Abstract:
This assessment refers to the ecological footprint which is a way to measure the impacts of human activities on Earth. It basically calculates the demand and consumption that measures the needs of a society, as well as the waste and greenhouse gases that generates daily in productive sea and fertile land areas. Moreover, it measures all the natural resources needed to support the material needs of a population or person through the technology, lifestyle and habits of each country. Subsequently we are going to examine the advantages and disadvantages of the phenomenon that human activities provoke and the ways to eliminate the caused problem. The world-average ecological footprint in 2013 was 2.8 global hectares per person and the average per country ranges from over 10 to under 1 global hectares per person. There is also a high variation within countries, based on individual lifestyle and economic possibilities that we also examine. Summarizing all those effects we are going to analyze open international data as far as the metabolism of the ecological footprint concerns in our word but especially in our country to form prospects for our planet the principles of life cycle assessments with the aid of statistics and charts.

Abstract:
Human needs have their own hierarchy and are significantly dependent on the lifestyle of the individual. They are also culturally conditioned. The satisfaction of one’s needs determines the level of human existence and location of a person in social structures as well as individual preferences. Taking care of the body, in our world, can be understood in two ways. On the one hand it is a socially postulated custom encouraging to participate in a physical culture and on the other hand it is an act of individual choice. The latter marks the attitude towards physical affection as a need. Body kindness must be taught by showing its value. This is to be done, among others, by physical education as an organised pedagogical process.

For most of us languages aren't all that easy to use, or learn – whether we have been born into one or several languages, or have to learn one or more ‘alien’ languages, with alien writing systems. This may just be part of the general hurly-burly of life, and is certainly the usual way of things in, say, India, Nigeria and the Philippines, or it may happen in the comparative calm of classroom and library (nowadays widely regarded as the ‘proper’ way to learn languages, even if it is not always the most effective). The first of these is, as it were, the ‘marketplace’ tradition (learning as you go), the second the ‘monastery’ tradition (classrooms, timetables, exams, and accreditation).

Well-being in symbols of this art, Chinese paper-cutting, comes from ornamental figures, and they, in turn, reflect national mythological and religious ideas, life style and reality. It is a universal language of national mentality. Ancient Chinese with special attitude created paper compositions, because they believedthat it is an amulet. That’s why their semantics is so different and deep to take the paper-cutting works, also famous as “paper-lace” as national pride, which continue its development nowadays. All this allows claiming that this unique type of folk art, continuing the active development in various forms in the modern world, became recognizable "logo" of China.

Abstract:
Nowadays, death, illness, and suffering are experienced as danger: a threat to one’s own physical, psychological and social identity. And what accompanies all these, particularly paralizing from a spiritual perspective, is fear; the dread that all is lost, that things cannot be controlled by means of medicine, only to reach the greatest angst: the fear of death. And, in this respect, we can say that pain, suffering and the fear of death make up the anthropological foundation of the most profound religious concept of life, in the sense that these realities show man his limitations, his finite build, that of a creature, and, consequently, determine him look beyond his limitations. The fear of death brought about angst, anxiety, passion, hatred, and despair in man’s life. His need to escape death made him look for even more material elements to render him oblivious to it. The solution against despair is God: faith vanquishes despair because, by faith, man acknowledges his dependence on God, but turning within himself, at the same time.

Brooke, J. H. "‘Wise men nowadays think otherwise’: John Ray, natural theology and the meanings of anthropocentrism." Notes and Records of the Royal Society of London 54, no. 2 (May 22, 2000): 199–213. http://dx.doi.org/10.1098/rsnr.2000.0107.

Abstract:
The object of this paper is to re–examine the extent to which anthropocentric readings of nature were dislodged as a consequence of developments in 17th–century natural philosophy. The natural theology in Ray's Wisdom of God (1691) provides access to the issues because Ray was explicitly critical of those who imagined that everything had been made for man alone. The paper begins by identifying familiar features of the ‘scientific revolution’ that contributed most to a decentring of the human self: the Copernican innovation, telescopic discoveries, speculations concerning a plurality of worlds, the Cartesian ban on the investigation of final causes and the collapse of microcosm/macrocosm analogies. There were, however, counter currents to these centrifugal tendencies, notably in Robert Boyle's response to Descartes's strictures. In the main section of the paper, I therefore identify the various ways in which an anthropocentricity was not only preserved but re–emphasized in the post–Copernican Universe. A reconfiguration of human centrality was achieved through cosmology, epistemology and anthropomorphic conceptions of divine activity. As Ray's writing indicates, there were also common qualifications to the mechanization of nature. An elevation rather than relegation of the human spirit was also evident in claims to imitate the creative activities of the deity and in the aesthetic appreciation of the Creator's works. The presence in the world of so many resources for human use also fed anthropocentric sentiments. Boyle restored anthropocentric perspectives through an appeal to scripture and Ray through the suggestion that objects which might appear to have no human use now would have their uses revealed in the future. While Ray did indeed repudiate the proposition that everything was made for man alone, he remained convinced that everything had some human use. The paper concludes with a Darwinian perspective from which Ray's natural theology was incurably anthropocentric, even if it was not in every respect as arrogant as Darwin deemed natural theology to be.

