Abstract:
ABSTRACTThe control of Salmonella from farm to fork is challenging because of the lack of symptoms on contaminated fresh produce and the limited effectiveness of control methods before and after harvest. Therefore, the identification of new antimicrobials effective against Salmonella is needed to improve food safety. In this study, we investigated the activity of four anti-Salmonella small molecules (SMs; SM1, SM3, SM4, and SM5) on tomato tissues contaminated with Salmonella enterica subsp. enterica serotype Typhimurium (JSG626). No toxicity was detected on tomato seeds, seedlings, and fruits when tissues were treated with 200 μM SM. Moreover, SM1 and SM4 reduced (79 and 64%, respectively) the Salmonella Typhimurium population in tomato seedlings when sprayed on the leaves with two times the minimal bactericidal concentration (SM1 = 100 μM, SM3 and SM5 = 50 μM, and SM = 20 μM) at −1 and 3 days postinfection. The four SMs (200 μM) that have antagonistic effects on Salmonella had limited effect on the growth of beneficial plant bacteria (Bacillus amyloliquefaciens strain BA1 and Bacillus subtilis strain BS1, and Enterobacter sp. strain SM1796). SM1 and SM4, when combined with BA1 or SM1796, reduced the Salmonella Typhimurium population by at least 98.2% in tomato plants. The four SMs (at two times the minimal bactericidal concentration) also reduced the Salmonella Typhimurium population on the surface and inside contaminated green mature and ripe tomato fruits up to 95% after spraying or soaking the fruits in cold water for 30 min. The real-time in vivo imaging data showed that the stem abscission zone in fruits represents a major source of internalization and persistence of Salmonella Typhimurium against antimicrobials. The four SMs also displayed bactericidal effect on phytopathogens at 200 μM. This study demonstrates that these novel SMs could represent safe bactericides for control of Salmonella and phytopathogens in fresh produce and are compatible for use in combination with biocontrol agents.HIGHLIGHTS

Abstract:
SMS is a form of communication in the form of messages sent using mobile phones between the designated numbers. SMS is now rarely used because many of the features that have changed are used by chat applications. However, the SMS feature was not removed for one thing, official messages from various applications for leveraging or other official information still use SMS as a sign that the phone number used is there. However, since 2011 there have been so many misuses of this function, so it is suspected that many frauds use SMS as a tool to influence victims. This sms category goes to SMS spam. Therefore, SMS needs to be classified so that users can find out that the SMS is included in the category of Spam or ham (the opposite of spam). Using 400 datasets taken from the UCI repository which is divided into two classes, namely spam and ham, we compare two classification methods, namely Naive Bayes and Support vector Machine in order to get SMS filtering correctly. And after the calculations are done, the accuracy is obtained in Naive Bayes, which is 90.00% Support Vector Machine 81.00%.

Abstract:
Phytopathogenic fungi, causing significant economic and production losses, are becoming a serious threat to global food security. Due to an increase in fungal resistance and the hazardous effects of chemical fungicides to human and environmental health, scientists are now engaged to explore alternate non-chemical and ecofriendly management strategies. The use of biocontrol agents and their secondary metabolites (SMs) is one of the potential approaches used today. Trichoderma spp. are well known biocontrol agents used globally. Many Trichoderma species are the most prominent producers of SMs with antimicrobial activity against phytopathogenic fungi. Detailed information about these secondary metabolites, when grouped together, enhances the understanding of their efficient utilization and further exploration of new bioactive compounds for the management of plant pathogenic fungi. The current literature provides the information about SMs of Trichoderma spp. in a different context. In this review, we summarize and group different antifungal SMs of Trichoderma spp. against phytopathogenic fungi along with a comprehensive overview of some aspects related to their chemistry and biosynthesis. Moreover, a brief overview of the biosynthesis pathway, action mechanism, and different approaches for the analysis of SMs and the factors affecting the regulation of SMs in Trichoderma is also discussed.

