This thesis focuses on residential suburbanization within Olomouc city and its surroundings. The aim of the thesis is to determine the degree of intensity of suburbanization of individual settlemements based on the available data. Pursuant evaluation, the settlements with higher suburbanization intensity will be selected and subjected to investigation. The purpose of the investigation is to determine the extent of influence by these processes and what the settlement with higher suburbanisation intensity brings to the citizens. Subsequently, the selected sites and their newly build environement will be assessed from urbanistic and architectural point of view. In conclusion, the detailed analysis of the most suburbanized settlement will be performed.

ABSTRACT This thesis is concerned with a technical modification of design of the electrical power systems for Modřice and its surroundings. The thesis describes a basic theoretical distribution of the electricity network and the distribution network itself. Following chapters are devoted to the development and construction of the HV networks and to the methods and ways of calculating the steady operation of the network. These methods are then used in the computational programs that are presented in the next chapter of this paper. The aim of the practical part of the thesis is to first determine the current state of the network in the given location. Furthermore, several modifications are proposed according to the requirements for increasing the power consumption or connecting the new supply places. The proposed modifications are further assessed for the different operating conditions. The result is a network that is functional, operational and reliable. The whole analysis is carried out in the PAS DAISY Off-line V4 Bizon computing program.

This master’s thesis deals with analysis of documents for the realization of the new buildings the wider area of Brno. It is divided into the theoretical part and the empirical part. The theoretical part describes defines and characterize different stages of implementation of building plots in the framework of utility lines and roads on agricultural land (greenfields), designated for residential housing. In the empirical part goals and methodology of the research project are mentioned and it is divided into two parts. The first part is devoted to case studies comparing and analyzing the costs and revenues of the developer selected localities of satellite towns. The second part is focused on the actual development of land prices. It points to items affecting profit or loss of the developer. In the last chapter the author of this thesis describes creating a preliminary calculation, which the developer can determine whether a satellite town of the selected project will be successful or not. In conclusion, the thesis points out important factors affecting the project success of the satellite town.

The subject of the diploma thesis is “Rehabilitation of the historical center and the surrounding neighborhoods in Kyjov with main focus on public space”. Urbanistic solution covers an area in close distance from the Masaryk Square, where the effort is to offer housing in the newly designed residential district. Diploma thesis also contains a design for completion and increase of capacity of the social services complex which is adjacent to the park by Saint Josef Chapel. This park is a part of the urbanistic design as well. The studied area is bordered by the streets of Újezd, Dobrovského, Dvořákova, Klvaňova, Brandlova and Palackého třída. Although Kyjov is situated mostly on plains the studied area is in a hilly and disunited part of the city. Buildings in this area are rather low-rise and mainly used for housing purposes. The design is focused on offering varied housing, which relates to the existing buildings and develops unused public space. Scope of this diploma thesis also contains a vision for the year 2070. The vision focuses on an area currently with high-rise blocks of flats. This area is adjacent to the newly designed residential district.

This diploma thesis is focused on the rehabilitation of adjacent surroundings of the historical center of Kyjov and revitalizing public spaces. Part of the thesis are the analysis of the current condition of the solved and affected area, problems evaluation and values of the territory and draft of a new building structure along with a working transport solution. The main criterion for the choice of the area to be solved for me was the problem of this locality with conjunction to industry area of the mills and a very small percentage of the quality of the territory. The mill site occupies almost a quarter of the area and together with surrounding buildings, makes a large impassable barrier in the city. The draft seeks to respond to the functioning state of the site and to rehabilitate the surrounding environment. Another factor for the selection of the territory was the unused potential of the river side Kyjovka flowing through the area. This area hides many other problems and there is no quality architecture. My task was to combine all aspects of the area and make the most of it for the draft. A new functional neighborhood of housing with public spaces and amenities is being designed on the area. The draft include 2 new streets, 4 public spaces, pedestrian zone, Kyjovka riverside, 45 new buildings and 10 reconstructed buildings. The concept of the area also concerns the transfer of the existing main railway station. The draft is also aimed on the main problem of Kyjov, as a growing age population, the poor quality of services and commuting to work.

Building new apartment buildings, leisure centers and coworking centers could help to achieve the goal. The diploma thesis deals with the construction and activation of the territory in connection with the historical center of Kyjov. Part of the proposal was to work with an existing urban brownfield and an extensive park, which accounts for almost half the area under consideration. The goal, as I set out in my work, is to activate the territory and design an urban sprawl with a suitable functional structure. The proposed design respects the context and character of the site in a modern and sustainable manner. The principles followed in my work are based on the current urban and city-forming rules. I have put an emphasis on the human scale, the priority of pedestrians over traffic, and especially the shortcomings and needs in the territory that arise from the analysis. The draft concept is based on the permeability and interconnection of the individual parts of the city, the insertion of a new public space and the completion of the city block. The new urban sprawl clearly defines the street, completes the boundaries and makes the most of the area on the released land. The newly designed buildings are residential and multi-functional houses with active parterres. Part of the proposal is the revitalization of the city park, which explores its hidden potential. The basic step is to remove obstacles in the permeability of the park and to highlight its strengths, such as the flowing river Kyjovka, healthy large trees and the size of the park itself.

