Abstract:
We study the qualitative behavior of the positive solutions of a second-order rational fuzzy difference equation with initial conditions being positive fuzzy numbers, and parameters are positive fuzzy numbers. More precisely, we investigate existence of positive solutions, boundedness and persistence, and stability analysis of a second-order fuzzy rational difference equation. Some numerical examples are given to verify our theoretical results.

AbstractWe study deformations of rational curves and their singularities in positive characteristic. We use this to prove that if a smooth and proper surface in positive characteristic p is dominated by a family of rational curves such that one member has all δ-invariants (resp. Jacobian numbers) strictly less than {\frac{1}{2}(p-1)} (resp. p), then the surface has negative Kodaira dimension. We also prove similar, but weaker results hold for higher-dimensional varieties. Moreover, we show by example that our result is in some sense optimal. On our way, we obtain a sufficient criterion in term

Divisibility networks of natural numbers present a scale-free distribution as many other process in real life due to human interventions. This was quite unexpected since it is hard to find patterns concerning anything related with prime numbers. However, it is by now unclear if this behavior can also be found in other networks of mathematical nature. Even more, it was yet unknown if such patterns are present in other divisibility networks. We study networks of rational numbers in the unit interval where the edges are defined via the divisibility relation. Since we are dealing with infinite set

Let$X$be a smooth projective Fano variety over the complex numbers. We study the moduli space of rational curves on$X$using the perspective of Manin’s conjecture. In particular, we bound the dimension and number of components of spaces of rational curves on$X$. We propose a geometric Manin’s conjecture predicting the growth rate of a counting function associated to the irreducible components of these moduli spaces.

AbstractWe study certain sequences of rational functions with poles outside the unit circle. Such kinds of sequences are recursively constructed based on sequences of complex numbers with norm less than one. In fact, such sequences are closely related to the Schur–Nevanlinna algorithm for Schur functions on the one hand, and to orthogonal rational functions on the unit circle on the other. We shall see that rational functions belonging to a Schur–Nevanlinna sequence can be used to parametrize the set of all solutions of an interpolation problem of Nevanlinna–Pick type for Schur functions.