Abstract As the clinical laboratory advances toward total automation, the marketplace is now demanding more-efficient sample-handling systems. These demands have arisen over a relatively short period of time, in part because of heightened concern over laboratory safety and the resulting manpower shortages. Adding sample-handling capabilities to existing instrumentation is often a challenge, because usually mechanical or system constraints are present that interfere. This challenge has been overcome in the DuPont Sample Management System (SMS), a second-generation general chemistry analyzer that incorporates the latest barcode and computer-interfacing technology. The development of the SMS system relies heavily on recent advances in technology, e.g., software modeling and computer-aided design. The SMS system includes a barcode scanner based on "charge-coupled device" technology, a random-access sample wheel, and new software that oversees the various functions.

Abstract:
ABSTRACTTo what extent does the distinctiveness of Nigerian English come through in text messages? In the history of the English language certain developments have left significant linguistic marks on the language. As new developments and cultural forms occur, new words and styles of expression evolve with them and spread. This is true of the new linguistic style that is associated with the Global System for Mobile Communications (GSM) revolution in Nigeria since 2001. GSM has brought with it a variety of English that is situationally distinctive and context. GSM came to Nigeria with the licensing of MTN and Econet (now Celtel) in 2001 during the Obasanjo administration, after many years of decaying telecommunication infrastructure. Within a short time after the introduction of mobile telecommunication, almost a million subscribers mainly in the cities made a rush at possessing mobile phones and were willing to pay any tariff. N50 (50 naira) were paid per minute per call as against N15 per text message. This was said to be the highest rate in Africa, causing many subscribers to opt for text-messaging as a cheaper alternative.

Abstract:
Short Messaging Service (SMS) being an almost instantaneous communication medium that connects people is now a phenomenon that has grown and spread around the globe at an amazing speed. Given the current trend of SMS usage and its potential growth, this paper provides an insight into SMS adoption. The study attempts to delineate the demographics and usage profile of SMS users in Malaysia, as well as explaining the factors influencing SMS adoption in Malaysia by using a modified version of the Technology Acceptance Model (TAM), which was originally introduced by Davis (1989). The study presents the demographic and usage profile in terms of gender, age, occupation, monthly personal income, extent of SMS usage and so forth of 489 SMS users from four institutions of education in the Klang Valley and Selangor. The present research uses and validates the scales for variables developed by earlier studies, namely perceived usefulness, perceived ease of use, perceived enjoyment, and perceived fees, which are hypothesized to be fundamental determinants of behavioural intention. The scale items for the said variables were tested for reliability, correlation and regression. The application of correlation analysis reveals a significant relationship among the independent variables, namely, perceived usefulness, perceived enjoyment, and perceived ease of use with the dependent variable that is behavioural intention. With regards to the level of importance derived from regression analysis, usefulness ranks the highest, followed by ease of use and enjoyment in explaining SMS adoption in Malaysia. Perceived fees do not seem to have a significant relationship with behavioural intention. Some implications, limitations and recommendations for future research are also discussed.

Abstract:
Modular multilevel converters (MMCs) are expected to play an important role in future high voltage direct current (HVDC) grids. Moreover, advanced MMC topologies may include various submodule (SM) types. In this sense, the modeling of MMCs is paramount for HVDC grid studies. Detailed models of MMCs are cumbersome for electromagnetic transient (EMT) programs due to the high number of components and large simulation times. For this reason, simplified models that reduce the computation times while reproducing the dynamics of the MMCs are needed. However, up to now, the models already developed do not consider hybrid MMCs, which consist of different types of SMs. In this paper, a procedure to simulate MMCs having different SM topologies is proposed. First, the structure of hybrid MMCs and the modeling method is presented. Next, an enhanced procedure to compute the number of SMs to be inserted that takes into account the different behavior of full-bridge SMs (FB-SMs) and half-bridge submodules (HB-SMs) is proposed in order to improve the steady-state and dynamic response of hybrid MMCs. Finally, the MMC model and its control are validated by means of detailed PSCAD simulations for both steady-state and transients conditions (AC and DC faults).

