This paper presents two novel formulations for scheduling problems, namely order-position hybrid formulation (OPH) and order-disjunctive hybrid formulation (ODH), which extend and combine parts of existing formulation strategies. The first strategy (OPH) is based on sequence position and linear ordering formulations, adding relationships between constraints that allow relaxing some decision variables. The second approach (ODH) is based on linear ordering and disjunctive formulations. In this work, we prove ODH to be the most efficient formulation known so far. The experiments have been carried

Abstract:
This work seeks to unveil system dynamic predictability beyond existing data and model horizons, and beyond methodological paradigms in classical physics, machine learning and artificial intelligence, in order to increase awareness and preparedness to predict and tackle complexity and multi-hazards in a changing world, one where the coevolution among humans and nature has been reshaping the structure and functioning of our planet and the multiscale multidomain interactions within. For this purpose, we design and implement our next-generation Information Physical suite of Augmented Post-Quantum

Abstract:
In Israel and in the U.S., Streptococcus iniae is responsible for considerable losses in various fish species. Poor understanding of its virulence factors and limited know-how-to of vaccine formulation and administration are the main reasons for the limited efficacy of vaccines. Our strategy was that in order to Improve control measures, both aspects should be equally addressed. Our proposal included the following objectives: (i) construction of host-pathogen interaction models; (ii) characterization of virulence factors and immunodominant antigens, with assessment of their relative importance

Abstract:
We present a systematic investigation of computational approaches to the modeling of granular materials. Granular materials are ubiquitous in everyday life and in a variety of engineering and industrial applications. Despite the apparent simplicity of the laws governing particle-scale interactions, predicting the continuum mechanical response of granular materials still poses extraordinary challenges. This is largely due to the complex history dependence resulting from continuous rearrangement of the microstructure of granular material, as well as the mechanical interlocking due to grain morph