Abstract:
Nowadays, the world scene is changing at a fast pace. The increase of competition, technological developments, financial downturns, market expansion, legal and political instabilities are forcing the international business environment to transformational changes. Researchers agree that most transformation efforts produce only middle level results. Changes can be stimulating in an organization, but are often met with negative emotions such as stress and fear which result in resistance and in organizational crisis. Literature review reveals that crisis will always accompany changes. The aims of this study are to bridge leadership effectiveness and leader’s competencies in the context of leading change and crisis under the optimal profile of transformational leadership. The study is based on a critical literature review following a qualitative research approach of reviewing secondary data and sources. The main conclusion of this study is that transformational changes can be successful with the proper guidance and support of the leaders. Transformational leadership is considered critical during times of change because of the importance leaders to encourage and implement changes but also to encourage, engage and motivate their followers to accept changes.

The question that which of the accounts of a religion is close to arrange social correlations is of importance nowadays. Part of this importance is due to the fact that religion still has a great role in ordinary life of people and societies. Although the religion has been a main factor in many kinds of social conflicts and among religions, Islam is not the exception, the author believes that articulating a spiritual account of Islam and its sacred book, i.e. the Qur’ān can properly help approach a good way of life in which all human beings acknowledge their stance as human beings and, in this way, promote rationality and peace. The article, basing itself on the Qur’ān, proposes a model for a spiritual Muslim person who can live in consistency with other religious people and never breaches human rights because of the observance of rationality.

Abstract:
Abstract All societies of our civilization are growing old, people live longer and longer and there are more and more old people. It results in the fact that problems of old people, either individual or of social aspects, are getting one of the crucial tasks for the society nowadays. In fact, there are no grounds to envy or to feel compassion for old people. The old man is a fully normal man, only the old one. We are all growing old…whether we want it or not – and we can only wonder, how it will be, when we get old… Without any doubt, it is important to live as long as possible, but not less important is the quality of life, physical and mental condition, good mood and the most of all – the good health. The old age, may not be a flow of happiness, but it of course has its good prospects and can remain positive. The aim of that study is the attempt to show the status of a man in the process of ageing and all aspects connected with this process. The study should allow us not only to perceive the positive aspects of old age, but also to acquaint ourselves with the mechanism of growing old and show us how to reduce the instinctive fear of growing old and what to do to make this period of our lives bearable and stately. What does it mean to grow old? How does it feel like to be old? How have people tried to prevent the process of ageing in different cultures in the past centuries? How it is being done nowadays? What are the advantages of growing old? The attempt to find the answers for the above mentioned questions is the aim of that study. Its keynote is paradoxically quite optimistic and helps us to stay calm in the face of this inevitable fate we all are going to meet with.

AbstractFigures derived from statistics show that large numbers of inhabitants of Europe have migrated all over the world in the past. Nowadays they still dominate economic and technological developments causing injustice in many countries, mainly outside Europe. As a result the economic system of the world is fundamentally unjust. Moreover the technological development supports the dominating powers at the cost of the poor and the oppressed. In the meantime a religious awakening is taking place. Unfortunately this religious renaissance tends to promote violence in many parts of the world. Therefore another religion is needed for another possible world. The second part of the article delineates the outlines of that other religion, which the main world religions seek for mutual contact and disclose the dangerous relationship between religion and power in many areas hoping to attain real conversion: choosing for the humanist core each world religion possesses.

Abstract The decreasing number of the Lithuanian residents has strong impact on the educational system: the number of pupils is decreasing, the schools are getting closed. School is considered to be the provider of educational services, so it is necessary to search, how to preserve and attract clients – pupils. The growing competition induces search for distinctiveness among the schools. According to the theory of generations of William Strauss and Neil Howe, now we have to educate representatives of generation Z, who do not like violence, restrictions, want to be distinctive and are open to the world of technologies. The teacher faces the challenge when s/he wants to convey mathematical skills to these pupils. The profile teaching followed by training based on individual curricula provided more choices for the pupils. This freedom led to the dead-end of mathematical literacy and forced to return to a compulsory national final exam of Mathematics and to change the indexes for the persons entering studies of the first cycle and integrated studies. In the article, mathematics achievements and situation in schools in Lithuania as well as the measures taken to improve mathematical literacy in the country are described.

