Abstract:
A laboratory incubation study to determine the rate of nutrient supply by poultry manure (0, 5 and 10 t ha<sup>-1</sup>), cocoa pod ash (0, 5 and 10 t ha<sup>-1</sup>), NPK 20:10:10 fertilizer (0 and 150 kg ha<sup>-1</sup>) and their combinations on soil properties was conducted at Igunshin in the rainforest zone of Southwest Nigeria. The 10 treatments were arranged in completely randomized design with nine replications. The soil was slightly acidic, low in OM, N, P and K. The incubation study showed that the soils treated with poultry manure (P) rates, cocoa pod ash(C) rates and their combinations significantly (p&lt;0.05) increased soil pH over the control and NPK 20:10:10 fertilizer (F). When poultry manure was combined with NPK 20: 10:10 fertilizer, the pH of the soil decreased as the incubation period progressed while the pH increased with combined cocoa pod ash and the mineral fertilizer at 90 days of incubation. The rate of decrease in soil pH was more pronounced in the soils treated with NPK fertilizer alone. Total OC, total N, exchangeable K and Mg significantly (p&lt;0.05) increased as the period of incubation increased in all the treatments compared with control. Cocoa pod ash rates and cocoa pod ash combined with NPK fertilizer increased exchangeable Ca as the period of incubation increased while poultry manure rates and its combinations with NPK fertilizer decreased at 90 days of incubation. Combined poultry manure and NPK fertilizer had the highest N and P while combined cocoa pod ash recorded the highest Ca, K and Mg. Combination of poultry manure with reduced level of mineral fertilizer or cocoa pod ash had positive effect on the acid soil and increased the rate of nutrient mineralization than the sole application of poultry manure or cocoa pod ash.

Abstract:
The possibility of formulating nitrogen, phosphorus and potassium (NPK) biofertilizer from ashes of waste organic materials such as chicken feathers, bone and banana peels is investigated in this study by first subjecting the agricultural waste to 80-250 heat in a muffle furnace to produce ash. Kjeldatherm block digestion unit, UV spectrophotometer, and flame photometers, respectively helped in measuring the concentrations of N, P and K inherent in the fertilizer precursors as well as in 5 formulated blends (i.e., A, B, C, D &amp; E). It was discovered that NPK in the single substrate and blends favorably compared with standard NPK 20:10:10 chemical fertilizer to some extent. Among single material fertilizer sources, feather ash with 0.179:1:0.134 NPK and bone ash with 0.009:1:0.021 NPK had the closest nutrient content with the standard, showing potential promise. On the other hand, Blend E is the same as the standard, followed by Blend A, B, D and C, which are hierarchically close in elemental composition to the standard. The choice of these biofertilizers is dependent on their nutrient compositions, the type of crops to be grown, and the soil mineral requirements. Most importantly, different NPK ratio organic fertilizers produced in this study can competitively be produced in a large scale to address huge costs associated with the NPK 20:10:10 standard commercial fertilizer. Blend E (NPK 20:10:10) can be formulated locally by farmers in rural areas easily using this particular agricultural residue or a host of other confirmed farm wastes.

Abstract:
To determine the effectiveness of NPK compound (10-30-20) fertilizer to maize growth and yield, a study was conducted on vertisol soil of the rainfed rice field in Gambir Kuning village, Kraton District Pasuruan Regency, from September 2020 until February 2021. The study was arranged in randomized block design with four replications. As the treatment i.e., A. control (without inorganic fertilizer), B. standard/local recommendation (NPK 15-15-15) 300 kg, C. NPK (10-30-20) 100 kg, D. NPK (10-30-20) 200 kg, E. NPK (10-30-20) 300 kg, F. NPK (10-30-20) 400 kg, G. NPK (10-30-20) 500 kg ha-1. Except for control, all treatments were fertilized with 200 kg Urea and 100 kg ZA. P27 hybrid maize variety was used as an indicator plant. The results showed that the applications of NPK compound ((10-30-20) were increasing plant growth and yield effectively. The optimum dosage of NPK (10-30-20) was 499.55 kg ha-1. Treatment F produced the highest yield (6.83 tons ha-1) and was significantly different from the control (4.13 tons ha-1) and higher than the standard (6.24 tons ha-1). This treatment also gave the highest RAE value (127,55).

Field and laboratory experiments were conducted to evaluate the effects of poultry manure and NPK (20:10:10) fertilizer on soil chemical properties and yield of Amaranthus species. The treatments were: T1-Control (no fertilizer), T2-NPK 20:10:10 (200kg/ha), T3-Poultry manure (5 tons/ha), T4-NPK 20:10:10 (100kg/ha) + Poultry manure (2.5 tons/ha), T5-NPK 20:10:10 (100kg/ha)+ Poultry manure (5 tons/ha), T6-NPK 20:10:10 (200kg/ha)+ Poultry manure (5 tons/ha. The experiments were laid out in a randomized complete block design (RCBD). The soil was strongly acidic, having a pH of 5.1 and low in % total Nitrogen (0.10), % organic carbon (1.13) and the exchangeable bases. From the study, the poultry manure 5t/ha + NPK (20:10:10) 100kg/ha gave the best yield of Amaranthus species, followed by poultry manure 5t/ha + NPK (20:10:10) 200kg/ha which gave an increase in soil chemical properties. It is recommended that the combination of poultry manure 5t/ha + NPK (20:10:10) 100kg/ha fertilizer could be used for profitable Amaranthus production in the study area.

