Las ofrendas quechuas del sur del Perú son platos alimenticios, banquetes destinados principalmente a la pachamama y los apus, pero también elaborados sistemas matemáticos regidos por operaciones sofisticadas. Sirviéndose de dos números fundamentales, el 3 y el 4, los especialistas rituales son capaces de transmitir mensajes polisémicos. Mediante el número 3 aglutinan clientes, parajes y cerros, en suma, «personas» capaces de interactuar entre sí. El 3 aparece en los k’intus de hojas de coca y en las oraciones que se recitan durante el proceso de realizar la ofrenda. Por el contrario, el número 4 no indica relaciones sino formas espaciales: es un operador geométrico que unifica la servilleta ceremonial (unk’uña), el papel envoltorio y el paquete acabado para representar las cuatro direcciones del mundo y hacer de la ofrenda un mundo en miniatura. Gracias a los dos números el ritualista puede recrear el cosmos, establecer convenios con los dioses y definir nuevas situaciones favorables para la vida de sus clientes.
The Quechua offerings in the South of Peru are banquets dedicated to the Pachamama and the Apus, and at the same time, are elaborated mathematical systems controlled by sophisticated operations. Using two principal numbers, 3 and 4, the religious specialist is capable of transmitting polysemic messages. Through the number 3, the religious specialist refers to the people, landscapes and mountains, in sum, to «persons» able to interact among themselves. The number 3 appears in the k’intus, composed of coca leaves, also in the prayers said during the process of the offering ritual. On the contrary, the number 4 does not indicate relationships but spatial forms: it is a geometrical operator that is constructed of the ceremonial square napkin (unk’uña) and paper in which the offering is completely wrapped to make the offering a miniature world, containing the «four directions of the world.» Using these numbers, the religious specialist can recreate the cosmos, establish covenants with the gods and define new situations favorable to the life of Quechuas.

An examination of the influence of medieval numerology and number theory upon the works of the Gawain poet, this essay seeks to connect the importance of numbers to the construction of the four poems. By examining such number theories as the Divine Proportion and marriage numbers, as well as Pythagorean number concepts of masculine and feminine numbers, a clear connection between the literature and the number can be found. The poet not only seeks to use numbers to impart important Christian doctrine to his readers in a subconscious way, he also demonstrates an extreme pre-planning of every line and layout of each poem upon the page. Continuing in current critical traditions of examining this manuscript as whole, "Pearl, " "Patience, " "Cleanness, " and "Sir Gawain and the Green Knight" are shown to join together in an interweaving of connectivity through number pattern and the repetition of important numerological concepts.

This dissertation intends to demonstrate the impact of numerology in every aspect of the lives of ancient precolombian people as well as several contemporary American Indian tribes. For this reason numerology may be viewed as a true science, that is both an esoteric and a philosophical one. Thus, numbers may be looked upon not only as abstract signs, but as all inclusive entities in and of themselves. To the ancients, numerical symbols had an occult connotation that transcended the restrictive boundaries of simple computation. For instance, numerology had an integral role in Maya, Aztec, and some contemporary American Indian religious ceremonies. As an example, the high priests were able to predict future events by making intricate numerological computations. Further still, Maya and Aztec calendars were so accurate that they demonstrated an extraordinary knowledge of astronomical events. In order to accurately study the intricate subject of numerology it was necessary to divide the dissertation in several parts. These parts include a concise discussion of the Maya, the Aztec, and certain contemporary American Indian tribes. A general account of Maya, Aztec, and Contemporary American Indian culture and society was included, using the available data of present day archeological and written documents, in order to accurately describe the philosophy of these people. From an examination of the life and culture of these ancient societies, the basis for their myths of creation and the impact of numerology on those particular myths may be easily ascertained. The conclusion discusses how numerology shaped two great civilizations, that of the Maya and Aztecs, and how these basic esoteric numbers were absorbed and changed, to suit the needs and culture of some present day American Indian tribes.

Keyphrases describe a document in a coherent and simple way, giving the prospective reader a way to quickly determine whether the document satisfies their information needs. The pervasion of huge amount of information on Web, with only a small amount of documents have keyphrases extracted, there is a definite need to discover automatic keyphrase extraction systems. Typically, a document written by human develops around one or more general concepts or sub-concepts. These concepts or sub-concepts should be structured and semantically related with each other, so that they can form the meaningful representation of a document. Considering the fact, the phrases or concepts in a document are related to each other, a new approach for keyphrase extraction is introduced that exploits the semantic relations in the document. For measuring the semantic relations between concepts or sub-concepts in the document, I present a comprehensive study aimed at using collaboratively constructed semantic resources like Wikipedia and its link structure. In particular, I introduce a graph-based keyphrase extraction system that exploits the semantic relations in the document and features such as term frequency. I evaluated the proposed system using novel measures and the results obtained compare favorably with previously published results on established benchmarks.

The motif of twins is one that permeates strongly throughout the Harry Potter series. Fred and George as a pair are immensely popular with fans, and the “very curious” twinship of Harry and Voldemort’s wands is a relationship greatly explored in the saga. In my paper, I shall further explore this prominent Potter motif and delve into the origins and symbolism behind this twinship. I will also recall the dark conclusion to the tale of the Weasley twins. The death of Fred as related to the series’ theme as a whole and the death of Harry in the attempt to remove his parasitic twin, Voldemort’s unintended horcrux, will be discussed. There will also be exploration of missing and broken twins, for example, where is Romulus since we know a Remus? Why are Padma and Parvati in different houses? What is the symbolism of Harry’s broken wand? I will discuss how Voldemort’s creation of horcruxes is an intentional twinning of his self, and thus a mutation of nature. An exploration of numerology in relation to this twin discussion will also be included. This paper will show that the motif of twins is not just an interesting addition to the Potter novels but rather a tie-in to the story’s core of insisting on duality when the truth is in wholeness.

This thesis supports the Master of Fine Arts exhibition, To End In Silence, at the Slocumb Galleries, East Tennessee State University, March 15-19, 2010. The exhibit consists of fourteen pieces, which are either presented on pedestals or mounted on the wall. To comment on the title of my thesis, it is a description of the state of calm that I strive to embrace during the creation of my work and the unobtrusive yet engaging tone that I hope for each finished composition to project. This paper explores the aesthetic and conceptual transitions in my work, inspired by a period of personal realization and acceptance. Influences discussed include a number of connections to historical practices including Buddhism, Numerology, and Traditional Japanese Aesthetics, as well as the works of contemporary artists, Agnes Martin, Lee Bontecou, and Manfred Muller. Also included is a complete catalogue of works from To End In Silence.

[ES] La estandarización de la Quinta Generación de redes móviles o 5G, ha concluido este año 2020. No obstante, en el año 2014 cuando la ITU empezó el proceso de estandarización IMT-2020, una de las principales interrogantes era cuál sería la forma de onda sobre la cual se construiría la capa física de esta nueva generación de tecnologías. El 3GPP se comprometió a entregar una tecnología candidata al proceso IMT-2020, y es así como dentro de este proceso de deliberación se presentaron varias formas de onda candidatas, las cuales fueron evaluadas en varios aspectos hasta que en el año 2016 el 3GPP tomó una decisión, continuar con CP-OFDM (utilizada en 4G) con numerología flexible. Una vez decidida la forma de onda, el proceso de estandarización continuó afinando la estructura de la trama, y todos los aspectos intrínsecos de la misma. Esta tesis acompañó y participó de todo este proceso. Para empezar, en esta disertación se evaluaron las principales formas de onda candidatas al 5G. Es así que se realizó un análisis teórico de cada forma de onda, destacando sus fortalezas y debilidades, tanto a nivel de implementación como de rendimiento. Posteriormente, se llevó a cabo una implementación real en una plataforma Software Defined Radio de tres de las formas de onda más prometedoras (CP-OFDM, UFMC y OQAM-FBMC), lo que permitió evaluar su rendimiento en términos de la tasa de error por bit, así como la complejidad de su implementación. Esta tesis ha propuesto también el uso de una solución armonizada como forma de onda para el 5G y sostiene que sigue siendo una opción viable para sistemas beyond 5G. Dado que ninguna de las forma de onda candidatas era capaz de cumplir por sí misma con todos los requisitos del 5G, en lugar de elegir una única forma de onda se propuso construir un transceptor que fuese capaz de construir todas las principales formas de onda candidatas (CP-OFDM, P-OFDM, UFMC, QAM-FBMC, OQAM-FBMC). Esto se consiguió identificando los bloques comunes entre las formas de onda, para luego integrarlos junto con el resto de bloques indispensables para cada forma de onda. La motivación para esta solución era tener una capa física que fuese capaz de cumplir con todos los aspectos del 5G, seleccionando siempre la mejor forma de onda según el escenario. Esta propuesta fue evaluada en términos de complejidad, y los resultados se compararon con la complejidad de cada forma de onda. La decisión de continuar con CP-OFDM con numerología flexible como forma de onda para el 5G se puede considerar también como una solución armonizada, ya que al cambiar el prefijo cíclico y el número de subportadoras, cambian también las prestaciones del sistema. En esta tesis se evaluaron todas las numerologías propuestas por el 3GPP sobre cada uno de los modelos de canal descritos para el 5G (y considerados válidos para sistemas beyond 5G), teniendo en cuenta factores como la movilidad de los equipos de usuario y la frecuencia de operación; para esto se utilizó un simulador de capa física del 3GPP, al que se hicieron las debidas adaptaciones con el fin de evaluar el rendimiento de las numerologías en términos de la tasa de error por bloque. Finalmente, se presenta un bosquejo de lo que podría llegar a ser la Sexta Generación de redes móviles o 6G, con el objetivo de entender las nuevas aplicaciones que podrían ser utilizadas en un futuro, así como sus necesidades. Completado el estudio llevado a cabo en esta tesis, se puede afirmar que como se propuso desde un principio la solución, tanto para el 5G como para beyond 5G, la solución es la armonización de las formas de onda. De los resultados obtenidos se puede corroborar que una solución armonizada permite alcanzar un ahorro computacional entre el 25-40% para el transmisor y del 15-25% para el receptor. Además, fue posible identificar qué numerología CP-OFDM es la más adecuada para cada escenario, lo que permitiría optimizar el diseño y despliegue de las redes 5G. Esto abriría la puerta a hacer lo mismo con el 6G, ya que en esta tesis se considera que será necesario abrir nuevamente el debate sobre cuál es la forma de onda adecuada para esta nueva generación de tecnologías, y se plantea que el camino a seguir es optar por una solución armonizada con distintas formas de onda, en lugar de solo una como sucede con el 5G.

