Abstract:

Karya tari “Nyai Dasima” terinspirasi dari ketertarikan penata untuk membuat karya tari bernuansa Betawi dengan bekal pengetahuan tentang tari Betawi yang pernah dipelajari penata. Selain itu juga karena ketertarikan penata terhadap salah satu cerita rakyat yang sudah melegenda di Jakarta tentang tokoh Nyai Dasima yang ditulis oleh S.M Ardan dalam bukunya berjudul “Nyai Dasima”.Ketertarikan tersebut menjadi dorongan bagi penata untuk mewujudkan cerita Nyai Dasima yang ditulis oleh S.M Ardan untuk diwujudkan dalam bentuk karya seni pertunjukan khususnya karya tari. Karya tari ini memvisualisasikan sosok Nyai Dasima dan cerita cinta segitiga yang membawa petaka bagi dirinya.Karya tari ini diciptakan dalam koreografi kelompok dengan 13 penari yang terdiri dari empat penari wanita dan sembilan penari laki-laki. Karya tari ini dipentaskan di dalam ruang pertunjukan proscenium stage dengan setting yang mendukung karya ini. Jenis musik yang digunakan untuk mendukung karya tari ini adalah live music. Lewat karya ini penata ingin menyampaikan bahwa tidak selalu sebutan “Nyai” memiliki konotasi negatif khususnya dalam cerita Nyai Dasima.

Abstract:

Namibia is a semi-arid country and underground water sources have proven to be reliable water sources for drought-prone countries. Underground water has the ability to sustain conservation activities as long as water infrastructure is in place and maintained. Despite the different water requirements for the wildlife species, water remains an essential component of wildlife management in Namibia. Therefore, this study aims at understanding utilization of water points by various wildlife species in the Nyae Nyae conservancies, which is located in the north-eastern part of Namibia. This study used monitoring data from wildlife counts that are conducted by the Conservancy annually at water points coupled with key-informant interviews with local conservancy members and leaders as well as some stakeholders. The study shows that the Conservancy had a diverse number of wildlife species that were predominantly ungulates (70%). These species were detected at 29 water points distributed across the Conservancy. Most of the water points in the conservancy were artificial points with water drawn from the underground water sources, while a few of the water points were pans (17%). Water resources are very important resources for conservation, not only in terms of being used by wildlife but also in terms of being used to provide an indication of species diversity in the conservation.

Negara pun telah mengatur bagaimana agar sebuah perkawinan dapat dilakukan secara sah.Bukan hanya itu, negara juga menata aturan agar semua pernikahan dicatat. Sehingga jalinan pernikahan itu memiki perlindungan hukum, baik di dalam maupun di luar pengadilan.

Abstrak Artikel ini berjudul “Gerakan Sosio-Intelektual: Nyai Khoiriyah Hasyim. Penelitian studi tokoh ini menggunakan metode kualitatif model interaktif, memakai pisau analisis sosial dan wawancara mendalam. Kemudian di elaborasi dengan kepustakaan yang terkait. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa kontribusi Nyai Khoiriyah Hasyim di lingkungan masyarakat dan pesantren terlihat memperjuangkan dua gerakan yaitu gerakan di bidang pendidikan dan gerakan di bidang sosial kemasyarakatan. Melalui kacamata kesetaraan gender pemikiran Nyai Khoiriyah Hasyim terhadap isu kesetaraan gender terbilang progresif dimasanya. Dampak dari gerakan dan pemikiran tersebut Nyai Khoiriyah Hasyim mampu melahirkan generasi santri yang unggul dalam bidang pendidikan, sosial, politik maupun budaya. Abstract This article is entitled "Socio-Intellectual Movement: Nyai Khoiriyah Hasyim." This character study research uses a qualitative interactive model method, using a social analysis knife and in-depth interviews. Then elaborated with related literature. The results of this study indicate that the contribution of Nyai Khoiriyah Hasyim in the community and pesantren is seen to fight for two movements, namely the movement in the field of education and the movement in the social sector. Through the perspective of gender equality, Nyai Khoiriyah Hasyim's thoughts on the issue of gender equality were somewhat progressive in his time. The impact of this movement and thought, Nyai Khoiriyah Hasyim, was able to produce a generation of santri who were superior in the fields of education, social, politics and culture.

