Full textThis dissertation aims to evaluate the process management in a research and development institution as one of the strategic objectives of its management model, as well as to identify its level of evolution and characteristics in comparison to a company guided by process. The present case study was accomplished in the National Agricultural Instrumentation Research Center CNPDIA, one of the forty units of research of the Brazilian Agricultural Research Corporation Embrapa, research and development institution linked to the Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock and Food Supply, one of the largest institutions of research of the tropical world, present in almost all the States of the Federation, in the most different ecological conditions, contributing to the success of the agribusiness and of the maintainable development. A bibliographical revision on the importance of the process management for a strategic vision was carried out. The main differences between companies structured by function and companies structured by process and also the main difficulties of a transition for process were investigated. Through the analysis of documents and reports presented by the company, interviews related to the theme with managers and employees of the company, and the study of the Model of Strategic Management MGE - adopted, in which interferes the process management as one of its strategic objectives and confronting with the theory, this case study evaluated as the company is structuring to meet to the needs and challenges presented in that context of changes, which force the organizations reanalyze and readjust their management models and their organizational structures to maintain itself alive in that competitive environment. The results obtained in this research demonstrate that the unit, although presenting several indicative of change of organizational structure for more flexible models, it is going by a transition phase, characterizing a learning for all involved them and, mainly, that the resistances presented to that new management model proposed they are being reduced for consequence of the adoption of the concepts and of the largest knowledge on the part of the executives and employees, on the approach of process.

Full textThis research project presents a proposed model of Knowledge Management to implement it in plastic manufacturing MYPEs sector. This proposal has been developed from the study of good engineering practices midsize companies in the plastics sector in Metropolitan Lima. It has chosen the study of midsize businesses, because it is reduced in quantity but it is more developed than the MYPEs category. In case of the plastics industry, the industry has high economic potential for growth. It is intended that the model is a methodological guide for MYPEs in the plastics sector to promote its competitiveness and facilitate its sustainability, so they can evolve successfully in medium. This is supported in the current contribution of these companies to the economic development of nations. For the development of the model, it has reviewed the existing literature on the implementation of knowledge management systems in medium enterprises in developing countries and the benefits they can achieve. From the revised models, the model of the Creative Knowledge Organization, proposed by Nonaka and Takeuchi, and the dimensions of Knowledge Management were considered. It has also taken into account the information gathered from research to nine plastic medium enterprises of Metropolitan Lima through surveys to learn how managed the process of knowledge management. The research project consists of six chapters. In the first, it researched data about medium Peruvian companies in the plastics sector and Knowledge Management concepts, from scientific articles and other publications. For the second chapter, the general and specific diagnosis of activities related to knowledge management in the surveyed companies is reviewed. In the third, it developed the proposed Knowledge Management for MYPEs and the characteristics of process management tools developed model. In chapter four, the validation of the model is presented, from consulting experts. In chapter five, the potential impacts of the implementation of the model are formulated. Finally, in the last chapter, the conclusions and recommendations of this project are made.

Full textThe competitive environment and globalization has been provoking changes in the strategies of companies, often leading to an internationalization process. The companies seek to internationalize themselves according to their strategic objectives, to which a strategy of internationalization will be traced. Leaving your environment to an unknown country means that the company is subject to certain risks and therefore requires a strategy that assesses the risks involved in establishing itself in a particular country. Knowing these risks will enable the company to mitigate or even eliminate the risks involved. Regardless of the process of entry into another country, there will always be the issue of risk. Usually, when a company decides to internationalize, it opts for the first time through the export process, where it will have to deal with various types of risk in its managerial decisions to reach its strategic objectives. Therefore, this research was conducted with eighty-four Brazilian companies in the state of São Paulo, with sales of up to 10 million dollars listed in Confederação Nacional da Indústria (CNI). The objective of the study was to understand how and what risks involved in the internationalization of Brazilian exporting companies influence the strategy and the strategic objectives in the internationalization of exporting companies. But even this process depending on the intensity of export the company will be subject to risk because it is unknown to the host country. Therefore, this research was carried out with Brazilian export companies, whose objective was to investigate the influence of the risks involved in the internationalization of Brazilian exporting companies on the strategy of internationalization and strategic objectives. For the analysis of the research was used the technique of modeling of structural equations based on variance, where a survey was used to collect data. Four hypotheses were generated, three related to risk and strategy and one related to strategy and risk. As a result, two hypotheses were confirmed and therefore two rejected. This research contributes with scientific knowledge, because in addition to verifying the risks that influence the strategy and strategic objectives, it brings the concept of involving not only financial risks but also the risk of the environment, sector and the company in the strategy for internationalization.