No obstant això, l'any 2014 quan la ITU va començar el procés d'estandardització IMT-2020, uns dels principals interrogants era quina seria la forma d'onda sobre la qual es construiria la capa física d'esta nova generació de tecnologies. El 3GPP es va comprometre a entregar una tecnologia candidata al procés IMT-2020, i és així com dins d'este procés de deliberació es van presentar diverses formes d'onda candidates, les quals van ser avaluades en diversos aspectes fins que l'any 2016 el 3GPP va prendre una decisió, continuar amb CP-OFDM (utilitzada en 4G) amb numerología flexible. Una vegada decidida la forma d'onda, el procés d'estandardització va continuar afinant la frame structure (no se m'ocorre nom en espanyol), i tots els aspectes intrínsecs de la mateixa. Esta tesi va acompanyar i va participar de tot este procés. Per a començar, en esta dissertació es van avaluar les principals formes d'onda candidates al 5G. És així que es va realitzar una anàlisi teòrica de cada forma d'onda, destacant les seues fortaleses i debilitats, tant a nivell d'implementació com de rendiment. Posteriorment, es va dur a terme una implementació real en una plataforma Software Defined Radio de tres de les formes d'onda més prometedores (CP-OFDM, UFMC i OQAM-FBMC), la qual cosa va permetre avaluar el seu rendiment en termes de la taxa d'error per bit, així com la complexitat de la seua implementació. Esta tesi ha proposat també l'ús d'una solució harmonitzada com a forma d'onda per al 5G i sosté que continua sent una opció viable per a sistemes beyond 5G. Atés que cap de les forma d'onda candidates era capaç de complir per si mateixa amb tots els requeriments del 5G, en compte de triar una única forma d'onda es va proposar construir un transceptor que fóra capaç de construir totes les principals formes d'onda candidates (CP-OFDM, P-OFDM, UFMC, QAM-FBMC, OQAM-FBMC). Açò es va aconseguir identificant els blocs comuns entre les formes d'onda, per a després integrar-los junt amb la resta de blocs indispensables per a cada forma d'onda. La motivació per a esta solució era tindre una capa física que fóra capaç de complir amb tots els aspectes del 5G, seleccionant sempre la millor forma d'onda segons l'escenari. Esta proposta va ser avaluada en termes de complexitat, i els resultats es van comparar amb la complexitat de cada forma d'onda. La decisió de continuar amb CP-OFDM amb numerología flexible com a forma d'onda per al 5G es pot considerar també com una solució harmonitzada, ja que al canviar el prefix cíclic i el número de subportadores, canvien també les prestacions del sistema. En esta tesi es van avaluar totes les numerologías propostes pel 3GPP sobre cada un dels models de canal descrits per al 5G (i considerats vàlids per a sistemes beyond 5G), tenint en compte factors com la mobilitat dels equips d'usuari i la freqüència d'operació; per a açò es va utilitzar un simulador de capa física del 3GPP, a què es van fer les degudes adaptacions a fi d'avaluar el rendiment de les numerologías en termes de la taxa d'error per bloc. Finalment, es presenta un esbós del que podria arribar a ser la Sexta Generació de xarxes mòbils o 6G, amb l'objectiu d'entendre les noves aplicacions que podrien ser utilitzades en un futur, així com les seues necessitats. Completat l'estudi dut a terme en esta tesi, es pot afirmar que com es va proposar des d'un principi la solució, tant per al 5G com per a beyond 5G, la solució és l'harmonització de les formes d'onda. dels resultats obtinguts es pot corroborar que una solució harmonitzada permet aconseguir un estalvi computacional entre el 25-40% per al transmissor i del 15-25% per al receptor. A més, va ser possible identificar què numerología CP-OFDM és la més adequada per a cada escenari, la qual cosa permetria optimitzar el disseny i desplegament de les xarxes 5G. Açò obriria la porta a fer el mateix amb el 6G, ja que en esta tesi es considera que serà necessari obrir novament el debat sobre quina és la forma d’onda adequada per a esta nova generació de tecnologies, i es planteja que el camí que s’ha de seguir és optar per una solució harmonitzada amb distintes formes d’onda, en compte de només una com succeïx amb el 5G.
[EN] The standardization of the Fifth Generation of mobile networks or 5G is still ongoing, although the first releases of the standard were completed two years ago and several 5G networks are up and running in several countries around the globe. However, in 2014 when the ITU began the IMT-2020 standardization process, one of the main questions was which would be the waveform to be used on the physical layer of this new generation of technologies. The 3GPP committed to submit a candidate technology to the IMT-2020 process, and that is how within this deliberation process several candidate waveforms were presented. After a thorough evaluation regarding several aspects, in 2016 the 3GPP decided to continue with CP-OFDM (used in 4G) but including, as a novelty, the use of a flexible numerology. Once the waveform was decided, the standardization process continued to fine-tune the frame structure and all the intrinsic aspects of it. This thesis accompanied and participated in this entire process. To begin with, this dissertation evaluates the main 5G candidate waveforms. Therefore, a theoretical analysis of each waveform is carried out, highlighting its strengths and weaknesses, both at the implementation and performance levels. Subsequently, a real implementation on a Software Defined Radio platform of three of the most promising waveforms (CP-OFDM, UFMC, and OQAM-FBMC) is presented, which allows evaluating their performance in terms of bit error rate, as well as the complexity of its implementation. This thesis also proposes the use of a harmonized solution as a waveform for 5G and argues that it remains a viable option for systems beyond 5G. Since none of the candidate waveforms was capable of meeting on its own with all the requirements for 5G, instead of choosing a single waveform, this thesis proposes to build a transceiver capable of building all the main waveforms candidates (CP-OFDM, P-OFDM, UFMC, QAM-FBMC, OQAM-FBMC). This is achieved by identifying the common blocks between the waveforms and then integrating them with the rest of the essential blocks for each waveform. The motivation for this solution is to have a physical layer that is capable of complying with all aspects of beyond 5G technologies, always selecting the best waveform according to the scenario. This proposal is evaluated in terms of complexity, and the results are compared with the complexity of each waveform. The decision to continue with CP-OFDM with flexible numerology as a waveform for 5G can also be considered as a harmonized solution, since changing the cyclic prefix and the number of subcarriers, changes also the performance of the system. In this thesis, all the numerologies proposed by the 3GPP are evaluated on each of the channel models described for 5G (and considered valid for beyond 5G systems), taking into account factors such as the mobility of the user equipment and the operating frequency. For this, a 3GPP physical layer simulator is used, and proper adaptations are made in order to evaluate the performance of the numerologies in terms of the block error rate. Finally, a sketch of what could become the Sixth Generation of mobile networks or 6G is presented, with the aim of understanding the new applications that could be used in the future, as well as their needs. After the completion of the study carried out in this thesis, it can be said that, as stated from the beginning, for both 5G and beyond 5G systems, the solution is the waveform harmonization. From the results obtained, it can be corroborated that a harmonized solution allows achieving computational savings between 25-40% for the transmitter and 15-25% for the receiver. In addition, it is possible to identify which CP-OFDM numerology is the most appropriate for each scenario, which would allow optimizing the design and deployment of 5G networks. This would open the door to doing the same with 6G, i.e., a harmonized solution with different waveforms, instead of just one as in 5G.