Abstract:
An essential cultural technique for ensuring correct development and maximizing output is administering fertilizer sources for the crops. The experiment was carried out from February 2022 to May 2022 at Khadbari-3, Maruwa, Sankhuwasabha, to determine the efficacy of various dosages of NPK on the growth performance of the rice bean variety (Sunehri). The trial used a Randomized Complete Block Design (RCBD) with seven treatments replicated three times. The treatments were listed and named as T1 (0:0:0 kg NPK/ha); T2 (20:30:10 kg NPK/ha) (Recommended dose); T3 (10:20:15 kg NPK/ha); T4 (40:80:40 kg NPK/ha); T5 (20:20:20 kg NPK/ha); T6 (80:100:60 kg NPK/ha); and T7 (20:0:30 kg NPK/ha), respectively. The experimental results revealed that the highest yield/plant (39g) was obtained from the plot treated with T4 (40:80:40 kg NPK/ha), followed by 24.93 g and 24.13 g from the plot receiving T2 (20:30:10 kg NPK/ha) and T6 (80:100:60 kg NPK/ha), respectively. The lowest yield of 14.07 g was obtained from the control plot, followed by 15.27 g and 21.20 g from the plot receiving T7 (20:0:30 kg NPK/ha) and T3 (10:20:15 kg NPK/ha), respectively. Vegetative parameters such as plant height, branch numbers, and leaves numbers were recorded as a maximum of 19.72 cm, 6.88, and 18.97 in plots treated with T5 (20:20:20 kg NPK/ha), T7 (20:0:30 kg NPK/ha), and T1 (0:0:0 kg NPK/ha), consecutively, and corresponding minimum values were found 18.12 cm, 5.36 and 15.63 in T3 (10:20:15 kg NPK/ha), T1 (0:0:0 kg NPK/ha), and T7 (20:0:30 kg NPK/ha), respectively. Conclusively, the study's findings suggest that the rice bean crop responds to fertilizers and applying T4 (40:80:40 kg NPK/ha) enhances crop production considerably.

Abstract:
Mungbean (Vigna radiata) has gained increasing significance as a crucial grain legume in Nepal’s tropical and sub-tropical regions due to its short growth cycle and soil fertility enhancement properties. This research was conducted at Agronomy farm of Lamjung campus, to assess how mungbean performs under varying row spacing and Npk fertilizer levels. The study employed two-factorial Randomized Complete Block Design with three row spacing levels (20 cm, 25 cm, and 30 cm) and three NPK fertilizer doses (10:10:10, 20:20:20, and 30:30:30 kg NPK/ha) as treatments. The investigation explored phenological and yield attributing parameters. Interestingly, the outcomes showed that row spacing had negligible impact on root growth attributes, including root length and nodule formation. However, root nodule number increased with higher NPK fertilizer levels, particularly notable with the application of (30:30:30) kg NPK/ha, resulting in the highest nodules per plant (140.40), while the lowest nodules (91.35) were observed with (10:10:10) kg NPK/ha. Vital traits like plant height, branch and leaf counts, pod set, pod length, and seed weight were unresponsive to both NPK doses and row spacing levels. In contrast, grain yield exhibited a substantial increase with NPK fertilizer application, with the highest yield (1263.55 kg/ha) achieved with (30:30:30) kg NPK/ha and the lowest (929.27 kg/ha) with (10:10:10) kg NPK/ha. Therefore, this study shows strong correlations, especially between root nodules and grain yield, emphasized key links. NPK doses impacted vital root nodules for nitrogen fixation and suggests dense planting of Pratikshya mung beans with increased NPK fertilizer.

This diploma thesis is analysing the conditions of leadership development for potential leaders in Hilti spol.s r.o.. In this intention the theory of leadership is elaborated, further existing processes inside the company are described and finally data derived from Hilti internal research are evaluated. Information is supplemented by the findings derived from an e-questionnaire created for the purpose of clarifying uncertainties from the previous research data. To identify the objectives the thesis aligns existing processes with the theory of leadership and with the empirical researches. Exploiting these data within the company it is possible to identify strengths and weaknesses of leadership development processes for young leaders as well as propose areas which would be capable of implementing new trends with focus on higher effectiveness of these processes.

Abstract:
This work focuses on a photographic archive of a czech sculptor Stanislav Sucharda (1866-1916). Stanislav Sucharda was one of the leaders of modern Czech sculpture. The aim of the work is to investigate and analyze a part of the private fund related to photographic reproductions of Sucharda's sculptures and work. The collection shows a wide range of photographic techniques and materials. Counting both glass negatives and plastic negatives, photographic positive techniques including albumen prints, colloid prints and various types of silver-gelatin prints. On negatives and positives there are secondary interventions. There are framing, varnish, retouching or photocollages. The photo collection is not classified according to any code, chronological or thematic distribution is missing. The aim will be trying to find links between sculpture models and photographs. Determining the purpose for which the photographs were taken should create a mosaic of Stanislav Sucharda's work with photographs. I would like to compare this archive with archives in art institutions, which have photographs associated with Stanislav Sucharda in their funds. On the basis of the research, the thesis will be confirmed or refuted that this part of the private-owned photographical collection of the Stanislav Sucharda's Foundation was used by the sculptor purely for his creative activities and were not the representations of his work. Consequently, the key role of photographing Sucharda's sculpture and the confirmation of whether Stanislav Sucharda himself photographed will be the key outline. In exploring the possibilities of Stanislav Sucharda's work and his co-operation with photographs, I will use the approach of comparison with Auguste Rodin's photographic collection, who was Sucharda's friend.

This thesis discusses the similarities in coming-out depictions in contemporary European cinema focusing on teenage and coming-of-age queer male characters. While based on understanding the coming out as a sociological phenomenon with strereotypical development, it allows for deviations both in reality and in film. The thesis further aims to identify common elements in films with coming-out narratives: repetitive narrative techniques, themes, characters and motives. Using the analyses of three films, the thesis also examines the importance of coming-out stories in broader film narrative.

Timber Tower: 10 20 30 offers a conceptual structural system for tall wooden buildings. The thesis has been a noumenal design process into the subject of timber towers, where the conceptual system is designed to work in accordance with engineering concepts for tall buildings. The system uses mass timber as the primary structural material supported by embedded steel plates. The introduced system plays to the strength and weaknesses of both corresponding materials. Mass timber is used as the primary material that is designed to take care of the dead &amp; live loads, while steel is used as a secondary material to give additional support to the vertical loads. The structural system is interpolated to three different height categories; 10, 20 &amp; 30. The timber &amp; steel system is designed to be prefabricated in parts and assembled on site. Other considerations also addressed in the thesis has been fire-, weather- and soundproofing of the structure.

