees. A questionnaire was applied on a sample of 136 employees who worked in the banking system in Gabon. The designed tool is structured in four parts: (A) an identification part comprising the socio-demographic variables (age, sex, marital status) and the socio-organisational ones (seniority, daily length of use and frequency of use of the NITC); (B) the Brangier and Hammes scale (2007), which measures the relation man-work-organisation starting from the model of symbiosis; (C) a 30-item questionnaire designed according to the research needs, based on the analysis of the categorial-thematic content of the discourses provided by employees in Gabon while describing their daily work routine. It focuses on the influence of NITC on the organisation of work (efficiency in work, communication practises, autonomy, information overload and professional isolation); (D) a questionnaire built in the same manner as the previous one, exploring the perceived connections between NITC and health at the workplace (physical issues, professional stress and professional well-being at work). Globally, the obtained results show that the connections that the employees in Gabon have with the NITC are strongly correlated with the way in which they use them. However, they do not indicate any connection between the use of NITC inside the organisations in Gabon and the organisation of work. Moreover, these results show that on the one hand the NITC are perceived as the source of physical health issues (particularly musculoskeletal issues) and psychological issues (particularly professional stress), but on the other hand they are also perceived as causing a certain psychological well-being (particularly when it comes to the working environment and the involvement in work/self-accomplishment). Finally, our work highlights two mediations: the sharing technologies (vs. assistive technologies) constitute a total mediator of the relation between the perception of the symbiosis between man-work-organisation and the perceived occurrence of the TMS (vs. depression). Our research also has an applicative dimension on short-term, but it opens the gate towards future research patterns aiming to improve the integration and development of NITC in Gabon on mid-term

Full textIn the international and national institutions policies information and communication technologies are introduced as an infallible tool to reduce spatial heterogeneity and more to be the base of the growth of the developing countries. However, the study of the telecommunication networks in india stress that it reproduces the wealth and other infrastructure distribution disparities. With the aim to understand the fact and to determine what really are the dynamics the use of means of communication have to be studied in the context of an activity which products are strongly material. The study of the use of different means of communication by businessmen of the silk trade network in bangalore (karnataka, india) shows that the size and the commercial orientation of the firm are determinant to explain the intensity of the use of means of telecommunication and of the number of means in the firm. Traditional means of communication are still very used, particularly face to face meeting. Moreover the diffusion of the internet as a tool to do electronic commerce is motivated by the aim conquer the international market but the real use of web sites do not cause very much enthusiasm

Full textPost-apartheid South Africa is deeply ambivalent, combining, on the one hand, strong dynamics of domination, control and reproduction of power relations and structures and, on the other hand, movements that contest these dynamics and foster social change or social dis-order in favor of the dominated population. This articulation of control and contest is more and more using information and communication technologies (ICTs). Based on a sociological, economic and political analysis, covering the last semi-century, the main conclusion of the dissertation is as follows : in the way ICTs are promoted, used and developed through the policies and modes of appropriation deployed by South Africans and though the potential of ICTs is equal for control and for contest, these technologies are supporting the former rather than the latter, until now, given the diffusion of ICTs within the South African society

Full textToday technical and scientific Information is particularly considered as reference. The current study examines with accuracy the value, role and real impact implied by the TIC whose different uses bring about many changes. The focus is on the various transformation as well as the movement content and treatment of information. Our main concern is the new dimension and organization of the tools and means brought about. In the process, information comes out of the intelligence of human action, which invokes a new formulation of the "métis grecque". Information is altered under a double pressure and becomes temporality (past, present and future) and the complexity of the informational system. This creates a new form of knowledge which is connected to several modalities of interaction and retroactions representing some stokes of the underlying social mediation process. We aimed at analyzing the use of intranet in eight organizations as the informational application of a technical network. The cases under study reveal that Intranet is a technical device. It can be used as a concept of organization if we take into account a number of parameters. Our approach relies on an ethnomethodological observation through a theoretical and practical orientation implying distance and commitment. The overall method is based on a anthropological perspective of communication