Study level/applicability It is best suited to teach undergraduates and graduates in the areas of rural marketing, agri-business management, service management and information and communication technology for development. Case overview India is changing with great pace by inclusive growth on espousal of technology into the mainstream. Indian farmers are wholly depending even now on traditional methods for decision making on entire agriculture supply chain. The constant decision making provides middle men with a chance to exploit and empower themselves on the returns produced by farmers. Technology is creating waves providing an opportunity for farmers to benefit by adopting information and technology to solve their basic livelihood problems. The Thomson Reuter group launched a SMS-based mobile information service to support India's 250-million-strong agricultural community. The service, named Reuters Market Light (RML), is trying to provide a missing link by providing required information in the quickest possible time to farmers; user need-based services are critical to this. How far RML services are delivering in this context is quizzed by some analysts. Thomson Reuter's service started with the global climb down in commodity prices, coupled with increased risk of natural disasters as per experts. The competitors providing similar services at price which differ with RML wondered about the success, scalability and sustainability of its venture. Expected learning outcomes This is a practical view of how these interventions can be better looked at and can get into policy for a framework for rural areas' socio-economic development. Abstract:
A majority of the world’s population now live in areas with a mobile telephone network. This expansion of the network enables people to use more mobile phone functionalities such as short message service, multimedia, and the Internet. Mobile phone–based health (mHealth) interventions have been considered to have benefits in low-income countries. The aim of this study was to explore the feasibility of a short message service for breastfeeding education in Ethiopia. Four focus groups—two with mothers and two with fathers—were conducted with a total of 41 participants. The focus group discussion recordings were transcribed in Tigrigna verbatim, and then translated to English. The data were analyzed using thematic analysis, underpinned by the technology acceptance model. The following four general themes emerged from the focus group discussions: (1) Mobile phones: integrated into everyday life; (2) SMS text messaging: anytime, anywhere, as long as there is a sound; (3) Marketing versus utility: a barrier to SMS; and (4) Scientific messages from credible experts are key to reading SMS-based messages. Parents in Ethiopia showed interest in receiving weekly infant feeding-related short messages. Short message service–based interventions could therefore be an option for improving knowledge and awareness of parents regarding infant feeding.

Abstract:
Traditionally site safety is a concern for the Architectural, Engineering & Construction (AEC) industry. In view of government of Hong Kong initiating a number of large scale AEC projects and a relative high number of serious accidents continue to occur, site safety will remain an issue for the local AEC. Recently, Building Information Modeling (BIM) or digital simulation and data management software have been attracting much attention both in Hong Kong and in the international sector. It is a notable question to ask “Is it possible to use BIM to improve site safety in Hong Kong?” For over ten years now, the concept of Safety Management System (SMS) has been adopted in Hong Kong as the strategy for site safety management systems. It is commonly accepted in Hong Kong the drive to establish, implement and monitor SMS comes from registered safety officer (RSO) and registered safety auditor (RSA). Thus, in theory views of safety auditors on the use of BIM for safety can reflect whether or not BIM is effective tool to improve site safety. In this paper, the SMS regulation in Hong Kong will be briefly outlined and then results of a survey of members of the Society of Accredited Safety Auditor (SASA) in Hong Kong will be presented. It is concluded that 78% of the respondents to this study believe there is benefit for using BIM for SMS and commonly respondents refer to using BIM for visualization of construction sequences and planning of hazard controls. This study provides the background to a wider investigation of the linkage between BIM and Health and Safety Management.