Abstract:

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui dan mendeskripsikan persepsi wisatawan terhadap wisata kuliner ikan mujair nyat-nyat di Desa Kedisan, Kecamatan Kintamani, Kabupaten Bangli. Metode penelilitian yang digunakan adalah metode kuantitatif. Data dikumpulkan dengan cara observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Observasi. Setelah dipaparkan nilai dengan skala likert, data dianalisis menggunakan teknik deskriptif kuantitatif, yaitu metode yang menguraikan berbagai data yang terkumpul secara logis sehingga dapat ditarik suatu kesimpulan serta didukung analisis rata-rata terimbang untuk menjawab perumusan masalah. Berdasarkan hasil pembahasan dan analisis data pada bab sebelumnya dapat diambil kesimpulan bahwa persepsi wisatawan terhadap kualitas makanan ikan mujair nyat-nyat di Desa Kedisan, Kecamatan Kintamani, Kabupaten Bangli adalah baik, begitu pula dengan sumber daya manusia dan pelayanannya, namun cukup dari segi hygiene dan sanitasi

Abstract:

The practice of nyai began in Indonesia in the 17th century when the Dutch colonizers began strengthening their foothold there. A nyai is none other than a concubine or a mistress to a foreigner, especially a European. The nyai were a group of women who were exploited during the Dutch occupation. To what extent was a nyai merely a sexual object to colonizers, and is associated with the use of force which was prevalent in the patriarchal Javanese society? Did the nyai voice their rights? Did the authorities care about their hardship? This essay shall analyse these issues using the approach of Gayatri Chakravorty Spivak’s subaltern studies, which puts foward the concept of subaltern women as oppressed women without a voice. Although others could voice the problems on their behalf, this is not the voice of subaltern women themselves as the party that voices out their problems may have other interests. This analysis is of subaltern women in Pramoedya Ananta Toer’s novel This Earth of Mankind ( Bumi Manusia ). This study confirms that Nyai Ontosoroh is a subaltern woman in two types of society, i.e. patriarchal and colonial society. She is manipulated for the interests of men and for colonizers. Nyai Ontosoroh can be taken to be an example of the exploitation of women in a patriarchal society. Nyai Ontosoroh herself attempts to voice out her rights as a daughter and a mother. Patriarchal and colonial groups continually deny subaltern women like Nyai Ontosoroh their rights. Keywords: subaltern women, patriarchy, nyai , colonialism

Abstract:

This study discusses the syntactic marker {-nya} in Indonesian, and aims at finding the answers to the three research questions; (i) what hosts can be appended by {-nya},(ii)what syntactic functions can be filled by {-nya}, and (iii) what is the meaning of {-nya}contextually. The data to support the analysis was collected from the source with the help of a data collection tool [antconc3.2.1w window2007]. Two theories are relevant to the discussion of {-nya}, namely; morphosyntactic theory that searched the occurrence of {-nya} in a text and discourse theory to discover the meaning of {-nya} contextually.The result of analysis showed three occurrence of {-nya}; pronoun clitics, determiner, and as adverbial formation. As a core argument {-nya} can be attached to the nasal verbs, passive verbs, zero intransitive verbs, and category of nouns, prepositions, and reflexive pronouns. As adverbial formation {-nya} is attached to the adjective, bound root, and is combined with {se-} to form confix {se-baik-nya}. As pronoun, {-nya} can serve as; Grammatical Subjects and Objects, Possessive determiner, Oblique Agent, Reflexive pronoun. As determiner it is always attached to the noun, forming nouns from verbs, and as an adverbial it can serve as an adjunct, conjunct, and disjunct. The meaning of {-nya} with pronominal category should be traced in the text and always refers to the third person singular. Keywords: syntactic markers, pronouns, argument, adverbial, discourse

Abstract:

The –nya clitic is discussable in terms of not only microlinguisctic domains (phonology, morphology and syntax) but also macrolinguistic perspectives like pragmatics and sociolinguistics. In terms of microlinguistics, there are three important findings of the –nya clitic structure : it can appear (a) as a genitive form, (b) as a definite marker, and (c) as a third person pronoun attached to different word categories (verbs, adjectives, and adverbs). Pragmatically speaking, the –nya clitic can distinguish ‘the old information’ from ‘the new one’ overtly and covertly. From the sociolinguistic point of view the –nya clitic is functioned to avoid the use of the second person that directly threatens the interlocutor’s face. The –nya clitic is also used to measure the degree of closeness between the addresser and the addressee (speech participants): the use of -nya indicates closer relationship (as in bukunya mana?), whereas the use of second person forms indicates formality (as in Dimana Buku Anda?). In informal situations, the speaker tends to choose the third person–nya as a marked form instead of the second person forms such as Anda, kamu, Saudara, Bapak, Ibu, and Dik, which are unmarked. Therefore, the –nya clitic is grammatically, pragmatically, and sociolinguistically very dynamic in different speech registers.
