Full replanting and underplanting techniques in oil palm cultivation by farmers in the Muaro Jambi region and the results of fresh fruit bunches of oil palm farmers vary. This is due to the number of oil palm plants and the age of the oil palm plants which affect the total oil palm production and farmer income. This study aims to: (1) produce oil palm farming income for farmers based on replanting techniques; and (2) analyze the calculation of oil palm farming income for farmers based on replanting techniques. What if opaque colours can be used to create a play of transparency and translucency in the painting? Since the 14th century, artists have been playing around with various color pigments, binders and solvents to achieve transparency in opaque mineral pigments. These pigments when powdered and pulverized with drying oils such as linseed oil, provides an amazing platform for the artists to work on canvas or pre-treated paper, with an advantage of mixing of colours on the drawing surface and glaze after drying. Abstract This article presents a green approach in the biological base oil synthesis from catfish fat by-product using the hydrodynamic cavitation technique. The effects of parameters on the yield of reaction were investigated. The application of the cavitation technique has improved the process efficiency significantly. The catfish polyester oil yield reached at high value (94.6%) at the inlet pressure of 60 psi, the molar ratio of acetic anhydride/epoxy of 1.25/1, 85°C, and only 10 min, and also under these reaction conditions, magnetic stirring technique could only give the limited yield of

An application of ultrasonic technique is attempted for the purpose of measuring thin oil film thickness between two surfaces. The amplitude of the wave reflected from the boundary is vary depending on film thickness, because the ultrasonic wave emitted to the interface between two surfaces does multiple reflection and interference in oil film. Quantitative measurement of oil film thickness then can be possible. For instance, it is possible to measure the submicron film thickness which exists near the point contact formed by convex glass and plate with high frequency probe. And it is confirmed

<p class="Abstract">Disease in palm oil sector is one of the major concerns because it affects the production and economy losses to Malaysia. Diseases appear as spots on the leaf and if not treated on time, cause the growth of the palm oil tree. This work presents the use of digital image processing technique for classification oil palm leaf disease sympthoms. Chimaera and Anthracnose is the most common symtoms infected the oil palm leaf in nursery stage. Here, support vector machine (SVM) acts as a classifier where there are four stages involved. The stages are image acquisition, image

The countless cases of environmental contamination by oil activities have grown significantly over time. This implies the need to develop new techniques for recovery of the affected areas. The flotation technique has been highlighted for this purpose and associated with other techniques, either chemical, physical or biological, improves their efficiency, and consequently, the recovery of location will be effective. This work aims to evaluate the remediation of two horizons of Typic Quartzipisamment originating in Recôncavo, which were contaminated artificially with oil and recovered using flot

Summary Few heavy-oil reservoirs with strong bottomwaterdrive have been developed successfully, because severe water coning causes low ultimate recovery, low well productivity, and high water production. In these reservoirs, thermal and gravity-assisted methods that could improve recovery are perceived as economically unfavorable or technologically infeasible. In this paper, we propose a new cold-production technique, called the bilateral water sink (BWS), to meet those challenges. The BWS method suppresses water cresting by producing oil and water simultaneously from bilateral horizontal well

ABSTRACT An immobilization technique was developed and standardized for seeding oil spills with specific oil degrading microorganisms, fertilizing them with nitrogen- and phosphorus-containing salts and controlling the further spread of the oil spill. Thermocol was used as a carrier molecule on which nutrients as well as microbial cells were adsorbed. Studies were carried out to correlate the amount of biodegradation to that of release of nitrogen and phosphorus adsorbed on the carrier molecule. The release of nutrients from the carrier molecule was slow: 76 percent of the crude oil was degrad

The oily sludge treatments catch widespread attention. But, management of sludge is difficult and costly undertaking. The oil recovery pyrolysis temperature, heating rate and carbon wt.% is discussed. The recovered aliphatic, aromatic, elemental components and gases were obtained with respect to the nitrogen flow rate. The present work showed that as the heating rate increases, both the %pyrolysis oil and gases increases up to 600 OC, while the %pyrolysis char decreases. Beyond 600 OC, the pyrolysis gases% increases, the pyrolysis oil% decreases while the %pyrolysis char continuous decreases.

The quantity of palm oil fruits supplied from palm oil estates often affects the number of workers required and the area to be harvested. Thus, the ultimate objective of this research is to develop a system to forecast monthly delivery quantities such that the companys profit will increase through proper balance between supply and demand. This research is limited to 10 years of monthly deliveries from a palm oil estates deliver to only one palm oil mill as the case study. Two forecast techniques were chosen; the linear regression and additive forecast methods. Based on theories and formulation
