According to the latest official materials of the territorial departments of the Office of Rospotrebnadzor for the Khanty-Mansiysk Autonomous Okrug-Yugra, opisthorchiasis remains the most relevant and socially significant parasitic pathology of the population of the okrug. The mechanisms of O. felineus carcinogenesis are not fully understood. The concentration of Se in 147 environmental objects, local and imported foodstuff s of the KhantyMansiysk Autonomous Okrug, as well as the AES-ICP and MS-ICP methods in the hair of 515 of its inhabitants was determined by microfl uorimetric method: 319 non-indigenous (207 adults and 112 children) and 196 Khanty (96 adults and 100 children). A moderate defi ciency of selenium in the food chains of the Khanty-Mansiysk Autonomous Okrug and a signifi cantly better supply of selenium to the Khanty compared to the non-indigenous population were established.

The latest Nationwide Population Census (NPC) of the Russian Federation is fundamentally different from all those previously conducted. In Chukotka, NPC 2020 was arranged in two stages: first, in remote villages, then in the city of Anadyr and the settlement of Ugolnye Kopy.