This paper proposes a scientific discussion from a Marxian-feminist point of view as a critical response to the European “austerity policies”. Nowadays global inequalities are very relevant, particularly a proletarization process based on an increase in class struggle, growing inequalities, unsustainability and the transnational concentration of power and wealth. The neoliberal approach ignores Marx’s theory and suggests that the Marxian view fails to explain the current economic system. However, I believe this to be a (dishonest) simplification of Marx’s theory (because data is very clear). This misrepresentation has a negative effect on the overall validity and sustainability of several European policies, mainly distribution and migration policies. Consequently, some policy recommendations need to be readdressed, including from a feminist point of view.

Through reviewing the current researches done by Paolo Rossetti, Robert Kraut and so on, it is found that the gender-specific communication does exist in E-mail communication. And then reasons are explored for the existence of the phenomenon. Through analysis, it is found that male and female try to extend their different roles in real world to the virtual world. Men try to use technology to further their influence while women use it to nurture and develop close relationships.

Abstract:
Professional sports leagues today are trying to increase their income and looking for new sources for this. In the United States, most leagues in one sport are monopoly structures. Considering the National Football League in this context, it is worth noting its rather strict policy towards possible competitors at the football market. At the same time, throughout the history of American football, there have been attempts to organize competing structures that have been more or less successful. The purpose of the study was to identify the features of the formation American football organizations in North America at different times, the factors of successes and failures. Material and methods. The main material on which the study was based was data from the Internet, official websites of American football organizations and official ratings of Forbes magazine. To achieve the stated purpose, we used the following research methods: data analysis and generalization; theoretical interpretation and explanation; analysis of documentary materials. Results and discussion. The study results showed that during the formation and development of American football in the United States, except for the National Football League, six other organizations tried to create competition for it at one time or another. Among them were All-American Football Conference, American Football League, World Football League, United State Football League, Xtreme Football League, and Alliance of American Football. All these organizations generally sought to be better than National Football League through more progressive steps towards the development of football, but the conservatism of the National Football League always allowed it to remain the winner. Most of the newly formed leagues could not withstand the uncompromising financial struggle for high-class athletes, but the XFL and AAF, which was created in the 21st century, were defeated by precautionary measures during the COVID-19 pandemic and the game seasons were canceled. Conclusion. The key factors formation of organizations that sought to develop American football in the United States (except the National Football League) were: the growing popularity of this sport; a large number of athletes, who aspired to develop in this sport, but could not do it in National Football League; the emergence of enthusiasts with significant financial resources, who sought to invest in football projects and at the same time increase their own resources; technological progress, in particular in football. However, none of these organizations stayed long in the football business and lost to the National Football League. The reasons for this were: improper distribution of financial resources in the middle of the leagues; unjustified steps in the desire to be more progressive than the National Football League; the dominant authority of the National Football League; external factors (wars, epidemics / pandemics, global economic and political crises, etc.)

Nowadays there are practically no political empires in the world: they have disintegrated. In the ruins of the former communist empire of the Soviet Union, our Ukraine became independent even in 1991. Who would have thought that the Ukrainian people, who for centuries had been taunting about its unbreakable fraternal union as if from a half-Russian people, suddenly decided to stay away from this "brother". Our 350-year-old colonial existence has come to an end.

What are the future global systems developments? It remains one the biggest unknown, especially in terms of energy, as it is globally considered as both cause and solution for multiple problems of the humanity. Therefore, nowadays a number of experts are exploring driving forces, critical uncertainties and unknowns that have an influence on future energy systems development. This article aims at providing a brief investigation of existing world energy scenarios that cover the range of plausible outcomes of future global energy system development. Those are represented by International Energy Agency, World Energy Council, Organization of the Petroleum Exporting Countries, and others. The analysis covers both qualitative and quantitative indicators of the world energy system development that provide for future worldview formation. The article looks into various approaches to energy system development forecasting and scenario building employed by the abovementioned organisations, and discovers the motives for making assumptions as the means of attaining internal targets and the consequences of the distinction of individual attitude to the development trends within the expert community. The current assessment implies grouping of the most advanced of the existing energy system development models, identification their advantages and disadvantages, and shows differences in modeling approaches used in a number of specialized international organisations.

Abstract:
This paper aims at reviewing the current situation of two fundamental issues directly related to education. First, it focuses on the process of globalization and, secondly, on the problems of the global science-driven knowledge that are needed to education and society as a whole. The term globalization is neither new nor casual in the last two decades. The development of human society has brought a lot of changes in the sphere of education. Increasingly, education systems are being transformed from their past role and content. Starting from the developments, recently, they are beginning to take new roles and functions as a function of the need to be confident in a global society and economy. Starting from the developments, recently, they are beginning to take new definitions and roles in the function of need to be more competitive in a global society and economy. The process of education itself cannot be seen or imagined disconnected from the social development. They have already become determinative of each other's development and performance, at a time when the impact of globalization directly affects the quality of education. Many researchers have tried to explain the way of changing the education process is going through, by examining the key factors associated with globalization. Likewise, the problems and challenges faced by education and research as part of it, around the world, are many. This, according to researchers, is explained by the complex nature of globalization itself.