This thesis deals with complex processes, relationships and phenomena which go beyond the assumed and accepted materialistic perception of the world in general and the process of architectural design specifically. It clarifies and actually redefine the sustainability from a point of higher universal principles forming our environment. At the beginning this thesis presents an extensive knowledge base of existing holistic design systems including Feng-shui, sacred geometry, geomancy or numerology. The purpose is to build and establish a solid foundation for understanding and further research as well as objectively interpreting lesser known topics as a whole. On the basis of intersecting information through the above mentioned topics we specify the hypothesis which proposes the pre-existence of one unifying design matrix of harmonic structures in architecture. The structure of its verification takes us from an analysis of the science of human perception to systems of self-similar contextual references of animated and inanimated forms. These systems of emergent form and flow are basically known as fractals, and could be expressed in both mathematical and geometrical languages. The thesis research then consists of analysing chosen examples of urban and architectural scale in sense of fractality, symbolism and geometrical matrices. We include and integrate the research of associated and relevant phenomena in pedagogical practice, and a case study of the application of fractals in development of a chosen town. From the results of this thesis we abstract five non-dogmatic guidelines or tenets for architectural design; which are supported by experimental verification on some of the author´s buildings. These tenets stand as pillars of implosive architecture. This kind of architecture in context of transcendental overlaps means a possibility of how to bring our anthropogenic environment closer to the natural and harmonic code of the Universe.

I explore visual and process-based systems to solidify the allusive nature of conceptual ideas. Impermanence, time and interdependence are reoccurring themes that stem from an interest in Eastern philosophy. Oscillating from representation to abstract minimalism, printmaking to sculpture, each element in a work is tailored to the concept. The minimalist appearance suggests simplicity, however elaborate planning and systematic execution are at the heart of my practice. Systems create great constraint, yet provide great freedom.

Cette thèse doctorale explore l'amélioration de l'allocation des ressources sans fil dans les communications Vehicle-to-Everything (V2X), selon la norme 3GPP Release 16. Le domaine spécifique de notre recherche est la communication NR-V2X Sidelink, également connue sous le nom de communication New Radio-Vehicles to Vehicles (NR-V2V). Notre objectif est de formuler un nouveau protocole d'optimisation qui garantit non seulement des services de haute qualité (QoS) mais surpasse également les méthodologies existantes dans la communication NR-V2V.Tout d'abord, nous introduisons la Configuration Physique Adaptative (APC), un algorithme basé sur la recherche conçu pour identifier la configuration optimale de la couche physique à l'intérieur d'un ensemble de facteurs environnementaux, spécifiquement adaptée pour un schéma de communication de diffusion. Suite à cela, nous faisons évoluer l'APC vers une variante sensible à la radio (RA-APC), élargissant son champ d'action en incorporant une communication en unicast et en établissant une structure plus flexible pour les ressources PHY. Dans la phase finale, nous affinons encore RA-APC en intégrant un algorithme d'apprentissage automatique, spécifiquement un arbre de décision. Cette intégration met à jour les schémas au sein des facteurs d'entrée, augmentant ainsi à la fois la précision et l'efficacité du processus d'optimisation de l'allocation
This doctoral dissertation explores the enhancement of wireless resource allocation in Vehicle-to-Everything (V2X) communications, as specified by the 3GPP Release 16 standard. The specific area of our research is the NR-V2X Sidelink communication, also known as the New Radio-Vehicles to Vehicles (NR-V2V) communication. Our goal is to formulate a novel optimization protocol that not only guarantees high-quality services (QoS) but also outperforms existing methodologies in NR-V2V communication.Initially, we introduce Adaptive Physical Configuration (APC), a search-based algorithm designed to identify the optimal physical layer configuration within a set of environmental factors, specifically tailored for a broadcast communication scheme. Following this, we evolve APC into a Radio Aware variant (RA-APC), broadening its scope by incorporating unicast communication and establishing a more flexible structure for PHY resources. In the final phase, we further refine RA-APC by integrating a machine learning algorithm, specifically a decision tree. This integration uncovers patterns within the input factors, thereby augmenting both the accuracy and efficiency of the allocation optimization process

Parmi les principales raisons qui ont aboutit au progrès technique et au développement des systèmes de communication sans fils modernes, on trouve la forte demande des besoins et des exigences des différents utilisateurs. Ainsi, depuis les systèmes de deuxième génération (2G), de nombreux changements ont eu lieu, principalement, le passage des modulations (WF) mono-porteuses aux modulations multi-porteuses (MC) introduites pour la transmission de la 4G en sens descendant.En effet, l'idée d'introduire les formes d'ondes MC est de se débarrasser des effets du canal de propagation, en relâchant le processus d’égalisation par la transmission des symboles de données sur des sous-canaux ou des sous-porteuses à évanouissements plats. En outre, la modulation MC la plus répandue est l'orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (OFDM), qui est devenu très dominante et largement utilisée dans de nombreuses normes sans fil, telles que long term evolution (LTE)- Advanced (LTE-A) et le Wi-Fi. Ce succès de l'OFDM est du grâce à ses avantages présentés dans la simple implémentation par le biais de l'utilisation de la transformée de Fourrier rapide inverse (IFFT) à la transmission et de la transformé de Fourrier rapide à la réception. De plus, avec l'utilisation du préfixe cyclique (CP), la transmission est ainsi sans interférences inter-symboles (ISI).Malgré la dominante utilisation de l'OFDM MW, néanmoins, elle présente des inconvénients. En effet, cette technique souffre de la perte de l'efficacité spectrale à cause de l'utilisation du CP, sans oublier la mauvaise localisation fréquentielle à cause de la mise en forme rectangulaire du filtre prototype utilisé dans OFDM. Ces inconvénients ont été une source de motivation pour les chercheurs pour la conception d'une nouvelle MC WF, ayant une meilleure localisation fréquentielle, une meilleure robustesse au synchronisme des utilisateurs, tout en conservant une complexité de mise en oeuvre modérée. Dans ce contexte, un nombre élevé de MC WF post-OFDM ont été proposés et mis en œuvre pour répondre aux scénarios et aux exigences de la 5G d'une manière flexible.Ainsi, la modulation multi-porteuse à base des bancs de filtres (FBMC-OQAM) a été proposée en tant qu'une solution alternative à l'OFDM WF et ce pour surmonter ses inconvénients. En effet, la modulation FBMC-OQAM utilise un filtre prototype (Phydyas) qui lui permet d'avoir une meilleure localisation fréquentielle ce que lui offre une meilleure performance en supportant les phénomènes d'asynchronisme entre les utilisateurs ainsi que la transmission avec différentes numérologies. En outre, l'efficacité spectrale est améliorée grâce à la non utilisation du CP et de bandes de garde larges. De plus, l'orthogonalité dans le domaine réel est garantie grâce à l'utilisation de la modulation OQAM. Vu que la modulation utilisée en FBMC-OQAM peut être considérée comme la transmission de deux flux de modulation M-PAM sur la même sous porteuse et comme le traitement largement linéaire est plus performant par rapport au traitement classique pour la modulatyion M-PAM, on va se concentrer sur les avantages de ce traitement largement linéaire utilisé pour le système FBMC-OQAM. En outre, en se basant qur e caractère cyclo-stationnaire du signal FBMC-OQAM, nous avons proposés une structure d'égalisation avancée basée sur le traitement FRESH qui a été appliqué sur un système FBMC-OQAM utilisant différente numélogies
The increasing demand of user’s requirements is one of the main reasons in technical progress and development of modern wireless communication systems. Thus, since 2G and beyond, there have been many changes, especially, the switch from the mono carrier to the multi-carrier (MC), introduced for the Down-Link (DL) 4G transmission. Indeed, the predo- minant idea behind introducing MC waveforms (WF) is to get rid of the propagation channel effects, by relaxing the equalization process through the transmission of the data symbols over flat fading sub-channels or sub-carriers. Furthermore, the widely adopted MC WF is the ortho- gonal frequency division multiplexing (OFDM), which became very popular and widely used in many wireless standards like long term evolution (LTE)- Advanced (LTE-A) andWi-Fi. The standardization of OFDM, for these applications and also for some others, is related to the ad- vantages shown by this MC WF. One of these advantages is its simple implementation through the use of the inverse fast Fourier transform (IFFT) at the transmitter side, and a FFT at the receiver side. Also, OFDM introduces a cyclic prefix (CP), making the transmission free from inter-symbol-interference (ISI).Despite the large success of the OFDM WF, this technique suffers from the loss of spec- tral efficiency due to the use of the CP. Besides, it suffers from bad frequency localization due the use of a rectangular prototype filter. These OFDM drawbacks, have motivated researchers to design new MC WF, with better frequency domain localization, better robustness to user’s synchronism, while keeping moderate implementation complexity. In this context, high num- ber of post-OFDM MC WF have been proposed and implemented to meet 5G scenarios and requirements in a flexible manner.Therefore, the offset-quadratureamplitudemodulation-based filter-bankmulti-carrier(FBMC- OQAM) has been proposed as an alternative to overcome some drawbacks of the OFDM WF. Indeed, FBMC-OQAM is characterized by owning one of the best frequency localiza- tion among all the post-OFDM WFs, thanks to its prototype filter (Phydyas), providing then the best performance in supporting asynchronous and mixed numerologies transmissions. Be- sides, it offers high spectrum efficiency since it avoids the use of CP and large guard bands. Furthermore, the orthogonality in real domain is guaranteed thanks to the use of the OQAM modulation. However, this orthogonality is lost under frequency selective channels which re- quires advanced equalization techniques.In this context, the main objective of this thesis is to study different types of equalization applied on FBMC-OQAM system. Since the modulation used in the FBMC-OQAM system can be seen as the transmission of two M−PAM modulations over one single carrier and since the widely linear processing outperforms the classical one for M−PAM modulation, we will focus on the advantages of using the widely linear processing over FBMC-OQAM system. Ad- ditionally, and based on the cyclo-stationarity of the FBMC-OQAM signal, we have proposed an advanced equalization structure based on FRESH processing that have been applied in to a FBMC-OQAM system using different numerologies