Abstract:
This thesis aims to implement methods for recording EEG data obtained with the neural activity sensor OpenBCI Ultracortex IV headset. It also describes neurofeedback, methods of obtaining data from the motor cortex for further analysis and takes a look at the machine learning algorithms best suited for the presented problem. Multiple training and testing datasets are created, as well as a tool for recording the brain activity of a headset-wearing test subject, which is being visually presented with cognitive challenges on the screen in front of him. A neurofeedback demo app has been developed, presented and later used for calibration of new test subjects. Next part is data analysis, which aims to discriminate the left and right hand movement intention signatures in the brain motor cortex. Multiple classification methods are used and their utility reviewed.

The thesis deals with the qualitative decline of the Czech serial production after the revolution, namely changes in the author-producer relationships, the impact of the introduction of the commercial broadcasters into the market and an internal development of the Public television. The thesis will also look at the changes in developement and production of tv series in the Czech republic. The thesis will be looking for the roots and consequences of this qualitative decline and will compare it with the socialist era as well as the profesional developement of the foreign tv series. Through the analysis of production processes, the text seeks to identify fundamental principles affecting the quality of television production and outline possible systemic changes to strengthen the potential for future domestic as well as foreign succsess of Czech tv production.

Problemen har uppstått då karakteristiken i elnätet ändrats i samband med ombyggnationer. För att lösa problemen simulerades en modell av elnätet i PowerTools för att ta reda på kortslutningsströmmarna och nya selektivkurvor ritades efter dessa. Rekommendationer för högspänningssäkringar i nätstationer har också gjorts baserat på de nya kortslutningsströmmarna.

AbstractCoal is a rock composed of organic compounds (C, H, and O), inorganic or mineral impurities, and ash content. Burning coal produces waste in fly ash and bottom ash (FABA). FABA that accumulates for a long time can cause environmental problems, such as pollution. Petrokimia Gresik Ltd. Produces FABA in large quantities, so it must be managed by external parties who have a permit to manage it. With the regulatory changes, FABA can be utilized for various products. This study aims to utilize FABA as a filler substitute for raw materials for NPK fertilizer and find the right proportion so that utilization can be carried out optimally. This study applied the Plan-Do-Check-Act (PDAC) method to achieve continuous improvement. The results show that the most optimal FABA ratio is 3:1 with the addition of ZA raw materials with a specific ratio. After analyzing the test product on NPK 15-10-12 plus fertilizer, it is found that the NPK 15-10-12 plus fertilizer using FABA as a filler complies with SNI 2083:2012 about NPK fertilizer. The effectiveness test results on paddy plants at the Experimental Garden of Petrokimia Gresik Ltd. Show that FABA as a fertilizer filler does not affect the effectiveness of NPK fertilizer. This study shows that FABA can be used as a filler substitute for raw materials for NPK fertilizer.

1453 yılında İstanbul’un fethi ile İstanbul ve Çanakkale Boğazları Türk hâkimiyetine girdi. Bu tarihten itibaren, Marmara Denizi aracılığıyla Karadeniz’i Akdeniz’e bağlayan bu deniz yoluna “Türk Boğazları” adı verildi. Boğazlar, yüzyıllar boyunca Türk hâkimiyeti döneminde stratejik önemini korudu. Osmanlı Devleti’nin Birinci Dünya Savaşı’ndan yenik ayrılması sonrasında imzalanan Mondros Mütarekesi ile İtilaf Devletleri İstanbul ile birlikte Boğazları fiilen işgal etti. 10 Ağustos 1920 tarihinde imzalanan Sevr Barış Antlaşması’yla da Boğazlardan tüm devletlerin geçişinin serbest olması karara bağlandı. Nitekim Mustafa Kemal Paşa önderliğinde başlayan bağımsızlık mücadelesinin başarıya ulaşması, Lozan’da yapılacak barış görüşmelerine giden yolu açmış oldu. Ancak 24 Temmuz 1923’te imzalanan Lozan Barış Antlaşması maddeleri gereğince, Boğazlarda tam anlamıyla Türk hâkimiyeti sağlanamadı ve Boğazların uluslararası bir komisyon tarafından kontrol edilmesi kararı alındı. 1930’lu yıllara gelindiğinde Avrupa’da var olan barış ve huzur ortamı yerini güvensiz bir dış politikaya bıraktı. Türkiye’nin bu dönemdeki dış politika hedefi, barışın devamlılığını sağlamak üzerine kuruldu. Zira Almanya ve İtalya gibi revizyonist devletlerin savaş yanlısı tutumu, Türkiye’nin Boğazlar üzerinde tam hâkimiyet sağlamak amacıyla girişimlerde bulunmasına neden oldu. İngiltere’nin de desteğini alan Türkiye, uluslararası buhranlı süreci iyi değerlendirerek 20 Temmuz 1936’da imzalanan Montrö Boğazlar Sözleşmesi ile Boğazlarda yeniden egemen güç oldu ve Boğazlarda tam hâkimiyet sağladı. Montrö’nün imzalanması, Almanya ve İtalya gibi dönemin diğer revizyonist bir devleti olan Macaristan tarafından yakından takip edildi. Macaristan her ne kadar Karadeniz’e kıyısı olan bir devlet konumunda olmasa da Montrö’nün imzalanmasına giden yolu, kendi revizyon taleplerine örnek teşkil edebileceği gerekçesiyle önemli görmüştür. Türkiye’de görev yapan Macar elçilerinin raporlarında Montrö’nün imzalanması sürecinden sıklıkla bahsetmesi bunu destekler niteliktedir. Macar basını da konuya dair çok sayıda haber yaparak meselesinin çözüm süresi hakkında Macar kamuoyunu bilgilendirmiştir.

