Abstract:
The present paper deals with the dialectal situation of the lexeme ogar,-a m.‘a young man’, ‘a youth’, ‘a son’, which belongs to the core vocabulary of the traditional Eastern Moravian dialect. The dialect called Wallachian is spoken around the towns of Rožnov, Valašské Meziříčí, Vsetín, Zlín, Vizovice, and Valašské Klobouky. In the southern part of the Wallachia region (around Zlín, Vizovice, and Klobouky), the expression is realized as ogara, -y / -i m. In addition, the same sense of the word ogar is common not only in the Silesian-Moravian dialectal region (namely, the Lachia area around Frenštát), which was likewise affected by Carpathian pastoral colonization in the past, but also the eastern Moravian dialectal island of Kelč with its very specific phonology. In Slovakia, the expression is found in two places. It is attested from the Spiš region (more specifically, from Veľký Šariš), where it has a pejorative meaning and is also used as a swearword (denoting a rather neglected young man). The second location is Revúca in the Slovak Central Mountains, where it denotes a tall man who is very thin - almost emaciated. In Poland, the word ogar is attested in the southern part of the Malopolska region around Ropčice (ogar - “czasem na dziecko wołają: Ty ogarze!”) and in the Zakopane region (ogarek - “2. przezwisko małych chłopców”). This information is confirmed as of the last quarter of the nineteenth century as well as the beginning of the twentieth century by Karłowicz's dictionary. Apart from that, the present-day Kraków urban dialect contains the expression agar ‘a youth’. The word ogar is not attested in the sense of ‘a boy’, ‘a youth’ in any other Slavonic or non-Slavonic language. As regards linguistic geography, the distribution of the word does not extend beyond the mountainous and sub-mountainous regions of the Western Carpathians. As it appears in several semantic varieties in multiple places around the Carpathian region but nowhere else, the word can be classified as a distinctly Carpathian expression. The alternate form ogarek, ogárek is a common diminutive derived by the suffix -ek and having a positive affective function. The form ogara found in southern Wallachia was most likely coined by analogy or by mistaking the indirect grammatical case of ogar for the nominative. Such a mistaken interpretation is quite plausible, given the fact that the area in question was less affected by the Carpathian pastoral colonization than the other regions. Hence the possible change of the nominative form of the word from ogar to ogara (and resulting in a different declensional pattern according to the keyword předseda). The lexeme ohař ‘a hunting dog’ is most likely to be an old borrowing from Eastern languages, which possibly indicates some degree of influence of those languages over the European area in question. As regards the Western Carpathian (and thus also the Moravian-Wallachian) ogar ‘a boy’ etc., it concerns a second borrowing of the same non-Slavonic word but with a different semantic content via Romanian (regardless of whether this non-Slavonic Eastern word got into Romanian directly or, rather, via a Slavonic language). In that sense, the word exists as yet another evidence of the Romanian linguistic (and perhaps also ethnic) involvement in the pastoral colonization of the Western Carpathians.

Abstract:
Several activated sludge processes using intermittent aeration were developed during the last decade to improve nitrogen removal. Timers, oxidation-reduction or oxygen probes are often used to switch aeration on and off at preset times or by upper and lower limits. These regulation systems cannot adjust the oxygen supply to the biological oxygen demand and cannot realize the supply when “requested” by the influent. A new controller/regulator system (OGAR: Optimized manaGement of Aeration by Redox) based on the variation with time of the oxidation reduction potential was developed : EH = f(time). This OGAR system controls the aeration periods and therefore optimizes the nitrification and denitrification reactions in the sludge processes. The operation of the OGAR programmable controller can be summarized by three functions: It is a true diagnostic tool and a decision making aid. Its simple design enables it to be adapted easily to any site and to be highly user-friendly. OGAR was applied to an existing wastewater treatment plant located at Nezel-la-Falaise near Paris (west suburb). Overall performance of the plant before and after implementation of automatic aeration control by OGAR yields the following conclusions:removal of COD was improved by 45 % reduction in COD from 100 mg/l to 55 mg/lammonia nitrogen concentration was reduced from 42 mg.l-1 to 2mg.1-1 and nitrate nitrogen concentration was reduced to less than 5 mg.1-1

Abstract:
OGAR® is an industrial process control system that utilises on-line redox measurements to control the aeration sequence in an activated sludge process. Compared to conventional process control systems that use dissolved oxygen, OGAR® makes use of redox as a control parameter during both aerobic and anoxic conditions. This paper reports on its first application in a sequencing batch reactor. The principal aim of this project is to demonstrate the capability of OGAR® to achieve concentrations of total nitrogen in the treated effluent of less than 10 mg/L, which are typically stipulated by Queensland's Environmental Protection Agency (EPA). In this study the use of the control system resulted in the following SBR performance: consistent effluent total nitrogen less than 5.0 mg/L; ammonia concentration reduced from 31.6 mg/L to 0.32 mg/L, effluent nitrate 2.8 mg/L; DO setpoint 1.5 mg/L had 10% higher effluent total nitrogen compared to DO setpoint 4.0 mg/L and redox end-points for nitrification 400 mV, denitrification 150 mV.