Abstract:
BackgroundChildren hospitalised with severe anaemia in Africa are at high risk of readmission or death within 6 months after discharge. No strategy addresses this post-discharge period. In Malawi, 3 months of post-discharge malaria chemoprevention (PMC) with monthly 3 day courses of artemether-lumefantrine (AL) in children with severe malarial anaemia prevented 31% of deaths and readmissions. There is now a need to design and evaluate an effective delivery strategy for PMC.MethodsThis is a cluster-randomised trial whose primary objective is to determine the optimum PMC delivery strategy by comparing community versus health facility-based strategies with the aim to inform policy. Convalescent children under 5 years old, weighing >5 kg, admitted with severe anaemia and clinically stable are included. All children received dihydroartemisinin-piperaquine 2, 6 and 10 weeks after discharge, either: 1) at discharge with SMS reminder; 2) at discharge without an SMS reminder; 3) at discharge and community health worker reminder; 4) at the hospital with an SMS reminder; or 5) at the hospital without an SMS reminder. The primary outcome measure is uptake of courses of PMC drugs. Children will be followed up for 15 weeks. The sample size is 75 children per arm (375 total).ResultsThe study has nearly completed enrollment and preliminary data analysis is in progress. We expect to identify the most effective, cost-effective, acceptable and feasible strategy for delivering intermittent preventive therapy post-discharge for management of severe anaemia in under-five children.ConclusionThe findings of this study will be presented; they address the knowledge gap regarding the potentially preventable component of the burden that occurs after discharge from hospital, and inform the optimal delivery strategy for PMC.

This paper presents an efficient system which detects the vehicle accident and sends intimation to the registered mobile numbers such as ambulance or vehicle owner or police etc. IOT based vehicle tracking system detect the Accidents and it sends the position of the vehicle to the specified or pre-programmed mobile number as an SMS. Not only prohibited the accidents. It also prevents the vehicle from theft. If we want opening the door of the vehicle then we need to press a button. Now the owner of the vehicle gets an SMS to grant access. The door will be opened after the authentication only. If an unknown one tries to open the door of the vehicle then you can restrict that person by using mobile. The GPS is used for tracking the vehicle in this system. If any accident detected then an alert will be given with buzzer. Now the driver can press button to stop that. If it is small accident, here the driver can stop the buzzer if the vehicle is safe with in time period. Otherwise an alert will be sent to the owner of the car. It indicates that the person in car or car in trouble.

Fire hazard is a danger that is caused by the potential threat and the degree of exposure to fire from the start of a fire to the spread of fire, smoke, and the gas it causes. Fire is a fire incident that is not desired. In general, the information process for fires still uses the manual method, this is done because it has not taken advantage of the sophistication of technology which is now very rapidly developing. This fire information is not fast and accurate, especially for fire fighting units. The purpose of this research is to design a system that can be used to quickly inform fires along with location information at the scene of the fire. The method used in this research is the experimental method and design both in hardware and supporting software. The hardware uses fire sensors, smoke sensors, and temperature sensors, and informs via GSM module as well as the GPS module to read the coordinates of the fire location. The results of the design of early warning tools and fire location information based on Arduino Uno worked well. On the sending device, when there is a fire, there is smoke and the temperature is above 50 degrees, the device sends an SMS to the receiving device and the SMS link on the google maps location of the fire. On the receiving device, when the device receives an SMS from the sending device, the device will create a buzzer. The tool works as planned and can be used to check for fires.

Abstract:
For some years now there has been a growing use of cloud computing technologies in education. This paper reports a systematic mapping study (SMS) about the interest in the innovation of methods, techniques, and tools applied to teaching activities based on the use of cloud computing. The SMS presented here was designed using a consolidated, reliable, rigorous methodology and implemented in a replicable and verifiable manner. The process adopted is based on the selection of papers in accredited online digital libraries. This research made it possible to identify and analyze the empirical evidence in relation to the use of cloud computing in education with the aim of identifying both the main topics currently shared by researchers and the less explored areas to be integrated into a research agenda. The results show that only 17% of the 940 works examined report empirical research about the innovation introduced in educational environments of all levels and degrees by the cloud. The results also show that the type of method most widely used was that of feedback. The areas that have attracted the most interest from the research community are those of the new learning environment, collaboration platforms, and virtual laboratories. However, since the same areas are less supported by empirical research than others, we believe that these should be more closely monitored by the scientific community.

It is believed that safety is the major issue for the aviation industry. According to Boeing Study %15 of the fatal accidents are incurred by maintenance sources related. On the other hand, from the last ten years safety management system which firstly introduced by ICAO became popular in the aviation industry. In the beginning, enforcement by ICAO Annex 19 then following it consequtively by EASA’s regulation, at the same time issued many advisory circulars by FAA that SMS entried in force and still other authorities are acting by similar way. However, the most important element of the SMS is based on properly establishment of safety culture in organization. Up to now there are many methods introduced in the literature for measuring safety culture of aviation organizations. Even though an aviation company may select one model as to another one for measuring own safety culture, but they are not sure whether this model run perfectly and reflect true results or not. In this study it is aimed to bring out how the proposed ECAST’s safety culture model which is compliance for the aviation maintenance organizations by validating Structural Equation Modelling.

