Abstract:

The article looks closely at the Quechua play "Apu Ollantay" in order to better understand the relationships of power that the Incas established with the Amazonian corner of their empire, known in Inca terms as Antisuyu. It is argued that the drama "Apu Ollantay" functioned as a social and political device in order to enhance Inca imperial magnitude and project an image of a magnanimous ruler.

Abstract:

Se intenta un análisis psicológico de aspectos fundamentales del drama Apu Ollantay escrito en quechua durante la era colonial en el Perú, comparando profundidad artística y temas de su argumento con los de dos clásicas obras de Shakespeare. Luego de breves referencias históricas en torno a fecha de publicación, traducción y primera presentación de Apu Ollantay, se identifica claramente, aún con comprensibles diferencias de énfasis, el tema de desafiliación familiar hasta en dos generaciones, así como el desenlace del reconocimiento a través de gestos de generosidad, perdón y perspectivas nuevas de convivencia social y familiar. Las diferencias de tiempo e historia se esfuman al conjuro de poesía sugerente y teatralidad profunda.

Hemos rescatado el presente artículo que publicó Arguedas en la revista Letras Peruanas,N° 8, octubre de 1952, y que está poco difundido a pesar de abordar un tema importanteen los estudios de la literatura quechua, como es la traducción del drama Ollantay. Abstract:

A comienzos de siglo XX, el boom arqueológico en el sector andino junto con la búsqueda de símbolos que pudiesen formar la identidad de los estado-nacionales en la región, produjeron una serie de representaciones culturales sobre el pasado precolonial con especial énfasis en lo incaico. Éstas se dieron en diversos ámbitos artísticos: desde las artes visuales a las artes performáticas. Una de las compañías teatrales más reconocidas fue la Misión Peruana de Arte Incaico. El éxito de esta compañía en Argentina en 1923 produjo tanto interés que, en 1926, se representaron dos óperas –Ollantay de Constantino Gaito y Corimayo de Enrique Mario Casella–, las cuales tomaron el tema incaico como representación de lo nacional. En el presente trabajo voy a analizar los diferentes elementos artísticos en juego en las representaciones teatrales y las óperas, como también su recepción, para mostrar cómo estos dos géneros intermediales produjeron visiones diferentes sobre el indigenismo. Mientras las obras teatrales buscaban representar con “autenticidad” el pasado incaico, la óperas de Gaito y Casella hacían uso del imaginario incaico para producir una obra que pudiese ser tanto nacional como universal.

Abstract:

Este artigo faz uma análise da política externa peruana, desde a década de 1980, até a atualidade. Após uma retomada histórica, é feita uma análise das perspectivas do governo Ollanta Humala, eleito em 2011. Ainda, são realizadas análises das relações bilaterais do Peru com Brasil, EUA, Colômbia, Venezuela, Equador e Bolívia e da integração regional na perspectiva peruana (notadamente em relação à UNASUL, à Comunidade Andina e ao combate ao narcotráfico). Pode-se perceber que o governo Ollanta Humala apresenta uma leitura clara das alterações conjunturais que vêm se apresentando, conseguindo tirar melhor proveito das relações com os dois eixos de parceria possíveis.

The known cicada fauna of Panama is identified. Procollina quadrimaculata n. sp., P. stigmosa n. sp., Guyalna woldai n. sp., Herrera nigratorquata n. sp., H. sigillata n. sp. and Conibosa megalopercula n. sp. are described as new. Proarna germari Distant, 1905 n. syn. is shown to be a junior synonym of Proarna invaria (Walker, 1850). Pacarina championi (Distant, 1881) is returned to Proarna Stål, 1864 to become Proarna championi Distant, 1881 n. comb. again. The first records of Proarna invaria (Walker, 1850), Guyalna bogotana (Distant, 1892), Dorisiana cachla (Distant, 1899), Ollanta modesta (Distant, 1881), Pacarina schumanni Distant, 1905, Majeorona truncata Goding, 1925, Herrera lugubrina lugubrina (Stål, 1864), Calyria cuna (Walker, 1850), and Calyria telifera (Walker, 1858) are provided. The records for Ollanta modesta (Distant, 1881) are the first records of the genus Ollanta Distant, 1905 for Panama. The records for Calyria cuna (Walker, 1850), and Calyria telifera (Walker, 1858) are the first record of the genus Calyria Stål, 1862 and the Tribe Parnisini Distant, 1905 in Panama. Previous records of Dorisiana metcalfi Sanborn & Heath, 2014 (= Cicada viridis Olivier, 1790), Carineta fasciculata (Germar, 1830), and Selymbria stigmatica (Germar, 1834) are considered to be misidentifications of G. bogotana, C. maculosa (Torres, 1948), and S. pluvialis (Ramos & Wolda 1985) respectively so that D. metcalfi, C. fasciculata, and S. stigmatica are removed from the cicada fauna of Panama. The Panamanian record of Dorisiana semilata (Walker, 1850) is shown to be a mistake and the species is removed from the faunal list as well. The currently known Panamanian cicada fauna is comprised of 54 described species along with six species from the literature that remain undetermined from 22 genera, seven tribes and three subfamilies. Bergalna xanthospila (Germar, 1830) is reassigned to Dorisiana Metcalf, 1952 to become Dorisiana xanthospila (Germar, 1830) n. comb. Fidicinoides flavibasalis (Distant, 1905) is reassigned to Guyalna Boulard & Martinelli, 1996 to become Guyalna flavibasalis (Distant, 1905) n. comb.

