Ocular surface disease (OSD) and glaucoma are common comorbidities in the same patient. Thus, the long-term instillation of topical intraocular pressure lowering drops induces changes in the ocular surface. For this, we have realized a cross-sectional study of 52 patients, collected at the ophthalmology department of the Hassan II University Hospital Center at Fez, Morocco. We have included all patients with glaucoma or ocular hypertonia on hypotonizing treatment for at least 06 months. They have answered the Ocular Surface Disease Index (OSDI) after their consent. Urrets-Zavalia syndrome is a dreaded complication of anterior segment surgery and the most common in patients undergoing corneal transplantation. Avoiding the prescription of mydriatic eye drops during the postoperative period is the mainstay of its therapy, which focuses on prevention. One month after having keratoplasty in the left eye, a 42-year-old man presented with Urrets-Zavalia syndrome and ocular hypertonia at 35 mmgh. Medical and surgical management were required in this situation.
The purpose of our presentation is to describe a real-world instance of Urrets-Zavalia syndrome.

Abstract Objective Spinocerebellar ataxia 29 (SCA29) is a rare autosomal dominant disorder resulting in infantile-onset hypertonia, gross motor delay and cognitive impairment. SCA29 causes cerebellar dysfunction and atrophy manifested by poor hand coordination, instability of gait, impaired articulation, poor hand-eye coordination, language delay, and a wide legged, unsteady walk. Slow improvement across childhood is common, but the limited available research suggests significant clinical heterogeneity among individuals diagnosed with SCA29. Abstract:
Intraocular pressure (IOP) has a tendency to fluctuate throughout the day, reaching its peak in the early morning in healthy subjects or glaucoma patients. Likewise, histamine tone also fluctuates over time, being lower at nighttime. Numerous studies have demonstrated a correlation between short-term IOP fluctuation and glaucoma progression; however, it has not yet been determined whether histamine plays a role in IOP fluctuations. The aim of this research was to establish the distribution of the histamine receptor proteins and respective mRNAs in the eye by western blot, immunohistochemistry

Abstract:
Background and Significance. Dry eye disease (DED) is a prevalent optic surface illness with a high incidence worldwide that is caused by a variety of factors, including mitochondrial dysfunction. Resveratrol has been confirmed to protect the eye surface in DED, and as an antioxidant, resveratrol can maintain mitochondrial function. Therefore, we investigated whether resveratrol can improve DED by restoring mitochondrial function. Methods. The mitochondrial dysfunction of HCE-2 human corneal epithelial cells was induced by high osmotic pressure exposure and treated with resveratrol (50 μM). We

Abstract:

Corneal edema is a common complication of cataract surgery, although tremendous improvements have been made in the surgical techniques, which decreased surgical eye trauma and complication rates. Normal endothelial cell density is 2000-3000 cells/mm2 in older individuals, which maintains the corneal clarity. Even ‘perfect’ cataract surgery does some damage to the endothelium. A significant postoperative endothelium density decrease can impair its ability to maintain corneal clarity, resulting in corneal edema, blurring of vision and ocular pain. Aggressive topical treatment in the first