Abstract:
Abstract I started in the swine industry in 1973 and served for the last 16 years as one of the owners of Swine Management Services (SMS), LLC. I have spent time in a lot of swine facilities of all sizes and ages, and I have seen lots of ideas tried and changes made both positive and negative. I feel that good sow data is your road map to monitoring farms and changes as they are made. SMS has created a company that takes sow reports, does the analysis, and sends written reports to the farm and management for review. SMS currently works with over 450,000 sows in the industry. The farm benchmarking program has 1.6+ million sows from 900+ farms in the United States, Canada, and Australia with data goes back 13 years. It compares farms based on pigs weaned / mated female / year with range of <18 to 34+ pigs. Top farms have figured out the need for quality labor, and they know that gilts are the key to the future—and they will make farrowing changes to improve day 1 care procedures to save more of those pigs. We now see farms with total born at 16+ pigs, pigs weaned per litter at 13+ pigs, pigs weighing 13+ pounds at 19 day weaning age, and sows after weaning coming back into heat in less than 5 days with 95+% breed by day 7. What are their bodies going through? I feel that the ability to manage and feed these high-producing females needs researching. Will that include a lot of work on the nutrition side, floors for sows in lose sows housing, and free stalls in lactation? Where is the trained labor needed coming from?

Now days the conflict takes place between human and elephant is one of the biggest issue throughout the world. In Tamilnadu the biggest elephant conflict arise in villages available near nilgris, muthumalai, etc. Most of the Asian and African countries has farm land, it gets affected by elephants. The crop land are affected by elephants it is one of the biggest issue throughout the world. There some traditional methods like use of fire crackers, drum beating, construction of elephant barriers, noise-making, fencing etc. are used so far. But these methods are not effective in all the situation to prevent the crop as well as human from elephants. The proposed system is more efficient and accurate than the other systems. The vibration sensor is used to detect the movement of elephant in forest border areas. The elephant is captured through camera. The animal is found out of camera zone it is detected through the sound produced by elephant. The captured image is send to database and the SMS is sent to nearby forest officers, crop field owner and also public people. The SURF algorithm is used to match the captured image with database. Likewise audio finger print algorithm is used to detect the algorithm through voice command. Here ZigBee is used to transmit the SMS to 25 meter around the forest areas.