Full textEm geral, gestores de projetos bem como organizações que prestam serviços na área de testes de software, não têm conhecimento do quão eficiente são seus times devido à escassez de informações para este tipo de atividade. No âmbito das fábricas de testes, algum conhecimento tem sido gerado ao longo dos anos dentro deste modelo de prestação de serviços a fim de verificar de que forma estas organizações podem aumentar sua competitividade através do aumento da sua eficiênca e demosntração de agregação de valor ao cliente dentro do mercado de testes. A real eficiência de um time, de um recurso ou de um projeto deve ser uma medida que contemple diversos fatores e esses devem estar devidamente alinhados aos objetivos estratégicos do cliente de forma a assegurar que o que está sendo medido é o que realmente agrega e que trará resultados concretos para o cliente. Apesar de alguns modelos de avaliação e melhoria de desempenho organizacional poderem ser aplicados neste cenário por se preocupar com o alinhamento estratégico e apresentar método de desdobramento de objetivos em indicadores, não há uma abordagem específica voltada para as necessidades inerentes ao modelo de fábricas de testes. Neste contexto, este trabalho propõe um modelo de aferição da eficiência de projetos em fábricas de testes, o qual se baseia em modelos de avaliação de desempenho organizacionais, porém com foco específico em testes. Ele parte dos objetivos estratégicos da organização até chegar em um índice de eficiência do projeto que englobe os aspectos de influência sobre ele. Para avaliar a aplicabilidade industrial do modelo proposto, foi realizado um estudo de campo com projetos de testes em uma organização real. A partir deste estudo, foram obtidos os índices de eficiência que permitiram a comparação entre os projetos bem como a análise sobre o desempenho dos projetos individualmente

Full textIt is necessary to be clear about what to do and how to do so that a company meets the expectation of the market in which it operates , and do so profitably . Thus, the definition of a strategy becomes highly relevant in the competitive environment of business. Once defined its strategy, the company has an even greater challenge: its implementation. The implementation of a strategy, on the other hand, to succeed, needs to be constantly monitored, since it requires a large organizational synchrony involving all its departments. In this context, this study has developed a method of strategic management, from the alignment of business processes with the strategic objectives of an organization, based on the concepts of Balanced Scorecard and Business Process Management. This method was applied in a dealership of automotive vehicles, segment of trucks and buses, and the objectives achieved in this work demonstrated the method's ability to contribute to a better strategic and operational performance.

Full textA proper organization of the strategic objectives can ensure the most appropriate implementation, thus increasing the satisfaction of those responsible for setting corporate strategy. This doctoral dissertation aims to propound a typology of techniques for organizing strategic objectives and analyse the use of elements of this typology in the implementation of corporate strategies. Several authors addressed concepts for organizing strategic objectives that allowed grouping five techniques according to the central concepts that best represented what authors reported. The techniques considered for organizing corporate strategic objectives are: Management by Objectives (MBO), Balanced Scorecard (BSC), essentially Financial Goals, Intuitive/Creative Process and Participatory Process. These five techniques were organized according to a typology that covers, in a first axis, the level of participation of different organizational levels in the application of technical and strategic process, and on the other axis, the level of formalization and structuring technique. In the field survey, conducted with 289 valid responses, all respondents chose one of the five options of typology as a technique for organizing strategic objectives for their business, enhancing the scope and usefulness of the typology. Of the five techniques, the BSC was the most utilized. Although the sample indicates its use in all sizes of enterprise, the BSC was highlighted by being most used in companies with revenues exceeding R$ 1 billion. Features such as dissemination of the strategy throughout the organization, contribution to communication, broader range of objectives, among others, could also be proven. The MBO, the oldest technique studied in this dissertation, was highlighted by the largest number of strategic objectives successfully implemented, while the technique of Financial Objectives was the second most indicated by respondents and its main feature was as the technique that uses more \"Value Generation\" goals. The characteristics of the Participatory technique confirmed in the survey were the participation of respondents in all the strategic process and the dissemination of the strategy throughout the organization, which is boosted by the broad participation in the strategic process. Furthermore, this technique presented as a result, a larger number of strategic objectives implemented successfully. Finally, the Intuitive technique was characterized as the most used by respondents from companies with revenue under BRL$ 1 billion and the smallest number of strategic objectives. The research was able to show that the use of objective aids strategic implementation, and in particular, could show the most relevant characteristics of each type of technique and how they are being applied in corporations.