Abstract:
Cumhuriyet kazanımlarının temelini oluşturan eğitim, her alanda gerçekleştirilen devrimlerin uygulanmasında ve içselleştirilmesinde en önemli rolü oynamıştır. Cumhuriyet’ in eğitim politikaları yalnızca devlet kademesinde gerçekleşen devrimleri değil, yurttaşların çağdaşlaşmaya yönelik dönüşümünü sağlamakta da etkili olmuştur. Türkiye Cumhuriyeti’ne duyulan aidiyetin temelini aileye dayandıran, aile içerisinde kadının rolünü merkeze çeken bir anlayış ile hareket edilmiştir. Cumhuriyet’ in ilk yıllarında ev içi eğitim kapsamında değerlendirilen mutfak eğitimleri, öncelikle bu bağlamda kızlara verilmiştir. Turizm kavramının ülkeye girişi ile kapsamı genişletilerek kızlara ve erkeklere açık eğitim kurumları ortaya çıkmaya başlamıştır. Gastronomi, multidisipliner yapısı sayesinde zaman içerisinde ana bilim dalı olarak değerlendirilerek, aşçılık ile ön lisans düzeyine taşınırken, 2003 yılında ilk gastronomi lisans bölümü açılmıştır. Türk mutfak kültürünün korunması ve geliştirilmesi bakımından önemli olan gastronomi eğitiminin, batı etkisinden arındırılmış hali ile Türk mutfak kültürü ortaya çıkarılmalı, kayıt altına almalı ve dünya çapında tanıtılması gerekmektedir. Cumhuriyetin 100. yılında lisans düzeyinde Gastronomi eğitiminin 20. yılını geride bırakırken, öncelenmesi gereken en önemli konunun müfredat, bilinç, vizyon gibi temeller ile güçlendirilmesi gerekliliği görülmüştür. Bu kapsamda gastronomi eğitimi veren akademisyenler ile yapılan görüşmeler ve literatürün taranması neticesinde, Türk mutfak kültürünün müfredatlarda daha geniş yer bulması gerektiği ve akademik çalışmalar ile desteklenen yeniliklerin hayata geçirilmesi gereği tespit edilmiştir.

Bir yandan Türkler ve Macarlar arasındaki temasların, tarihin derinliklerine kadar uzanmış olması, öte yandan 20. yüzyılın tarihine damgasını vuran Mustafa Kemal Atatürk'ün şahsiyeti, Türk halkının Anadolu’da verdiği Milli Mücadele, sonraları ise genç Türk Cumhuriyeti'nin ilk başarıları Macar halkı tarafından hep ilgi ve sempati ile takip edilmiştir. Sevr ile paralel olarak yapılan Trianon Antlaşması ile topraklarının üçte ikisini kaybeden Macarlar, Türklerin ölüm kalım savaşını, bu savaşın haklılığını basın yayın yoluyla izleyebilmiştir. Bu çalışmada milletimizin manevi desteğini dönemin başlıca gazetelerine dayanarak örneklemeye çalışacağız. Başlarken, İkinci Dünya Savaşı yıllarında sesleri yükselen Macar Turancılarını temsilen, Jenő Cholnoky'yi dinleyelim. Uzun yüzyıllar boyunca medya eşittir gazete iken, Türkiye Cumhuriyeti’nin ilk zamanları ile aynı dönemde, 1 Aralık 1925'te Macar Radyosu faaliyete başladı ve kısa zaman içinde ülke halkının önemli haber kaynağı haline geldi. Arşiv derken sadece raflarda sıralanan dosyaları düşünmemeliyiz. Radyoya özgü arşivimizde yayınlarla ilgili yazılı materyallerin yanı sıra büyük sayıda ses kayıt bantları da bulunmaktadır. Zengin müzik koleksiyonunun yanı sıra başkalarının kolay kolay ziyaret edemediği, uzun yıllar boyunca çalıştığım arşivde bulunan sözlü bantlarda, Mustafa Kemal Atatürk ile ilgili olarak neler olduğuna bir bakalım: Arşivimizin gururla sakladığı iki parçası, Atatürk'ün 1933’te Türkiye Cumhuriyeti’nin 10. yıldönümünü selamlayan sözleri ile Türkiye Büyük Millet Meclisi’nin 5.oturumunu açan konuşmasıdır. Radyomuzun Macarca yayınlarının yanı sıra Budapeşte Radyosu Türkçe Yayınları kırk yıl boyunca meraklıların hizmetindeydi. Bu arada örneğin Atatürk hakkında kitap yazan tarihçi László Katus, Uluslararası Atatürk Yılında mikrofonumuza konuk oldu. Ayrıca Budapeşte Üniversitesi ELTE'de Türkoloji Kürsüsünün kuruluşunun 100. yıldönümü vesilesiyle Türk Tarih Kurumu Başkanı Şevket Aziz Kansu’nun ses bandı olmasa bile konuşmasının metni elimizdedir. Emeğimin geçtiği iki programın bandı ise arşivimizde mevcuttur. Biri Macar dinleyicilerimize, 1988 Cumhuriyet bayramı için Ceyhun Atuf Kansu'nun Halk Önderi Atatürk başlıklı kitabına dayanarak Macarca hazırlanmış bir anma programıydı; diğeri ise Türkçe yayınlar için yapıldı: Bizzat Atatürk'ün talimatı üzerine Ankara Üniversitesi Hungaroloji Kürsüsünü kuran profesör László Rásonyi elli yıl önceki anılarını anlattı.

