This study was conducted to explore the effects of expressing negative feelings and opinions through aggressive, assertive, empathic assertive, and unassertive content combined with assertive and unassertive styles. Perceptions of relational messages, attraction, and communication satisfaction were assessed. Several hypotheses were advanced.