Full textO presente estudo teve como objetivo analisar as Práticas de Gestão de Recurso Humanos de algumas Organizações certificadas pela Norma Portuguesa 4427 – “Sistemas de Gestão de Recursos Humanos – requisitos” (NP 4427:2004), mais precisamente, o CENFIM e o Grupo CH. Teve também como objetivo verificar a importância e o impacto da implementação da respetiva Norma interna e externamente, analisar a relevância ou irrelevância da Norma NP 4427:2004 nas Práticas de Gestão de Recursos Humanos dessas Organizações, identificar se essas Organizações já implementaram outras Normas, tais como ISO 9001:2008, ISO 14001:2004 e NP 4397:2008 e compreender a sua compatibilidade. Para tal, optou-se por realizar uma investigação de natureza qualitativa e experimental, abordando várias áreas, as quais, Qualidade, Gestão de Recursos Humanos, Norma Portuguesa 4427:2004, Sistemas Integrados de Gestão da Qualidade, Ambiente, Segurança e Responsabilidade Social. Do ponto de vista metodológico, foi utilizada a metodologia de estudo multi-caso, em duas Organizações, recorrendo-se a algumas técnicas de recolha de informação que passaram pela entrevista aos Responsáveis de Recursos Humanos e a um elemento que participou e colaborou nas reuniões preliminares do grupo de trabalho que elaborou a NP 4427:2004 e pela análise de conteúdo. Os resultados obtidos indicam que as Organizações em estudo desenvolvem todas as Práticas Estratégicas de Gestão de Recursos Humanos, enquanto que antes de se certificarem pela Norma Portuguesa 4427:2004 não o faziam na sua totalidade. A principal razão porque as Organizações optaram pela Certificação foi devido a um objetivo estratégico por forma a envolverem toda a estrutura e também por forma a conseguirem dar resposta às exigências do mercado. A Norma permitiu também uma maior sistematização das metodologias de trabalho e um maior acompanhamento dos processos internos. Ambas as Organizações em estudo consideram que a Certificação integrada é uma forma de reconhecimento externo, na medida em que valida as metodologias de trabalho interno. Neste sentido, a Certificação nesta Norma de Recursos Humanos foi algo que naturalmente fazia sentido na estrutura das respetivas Organizações.
Abstract: This study aimed to analyze the practices of Human Resource Management Organizations certified by some Portuguese Standard 4427 - "Systems of Human Resource Management - Requirements" (NP 4427: 2004), more precisely, the CENFIM and the CH GROUP. It also had the objective to verify the importance and the impact of the implementation of the respective internal standard and externally, analyze the relevance or irrelevance of the NP 4427: 2004 in the Practice of Human Resource Management of these Organizations, identify whether these Organizations have already implemented other standards, such as ISO 9001: 2008, ISO 14001: 2004 and NP 4397: 2008 and understand their compatibility. To this end it was decided to conduct an investigation of qualitative and experimental nature, addressing several areas, which, Quality, Human Resource Management, Portuguese Standard 4427: 2004, Integrated Systems of Quality, Environment, Safety and Social Responsibility. From a methodological point of view, multi-case study methodology was used in two organizations, making use of some data collection techniques that have gone through the interview to the leaders of Human Resources and to an element that participated and collaborated in the preliminary meetings the working group that drafted the NP 4427: 2004 and the content analysis. The results indicate that organizations develop study in all Strategic Practice of Human Resource Management, whereas before they are satisfied by the Portuguese Standard 4427: 2004 did not do so in its entirety. The main reason why organizations have chosen certification was due to a strategic objective in order to involve the entire structure and also in order to get to meet the market requirements. The Standard also allowed a more systematic working methods and further monitoring of internal processes. Both organizations under study consider that the integrated Certification is a form of external recognition, in that it validates the methodologies of internal work. In this sense, this Standard Certification of Human Resources was something that naturally made sense in the structure of their organizations.