Osmanlı Devleti’nde 20. yüzyıl başlarında kendinden söz ettiren devlet adamları arasında İbrahim Hakkı Paşa da yer alır. Mekteb-i Mülkiyeyi aliyyü’l-âlâ derecesiyle bitirmiş ve 1882 yılında mezun olan Hakkı Paşa önce Hariciye Tahrîrat Kalemine bir yıl sonra ise Mâbeyin mütercimliğine (Fransızca) tayin edilmiştir. Bu görev uhdesinde bırakılmak kaydıyla bir süre sonra Bâb-ı âlî hukuk müşavirliği görevini de yürütmeye başlamıştır. Hukuk müşavirliği görevi, İbrahim Hakkı’nın devletin merkez teşkilatında tanınmaya başlamasının ilk adımı olmuştur. Hukuki ihtilaflar karşısında ortaya koyduğu isabetli tahlil ve yaklaşımlar onun tanınmasını ve kendisine itibar edilmesini sağlamış olup devletin merkez teşkilatında Padişah ve Sadrazamın dikkatini çekmeye başlamıştır. İlmî yönü özellikle de hukukçu tarafı ile oldukça kuvvetli olan İbrahim Hakkı Paşa’nın kaleme aldığı Hukûk-ı İdare adlı eser Türkiye’de alanında ilk idare hukuku kitabıdır. Ancak ilmi hayatta gösterdiği üstün performansı, devlet adamlığında gösteremediği hatta devlet yönetiminde ciddi hatalar yaptığı gerekçesiyle oldukça sert eleştirilere muhatap olmuştur. Sadrazamlık yaptığı sırada bir süre Hariciye Nazırlığı görevini de aynı anda uhdesine alan Hakkı Paşa, sadrazamlık öncesinde Roma Büyükelçiliği, hayatının son dönemlerinde ise Berlin Büyükelçiliği görevlerini üstlenmiştir. Devlet hayatında üstlendiği vazifelerin ve verdiği kararların diplomasi yönü ağır basmıştır. Sadrazam olduğunda hükümet programını adl ü ihsan olarak belirlemiş ve iç politikada bu ilkeyle özdeşleşmiştir. Bir süre sonra içerde adl ü ihsan politikasını hayata geçiremediği gerekçesiyle eleştirilen İbrahim Hakkı Paşa, dış politika konusunda da özellikle Kiliseler Kanunu ve Trablusgarp Meselesi başta olmak üzere ciddi eleştirilerin hedefi haline gelmiştir. Hatta Trablusgarp Savaşında işgale zemin hazırlayan sebeplere yol açtığı gerekçesiyle vatan haini suçlamasıyla Divân-ı Âlî’de yargılanması talep edilmiştir. İbrahim Hakkı Paşa ve diplomat yönü, bugüne kadar yapılmış çalışmalarda yeterli ilgiyi çekmemiştir. Ancak onun Sadrazam olduğunda dış politika alanında bazen verdiği bazen de vaktinde veremediği kararlar devletin hayatını oldukça derinden etkilemiştir. Diplomat olarak, özellikle İtalya özelinde devletlerarası dostluk romantizmine bağlılığı bugün uluslararası ilişkilerde temel olan devletlerarasında dostlukların değil çıkarların belirleyici olduğu gerçeğinden ne kadar uzak kaldığını ortaya koymaktadır.

20 Kasım 1922 ile 4 Şubat 1923 tarihleri arasında devam etmiş olan Lozan barış görüşmelerinin kesintiye uğradığı bir dönemde 17 Şubat-4 Mart 1923 tarihleri arasında İzmir'de gerçekleşmiş olan iktisat kongresi, Türkiye'nin ekonomi tarihinin kilometre taşlarından biri olarak kabul edilir. Türk iktisat tarihinde çok önemli ve belirleyici bir başlangıç olarak görülen İzmir İktisat Kongresinin bu tarihlerde toplanmasının da bir anlamı vardır. 15 Mayıs 1919 ile 9 Eylül 1922 arasında işgal altında kalmış İzmir'de, konusu iktisat olan bir kongrenin düzenlenmesi dikkat çekicidir. Askerî zaferle kurtarılmış bu şehirde iktisat kongresi düzenlemek, zaferi hatırlatmak noktasında da önemlidir. Aslında kongrenin adı "iktisat" başlığını içeriyorsa da yapısal olarak o günkü ülke şartlarında ekonomiye yönelik konuşmalar ve kararlar alınmış olsa da toplantının zaman ve mekân seçiminin, uluslararası siyaset açısından verdiği güçlü mesajları vardı. Lozan görüşmelerinin kesintiye uğramasına neden olan iktisadî konuların varlığı, İzmir İktisat Kongresi'nin Mustafa Kemal Atatürk açısından ne denli öneme sahip olduğunu gösteriyor. Barış görüşmelerinin kesilmesine neden olan, başta Osmanlı döneminde Avrupalılara verilmiş olan kapitülasyonların kabul edilmeyeceği mesajının net şekilde ortaya konulduğu kongre, aynı zamanda Anadolu insanının kendi ayakları üzerinde; ama çağdaş bir ekonomik yapının şartları ile gelişme azmini de dünyaya ilan ediyordu. Yabancı sermayeye karşı olunmayacağının belirtilmesi de Türkiye'nin Avrupa ile ekonomik münasebetlerinin kesilmeyeceğinin mesajı olarak değerlendirilebilir. Tabii burada dikkat çeken, Avrupalılarla bu ekonomik ilişkinin kapitülasyonlarla değil modern bir anlayışla yapılacağının hissettirilmesi idi. Yani kapitülasyonlar nedeniyle gümrüklerine hâkim olamayan bir ülke olarak yaşayamayacağını Türkiye baştan beri söylemekteydi. Ama yine de yabancı sermaye hususunun dile getirilmesi Türkiye'nin ilerleyen zamanlarda ekonomik gelişiminde Avrupa'yı göz ardı etmeceğinin de bir ifadesi idi. Bu noktalardan bakıldığında İzmir'de toplanan iktisat kongresinde Türkiye'nin ekonomik hürriyet elde edebilmek amacıyla Lozan görüşmelerinde nelerden vazgeçmeyeceği ortaya konulurken yine de Lozan Antlaşması'na imza koyacak devletlerin tamamen ekonomik hayatın dışında kalmayacakları da hatırlatılıyordu. Kapitülasyonların kaldırılması karşılığında 1929'a kadar mevcut gümrük uygulamalarının devamının kabul edilmesi bu uzlaşının bir örneği olarak görülebilir. Bu açıklamalar neticesinde 10. Uluslararası Atatürk Kongresi için hazırlanacak bu bildiride 1923 İzmir İktisat Kongresi'nin bu tarihte düzenlenmesinin yukarıda açıklanmaya çalışılan hususlar açısından ifade ettiği anlam üzerinde durulacaktır.