Abstract:
Background Coronavirus disease (COVID-19) has spread globally with far-reaching, significant, and unprecedented impacts on health and everyday life. Threats to mental health, psychological safety, and well-being are now emerging, increasing the impact of this virus on world health. Providing support for these challenges is difficult because of the high number of people requiring support in the context of a need to maintain physical distancing. This protocol describes the use of SMS text messaging (Text4Hope) as a convenient, cost-effective, and accessible population-level mental health intervention. This program is evidence-based, with prior research supporting good outcomes and high user satisfaction. Objective The project goal is to implement a program of daily supportive SMS text messaging (Text4Hope) to reduce distress related to the COVID-19 crisis, initially among Canadians. The prevalence of stress, anxiety, and depressive symptoms; the demographic correlates of the same; and the outcomes of the Text4Hope intervention in mitigating distress will be evaluated. Methods Self-administered anonymous online questionnaires will be used to assess stress (Perceived Stress Scale), anxiety (Generalized Anxiety Disorder-7 scale [GAD-7]), and depressive symptoms (Patient Health Questionnaire-9 [PHQ-9]). Data will be collected at baseline (onset of SMS text messaging), the program midpoint (6 weeks), and the program endpoint (12 weeks). Results Data analysis will include parametric and nonparametric techniques, focusing on primary outcomes (ie, stress, anxiety, and depressive symptoms) and metrics of use, including the number of subscribers and user satisfaction. Given the large size of the data set, machine learning and data mining methods will also be used. Conclusions This COVID-19 project will provide key information regarding prevalence rates of stress, anxiety, and depressive symptoms during the pandemic; demographic correlates of distress; and outcome data related to this scalable population-level intervention. Information from this study will be valuable for practitioners and useful for informing policy and decision making regarding psychological interventions during the pandemic. The banking industry currently wants to provide the best service to the public because of the many bank expansion that has just sprung up but already offers a lot of banking convenience services. This begins with the application of digital marketing that makes it easy for customers to make transactions. Digital marketing is very easy because transactions can be done only through smartphones or other devices. Some banks have services such as internet banking, mobile banking, SMS banking, and customers can now create new accounts using only their smartphones. This makes digital marketing a new service prima donna in providing services to the public in the banking world in Indonesia. On a random Tuesday in May 2019, I found myself in Shanghai's Pudong International Airport, waiting in a fortunately short and quickly moving immigration line prior to a return flight home. Just to the right was an immigration desk with what appeared to be a new sign: a “Belt-and-Road” channel (Yidai yilu tongdao). There was no one behind the BRI desk. I was intrigued by this, but of course did not dare to take a photograph of the sign in a restricted zone. Twenty minutes later I attempted to log on from the airline lounge, and ended with failure. The relevant two-step process now involved a passport scan, the receipt of a registration number that required inputting an (overseas) mobile number and receiving SMS verification with further password. The juxtaposition of the fast-track but empty BRI immigration desk and the clunky double verification procedure to get online at all seemed to encapsulate much China's current position in the world.

Spectrum, Nidan's predecessor which was set up as a small office home office (SOHO) in 1996 had survived for over 8 years by doing small time software development for small and medium enterprises (SMEs) in Jabalpur. Given that everyone involved with Spectrum were first generation entrepreneurs, survival of the venture had given them enough confidence to keep going. In its search for bigger, better margin projects that would give steady income, NTPL had set its eyes on government and public utility projects. SMS based railway enquiry system was the first idea which NTPL believed would take it to the next level. NTPL was successful in convincing the Indian railway's Central West Railway zonal officials about the need for such a system. Though NTPL wanted to tie-up with all the cellular service providers in the circle to offer this service, it could convince only Idea, the largest cellular service provider in the circle in partnering with NTPL for this service. Everything seemed to go well during the nine months trial period. Following an open bid tender, in which NTPL was the sole bidder, commercial operations were started in January 2006. However a year later, it appeared that NTPL was back to square one with around 1.7% of the total rail enquiries in the zone being routed through NTPL's system, Rail Nidan. Breakeven was nowhere in sight. After deliberations, Vishal Karendikar had to decide on one of the following options that had emerged in the January 2007 meeting with his four other partners; a) Bid adieu to the project. b) Make the venture profiable. c) Sell it off to a prospective buyer right now or once the project is on the path to profiability?

Abstract:
The United States has the world’s highest prison population, and an estimated one in seven HIV-positive persons in the USA passes through a correctional facility annually. Given this, it is critical to develop innovative and effective approaches to support HIV treatment and retention in care among HIV-positive individuals involved in the criminal justice (CJ) system. Information and communication technologies (ICTs), including mobile health (mHealth) interventions, may offer one component of a successful strategy for linkage/retention in care. We describe CARE+ Corrections, a randomized controlled trial (RCT) study now underway in Washington, that will evaluate the combined effect of computerized motivational interview counseling and postrelease short message service (SMS) text message reminders to increase antiretroviral therapy (ART) adherence and linkage and retention in care among HIV-infected persons involved in the criminal justice system. In this report, we describe the development of this ICT/mHealth intervention, outline the study procedures used to evaluate this intervention, and summarize the implications for the mHealth knowledge base.