They are looking at new ways to regain and recapture their culture, language and identity and are in the procès of taking ownership of research processes, concepts and tools. In an attempt to revisit participatory-action research approach and adapt it to aboriginal contexts, we have developed research collaborations with 13 communities from Northern Canada (Cree and Inuit) and Northern Scandinavia (Saami) and organised 20 workshops using collaborative research techniques and tools developed by Chevalier and Buckles from Carleton University. This approach and the tool kit we produced prove to be useful and timely. We were able to address the concerms and challenges that the communities have to face, develop research collaborations between the Cree, the Inuit and the Saami, study community engagement processes in tourism projects and explore new aboriginal research metholodogies. At the same time and during this 3 year Marie Curie research fellowship, we have been exploring the possibilities of developing collaborative research on line via the web 2.0 and ITC. We uploaded 200 aboriginal tourism initiatives represented in the “Aboriginal Destinations” Guidebook, connected their authors in a Content Management System SPIP (www.aboriginal-ecotourism.org), incorporating a variety of integrated technologies: Google Maps™ to provide the geographic placement of the communities; a webbased survey to produce dynamic statistical data to translate the information provided in the narratives/articles into statistical data; discussion forums to add qualitative comments to the quantitative data
Lanceleur, Philippe. "L'expérience KerBabel : une aventure dans la "nouvelle" économie de la connaissance." Thesis, Université Paris-Saclay (ComUE), 2019. http://www.theses.fr/2019SACLV050.
Full textThis thesis retraces the almost twenty years of the KerBabel experiment conducted within the C3ED and then REEDS, at the University of Versailles-Saint-Quentin-en-Yvelines, from 2000 to the present day. We discuss the theme of the knowledge economy, through the prism of several case studies. We question the value of co-construction in a transdisciplinary approach, between the issues of sustainable development and the contribution of digital technology. In particular, we describe how an action-research process has generated many achievements, produced the deliverables required by multiple international projects, and capitalized on the results in order to achieve a global technical and digital architecture in fine.We present a selection of the different experiences where the processes of production, transfer and use of knowledge have taken place. The field of operation concerns Research and Education, and more particularly the mediation of knowledge in the field of ecological economics. The objective is to take stock of studies and projects in which digital technology has played a role. How the knowledge-digital alloy responds to the challenges of research and education, i.e. as a means of research and object of research, or as a means for education and object of education. We show how knowledge mediation and partnerships have been mobilized on case studies at various scales. We describe the multimedia learning and deliberation support systems (SMMAAD) and other creations of KerBabel teams. We describe and question in particular the successful integration of the different experiences through the online platform ePLANETe. One of the interests of this work is to testify to an exercise on long time (on a digital scale). This decline allows us to question the contribution of innovations in the information and communication technologies sectorCan they play a major role in the environmental crisis situation in which we find ourselves? We also question how the structure of the ePLANETe platform globalizes environmental, economic, educational and social issues as a response to social choice issues. In a context of climate emergency, the question of the importance of partnerships takes on a new dimension. It seems to us that the KerBabel experience provides the beginning of an original response that deserves to be adapted at a time when artificial intelligence is causing new stress, for some, or a new opportunity for the development of knowledge and partnerships, for others.Taking these varieties of opinion into account is at the heart of the multi-stakeholder and multi-criteria approaches of the KerBabel experience toolkit. This thesis proposes an immersion in this collegial adventure. After having defined the framework of the experiment, we propose a "knowledge transfer" using the very structure of the ePLANETe platform. We will therefore pass through the 6 thematic doors (or Doorways) that address each of the four spheres of sustainability. Finally, we will end with the outline of a self-assessment of the quality of the platform by...itself. This approach allows us to demonstrate the principles of genericity that are specific to it and to provide an answer through reflective experience