As mudanças pela quais vem passando a área de gestão de pessoas têm suscitado o desenvolvimento de novas práticas, algumas ainda não validadas pela ciência, como é o caso da grafologia e do shiatsu e, outras, consideradas “ocultas” e, na melhor das hipóteses, metafísica, por sua origem mística, e que, alguns anos atrás, seria impensável o seu emprego como ferramentas em gestão empresarial, dentre elas a astrologia, a numerologia, o feng shui e a radiestesia. Este estudo identificou, descreveu e consolidou os dados de empresas que aplicam uma ou mais dessas práticas, revelando suas expectativas, quando optam por utilizá-las e os resultados alcançados. O referencial teórico, que deu sustentação à pesquisa, pautou-se na dimensão psíquica, através da análise da psicodinâmica organizacional e da psicologia analítica de Jung, na dimensão sociológica, através da cultura organizacional, na dimensão holística, que incorporou a perspectiva espiritual, e na dimensão administrativa, via análise das mudanças na gestão de pessoas e qualidade de vida no trabalho. Abordou-se ainda, de forma resumida, informações acerca das principais práticas alternativas. A metodologia de pesquisa consistiu de levantamentos quantitativo e qualitativo em empresas localizadas no eixo São Paulo/Rio de Janeiro, com o aprofundamento do estudo através da análise de multicasos. Foram entrevistados especialistas que atuam como consultores externos e gestores de 11 empresas de distintos portes e segmentos de atuação, que utilizam uma ou mais dessas ferramentas. Concluiu-se, dentre outros aspectos, que práticas alternativas são adotadas por diversos tipos, segmentos e portes de empresas, na maior parte das vezes, por definição da alta direção, e apenas em alguns casos, por iniciativa da área de recursos humanos.

Esta Tesis Doctoral versa sobre el aspecto sagrado de la Arquitectura, tanto de la Obra en sí como del proceso proyectual. En este sentido, se ha dicho y demostrado que la Arquitectura, para poder ser considerada como tal, es una física desprendida de una metafísica. Y se ha visto que en absoluto esto debe considerarse como una forma de pasado sino, por el contrario, una posibilidad siempre actual en la medida que son los símbolos, ritos y mitos los soportes para que la Arquitectura exprese aquellas ideas universales que, en virtud misma de su universalidad, lo son para todas las generalidades. Fundamental ha sido la distinción entre símbolo y signo, viendo que, si bien desde Aristóteles, y Hegel como último exponente, el símbolo se ha considerado un modo convencional de significación, en realidad y por el contrario, debe tomarse al símbolo como un código revelado y que es precisamente a este código al que hace referencia la Arquitectura o la Simbólica arquitectónica, que es lo mismo.
Al considerar la Arquitectura como un hecho simbólico en sí mismo me ha interesado los invariantes, aquella Forma que, siguiendo a Kahn, no tiene figura ni dimensión. El objeto de la Tesis responde, pues, a una pregunta: ¿qué es (tì estín) la Arquitectura? -es decir, ha sido temático el Orden-. No ha sido temático cómo es (poiòn estín) la Arquitectura -es decir, el Diseño-. Esta distinción, prestada de Platón supone preguntarse por la sustancia (naturaleza o esencia) de la cosa no por su accidente (cualidades, propiedades o atributos).
Luego, todo Edificio proyectado y necesariamente construido según criterios estrictamente tradicionales conforma un paradigma cosmológico y, en tanto que tal, un "mapa de conocimiento", una "piedra viva", luego un símbolo. Dado que la Metafísica a la cual me he referido es revelación, hay un componente mistérico inherente a la propia práctica del Oficio; luego, el individuo capaz de desarrollar el Oficio requiere de una iniciación. Y es precisamente la cuestión iniciática lo que me ha llevado a considerar la Arquitectura como una propedéutica, en igualdad de condiciones con aquella Filosofía no racional esgrimida por Pitágoras y Platón. Entonces, se ha visto que si la Filosofía no racional es un deseo erótico para con Sophia la Arquitectura participa de este eros, siendo su objeto la Luz, otra de sus figuraciones simbólicas. Además, se ha demostrado que la Simbólica arquitectónica ha sido un instrumento eficaz, diría que imprescindible, para los filósofos prearistotélicos y para aquellos que después del estarigita participaron de aquella corriente intelectual. Se ha visto, aunque entiendo que para muchos esto es harto discutible, acaso incomprensible y extravagante, que contemplar la Arquitectura como un hecho a-histórico ha desvelado su trabazón con una corriente intelectual que sitúa la Simbólica arquitectónica como un lenguaje excepcional para revelar y transmitir las ideas metafísicas.

In the Study, Chinese numerology was used upon stock picking strategy using CSI 300 Index constituent stocks as sample during the period from January 3, 2000 to December 31, 2012. The adjusting monthly closing stock price were used as the sample data through the Rolling-Window Method, and each approach from Bagua School, Meihuayishu School, Digital Magnetic Field School and Shinjuku School classified sampling stocks as good and bad group against numeric data, such as the stock code, listed date of stock, date of company was established for CSI 300 Index Constituent Stocks respectively. I further incorporated with the test analysis applied on the rate of return in monthly, quarterly, half yearly and yearly, to verify if separately classified good/bad group had significant difference on the rate of return; besides, the rate of return was listed in the order of good/bad from high to low. The empirical results indicated that Bagua School, Meihuayishu School, Digital Magnetic Field and Shinjuku School had obvious level on the rate of return listed in half yearly and yearly; however, most of them were not listed the order of good/bad from high to low. Of which, only Shinjuku School denoted that there are obvious difference on the rate of return of separated group stocks depended on the listed date of stock and was listed in the order of good/bad from high to low. The result showed that it is possible to serve Chinese numerology as the referable base in the investment of picking strategy on China stock market.

The numerology service is a very special business. There are quite few literatures about such business’s operation. The purpose of this study is to investigate the relations among the service quality, customer’s satisfaction and the loyalty for the numerology service organizations. 　　This study designed a quantitative questionnaire to collect the research data from the numerology service organization’s customers. There were 233 valid samples in this study. This study analyize the data with descriptive statistics, t-test, one way ANOVA, and Person correlation test. 　　The results of this study are as follows: 1. Customers from different backgrounds in the service quality showed a level of agreement. It displays the numerology service organization has received the identity of customers. 2. Customers in different demographic background variables showed significant differences in the numerology service organization satisfaction. 3. The customer’s satisfaction will affect the customer’s loyalty in the numerology service organization. To maintain customer’s loyalty has to improve the customer’s satisfaction and the service quality. 　　This study concluded that the professional knowledge is the most important factor for the assurance in the numerology service organization. In order to improve the customer’s satisfaction, the numerology service organization has to enhance the assurance quality.