Abstract:
Background: Incidence of Esophageal cancer (EC) is increasing now a days and it has became a sixth leading cause of cancer related death in world. EC is associated with multiple risk factors. Despite various advances in the treatment of EC, it remains one of the least responsive tumors to cancer therapy, thereby overall prognosis remains poor. The current status of EC in North West India in relation to the demographics, diagnosis, staging, multimodality treatment, and the future perspectives are discussed. Methods and Materials: This is a retrospective analysis of medical records of the EC patients registered in the Department of Radiation Oncology SMS Medical and Attached Hospitals Jaipur from January 2015 to December 2019. Results: Out of 10,464 patients with various malignancies registered in SMS hospital for radiotherapy via Co-60 technique in the previous 5 years from 2015-2019; 449 were having EC. 40.25% patients were in 6th decade and male to female ratio was 1.49:1. EC was most common in farmers (51.79%) and 76.16% patients were the resident of rural areas addicted with smoking (41.4%) and tobacco chewing (24.7%) habit. Dysphagia was the presenting feature in almost all the patients. Most common type and site of involvement were squamous type (75.72%) and middle third (45.43%) part of the esophagus respectively. 39.19% patients presented in stage III and 24.70% patients in stage IVA. The patients were planned with treatment according to their age, performance status, extent of disease and other co-morbidities. Conclusions: At our centre most of the patients landed up in advanced stage poverty, illiteracy, ignorance, late diagnosis. Majority of the EC patient were addicted with smoking and tobacco chewing habit, hence screening of high risk population and lifestyle modifications limiting the use of tobacco, may help in the early detection and can decrease the mortality related to EC. Careful selection of patients for radical treatment is very important for providing relatively longer disease free interval.

Abstract:
The world is changing rapidly due to information technology, and all the people around the world are busy with their jobs, and business, adjusting to this race. Now, parents are giving more time at their business, office, and jobs, instead of passing the time at home, but they always get worried and scared about their children due to abuse of Information Technology and the country's law and order situation. So, parents are wanted to track and monitor their child's activities and location from anywhere to resolve their pressure. But is not possible for every parent to monitor their child physically due to many reasons. This paper presents a system that will help parents monitor their child activities from anywhere using a mobile phone to solve the problem. This android app uses global positioning system (GPS) and mobile services to find the child location and secretly stored all the call logs, hort message service (SMS) logs, contact lists, and accurate locations without knowing the children. Children assume that they are using Facebook, browsing the net or watching videos from youtube. It will not hamper any activities of the child. Parents can check all the activities of children using this app.

Abstract:
Background Optimal disease surveillance provides opportunities for identifying outbreaks early and intervening to reduce their spread and impact. The availability of mobile phone technologies have improved communication across the world and now serves as an effective system for frontline healthcare workers to gather and disseminate data that can inform actions at country and program levels. In Nigeria, with an estimated population of over 200 million people spread across a wide land mass area of 923,763 km2, surveillance for diseases will require innovative strategies with penetrative abilities to the lowest levels of healthcare to achieve desired outcomes. Objective The objective was to describe the outcomes of reporting using mobile technology to enhance surveillance. Methods An SMS-based reporting tool was developed which conforms to the nationally approved weekly reporting format for IDSR 002 diseases. A total of nine diseases and public health events are reported weekly by 774 Disease Surveillance and Notification Officers (DSNOs) at the Districts. On reporting days (Tuesdays), the DSNOs receive a reminder via SMS to send in their reports, which is shortly followed by the reporting template. The DSNOs enter the weekly data for their respective data and send via SMS. The data is received nationally at the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) where staff provide oversight function on reports coming in by states. The team monitor reporting through visualization monitoring boards and respond to wrongly sent reports by calling up the DSNO. Collated reports by states are shared with the State Supervisory Teams on nationally approved Excel sheets which bypasses the cumbersome nature of direct data entry on the Excel sheets. Reports are validated by the state before the final version of the Excel sheets are shared with the NCDC. Completeness, timeliness of data, and alert threshold of reported cases were used to monitor the reporting process for 52 weeks in 2018. Results A total of 32,864 reports were expected in 2018 with 1 report sent weekly from each of the 632 districts of 29 states. The benchmark for timely reports is 80% and completeness of reports is 90% as indicated in the Integrated Disease Surveillance and Response (IDSR) Technical Guidelines. Average completeness was 90% with 97% noted in February and 57% in November. An average of 93% of reports were sent in a timely manner with timeliness of 89% observed in in June and July and 96% observed in January, February, and December. All 29 states reported in a timely manner and 2 states sent in complete reports consistently for 52 weeks. This system provided real-time alerts for priority diseases that were above established thresholds highlighting the start of various outbreaks reported in the year. Conclusions During the year, there was a marked improvement in disease surveillance and notification despite periods of low completeness of reports observed. Instituting into mobile systems, processing for feedback, and improvement will further support the system among healthcare workers. Leveraging on the ease of how mobile phones have become part of everyday human life, disease surveillance methods can be enhanced and used on mobile phones