5000 yıllık bir mazisinin olduğu iddia edilen çay, Türkler tarafından Anadolu'ya gelmeden önce bilinmesine karşın, çayın üretim bağlamında Türkiye'ye gelmesi ve yaygınlaşması 20. yüzyılın başlarında gerçekleşmiştir. Cumhuriyet dönemi öncesinde 1918 yılında Ali Rıza Erten tarafından Doğu Karadeniz kıyısında çay üretilebileceği önerisi sunulmuştur. Rusya’da yaşanan 1917 Bolşevik Devrimi sonrası Doğu Karadeniz Bölgesi’nde sınır kapısının kapatılmasına bağlı olarak erkek gücünün yoğun şekilde bulunması sermaye birikiminin sağlanması açısından koşulları olumlu yönde etkilemiştir. Cumhuriyet döneminde ise Zihni Derin, Rize’de çay üretilmesi konusunda incelemelerde bulunmuştur. Bu incelemeler sonucunda iklim ve toprak bakımından çayın Rize ve çevresinde üretilebileceği ortaya çıkmıştır. Bölgede erkek gücünün yoğun olması ve iklim, toprak koşullarının elverişli durumu çay üretimini devletin ele almasını sağlamıştır. 2 Şubat 1924 yılında 407 sayılı kanun çıkarılmıştır. 1935 yılında dönemin Tarım Bakanı Muhlis Erkmen, Samsun-Rize arasındaki Karadeniz kıyı şeridinde bölgenin şartlarını incelemek üzere bir gezi yapmıştır. Bu gezi sırasında Rize’de çay konusunda yapılan çalışmaları gözlemlemiştir. Daha sonra çay konusunu yerinde incelemek ve detaylı çalışma yapmak üzere bir ekibi Rize’ye göndermiştir. Bu ekipte daha sonra Tarım Bakanlığı yapacak olan Şevket Raşit Hatipoğlu da yer almıştır. Şevket Raşit Hatipoğlu bu konu ile ilgili kapsamlı bir rapor hazırlamıştır. Bu rapor “Türkiye’de Çay İktisadiyatı” adıyla kitap haline getirilmiştir. Şevket Raşit Hatipoğlu eserinde Türkiye’de çay işinin tarihçesi, çay tüketimi, çay ticareti, çay üretimi, çay politikası ve Türkiye’nin çay ithalatı konularında değerlendirmelerde bulunmuştur. 1937 yılında çay üreticisini desteklemek amacıyla bir kanun teklifi hazırlanmış, 7 Temmuz 1939 yılında TBMM’ye sunulmuştur. Hazırlanan kanun 27 Mart 1940 yılında TBMM’de kabul edilmiştir. Bu kanun ile çay tarımı belli bir plan ve program içinde ele alınmaya başlanmıştır. 1942 yılında Tarım Bakanlığı görevine gelen Şevket Raşit Hatipoğlu, çay konusundaki faaliyetleri hızlandırmıştır. Hatipoğlu’nun 1942-1946 yılları arasındaki Tarım Bakanlığı döneminde çay dikim alanı, çay üretici sayısı buna bağlı olarak elde edilen yaş çay ve kuru çay miktarı artmıştır. Şevket Raşit Hatipoğlu aynı zamanda 1942 ve 1943 yıllarında Gündoğdu ve Uzunkaya atölyeleri, 1944 yılında ise Çayeli atölyesinin kurulmasında etkili olmuştur. Çalışmamızın temel çıkış noktasını, 1930’lu yıllarda tarım konusunda kendine yeten ziraat politikasına bağlı olarak farklı ürünlerin üretimine başlanması ve çayın bu alandaki yerinin ne olduğu konusu oluşturmaktadır. Bu çalışmada, çayın Anadolu topraklarında üretilmeye başlanması ve buna bağlı olarak özellikle Rize ili civarında üretimin denenmesi ve hem üretimde hem de üretimin artırılması konusunda Şevket Raşit Hatipoğlu’nun katkılarının neler olduğu araştırılmıştır. Çalışmada arşiv belgelerinden, dönemin gazete ve dergilerinden, başta Şevket Raşit Hatipoğlu olmak üzere, diğer yetkili şahsiyetlerin eserleriyle sonraki dönemlerde yapılmış olan araştırma eserlerden yararlanılmıştır.

In the current work, the effect of copper (Cu), manganese (Mn), and silicon carbide (SiC) nanoparticles on the thermal stability and conductivity of glass fiber-epoxy resin composites was discussed. Thermogravimetric Analysis (TGA) was done as per ASTM E 1131 to study the thermal degradation of composites from 30°C to 800°C. Thermal conductivity increases with the percentage of fillers of SiC, Mn, and Cu nanoparticles in the GFER polymer composites. The combination of epoxy, Glass Fibre and SiC nanoparticle-loaded composites was found highest thermal conductivity. TGA discloses that for SiC, Mn and Cu NPs glass fibre epoxy resin composites thermal stability increased with the percentage weight fraction of nanoparticles. The addition of nanoparticles to glass fibre epoxy resin polymer composites causes an increase in thermal properties due to the nanoparticles acting as catalysts for decomposition and less mass loss observed in TGA. The Thermal Conductivity of 20% SiC nanoparticles were found to be 0.37 W/mK. In Overall comparison, SiC nanoparticle-loaded composites exhibit significantly improved thermal stability and are more suited where the heat transfer plays the predominant role in high thermal conductivity and more thermal stability application fields.