Full textThis town-planning thesis is part of the urban query studies and pushes the social, technical and politico-administration fields. The objects are the technical urban networks (water, purification, transport and telecommunication), and specially the latest generation of information and communication technologies, the " technologies of the society information " (TSI) and their relations with the transformation processes of the physical space and social town in Argentina at the local ladder, between 1990 and 2001. This new topic took recently an important place in the scientific research field thanks to many empirical contributions. The thesis proposes to bring his own contribution with the study of a case in the " Partido " of Quilmes, agglomeration and province of Buenos Aires, while replacing the technical urban red in the context of privatization politic, while identifying and analyzing the experiences using the TSI conducted by the local Argentinean governments, by the community actors and the local businesses (Phone Co-operative, Virtual University, ). On this basis we aggregate elements to know if these technologies allowed creation of a new dimension time-space in the city in the very early years of the new millennium. At the same time, we try to construct a differentiated vision on the TSI, because if Internet is, by definition, a real global network, this does not necessarily mean that the disappearance of borders is not the creation of new, and that his broadcasting and usage are not part of social, cultural, political, economical and technological context

Full textFacing the development of new information technologies, managers ask themselves a fundamental question : what is the impact of these technologies on their growth strategies ? (integration, diversification). The transaction costs analysis of the new information technologies-strategy relationship raises two contradictory results: the integrating capacities of electronic hierarchies diminish internal organizational costs thus enabling further growth through internalization. But the advantages of growing through internalization are also decreasing since interorganizational information systems and electronic markets reduce transaction costs. This allows externalization for more flexibility in an ever changing competitive environment. The final impact of information technologies, as proposed in this thesis, is the emergence of alternative growth strategies : the network strategies, unique combinations of strategy-structure-management processes for the xxi century

Full textThe speeding comet of IT and telecoms is on a collision course with the planet of "employment law". The impact of the net on business has brought about profound changes in daily working relations. A feeling of freedom for some and an increase of control for others, the internet offers every one the means to realise his or her ambitions, but at what price ? The study of the consequences of the arrival of NTIC on the individual relationship in the workplace responds to this question, in the light of practical cases but equally texts and judicial precedents on the subject. The study of the consequences of NTIC on trade unionism in the compagny, but also on elected representatives, allows a review to be made of the implications of NTIC on the collective relations in the compagny

Full textThe use of New Information Technologies (NIT) has been very popular these last years in teamwork within firms. This popularity is a consequence of a both technological and cultural phenomenon : The Internet and its derivatives (Extranet, Intranet). The Internet phenomenon has led to the rise of new ways of working, communicating and managing knowledge in organizations. Yet to the firm, using NIT or not is a strategic choice : A wrong decision may lead to death. That is what came to happen to several firms that went though NIT adoption without first analysing the eventual consequences on their competencies. This might be the reason why 48% of the CEOS we met still have negative prejudices about the impact of NIT on learning and communication in their firm. This emphasizes the necessity to study the actual impact of NIT on communication as well as individual and collective knowledge within the firm. Data in this research were collected before and after the implementation of NIT in a Management Information System. Two methods were used : The first one is qualitative, and was based on an action-research. The second one is quantitative, and used statistical analyses of means and variances differences. The main result of this research is that NIT integration in a Management Information System may facilitate access to accurate information and knowledge, and booster performance in the workplace, while not necessarily improving interpersonal cooperation and collaboration

Full textThe thesis is concerned with the productivity impact of IT. Indeed, there is no consensus to assert if IT increases the productivity or not. The thesis proposes to reconsider the production theory. The management activities are explicitly considered and distinguished. In short, the enterprise is divided in two kinds of activities: Core activities which contain all resources that are directly concerned with production, and ancillary activities which contain all inputs that are not dedicated to the production process. The thesis models mathematically a production function that includes the ancillary activities together with the core activities. An important assumption of the model is that the core production is complementary to ancillary production. We obtain several results. First, we derive a mathematical formula for the productivity of the manager. Second, we conclude that the impact of a technological change on productivity depends on the kind of activity. The more the technological change concerns ancillary activities, the less the impact of the technological change will be. Some econometric studies confirm our results. We find similar results for the French Industrial sector in 1997. We find a positive and significant relationship between the proportion of blue collars using computers and labor productivity. These is not the case with clericals