Abstract:
Gathering evidence in criminal proceedings is becoming more complicated each day. Cases are no longer merely national in nature. Nowadays most of the cases require obtaining evidence from global Internet service providers. This means that evidence from a crime may be found anywhere. The Budapest Convention addresses this issue, in Article 32, allowing the competent authorities of a State Party to seek data in another’s Party territory, in limited circumstances. The Portuguese law goes beyond those limited cases, allowing Portuguese authorities to extend searches beyond the physical and political borders of Portugal, no matter where the data may physically be stored. The drafting process of a Second Additional Protocol to the Budapest Convention is currently ongoing. It is expected that this exercise will allow State Parties to the Budapest Convention to seek an agreement on a number of issues regarding obtaining evidence from the cloud, such as loss of location, or transborder searches, or direct cooperation with providers in other jurisdictions, amongst others.

Abstract:
The goal of this article is to identify and share the best practices and innovations to enable teaching and learning to take place during times of VUCA (Volatile, Uncertain, Complex, and Ambiguous) such as the coronavirus pandemic. This will help lay the foundations for more inclusive and equitable approaches to education when the crisis subsides. The main response to school closures is to dive headlong into academic cyberspace and remote learning, creating a human-machine symbiosis. Ideally, specific contents, learning outcomes, and a set of instructions are desirable. Different media and technologies can be used to assist students to learn in different ways and achieve different outcomes, thus also individualizing learning more. Technologies can be compared along several characteristics. These characteristics form a basis for analyzing new technologies, to see where they fit within the existing environment, and to evaluate their potential benefits and limitations. Nowadays, technologies have a tendency to become more ‘communicative’ and ‘media rich’, thus offering educators and students powerful tools to attain desired learning outcomes.

First is the heritage of astronomy, generally associated with modern European science and its development through the construction of aseries of famous observatories with large fixedinstruments, all along lgth - 20th centuries. Second is the successful implementation of the World Heritage convention from around 50 years, with its famous List of heritage sites, monuments, ancient cities and landscapes. The article shows the relatively limited number, but already notable, of places nowadays registered on the World Heritage List or even sometime places aiming to be nominated for next years. Additional questions raise, asked by a partnership between Astronomy and World Heritage List; e.g.: the existing astronomical heritage from ancient civilizaions or indigenous societies; astronomy as associated value of broader nominations including classical heritage as palaces, monuments, historical cities and etc. In conclusion, we shortly examine the perspectives of the joint field of Astronomy and World Heritage.

Abstract:
In Liepaja 1960 building of residential buildings started, but in 1967 the Master Plan was confirmed: eastwards of industrial zone the residential area “Green Grove” (Latvian: Zaļā Birze) was envisaged, where architect Irēna Rubauska developed a three-stage detailed planning (1973) of five housing estates with multi-storey residential buildings. After Latvia Republic restoration a controversial period of ownership started: without analysis transformations were implemented in urban environment, promoting fragmentation of planning. Research issue – Soviet time heritage in Liepaja has not been studied sufficiently. Architectonically spatial of the residential area “Green Grove” composition has not been implemented, and housing estate’s further development is not resolved nowadays. Research novelty – urban planner Rubauska’s creative investment in urban development has been acknowledged. Research goal – the residential area “Green Grove” spatial structural analysis. Principal methods applied-planning and construction observation in nature, analysis of archive and cartographic materials, comparative method for conclusions. Summary of research outcomes: Rubauska’s intention of the residential area “Green Grove” without implementation, architectonically spatial composition is not solved any longer; nowadays topographical survey is not applied for Liepaja’s territorial zoning, watercourses are not marked, therefore schematic areas and approximate shapes of fortress canal do not provide impression of qualitative architectonically spatial formation.

Abstract:
Our world has gone through myriad forms of administrative and economic ideological eras, some of which helped positively and others contributed regressively. Recently, the rise of authoritarian populism as an alternative path to mainstream democracy stems from the failure of inclusiveness in the political and economic institutions especially in the rural world. Due to extractive capitalism, nowadays, rural areas are characterized by persistent poverty, deep inequalities, marginalization and exclusion, fractured identities and loss of self-esteem, which in turn engenders a regressive politics dubbed 'authoritarian populism'. It endangers our future unless we confront it and it has gained momentum by winning national elections in some countries. Alternatively, inclusive growth that would successfully share benefits to the rural people via inclusive political and economic institutions could be able to transform the rural poor. Endorsing and supporting this option with emancipatory rural politics, therefore, saves globalization from a looming collapse and ultimately culminates the world to a new level of civilization.