Since the ancient age in Chinese societies, Numerology has long been applied for human resources assessment and recruitment. Also, it has been deeply rooted in managerial perception and influenced the judgement in workplace. Few, however, systematically and scientifically investigated on this topic. This study sets to investigate on the effectiveness of Numerological approaches in enterprise recruitment and selection. Practical forms as tools for recruitment were developed through a series of scientific methods: literature review, survey inventory development, pre-tests, expert-based reliability and validity analysis, experiment study for comparing across traditional, numerological, and self-reported methods of employees ability evaluation. Major findings follow. 1.Potential managers are characterized by high forehead and glossy gloss, with gesture stability when sitting on the chair; while salesforce characterize as mouth angle up, can take the initiative to create a topic when talking; while administrative staff gnerally has soft eye sights. 2.Numerological assessment equals self-reported while better than traditional methods when making judgement on candidates ability. 3. It is complementary to have company-trained and external consulting numerology experts to conduct recruitment interviews, as compared with traditional interview method.

Businesses employ a variety of methodologies, such as IQ testing and psychological assessments. What are the other options beyond these? How did ancient Chinese royals select their talents to strengthen their power? Such ancient wisdom and methods, when aligned to modern business, should remain applicable to modern hiring. As personality dictates destiny and attitudes dictates business latitudes, how can they help identify the right talent? Right talent recruitment shall shorten the trial period, save human resource costs and achieve optimal talent placement. This study will employ ancient perspectives, specifically the Chinese astrology Zi Wei Dou Shu and Chinese horoscope Ba Zi, for business purposes to understand desirable candidate personalities and attitudes. This study takes Mr. A as an example to illustrate the personality and attitude assessment by incorporating Zi Wei Dou Shu (as the body, for personality) and Ba Zi (as the application, for attitude) with behavioural analysis. Finally by analyzing and concluding the leadership characteristics, personalities and attitudes of Mr. A to determine if he represents the right talent for a business.

Customer‐ perceived value means “the consumer’s overall assessment of the utility of a product based on perceptions of what is received and what is given.” (Zeithaml, 1988)In Taiwan, many markets of numerology consulting, commonly known as fortune-telling, few people concern about customers’ perceived value after the fortune-telling. Also, relevantstudies on customers’ perceived value are rare. Therefore, the research focuses on how numerology industry createshigh quality ofcustomers’ value in order to build up brand-images. Qualitative research method wasemployed and ten different-aged participants,who are customers in fortune-telling markets, were invited to take part in the study. Methods of data collection were predominatelycase interviews. The ten anonymous customerswere interviewed in different times to understand their perceived feelings of past fortune-telling experiences as opposed to the customers’ value they perceive in the numerology consulting center operated by the researcher.Following Zeithaml’s theory (1988) about perspectives on customer‐ perceived value, this study, fromcustomers’ perspectives, explore the benefits that numerology-consulting customers perceive, such as changes in personal life or attitudes, and the overall value they perceiveafter assessing money and time costs they spend on consulting services.Results of this studyshed light on both numerology consulting centers in Taiwan for having clear understanding of customers’ demands and values, and future related research.

This study aims to explore relationship between numerology and disease. By interpretation of “birthday number”, “life path number”, “main challenge number” and “missing number” of numerology, it randomly selects the samples from illness of department of cardiology, division of thoracic medicine, department of gastroenterology & hepatology, division of nephrology, department of neurosurgery, orthopedics, urological department, breast surgery department, dermatology department, ophthalmology department, thyroidal illness and diabetes. It conducts analysis of chi-square test. Interval of this study is from January 1 to October 31, 2016. Major samples are provided by one regional hospital. There are 1200 samples, including 1164 valid ones. According to research findings, regarding the relationship with disease, referential and relative value of “missing number” and “main challenge number” of numerology are higher than “birthday number” and “life path number”; “missing number” with higher frequency of occurrence refers to medium and high level numbers instead of low-level ones; “main challenge number” with higher frequency of occurrence refers to low-level numbers. It can be inferred that in birth chart of numerology, people who lack medium and high-level numbers or have birthday number and main challenge number as low-level ones tend to suffer from various kinds of illness. Their inborn physical state is inferior and they should particularly pay attention to the issue of health. With the support of scientific research, regarding relation between numerology and disease, the research findings can serve as reference for numerology related researchers and users. It is suggested that future researchers can expand research scope upon different departments of diseases and increase the samples to complete the research on relationship between numerology and disease and result in more precise statements.

Abstract The numerology of Ta-yen first appeared in the 9th chapter of Shih-Tzou Chuan, revised by Chu-Hsi It was used from the early period or the middle period of the Western Han Dynasty. This article is divided into four parts and gets the conclusion as follows: （1） The sage used 271 bamboos of divination to predict if it is auspicious. Technology comes from human nature, in order to meet human needs, thus making advances in technology. In the past, much of the work cannot be solved by human power, can be solved by science and technology now. All types of numerology are the lack of scientific data to support in the past, so the situation is always to believe it or not. However, the numerology industry has not been eliminated. As technology advances, the number of numerology website also grows a lot. According to several polls, the number of site visits and numerology network market turnover, showed a growth trend. To break the gap of numerology and Sciences, this study is in conformity with Personal Data Protection Law to obtain the appropriate name data and select Anthroponymy from a lot of numerology theory. By theory of personal name and disaster, the name data were divided into experimental and control groups. Because the amount in the name database we have obtained is very large, we build three additional databases: the Kangxi dictionary database, the Five Elements database and the Disaster database. Then we develop a windows application using C#, the application is used to seek each name in the name database. Each name will be decomposed and transformed by the Kangxi Dictionary database and the Five Elements database. Finally, analyze and make statistics by the Disaster database. In current convenience society,this speed contest century, no meter enterprise or personally. We will like to get the best effective benefit in most short time, it is the use of the ancient philosophy of numerology, the theory of the five Elements and eight characters, after thousands of years of statistics, whether the testimony of humanity is still applicable to the current changing times, whether it has its influence. This study uses the literature collection of the Yijing Five Elements and Eight Characters in the philosophy of numerology to provide a basis for research data for the general public with work experience through questionnaires. This research survey focus on populace. Investigation announced 400 samples, return 368 samples, unusable 60 samples. Totally got validity 308 samples, return rate 77%. And used statistical analysis to verify the hypothesis of this study. Include Narrative statistics, trust level analysis, Independent sample t test, Single factor analysis, regression analysis. The results of the study show that single factors in numerology philosophy to judge personality traits, stress adjustment and work characteristics are not complete.. Therefore, it is necessary to use numerology philosophy to judge multiple factors in numerology philosophy and analyze and study at the same time. However, personality traits, stress adjustment and work characteristics are three factors that have significant influence.

In the Chinese social life, people in the numerology industry are no strangers, whether it is the naming of newborns, the choice of the day, the planning of Feng Shui. Numerology has a long history. With the changes of the times, the new modes of operation have been born. This study uses the case study method and interview methods in qualitative research to analyze the traditional numerology museum’s SWOT mode and current business model. After the analysis, it was found that the network of traditional numerology and new media were lacking, therefore recommended to strengthen this part and give a new business model canvas.

This study is to authentic the numerology and empirical of stock slection, Taking the sample by Hong Kong Heng Seng Index’s component stock from 2000 to 2013 with total 14 years as the major target of research. The initial data of target research is adopted the adjusted monthly closing price. By using the rolling window method and the return on monthly end, quarterly end, half yearly and yearly end. The return on on monthly, quarterly, halfyearly and annual yearly are calculated respectively. There have 5 numerologies to classify the good group and bad group which are Bagua School, Meihuayishu School, Digital Magnetic Field School, Shinjukul School and Number Future. To check the return ratio under good group and bad group are raned by high to low. Only grouped stock by Bagua School is listed in the order of good or bad group from low to high . The result showed the partial possibility to serve numerology as the referable base and wishing the Bagua School can be the referreed base under the stock market for investors.

In this study, the theory of the Zi Wei Dou Shu of Chinese numerology as the main concept using three elements such as good, even and bad fortune. With the three elements, this study verifies the capacity of Zi Wei Dou Shu to forecast the rate of return. The aim of this study is to forecast the China stock market CSI300 index stocks by secondary data collection and study a period of 13 years from 2000 to 2012. This study analyzes data using two dimensions, one is to examine the validation of grand fortune forecast in the China stock market and the other is to verify separate rate of return in each year. Data test results demonstrate that the empirical accuracy of these stocks can rise up to 36.42%, while correct investment rate of return is 7.69% within 1 year among all 13 years. The average rate of return is up to 31.22%.

