Yield decreased with delay in sowing until the late-December-January period. The maximum rainfed stem yield at Katherine in an above-average rainfall season was 18 400 kg/ha. The maximum yield in a below average rainfall season was 11 700

Abstract:
Background: Celiac disease (CD) is an immunologically-mediated disorder characterized by duodenal mucosa villi atrophy. Iron absorption is usually reduced in celiac patients making every kind of oral iron treatment unhelpful because of malasorption. Feralgine™ is a new product that has been demonstrated to be more bioavailable. As such, the aim of our study was to evaluate the absorption of Feralgine™ in adult patients with CD. Methods: Twenty-six adults affected by Iron Deficiency Anemia (IDA), of which 14 were also affected by CD and 12 were not affected by CD, were enrolled. An oral iron ab

Introduction. SUPERknee procedure (SK) is a treatment for complex knee instability in children with congenital deformations. Due to wide surgical approach and long time of surgery (ST) the skin around the knee is in risk of ischemic necrosis (SN) or healing complications (HC). Aim. The purpose of the study is to compare incidence of SN in SK using typical and modified approach.Material and Methods. Sixteen patients underwent SK since 2015 till 2016, in mean age 8.1 (4.3–12.7) y.o. In 8 cases SK and in 8 SK combined with SUPERhip (SK+SH) was performed. In 6 patients (3 SK and 3 SK+SH) the appro

In this paper, we propose a novel opportunistic interference alignment technique for spectrum-shared radar and uplink cellular communication systems where both systems are equipped with multiple antennas. In the proposed OIA technique, the radar system sends its signal so that the radar signal is received into interference space at base stations (BSs) of the cellular system, while each uplink user (UE) generates its transmit beamforming vector so that communication signals are received within interference space at the radar receiver. Moreover, to achieve better sum-rate performance of the cell

Tryptophan indole-lyase (TIL) is a bacterial enzyme which catalyzes the reversible formation of indole and ammonium pyruvate from L-tryptophan. Oxindolyl-L-alanine (OIA) is an inhibitor of TIL, with a K i value of about 5 µM. The crystal structure of the complex of Proteus vulgaris TIL with OIA has now been determined at 2.1 Å resolution. The ligand forms a closed quinonoid complex with the pyridoxal 5′-phosphate (PLP) cofactor. The small domain rotates about 10° to close the active site, bringing His458 into position to donate a hydrogen bond to Asp133, which also accepts a hydrogen bond from

Hepatic iron accumulation is generally increased in the chronic hepatitis C (CHC) liver; however, the precise mechanism of such accumulation remains unclear. We evaluated iron absorption from the gastrointestinal tract of patients with CHC and control participants. We measured the expression of a panel of molecules associated with duodenal iron absorption and serum hepcidin levels to determine the mechanism of iron accumulation in the CHC liver.