Abstract:
However his works appear more interesting if we look at them not only as examples of the french comic art, but as evidences of the changes that occur in the fields of press cartoon and childhood culture during the first half of the 20th century. Actually, Saint-Ogan's work in litterature, comic strip, but also radio broadcasting and publicity plays an important part in the early diversifications of media in childhood culture. Above all, studying his works allows us to understand french comic's evolutions when the legacy of 19th century press cartoon meets the needs of children's culture industry

Abstract:

Abstract:
The coastal fish community of Wemindji, eastern James Bay, was studied to describe seasonal utilization of the Maquatua River estuary and the adjacent coastal waters by marine and anadromous fishes. During summer, the estuarine fishes are numerically dominated by the fourhorn sculpin (Myoxocephalus quadricornis) and the slender eelblenny (Lumpenus fabricii), and also by juvenile cisco (Coregonus artedii) and whitefish (C. clupeaformis). In coastal waters, three marine species are abundant: the shorthorn sculpin (M. scorpius), the arctic sculpin (M. scorpioides) and the Greenland cod (Gadus ogac).<br>Greenland cod were studied in the same period. During the summer, they principally occupied shallow coastal waters, characterized by a belt of eelgrass (Zostera marina). In winter, more cod were found in the estuary. This movement corresponds to sexual maturity; spawning occurs in April to June. Greenland cod life history variables differ from those of most arctic benthic fishes: they show rapid growth, high fecundity, low age at first maturity and high mortality.

Abstract:
La nouvelle est le genre monologique par excellence, ne permettant pas la confrontation de deux "voix" (Bakhtine) de même statut (ch. 7)<br>The study of a very wide range of very different stories shows that they share a common approach of structure, publishing conditions, and conception of their subject. Part I (structure): making of every element a paragon in its category (ch. 1), the short story uses them in an antithetic structure (ch. 2), which importance supersedes that of the characterization. "whip-ends" may dramatize such a tension (ch. 4). What allows the story to be short is that it relies heavily on readymade materials (ch. 3). Long stories and non-narrative stories may, however, escape such "laws" (ch. 5). Part II (publishing conditions) shows on forty-odd periodicals that the characters in the story could never belong to the readers' own world. "exotism" is the rule, even for realist or "naturalist" texts. Part III (the estranging look) shows this as being the result of conceiving the subject as "exotic". Close analysis of all rhetoric devices (with special discussion of the "free indirect speech" and "patois", plus the use of narrators and "reflectors" -ch4, 5 &amp; 6) shows how they estrange the reader from the characters. The short story is a monological text: it never allows the confrontation of two equally valid "voices" (Bakhtine: ch. 7)

Abstract:

Abstract:
After completing the Geological Geophysical and Reservoir (GGR) model revision of North East Air Serdang (NEASD) and the Guruh (GRH) field, Pertamina Hulu Energi Ogan Komering (PHE OK) evaluated the water flooding performance that has been applied since 2006. This paper explains the success story of the water flooding application using the peripheral method in the carbonate reservoir NEASD and the GRH field in the Ogan Komering Block. Water flooding was successfully applied in the NEASD and Guruh fields. The carbonate reservoirs are well connected as evidenced by tracer tests conducted in 2006. The waterflood development was based on running the simulation water injection sensitivity cases, economic evaluations, and entailed converting the unproductive wells into injector wells and building an injection system surface facilities. The approved Plan of Further Development (POFD), covered field wide application of the waterflood and performance surveillance monitoring. The POFD of water flooding in NEASD and Guruh field was approved in 2006 by the government and fulfilled all of the commitments in 2018 with oil incremental production of 4.85 MMBO from a do nothing baseline recovery factor (RF) of 26.5% going up to 34.2% (post water flooding). Although this had fulfilled the programs and economic commitment, currently both of the fields still produce about 1500 bopd. After updating the Geological Geophysical and Reservoir (GGR) model in 2019, it is predicted that the total economic recovery factor (RF) of the development can reach 41,7% by the end of the PSC contract in 2038.

Abstract:
An exergy based analysis of the Environmental Control and Life Support System (ECLSS) aboard the International Space Station (ISS) is conducted to assess its overall performance. Exergy is chosen as a measure of performance because it accounts for both the first and second laws of thermodynamics. The exergy efficiency of a system is first defined as the total exergy destroyed by the system relative to the total exergy input to the system. To determine the ECLSS exergy efficiency, the system is divided into constituent subsystems which in turn are divided into assemblies and components. Based on this system decomposition, exergy balances are derived for each assembly or component. Exergy balances and supporting calculations are implemented in MATLAB® code. The major subsystems of the ECLSS considered in this analysis include the Atmosphere Revitalization Subsystem (ARS), Atmosphere Control and Supply Subsystem (ACS), Temperature and Humidity Control Subsystem (THC), Water Recovery and Management Subsystem (WRM), and Waste Management Subsystem (WM). This paper focuses on the ARS and its constituent assemblies and components. Exergy efficiency of the ARS and its constituent assemblies and components is first presented. The Oxygen Generation Assembly (OGA), an assembly within the ARS, is then highlighted because the exergy destruction by the OGA is a large magnitude contributor to the overall exergy destruction of the ECLSS. The OGA produces oxygen to meet the crew’s metabolic demand via water electrolysis in a proton exchange membrane (PEM) electrolyzer. The exergy destruction of the OGA’s PEM electrolyzer is a function of the amount of oxygen produced, which determines the necessary current density and voltage drop across the PEM electrolyzer. In addition, oxygen production in the PEM electrolyzer requires deviation from the Nernst potential, presenting trade-offs between the exergy efficiency and critical life support functions. The results of parametric studies of PEM electrolyzer performance are presented with an emphasis on the impacts of polarization and operational conditions on exergy efficiency.