People's financial management tends to be diversified and facilitated with the knowledge popularization on wealth management and the rise of Fintech. The purpose of this study was to investigate the relationships among consumers' characteristics, five-phases characteristic, financial management behavior, and risk tolerance by questionnaire survey. The results showed that 80% of consumers have investment experience, most people use stocks and insurance as their investment tools. Women pay more attention to saving and insurance than men, and married people are significantly higher than singles. People with a large number of dependents pay more attention to cash flow management than other types. The higher the personal monthly savings, the higher the emphasis on savings and insurance, and the higher the risk tolerance. People with more investment experience pay more attention to financial management behavior and risk tolerance than those with lower investment experience. The use of financial tools and risk tolerance were significantly different by five-phases characteristic.

It is the instinct of human beings to avoid evil. The ancient Chinese people are looking for good fortune and fortune. In the creation of jewelry, they add auspicious animal shapes and auspicious patterns and symbols to seek for the good fortune. At present, the jewelry and accessories designed for the application of avoid evil. After interviewing, I found a conclusion, mostly with the image of gossip, symbols, Chinese style and bionics as elements of conceptual imagination. No numerology is used as a research topic. Therefore, this study uses numerology as a research topic, collated by expert interviews, and uses Peirce and Saussure's "symbolic theory" theory. A symbolic element that subclasses the sixty Jiazi of Yijing, corresponding to the phenomenon of nature applied to design. In the end, the five combinations of "Jiawu, Yiwu, Bingchen, Dinghai, and Jiuqi" are used as the elements of creation to complete the innovative design of numeracy jewelry. This study finds that the characteristics of the Yijing eight-character are different from the traditional eight-character, which makes the design more broad and is no longer limited to a few symbols such as Taiji and Gossip. The basis of life-study application reflects the social environment and the culture of life-study, the principle of change in thinking of heaven, people and land. These designs can bring new innovative ideas to the art jewelry that is shipped from domestic numerology.

Because of the advancement of medical technologies and the increase of health consciousness, more people tend to accept the idea that it’s important to identify one’s disease at the early stage of its development, in order to prevent the one from be sickened and to cure one’s disease. However, due to the insufficient items for health examinations supported by National Health Insurance (NHI) in Taiwan, the demands of self-paid health examinations are gradually increasing. To the departments of health examination in those healthcare institutions, self-paid health examinations are important items of provided services. The following questions might be important to the managers of those healthcare institutions: What are the difference of consumers’ characteristics between people willing to receive the self-paid health examination and people merely accepting items for health examinations supported by NHI? Are those personal characteristics associated with people’s born attributes like numerological numbers? To answer the questions above, the aim of this study was to understand the following things: (1) the meanings of the numerological numbers and the corresponding personal characteristics; (2) the inclinations to choose a specific self-paid health examination for consumers with different personal characteristics; (3) analysis of the reasons why consumers with different numerological numbers would choose different self-paid health examination ; Data were collected from the database of Taichung regional teaching hospital health examination center in year 2012 to 2013 and 4057 records of consumers’ data were identified after eliminating those invalid records. These consumers would be categorized into nine groups of numerological numbers; then some personal or demographical variables like gender, age, level of education, marital status, expenditure for a specific self-paid health examination and types of self-paid health examination were taken into consideration when statistical analyses were conducted. The statistical analysis applied in this study included descriptive statistics, chi-squared test and logistic regression. The results revealed that there were more male than female (52.6% : 47.4%); most consumers were in the 51-60 age bracket (31.9%); most consumers had graduated from high school (57.2%); most consumers were married (90.3%) and most consumers had paid $10001-$20000 for a specific self-paid health examination . There were 494 consumers whose numerological number was 1 (12.2%), 495 consumers whose numerological number was 2 (12.2%), 452 consumers whose numerological number was 3 (11.1%), 434 consumers whose numerological number was 4 (10.7%), 421 consumers whose numerological number was 5 (10.4%), 426 consumers whose numerological number was 6 (10.5%), 439 consumers whose numerological number was 7 (10.8%), 454 consumers whose numerological number was 8 (11.2%) and 442 consumers whose numerological number was 9 (10.9%). Those consumers with different numerological numbers were well-distributed; the proportion of each group with different numerological numbers was between 10.4% and 12.2%. Because the results of chi-squared tests revealed that the decision for a specific self-paid health examination was statistically associated with gender, age, level of education, marital status and expenditure for a specific self-paid health examination (Taking married men who had graduated from high school as an example, their choice about one-day self-paid health examination or other types of self-paid health examination was statistically associated with their ages, χ2 = 17.027, p = 0.001), the researcher tended to eliminate the impacts of those personal or demographical variables mentioned above on the association between consumers’ numerological number and consumers’ decision for a specific self-paid health examination by applying stratification in the analyses; the results showed that in some subgroups, consumers’ numerological number was statistically associated with the consumers’ inclination toward a specific self-paid health examination . Furthermore, the researcher tried to analyze the data of the subgroups which the association between consumers’ numerological number and consumers’ inclination toward a specific self-paid health examination excited by applying logistic regression analysis ; the results revealed that in some subgroups, consumers’ numerological number might be the predictor of the consumers’ inclination toward a specific self-paid health examination . Besides, due to the large amount of consumers accepting one-day self-paid health examination , the researcher tried to analyze the association between consumers’ numerological number and consumers’ inclination toward a specific self-paid health examination by logistic regression analysis while those personal or demographical variables mentioned above were also taken into consideration; the results showed that the association between consumers’ numerological number and consumers’ inclination toward a specific self-paid health examination was not statistically significant. Analyses of stratified data from consumers with different numerological number revealed that among consumers receiving one-day plus hi-tech health examination or one-day health examination , there were more consumers whose numerological number was 2 than consumers with other numerological number. Consumers whose numerological number was 2 were dualistic in nature, not willing to stay alone and being used to rely on others. It’s suggested that consumers whose numerological number was 2 like to receive the self-paid health examination with others and it might be the reason why they outnumbered customers with other numerological number. Among consumers receiving hi tech health examination or half-day health examination , there were more consumers whose numerological number was 1 than consumers with other numerological number. Consumers whose numerological number was 1 were independent in personality. It’s suggested that consumers whose numerological number was 1 cherished themselves more and were egocentric; it might be the reason why they were more willing to receive self-paid health examination . Because the specific image of a healthcare institution might influence the consumers’ choices, the reasons why consumers with different numerological number would choose different self-paid health examination might not be sufficient for explaining the consumers’ decision-making for choosing a specific self-paid health examination , they still were quick guides for understanding the consumers’ preferences toward types of self-paid health examination . More information like consumers’ socio-economical status, and the regions where the consumers reside might help the managers of healthcare institutions understand more about their customers’ personal characteristics.

Based on the Five-Phases Allelopathy Theory of Chinese numerology, this paper establishes a stock selecting model. In this study, we use the theory of the Five-Phases of Chinese numerology as the main concept of the modeling establishment, of which the five elements gold, wood, water, fire, earth’s allelopathy relations as the main concept. We use CSI 300 Constituent Stocks’ monthly data in China stock market as sampling data from 2000 to 2012, totally as 13 years. This study uses two steps to verify the use of the Five-Phases Allelopathy Theory in the China stock market. The results show that the special industry’s stocks belonging to metal-phase obtain a highest accuracy of 93.16% in sampling period from a natal numerology. And from the view of appropriate of different natal industry group in sequencing years, eight of thirteen years match partly the Five-Phases Allelopathy Theory that the average return of the high-paid group is higher than the average return of the low-paid group.