Full textThe recourse pronounced of the Information and Communication Technology (ICT) coincide with the movement of company reorganisation and changes of means of consummation initiated from the 1970s. These evolutions have, as far as there, not seemed converge on a formation of standard company reference. That is why, if the taking into consideration of the demand spread, the progressive context in which become integrated the ITC as well as the importance of company history, explain the coexistence of organisational configuration varied. The technicals in question are widely diffused in the company and promote innovation, that is the product as organisational, providing that been associated with other factors such company organisation, the salaried ability, etc. The company reorganisation allows exploiting better the potentiality in (interm of stocking) and transfer of information of their equipment and improving the product quality or claimed service (supply diversification, steady of orders). If most of the authors are convinced of the ITC importance, the beneficial effects show themselves where they were last expected, in a extensively taylorism organisation of work, and that, in spite of the contemporary evolution. The taylorism assert itself by his character more general (the product standardisation allowing to increase scale economy) not for all that neglect the toyotist concept (notably on the products differentiation and on time reduction). The ITC use, although by organisational modification, not lead in a theoretical point of view, in a constitution of a new company model because those are majoritily management principles older (notably from taylorism) who been taking back and adapted

Full textThis search arose from a practical reality of a cabinet of speech therapy located in the crossroads of medical deserts.Starting from the problem bound to the necessity of ensuring a fair offer of care for all and worried of adapting these offers by benefiting from technological evolutions and from evolutions of the social community uses, we led our search in an exploratory prospect Our main hypothesis is that the useof tools and ICTS services, especially e-learning, is a solution to face organizational and logistic difficulties concerning the implementation of care for all.Speech therapy is a health profession and by the way, it cannot be sum-up to an educational practice. The relation of care with the patient makes its sense. The practice brings the speech therapist to choose of a re-educational project which is articulated around a guideline locating the patient at the core of the problem, instrumented by educational methods. That is why, we wondered about the contributions of the researches in the field of the e-learning that could contribute to empower the speech therapy practice. The objective is thus double: To contribute to enrich the scientific research in the domain of the e-speech therapy and to propose solutions to the growing demand of care to counterbalance an insufficient offer in some regions. We base our approach on the perspectives and the teachings of the FOAD, in a project of educational change that under the hypothesis of the validity of these perspectives for the practice of care and "reeducation" that is the speech therapy practice. In a first step, to be in a theoretical perspective, we described the reality of speech-therapy practice as a face-to-face.Then, we have shown the benefits of the FOAD processes. We also conducted a literature review on e-speech therapy and the various experiments carried out. From a historical point of view, we have discussed the evolution of face to face speech-therapy, ICT and remote re-education.We have also oriented our work towards a techno-pedagogical point of view, in the field of educational sciences, with the changing roles in the relation to knowledge, driven by the technical advantages offered by the FOAD platforms, which initiate autonomy, interactivity, flexibility, and social constructivism.Concerning the method, we decided to carry out an action-research project. Thus, our collection of information was initially settled on a survey questionnaire exploring the feeling of patient of e-speech therapy and then on a clinical practice experiment presented in the form of clinical cases. The results led to perspectives of enrichment of the clinical practice and the speech-therapic skills. They also allowed us to make some recommendations for other researches. Our analysis confirmed the hypothesis according to which, e-reeducation, can meet the challenges of the quality of the speech-therapy practice while joining the societal evolution introduced by the e-technologies.However, if the reluctance to e-speech therapy are still existing, our vision of the future of the e-speech therapy converges on the conception of hybrid methods, mutualizing the skills and the offers of care, where both face-to-face and virtual modes will exist with other informal and social modes of reeducation, widely favored by the tools of Web 2.0.These approaches answer in an innovative way to the growing demand of quality security of the care and the skills of the practitioners by showing itself as successful tools in the offer of care, training and expertise

Full textThe aim of this research is to give a response to the impact of decision support new information technologies on an individual semi-structured decision process. We work on four hypotheses : H1. There is an impact of new information technologies on decision process. H2. Organization can be seen as a filter of the impact of new information technologies. H3. The study of the impact of new information technologies on decision process leads to a double perception : the conception and management level and the user and operational level H4. Rationality criterion can explain the impact of new information technologies on a decision process. Using a model and with a double approach, analytic and experimental (in a banking environment) we give an interpretation of these impact relations using a procedural rationality criterion. At least we demonstrate the potentiality of these technologies in the improvement of decision process rationality