The methods used are market and marketing aspect, engineering aspect and production aspect . organizational and management aspect as well as financial aspect with investment feasibility calculation in the form of payback period(PP), Net Present Value (NPV), Internal Rate of Return (IRR), and Profitability Index( PI). Market and marketing analysis shows that the prospect of the “ollanda” brownis home industry is quite good, seen from the increasing number of requests every year. Technical analysis of production show that the lacation of the home industry is close to settlements making it easier to recruit workers. Analisis of organizational and management personal show that bussines oners have carried out management functions well.

Abstract:

The election of Ollanta Humala in 2011 did not lead to a radical break from neoliberalism as many expected. His administration continued and deepened Peru’s conservative political and economic regime, its “low-intensity democracy.” His lack of a shift has been attributed to electoral dynamics, his leadership style, and the weakness of political parties. However, these readings overlook the structural impediments to any left government in Peru and Humala’s readiness to adapt his politics to this neoliberal reality. The power of Peru’s neoliberal political elite, the United States, economic groups, and transnational capital have all helped to constitute a structure of elite rule strong enough to prevent a radical shift. La elección de Ollanta Humala en el 2011 no condujo a una ruptura radical con el neoliberalismo, a diferencia de lo que esperaban muchos. Su administración mantuvo y profundizó el régimen político y económico conservador del Perú, su “democracia de baja intensidad”. La falta de cambio se ha atribuido a la dinámica electoral, su estilo de liderazgo y la debilidad de los partidos políticos. Sin embargo, estas interpretaciones ignoran los impedimentos estructurales existentes en Perú para cualquier gobierno de izquierda, así como la predisposición de Humala a adaptar su política a esta realidad neoliberal. El poder de la élite política neoliberal del Perú, los Estados Unidos, los grupos económicos y el capital transnacional han ayudado a construir una estructura de poder elitista lo suficientemente fuerte como para prevenir un cambio radical.

Abstract:

Entre los años 2010 y 2018, un tema capturó la atención de la opinión pública: la posibilidad de indultar al expresidente Alberto Fujimori considerando su edad avanzada y las enfermedades que pudiera padecer. En el gobierno de Ollanta Humala, a mediados del año 2013, se le denegó el indulto sobre la base de los siguientes fundamentos: “no tiene una enfermedad terminal, no tiene un trastorno mental incurable, no tiene una enfermedad incurable ni degenerativa y las instalaciones (penitenciarias) tampoco coadyuvan en su perjuicio”. El 24 de diciembre de 2017, mediante Resolución Suprema N° 281-2017-JUS se indultó por razones humanitarias al expresidente Alberto Fujimori cuando este tenía 79 años de edad y había cumplido diez años, diez meses y dos días de prisión.

Abstract:

Este estudio analiza la relación entre la ideología política, el comportamiento electoral y las reacciones emocionales luego de las elecciones presidenciales de 2011 en una muestra de adultos de la ciudad de Lima. Se utilizaron escalas de intolerancia a la ambigüedad, necesidad de cierre cognitivo, autoritarismo de ala derecha (RWA) y orientación política de derecha. Un modelo de ecuaciones estructurales propone que la intolerancia a la ambigüedad y la necesidad de cierre cognitivo ejercen una influencia directa sobre el RWA, el mismo que influye positivamente sobre la orientación política de derecha, variable que finalmente influye sobre las reacciones emocionales luego de conocerse el triunfo del candidato Ollanta Humala. Se discute al final acerca de la vigencia contemporánea del continuo ideológico izquierda/derecha.