Amount raised in 2017 Financial donation 628,111.61 USD Other donations 117,601.73 USD March 2018 Financial donation 109,844.00 USD Background and context: Qatar Cancer Society Marketing Department work hand in hand with the society when it comes to fundraising. Aim: Our aim is to bring cancer awareness into the Qatar community as well as provide cancer patients and the organization with the needed fund to either cover cancer cases who needs financial support inside Qatar. And to financial support the organization to continue its awareness activities. Strategy/Tactics: Our campaigns are based on the World Health Organization calendar, where every month we have a marketing awareness campaign for a type of cancer as per the below: January: cervical health awareness July: skin cancer awareness February: World Cancer Day (February 4) August: blood cancer March: colorectal cancer awareness September: childhood cancer awareness April: thyroid cancer awareness October: breast cancer awareness May: no tobacco and cancer November: prostate cancer June: cancer survivors December: cancer awareness We mainly use these tactics to promote each campaign: e-mail marketing, direct marketing, engaging events, social media campaign, cinema advertising, TV ads, SMS marketing, partnerships, sponsorships, and cancer patients visit. Program process: Costs and returns 2017 Marketing costs 98,096.46 USD Agreements: 18 Financial donation 628,111.61 USD Other donations 117,601.73 USD What was learned: In Qatar donation was limited to boxes only for a long time. Now marketing has proved that creative messages and inbound marketing can encourage people to donate and not only donate, it happens in a real time and remotely by donating via a link, SMS or bank transfer. Each and every sponsor support as part of their Social Corporate Responsibility which is a win-win situation for both the sponsor and the nonprofit organization. Social marketing works the same way as marketing, it is a systematic and planned process. However, the aim is to either change/enhance a behavior or to spread awareness. And for cancer, we work hardly to spread awareness and to tell people the importance of donation, early detection and how to live if you or one of your beloved one has the cause. Donation shouldn't be limited to cover cancer cases, it should also consider the importance of spreading awareness. As you can see in the statistics above, we were able to raise a fund of a huge amount this year comparing it to the previous year, and the only reason was social marketing.

Abstract:
SNI 1726:2012 states that surface spectral accelerations SMS (0.2 second) and SM1 (1 second) can be calculated by multiplying site factors Fa (0.2 second) and Fv (1 second) with spectral accelerations SS (0.2 second) dan S1 (1 second). All site factors used by SNI 1726:2012 are adopted from ASCE/SEI 7-10. In 2013 Stewart and Seyhan proposed new and different site factors compared to ASCE/SEI 7-10. These site factors are then used for developing ASCE/SEI 7-16 with minor improvement for site class SE (soft soil). ASCE/SEI 7-16 states that the site factors for site class SE with SS greater than 1g or S1 greater than 0.2g, shall be calculated using Site Specific Analysis (SSA). The SSA method used for calculating site factor is difficult for ASCE/SEI 7-16 to be implemented in Indonesia. This paper describes the result of SMS and SM1 study at five cities (Jakarta, Bandung, Semarang, Yogyakarta and Surabaya) for site class SC, SD and SE using site factors proposed by Stewart and Seyhan and site factor SNI 1726:2012. The SMS and SM1 at five cities calculated using site factors proposed by Stewart and Seyhan are ±15% differences compared to SMS and SM1 calculated usingSNI 1726:2012 site factors.