Easterner grew up under the influence of religious and beliefs, and the majority of people may have a certain degree of understanding and curiosity on Numerology and Feng Shui, no matter Tarot、Zi Wei Dou Shu、Feng Shui、Optional good day ... and so on, the way to let people making decisions for reference. Eleven years ago, the author learned in Numerology and Feng Shui and during the learning process found that many people believe Feng Shui which is for thousands of years of Chinese science, they prefer to believe it (Feng Shui), rather than disbelieve. However, the negative impact of the recent public opinion on Feng Shui, and the heart of uncertainty and the mystery of the unknown, making the people to question Numerology and Feng Shui .. Although people hold a questioning attitude, but for the peace of mind, most of them are willing to buy many features and types Feng Shui Goods. Above phenomenon, the purposes of this research are: (1) analysis of the market has been developing the kind of Feng Shui Goods meet consumers’ demands. (2) To understand the motivation of consumers to buy Feng Shui Goods culture products. (3) Investigate the consumers expected the display of culture and creative products (4) The results of this research can provide reference for the industry in the future development of Feng Shui cultural and creative products.The research collected 826 geomancy products form six online shopping channel and using structured interview, to understand the people’ attitude on the Feng Shui and doubt, and compare and analyze the result. The author summarized from the statistics, according to research purposes, there are four conclusions in this research: (1) the features of Feng Shui goods in the current market roughly fit consumer’ demands. (2) The consumers will buy Feng Shui cultural and creative goods according to their personal situation (3) People look forward more Feng Shui culture and creative products designed with sense of beauty and practicality(4) the business should get balance between traditional function of Feng Shui goods and fashion design when developing Feng Shui cultural and creative products.There are six suggestions are summarized (1) business could cooperate with Trendy brand to develop Feng Shui cultural and creative products. (2) to enhance the usefulness of Feng Shui related products (3) based on local characteristics to develop relevant cultural and creative goods (4) geomancy industry should have basic knowledge of Feng Shui (5) increased diversification of sales channels (6) to establish network platform with functional classification (7) Feng Shui goods industry need to have business ethics

In this study, seven small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) that have been established for more than six years and have been verified by the eight-character numerology for more than three years are used as case studies to explore the use of eight-character numerology in SMEs. And supplemented with a semi-structured interview outline to gather the information needed for this study. The interviewees were mainly business operators, with a total of seven. Through interviews, we learned about the motivations, purposes, methods, dilemmas and response methods of the seven SMEs who used the eight-character numerology. Finally, we discussed the impact on employees and the impact on the company, and discussed the research results. According to the research findings, the conclusions are summarized as follows: 1. The motivation of small and medium-sized enterprises to use the eight-character numerology to select talents, including the satisfaction and performance of the selected employees, low employee cooperation is a hidden resistance in task execution, the improper use of the employer, such as asking God to send the gods easily, the content of the resume has the authenticity problem, and the general evaluation tools are not easy to measure hidden areas and other factors. 2. The purpose of SMEs in using the eight-character numerology is to analyze the selection and prediction of the eight-character numerology to select the talented and highly-adapted employees, which is more important than the academic experience and ability, and to improve the effectiveness of the selection to reduce the number of people who are employed wrongly. Improve the fit of internal employees and other factors. 3. SMEs use the eight-character numerology to select the talents, including the analysis of the applicants life chart through professional numerology teachers, the analysis of the applicants life chart by the business operators themselves, and the exploration of the core personal personality traits of the applicants to improve the interview efficiency. 4. SMEs are faced with difficulties in the use of eight-character numerology, covering the need to evaluate the applicants lifeline through a special person, the professionalism of the numerology teacher to influence the interpretation results, the inability to quantify the impact of the evaluator on the eight characters, and the number of people who can be notified of the interview. Factors such as the separation of talents between business operators and supervisors, and the fact that new employees still do not adapt to the restrictions of the company system. 5. The way in which small and medium-sized enterprises use the eight-character numerology to face the dilemma includes the collection of interviews and numerology related materials reference evidence, reserve talent, spend more time looking for suitable candidates to improve the quality of talent, the conflict between the applicant and the employer or supervisor The strong tends not to use, moderate manpower adjustment and provide labor environment and resources to meet employees and other factors. 6. The impact of SMEs use of eight-character numerology on employees has covered the staff can spontaneously complete the goal task, the potential characteristics of the play in the work, enlighten the staffs internal learning motivation, and strive to be affirmed to improve work efficiency and other factors. 7. The influence of small and medium-sized enterprises on the companys use of eight-character numerology includes high adaptability of new employees, low turnover rate, and the concept of employers and employees to improve loyalty and retention, improve the effectiveness of education and training, improve management effectiveness and reduce manpower. Management costs, selection of talents to improve operational performance, extension of the use of characters in the companys operations and internal management and other factors Finally, based on the above findings, this study provides specific recommendations for SMEs, job seekers, and future research.

In recent years, the discussion of the topic of numerology which public is mentioning and also acquainting has become a new concept. It is spread by the mass media, such as television and internet. Therefore, it is a new choice except the horoscope and other constellation as well; its connotation includes the exploration of the meaning of life and the key to open the secret of mind. 　　The digital meaning which is contrasted with the textual analysis of numerology probes the significance, goal and value of therapeutics, and it provides the connotation and the material of self-understanding. Moreover, it abounds the life span of self-realization in self-awareness. The research method is based on the comparative research method of Shen Qingsong, and investigated by Chinese works. In order to study the difference between the numerology systems in Taiwan through the documentary, the three authorings "Born to Learn", "Your Life Map in Numbers" and "Numbers Cipher of Life" are the main comparisons from the traditional factional and "number of lives (main life)" and "number of births" are the primary reference value. 　　The result of the comparison text shows that the three authorings above are the references books for beginners to get started and learn about numerology. The different parts are the love commentary from "Born to Learn" and the unique concepts such as the number of restrictions, the number of vacancies and the digital energy method from "Numbers Cipher of Life" The similarities show the deep breadth of the analytic numerology and the constellation image. Hope the numerology can provide relevant researchers a clearer outline, and the former can become another facilities for self-growth, helping others and self-awareness.

Based on the research motivation, purpose and literature discussion theory, this study explore the physiological relationship between rainbow Numerology and four-warmer for human body. Through the calculation method of Gregorian calendar the birthday number of rainbow Numerology, the person with the main “life path number”1-9 is taken as the research object, and the physiologically relevant conditions of the human body's upper warmer, middle warmer, lower warmer and outer warmer are obtained through qualitative interviews. Quantitative design questionnaires were established and research hypotheses were established. During the period from May 10 to September 30, 2018. There are 500 samples, including 466 valid ones. The SPSS statistical software was used for analysis. According to the results of the research, it is found that the human body with four-warmer physiological imbalance will produce the highest frequency of symptoms in life path number 7, 1, and 3 and the lowest frequency of symptoms in life path number 2. The table 2-5-2 shown, life path number 7, it corresponds to the human meridian system and the human body four-warmer. In this study, the data is more accurate, once the person (life path number 7) is physiologically unbalanced, the human body has a chain effect along with the meridian and the upper-warmer, the middle-warmer, the lower-warmer, and the outer-warmer. Therefore, the person with the main life path number 7 in the cross analysis appears to have a high frequency of symptoms. Hope that rainbow Numerology and human body four- warmer physiological relationship supported by data science research, this study found that it can be used as a reference for researchers and users of rainbow Numerology, expecting future researchers to join deeper new element research, and Increasing the sample data makes the study of rainbow Numerology and human body four- warmer physiological connection more complete and more precise. In the past few years, the economy grows rapidly. Enterprises are in urgent need of talent replenishment. The biggest issue now is to find the right person with a limited budget. In order for the numerology tools to be used in recruiting talent, it is necessary to create a teaching design model, which is ADDIE from Workforce Development Agency, Ministry of Labor to plan and design Competency-Based Program, and to shorten the learning gap. There are three purposes for this study. First, to establish enterprise managers are Occupational Competency Standard. The second is to confirm the importance of the recruitment, skilled as a function evaluation of the weight reference. The third propose training map and course suggestion for recruiting Numerology tools application. The object of this study is that enterprises managers who are in charge of recruitment in Taiwan. A total of 50 questionnaires were distributed, and 34 valid questionnaires were returned, resulting in a return rate of 70. In conclusion, based on our findings, This research has created the providing a reference report for future in future resources in the academic and industrial fields to foster more high quality human resources consecutive training on related competencies.

In the Study, four Chinese and a western numerologies were used upon stock selection strategy using Nikkei 225 Index's Component Stocks as sample during the period from January 4, 2000 to December 28, 2012. The adjusting monthly closing stock price were used as the sample data through the Rolling-Window Method, End monthly, quarterly, half yearly and yearly. All date are examined by Bagua School, Meihuayishu School, Digital Magnetic Field School , Shinjuku School and Number Future, sampling stocks were classified as good and bad group against numeric data, I further incorporated with the test analysis applied on the rate of return in monthly, quarterly, half yearly and yearly, to verify if separately classified good/bad group the rate of return was listed in the order of good/bad from high to low. The empirical results indicated that grouped stocks by Bagua School, Meihuayishu School, Digital Magnetic Field and Shinjuku School were not listed the order of good/bad from high to low.Only grouped stocks by Number Future was listed in the order of good/bad from high to low. The result showed that it is possible to serve number numerology as the referable base in the investment of selection strategy on Nikkei 225 Index's component stocks.