The present study aimed to evaluate the improving or ameliorative effect of beta carotene on titanium dioxide nanoparticles induced testicular toxicity at the histological level. Forty adult healthy male albino mice weighting between 30-37gm and aged 12 to 15. Animals were randomly grouped in to four groups with ten mice in each: the first one was administered normal saline, whereas second group mice were administered 10 mg\kg body weight of beta carotene, third group were given 300 mg\kg body weight of titanium dioxide solution, last fourth group were administered 300 mg\kg body weight of titanium dioxide solution and 10 mg\kg body weight of beta carotene after two hours of every titanium uptake after ten days of pre protective administration of10 mg\kg body weight beta carotene ; all for thirty five days. Results exhibited that the histological toxic effects induced by A 300 mg\kg titanium dioxide nanoparticles administered mice testis showing germinal epithelium sloughing and odema with irregular spermatogenesis .and showing That epididymal epithelium exhibiting lipid vacuoles in the supranuclear region of the principal cells, with papillary infoldings lined by columnar cells and occur hyperplasia of clear cells, Some lumens were devoid of sperm with few cellular debris, also showed atrophy in the smooth muscle between ducts with Inflammatory infiltrate in connective tissue. A group treated with 300 mg\kg titanium dioxide NPs plus 10 mg\kg body weight administered mice that testis and epididymis showing an intact of histologic architecture. And the above effects were ameliorated by the administration of beta carotene, and the pre protective effect of beta carotene increased that effect. In conclusion Beta carotene has improving effects against the histological damage in testis and epididymis and the arrest in spermatogenesis that resulted from the toxicity of titanium dioxide nanoparticles as it repair the damaged parameters and obtaining control like features

Abstract:
Biochar is being studied for few decades as it finds various applications in mitigating climate change, improving soil properties and water retention which subsequently potentially improves the crop yields. One of the parameters potentially predicting the crop yield is the crop density during the vegetation period as it represents the number of plants per area unit that can photosynthesize and potentially bring yield at the end of vegetation season. The paper presents the observations on the changes in canopy density during the vegetative part of the vegetation season of maize (Zea mays L.) which was estimated using non-destructive method of close canopy imagery. The field observations were done at the experimental site in Dolna Malanta near Nitra (Slovakia). In 2014, a commercially purchased soil additive (biochar mixed with compost � BC) was applied to plots (4 x 6 m of size) of agricultural land in the rates of 0, 10 and 20 t/ha. The application rates of BC were combined with 3 levels of NPK fertilizer application (0, 160 and 240 kg N/ha). During the observation period from mid-May 2015 up to beginning of July 2015, images of maize canopy parallel to soil surface were taken from above the crop canopy with camera built up in the mobile. The canopy density was evaluated using the Breedpix software. The canopy density three weeks after sowing ranged from 1.7 to 2.1 % at the control treatments (without BC) at different fertilization levels. The values at treatments with BC ranged from 2.1 up to 2.4 and from 1.9 up to 2.6 % at the application rate 10 and 20 t/ha, respectively. Although in general higher values were observed at treatments with BC application, the differences were not significant. The canopy density over the studied period increased in all treatments, at the end of June the values ranged from 39 to 40 % at the treatments without BC and from 39 to 46 % at treatments with BC at 10 t/ha and from 38 up to 58 % at the treatments with BC at 20 t/ha application rate. Although majority of differences were not statistically significant, it can be concluded that overall biochar mixed with compost slightly increased the density of the maize canopy at least in the early stages of the development. As the maize height was increasing, the sampling method was not suitable as it was not possible to take image of the full canopy within the row. For such applications it might be useful to take photos from larger height preferably with UAV.

A simplified technique for determining the shakedown limit load for a long radius 90-degree pipe bend was previously developed [1, 2]. The simplified technique utilizes the finite element method and employs the small displacement formulation to determine the shakedown limit load (moment) without performing lengthy time consuming full cyclic loading finite element simulations or utilizing conventional iterative elastic techniques. The shakedown limit load is determined through the calculation of residual stresses developed within the pipe bend structure. In the current paper, a parametric study is conducted through applying the simplified technique on three scheduled pipe bends namely: NPS (Nominal Pipe Size) 10" Sch. No. 20, NPS 10" Sch. No. 40 STD, and NPS 10" Sch. No. 80. Two material models are assigned namely; an elastic-perfectly-plastic (EPP) material and an idealized elastic-linear strain hardening material obeying Ziegler’s linear kinematic hardening (KH) rule. This type of material model is termed in the current study as the KH-material. The pipe bends are subjected to a spectrum of constant internal pressure magnitudes and cyclic bending moments. The cyclic bending includes three different loading patterns namely: in-plane closing (IPC), in-plane opening (IPO), and out-of-plane (OP) bending moment loadings of the pipe bends. The shakedown limit moments output by the simplified technique are used to generate shakedown diagrams of the scheduled pipe bends for the spectrum of constant internal pressure magnitudes. A comparison between the generated shakedown diagrams for the pipe bends employing the EPP- and the KH-materials is presented. Relatively higher shakedown limit moments were recorded for the pipe bends employing the KH-material at the medium to high internal pressure magnitudes.

Abstract:
Background Metabolic syndrome (MetS) is highly prevalent among patients with severe mental illness (SMI), primarily due to antipsychotic medication use. This Quality Improvement (QI) project aimed to enhance MetS screening and referral practices among mental health staff through an educational intervention. The objectives were to achieve a 10% increase in MetS documentation, engage at least 50% of staff in the educational sessions, and increase referrals by 10% for at-risk patients. Methods The project was guided by evidence from literature demonstrating the impact of educational interventions on MetS screening. Implementation involved a longitudinal pre-post design, using the M-BACK questionnaire to assess staff knowledge, attitudes, and practices. The primary investigator conducted two 20-minute presentations and provided e-learning modules for reference. Chart reviews assessed MetS documentation pre- and post-intervention, with McNemar’s test and Wilcoxon Signed Ranks Test used to evaluate changes in documentation and staff attitudes, respectively. Results MetS documentation increased from 59.4% to 93.75% post-intervention, exceeding the 10% target. Staff participation in educational sessions was 68.2%, surpassing the 50% goal. Referral rates rose from 88.9% to 100%, an 11.1% increase; the objective met was clinically meaningful, though not statistically significant. Conclusions The findings support incorporating regular MetS education in clinical practice, with quarterly refresher sessions and biannual chart audits recommended for sustained improvement. Abstract:
Matching concept descriptions against concept patterns was introduced as a new inference task in Description Logics (DLs) almost 20 years ago, motivated by applications in the Classic system. For the DL EL, it was shown in 2000 that the matching problem is NP-complete. It then took almost 10 years before this NP-completeness result could be extended from matching to unification in EL. The next big challenge was then to further extend these results from matching and unification without a TBox to matching and unification w.r.t. a general TBox, i.e., a finite set of general concept inclusions. For unification, we could show some partial results for general TBoxes that satisfy a certain restriction on cyclic dependencies between concepts, but the general case is still open. For matching, we solve the general case in this paper: we show that matching in EL w.r.t. general TBoxes is NP-complete by introducing a goal-oriented matching algorithm that uses non-deterministic rules to transform a given matching problem into a solved form by a polynomial number of rule applications. We also investigate some tractable variants of the matching problem.