Kyjov is causing me to have four passwords – it's a small town, tradition, affection and understanding. Small town as in salvation in the modesty, the picturesqueness of knowledge. The tradition, which are for city important and based on them. They are, for example, folk songs, costume, feast, dialects and all that yet remained of the past. Affection is the quality of the architecture, which, although already expired, but still her remains remain. And the last password understanding, and especially in chanting traditions, the preservation of its values, grasping and grappling or finding your uniqueness. At work I dedicate spaces around Kyjovka from Boršov the south end of the city. I try to just flow so neprotékal, but to engage in the urban environment of Kyjov. I have several places that I've re-energise, give them value and use the reserves for the thickening building. These spaces have a new application and are a place to stop, lift up the city and open to visitors and current residents. Kyjovka communicates not only with parks, but even with the new buildings and its features, you will be able to get closer to the stream and found in it a place to rest, but also to entertain or to walk.

The basic prerequisite for the work is a change in financial circumstances on the investigated area. Also disclosure of the river Svitava, as well as the recovery of the Svitava drive. The goal of the diploma thesis is to design a form of redeveloped urban area adjacent to the historical city centre of Brno. The design follows the tradition of the compact city and its development from the medieval age until the 19th century. Mixed functions, preference of non-motorised and public transport, vital shopping streets with greenery, permeability and spaces without barriers are characteristics for the proposed city of short distances. The design has its own distinctive approach to the plot, conceptually differing from the valid local development plan. I do not believe that the important animating impulse for the underdeveloped district of Brno-Zábrdovice should consist of tearing down existing buildings and replacing them with a new thoroughfare duplicating the internal city ring road.

This thesis addresses the changes in land-use planning and their overall impact on the final price of land. Selected sites are in locations Dolní Rožínka and Žďár nad Sázavou, in the local area Stržanov. Both plots are established and customary prices recorded for individual phases of spatial planning. These phases are divided into agricultural land, other land-use plan that is designed for building and land intended to be built according to zoning. Final evaluation determines how different land prices in the three phases of spatial planning and price comparison of the two plots each other in different locations.

Real estate evaluation is a very attractive and up to date area of interest. Real estates can be evaluated for several purposes. Whether we talk about the evaluation by the certified valuer for purposes set by the law such as the real estate sale, tax purposes, and property settlement or appraisal by the assessor based on market approach for the market needs. Within the Czech Republic, we define two main ways how to evaluate a real estate. Those are the evaluation according to the price regulation and market approach evaluation. Each of these ways defines a lot of evaluation methods/ approaches such as cost approach, comparison approach or revenue approach. The question is how much the result of the evaluation correspondents with reality and how much different the prices are set based on those methods. And that is what this diploma thesis deals with. This thesis will compare potential differences between the values estimated by selected methods.

The theme of the diploma thesis "Brno waterfront - rehabilitation of the Brno rivers and their surroundings" is creating an urban proposal in Brno, Zábrdovice, on the eastern waterfront of the Svitava river. The intention is to use the potential of the area and create the possibility of lucrative housing by river with a commercial ground floor, services, leisure time park with a multifunctional playground and easy direct access to the Svitava river. The studied location, has an area of 6.32 hectares andis defined mainly by the Zábrdovická Street and the Svitava River near the former Premonstratensian Monastery, which now serves as a Military Hospital. At present, the location has mainly low-floor industrial buildings with storage and expedition functions. The proposed buildings relate to existing buildings on the east and west banks of the Svitava River. They have the form of four to six storey blocks, which are characteristic for this area. The park connects to the revitalized eastern embankment of the river at the site of a new footbridgethat connects both rive sides and stairs. They provide space formeetings and relaxation, but also serve as a flood control in the event of a water inflow. Along the Svitava River there is a sidewalk with street alleyways and access to the river.