A Study of Entrepreneurial Management Model of Adult Supplementary Education Industry-A Case Study of a Numerology Cram School Abstract By interviewing the entrepreneurs and founding teams of a numerology cram school, this study learned the difficulties and coping strategies in the career development course from the perspective of entrepreneurs. The operating project of the case was the teacher training on the numerology teaching of Chinese Astrology. Most of the students knew the numerology out of interest motivations and then turned it into a professional intention. Through the early stage, initial stage and development stage of the new business, it can be found that the entrepreneurial resources and factors in each stage keep changing and make breakthroughs accordingly. Therefore, the proportion of entrepreneurial factors in entrepreneurial management model can be set to develop new business. This case study discussed entrepreneurs’ application of entrepreneurial factors during the entrepreneurship stages and illustrated how the entrepreneurial management model is applied into adult supplementary education industry. The results are as follows: 1. Adult supplementary education industry is a service industry. The entrepreneurial factors include entrepreneurs, teaching group and core resources. The entrepreneurial management model can be divided into four entrepreneurial stages for the assessment of entrepreneurial factors. 2. The adults’ learning demands in external environment contributes to the entrepreneurial opportunity in adult supplementary education industry. 3. In the early stage of starting a business, the entrepreneurs take the initiative to strive for opportunities because of their personal traits and turn their interests into entrepreneurial motivation. 4. In the initial stage of starting a business, the compositional model and features of the founding team affect the development of the organization. 5. In the development stage of new business, entrepreneurs’ application of resources, the development of core teaching materials and the strategic objectives of human resource development form the core competitive advantages of the organization. 6. The entrepreneurial performance will be checked after the entrepreneurial process is divided into stages, which is conducive to understand the entrepreneurial management model and analyze the core value of the organization. The study proposed specific suggestions respectively for entrepreneurs of adult supplementary education industry, entrepreneurs of the case and future researchers in the hope of giving references for people who intend to start a business or entrepreneurs so as to learn about the features of adult supplementary education industry and the application of entrepreneurial factors in entrepreneurial management model.

Socrates once said to his disciples that, life doesn’t have a second choice (Gong Xun, 2009). There are so many turning points on life journey, and we are often faced with choices, some of which are as easy as choosing yellow or blue shirt today, while some will determine the success or failure in the future once decided. When facing an important decision, some can make the decision without hesitation. Maybe these people are born with luck or insightful eyes, but not everyone is so lucky to make the right decision. Therefore, making good use of tool can facilitate us to make a more perfect decision. This study attempts to explore whether numerology is predictable to the three dimensions of personality traits, work characteristics and work competence. Based on the study hypotheses, it designs questionnaires and distributes them to the 60 information personnel in Hsinchu and Neihu Science Park to conduct a questionnaire survey. Based on the investigation results, the numerological experts analyze the destiny net of the respondents and fill in the same questionnaires to conduct verification by paired sample T test of statistical method. After empirical analysis, the study obtains the results as summarized below: I. In the part of personality traits, the numerology and astrology have significant predictability to personality traits, among which two items show lower predictability, but still have reference value. II. In the part of work characteristics and work competence, the results show great difference. However, in the prediction of numerology in these two parts, most items still have reference value. The items with low significance indicate the questionnaires filled by the respondents don’t show significant difference with the situation analyzed from the destiny net by the experts, which includes such items as keeping busy working status all the time, acting in accordance with one’s conscience, believing the job is stable enough, telling others what to do, satisfying the payments and workloads, being content with the bonus gained from outstanding work performance, gaining sense of achievements from the work, etc. For those who don’t take the posts suggested by the experts, the analysis and prediction results of the work competence are inconsistent with the questionnaire results. However, if the respondents with different posts take the posts suggested by the experts, they will show high work competence, good work performance and high work satisfaction.

This is an exploratory study which first attempt to combine the traditional Chinese fortune-telling technique and the study of name with the past-life hypnotherapy used in Western Psychiatry, using in a practical work of helping others. The study is aim to explore the influences on body, mind and soul healing of the cases by passing through the integrated helping model of numerology counseling (fortunetelling, name-changing) and past-life hypnosis experiences, as well as the influences of the counseling healing relationship between help seekers and helping workers of numerology and hypnosis on this integrated helping model. By a long-term observation on fortune-telling and hypnosis fields, the researcher applied purposeful sampling of a qualitative study, selecting people who had experienced two or more numerology counseling (fortunetelling, name-changing) and past-life hypnosis experiences as the objects, at least after more than three months for the time-tested, adopting the retrospective in-depth interview to collect the contextual data from 11 respondents. Then, according to three dimensions of body (physical illness), mind (personality and thought, feelings and marriage, parent-child and interpersonal relationships, career and money, self-confidence and self-worth), as well as soul and spirituality (communication with dead family members, blueprint for the future, religion and spirituality), the synthetic theme analysis was carried out. 　 　　The findings of this study show that the assistance experiences of numerology counseling (fortunetelling, name-changing) and past-life hypnosis for most cases on body, mind and soul healing have an obvious positive influence. According to the overall study, the conclusions are made divided into two major parts as following. 　 　　I. Numerology consulting (fortunetelling, name-changing) and past-life hypnosis on the influence of body, mind and soul healing: 1. In the physical aspect, fortunetelling only shows the weak part of the health, unable to provide treatment directly, but plays the role of drawing attention for the cases. Root lesions could be found through past-life hypnosis, most of the symptoms could be improved after releasing the cell memory off. 2. In the mental aspect, fortunetelling and divination could help guide the direction for the cases on the consciousness, stay out of trouble, and know what they are. Past-life hypnosis could change the original cognitive judgments of the cases in the subconscious, help them understand the causes and release their mind, will to put down, and know why they are. Research evidences from the text show that both past and present life are relevant about all the information on person (body, personality, habits, feelings and relationships), things (events and processes, business), and property (money). Name-changing is a strong positive self-implied, having a significant impact about the change in personality, interpersonal relationships, as well as improving self-confidence, increasing wealth, that is the fastest affect of the three methods on changing fortune. 3. In the soul and spiritual aspect, hypnosis into the soul palace could help adjust the fortune about all aspects of body, mind and soul, also could assist in dealing with the infant spirits, communicate with dead family members, its effectiveness is similar to grief counseling. To predict the future by fortunetelling and hypnosis could enhance self-confidence, and increase hope for the future. The spiritual activities could be opened through hypnosis, both fortune-telling and hypnosis could help find the life lesson or mission. The experiences in the integrated helping model could enough to cover the full body, mind and soul healing for all problems, and have the greatest help, too. 　 　　II. The influences of the counseling healing relationship between help seekers and helping workers on the integrated helping model of numerology counseling (fortunetelling, name-changing) and past-life hypnosis: 1. 90% of the help seekers in this study were female, reasons for seeking help were the problem of mind and soul mostly. They came for help most because of their feelings problems, parent-child relationships and predicting the future were the next. The characteristics of the help seekers mostly were not to accept fate, to take the initiative in seeking help, with insecurity about the future, lacking self-confidence, and with bad fortune as well as encountering a dilemma. 2. The cases expect that the helping workers of numerology and hypnosis could help to achieve the goals such as solving the problems, understanding the causes and releasing their mind, realizing the fate and creating a new life, with self-confidence to the future, and completing the life lesson. 3. The agreement with the integrated helping model as well as the trust with fortunetellers and hypnotists by the cases are the key to success of the helping work. 　 　　Based on the findings, we provide some concrete suggestions for future research in order to provide the reference for relevant helping workers in the future as counseling.

Por esta razão, uma parte significativa da população urbana tem vindo a procurar espaços rurais que, para além de contraporem o ambiente caótico que é característico da cidade, melhoram a relação entre o homem e a natureza, proporcionando momentos de tranquilidade e bem-estar. Alguns autores relacionam ainda o espaço rural com a espiritualidade e admitem que esta está diretamente relacionada com o aumento da qualidade de vida das populações (Levin, 1994; Pargament & Hahn, 1986; Saad, Masiero, & Battistella, 2001). É neste âmbito que, cada vez mais, têm sido construídos espaços multifuncionais de caráter terapêutico inseridos em meio rural. A presente dissertação tem como objetivo o desenvolvimento de uma proposta de arquitetura paisagista para a Quinta das Hortas da Barca, no concelho de Serpa, região do Alentejo que enalteça a relação entre Homem-Natureza-Espiritualidade.
The relationship between man and the city nowadays results in symptoms of stress, health problems, among others. For this reason, a significant part of the urban population has been looking for rural spaces that, in addition to counteracting the chaotic environment that is characteristic of the city, improve the relationship between man and nature, providing moments of tranquillity and well-being. Some authors also relate countryside with spirituality and admit that it is directly related to the increase of the population's quality of life (Levin, 1994; Pargament & Hahn, 1986; Saad, Masiero, & Battistella, 2001). In this context that, several multifunctional therapeutic spaces have been built in rural areas. This dissertation aims to develop a landscape architecture proposal for Quinta das Hortas da Barca, in Serpa, Alentejo region that enhances the relationship between Man-Nature-Spirituality.