The Pipeline Research Council International, Inc. found that Scandpower has software that is capable of predicting the transient response of a pipeline segment transporting either conventional or enriched dense phase natural gas mixtures when subjected to a controlled blow down or an uncontrolled rupture event. Consequently PRCI expressed a desire to pursue an experimental work to provide the basis for evaluating the adequacy of the existing software and/or define further development if any. NOVA Research and Technology Corporation (NRTC) was awarded a contract to perform the experimental work and compare results with prediction by the OLGA 2000 software. The existing NPS 2 stainless steel decompression tube test rig at TCPL Gas Dynamic Test Facility (GDTF) in Didsbury, Alberta, Canada, has been expanded specifically for this project. The initial length of 30 meters was extended to 172 meters in order to simulate a longer length to diameter (L/D) ratio. Two sets of tests were conducted: one to simulate pipeline rupture and another to simulate controlled blowdown. Rupture was simulated by a rupture disc located at one end of the tube, while blowdown was affected by a typical blowdown stack and a reduce-bore ball valve. The test scope included three gas mixtures (conventional, medium rich and rich) and three initial pressures: 10, 14 and 20 MPa.

The overall goal of this project was to elucidate the role of dissolved organic matter (DOM) in soil retention, bioavailability and plant uptake of silver and cerium oxide NPs. The environmental risks of manufactured nanoparticles (NPs) are attracting increasing attention from both industrial and scientific communities. These NPs have shown to be taken-up, translocated and bio- accumulated in plant edible parts. However, very little is known about the behavior of NPs in soil-plant system as affected by dissolved organic matter (DOM). Thus DOM effect on NPs behavior is critical to assessing the environmental fate and risks related to NP exposure. Carbon-based nanomaterials embedded with metal NPs demonstrate a great potential to serve as catalyst and disinfectors. Hence, synthesis of novel carbon-based nanocomposites and testing them in the environmentally relevant conditions (particularly in the DOM presence) is important for their implementation in water purification. Sorption of DOM on Ag-Ag₂S NPs, CeO₂ NPs and synthesized Ag-Fe₃O₄-carbon nanotubebifunctional composite has been studied. High DOM concentration (50mg/L) decreased the adsorptive and catalytic efficiencies of all synthesized NPs. Recyclable Ag-Fe₃O₄-carbon nanotube composite exhibited excellent catalytic and anti-bacterial action, providing complete reduction of common pollutants and inactivating gram-negative and gram-positive bacteria at environmentally relevant DOM concentrations (5-10 mg/L). Our composite material may be suitable for water purification ranging from natural to the industrial waste effluents. We also examined the role of maize (Zeamays L.)-derived root exudates (a form of DOM) and their components on the aggregation and dissolution of CuONPs in the rhizosphere. Root exudates (RE) significantly inhibited the aggregation of CuONPs regardless of ionic strength and electrolyte type. With RE, the critical coagulation concentration of CuONPs in NaCl shifted from 30 to 125 mM and the value in CaCl₂ shifted from 4 to 20 mM. This inhibition was correlated with molecular weight (MW) of RE fractions. Higher MW fraction (&gt; 10 kDa) reduced the aggregation most. RE also significantly promoted the dissolution of CuONPs and lower MW fraction (&lt; 3 kDa) RE mainly contributed to this process. Also, Cu accumulation in plant root tissues was significantly enhanced by RE. This study provides useful insights into the interactions between RE and CuONPs, which is of significance for the safe use of CuONPs-based antimicrobial products in agricultural production. Wheat root exudates (RE) had high reducing ability to convert Ag+ to nAg under light exposure. Photo-induced reduction of Ag+ to nAg in pristine RE was mainly attributed to the 0-3 kDa fraction. Quantification of the silver species change over time suggested that Cl⁻ played an important role in photoconversion of Ag+ to nAg through the formation and redox cycling of photoreactiveAgCl. Potential electron donors for the photoreduction of Ag+ were identified to be reducing sugars and organic acids of low MW. Meanwhile, the stabilization of the formed particles was controlled by both low (0-3 kDa) and high (&gt;3 kDa) MW molecules. This work provides new information for the formation mechanism of metal nanoparticles mediated by RE, which may further our understanding of the biogeochemical cycling and toxicity of heavy metal ions in agricultural and environmental systems. Copper sulfide nanoparticles (CuSNPs) at 1:1 and 1:4 ratios of Cu and S were synthesized, and their respective antifungal efficacy was evaluated against the pathogenic activity of Gibberellafujikuroi(Bakanae disease) in rice (Oryza sativa). In a 2-d in vitro study, CuS decreased G. fujikuroiColony- Forming Units (CFU) compared to controls. In a greenhouse study, treating with CuSNPs at 50 mg/L at the seed stage significantly decreased disease incidence on rice while the commercial Cu-based pesticide Kocide 3000 had no impact on disease. Foliar-applied CuONPs and CuS (1:1) NPs decreased disease incidence by 30.0 and 32.5%, respectively, which outperformed CuS (1:4) NPs (15%) and Kocide 3000 (12.5%). CuS (1:4) NPs also modulated the shoot salicylic acid (SA) and Jasmonic acid (JA) production to enhance the plant defense mechanisms against G. fujikuroiinfection. These results are useful for improving the delivery efficiency of agrichemicals via nano-enabled strategies while minimizing their environmental impact, and advance our understanding of the defense mechanisms triggered by the NPs presence in plants.