Dušan Foltýn ABSTRACT: The content of my thesis is a summary of all so far discovered sacral buildings in the territory of the royal town Znojmo, that have not been preserved, but that were destroyed or rebuilt. Gradually there are described defunct the Great Moravian buildings, the medieval and the modern buildings. A special part is the chapter of defunct sacral buildings of the cemetery. Defunct sacral buildings in Znojmo were studied from the perspective of historical, architectural and from the viewpoint of current status and utilization. Personal contribution to this work is a restoration viewpoint and pointing out options to improve the situation. To study were used the primary sources from the archival collections in Znojmo, Czech and German regional literature, files of contemporary periodicals, postcard of the secondary modern literature. The possibility of consultations with local historians and a personal visitation of all described sites for creating custom preview and photos were used as well. This diploma thesis attends to the landscape character, the methodics of the evaluation of landscape character and the influence of mining on the landscape character. Příbram, influenced by uranium mining during last century, was chosen as a model area. The aim of this thesis is a comparison of chosen methodics of the evaluation of landscape character in the term of mining district and a creation of new methodics specialized for model area. The thesis focus on the landscape character and restoration ecology in mining areas in theoretical part. There is a description of landscape character protection and preservation, also in terms of law, reclamations and uranium mining. Below, the four chosen methodics are mentioned. In practical part, the diploma thesis characterizes the model area, its history and also current situation including reclamation made. Then there are a comparison of chosen methodics of landscape character evaluation according to elected criteria and a project of methodics for to a evaluation of chosen area. This thesis deals with waste and waste management in 19th century in Prague. The theoretical basis is the concept of "urban metabolism", which part is waste, as the metabolic output. Waste is also seen as an example of interactions between city and its hinterland. The intention of this thesis is to prove the proposition on the case of Prague, that the 19th century wasn't the century of waste. At the time of progressing industrialization and demand of raw materials there was the tendency to reuse every potentially usable material. This thesis describes based on literature and especially on analysis of archival documents the particular steps of waste management in 19th century in Prague (city cleaning, collection, transport and disposal of waste), whereas the main concern lays in interaction of city and its hinterland in context of waste disposal. The thesis is a case study of particular localities of the North-Indian region Kumaon (Uttarakhand province). The thesis focuses on the daily life of local Dom groups, their position in the caste system, and also targets the professions they are performing. It further targets the practices performed during choosing the partner and also focuses on their religious ideas about the world around them. 1 ABSTRACT: The master thesis presents characteristics of the three localities around the Bílina town, i.e. Bořeň Hill, Bílina Castle park with Bezovka Walley and Bílina Spa garden, as an objects of field education focusing on general natural science, biology and geology. It includes integrated didactic materials that are suitable for realization of the field excursions during every season. The excursions are designed to be applicable for pupils of second grade of elementary school, eight-years gymnasium, eventually for free time activities of child leaded by natural history oriented organizations. The materials can be also used as the base of the pedagogical work within the "Environmental Training, Education and Culture" system. The suggested excursion guides include methodological description, worksheets, didactic games and other supporting materials. As a case study the excursion to Bílina Spa garden has been evaluated by three pupils' groups in the age interval from 8 to 17 years. Coffee belongs to very important crops in the world and it is traditionally grown in agroforestry systems. During the five years the four coffee plantations with different type of shading were studied in the foothills of the Peruvian Andes. The highest amount of carbon was found in the plantation shaded dominantly by Eucalyptus spp., followed by Pinus spp., Inga spp. and non-shaded site. The microclimatic characteristic measurement shows that shading reduces the mean air and soil temperatures and increases the air humidity, compared to the non-shaded site. It was recorded drier soil conditions at the shaded site. At all plantations, coffee variety and age had a significant effect on Coffee Leaf Rust incidence. The value of the timber stored in shade trees varied significantly. There were different results for different shade trees species (from 2% to 72% of the annual income from coffee production).

The importance of oral hygiene in the life of each person is irreplaceable and correct performance of oral hygiene has its significance in socio-economic position of each person. I set the goal of assessing the level of oral hygiene in a group of patients from the town of České Budějovice and surroundings in my work. I selected the quantitative research method with the help of questionnaires as the working method of my research work. The goal of my thesis was to assess the level of oral hygiene and also to assess the patients{\crq} approaches to this issue in relationship to their achieved level of education. I confirmed with my investigation that the level of education has influence on performance of oral hygiene; it has further influence on the awareness of the citizens with regard to the attitude to their oral health and on the assessment of their oral health in relationship to their current job and further on the relationship of oral hygiene and the level of life style and position in the society.

The main aim of this diploma thesis is to explain the method of financing charity and secure funding church institutions situated on the territory of city of České Budějovice in the Middle Ages. The work is divided into six chapters. The first part consists of describing the development of Church administration in Bohemia from beginning of Christianity to the Middle Ages. The second chapter presents the person of parish priest and describes the function of the parish. On this passage follows a treatise of the right of patronage. The theoretical part of this thesis is concluded with a chapter which explains the general financial insurance and patronage support of parishes. The practical part is devoted to the development of foundation agenda in České Budějovice and also brings the structure of rural parishes and parish networks in the vicinity of this city. The work includes the list of used sources, literature and attachments. The annexes include tables containing summary data from municipal book of donation records, the main source of this thesis. It also contains tables relating the occupation the parish benefices by parish priest as well as the photographs of mentioned churches.

The diploma thesis deals with the tourism in the Bohemian Paradise, the emphasis is on the town of Turnov that is regarded with its neighbourhood as a tourist centre of the region. The thesis describes the last third of the 19th century and the period before the First World War. The first part of the work focuses on the phenomena associated with the development of modern tourism in the observed region, such as the growing sector of services, the advent of railways or tourist organization. This section also includes chapter on the genesis of the name Bohemian Paradise (Český ráj). The other part of the thesis analyses the town Turnov and its surroundings. After a brief introduction, the thesis studies technical and material base that the town offered to the incoming visitors. The attention is turned to accommodation and catering services, summer apartments or local guide services. The main part describes the activities of the local department of the Czech Tourist Club.