Abstract:

<p>La presente investigación tuvo como objetivo generar una teoría acerca de la Reforma Educativa Neoliberal, emprendida desde 1990 y desarrollada con distintos matices en los periodos gubernamentales, desde Fujimori hasta Ollanta Humala. Este estudio se desarrolló dentro del paradigma cualitativo, con metodología de teoría fundamentada y descripción de la situación fenoménica. La muestra estuvo conformada por seis informantes, quienes proporcionaron los datos a través de la técnica de la entrevista a profundidad. Como resultado, se halló la carencia de una teoría explicativa que desvele el trasfondo de esta Reforma Educativa, además de docentes que no se identifican con dicha reforma, los aciertos y desaciertos de la misma. Los aportes amplían el universo teórico reflexivo de la sociedad, que tiene que ver con la educación peruana.</p>

The first Costa Rican records of Zammara calochroma Walker, 1858, Diceroprocta pusilla Davis, 1942, Diceroprocta ruatana (Distant, 1891), Ollanta modesta (Distant, 1881), Pacarina puella Davis, 1923, Pacarina schumanni Distant, 1905, Majeorona truncata Goding, 1925, Procollina medea (Stål, 1864), Carineta verna Distant, 1883, Carineta viridicollis (Germar, 1830), Herrera ancilla (Stål, 1864), Calyria cuna (Walker, 1850), Selymbria pluvialis Ramos & Wolda, 1985, and Conibosa occidentis (Walker, 1858) are provided. Diceroprocta digueti (Distant, 1906) and D. vitripennis (Say, 1830) are removed from the Costa Rican cicada fauna. The new records increase the known cicada diversity 45% bringing the total number of cicada species reported in Costa Rica to 45 species in 17 genera representing nine tribes and two subfamilies of the family Cicadidae.

Abstract:

AbstractPeru, in contrast to neighbouring Bolivia and Ecuador, has neither an important indigenous party nor a strong indigenous movement. Nevertheless, in recent years a growing gap has emerged in the voting patterns of indigenous and non-indigenous areas. This article maintains that this gap has developed because some Peruvian politicians, including Alberto Fujimori, Alejandro Toledo and Ollanta Humala, successfully wooed indigenous voters with a combination of ethnic and populist appeals. Like traditional populist leaders, they denounced the political elites, focused their campaigns on the poor and presented themselves as the saviours of Peru, but also forged ties to indigenous leaders, invoked indigenous symbols and embraced some ethnic demands. Although neither Fujimori, nor Toledo, nor Humala self-identified as indigenous, they successfully presented themselves as more ethnically proximate to the indigenous population than their main competitors, who represented the white Lima elite.

¿Cómo interpretar el triunfo electoral de partidos y alianzas políticas de tinte progresista y amplia base social en algunos países de la región? ¿Qué representan los gobiernos de Chávez, Evo Morales, los Kirchner, Lula, Correa, José Mugica y la victoria de Ollanta Humala en Perú? ¿Quiénes son los actores sociales que ganan las calles con nuevos gritos de protesta y demandas que exceden los reclamos puramente económicos? Para algunos autores no es más que el regreso del péndulo político a las cuestiones de carácter social luego de dos décadas de duros programas de modernización capitalista. Para otros se trata de un reflotar tardío de viejas banderas populistas al amparo de un clima de efervescencia social. Existe una tercera lectura que busca en los componentes novedosos de estos regímenes una definición con solidez teórica como para sustentar una caracterización que escape a las tentaciones de etiquetar, con rótulos gastados, fenómenos que exigen un ejercicio de reflexión más profunda. Desde esta última óptica, aquí se sostiene que se está en presencia de un intento de construcción -todavía preliminar- de una nueva hegemonía que actúe como contrapeso del bloque de poder estructurado por el gran capital nacional y los representantes locales de las corporaciones que controlan el mercado mundial.

Through the critique of the ideas and characteristics of these movies, the essay tries to build a image of Peru, a country where democracy returned in 1980 and since then he has had presidents accused of corruption and abuse of power such as Alan García, Alberto Fujimori, Alejandro Toledo and Ollanta Humala. The works of Chaski focus on poverty and vulnerability of children in Lima, a big city, capital of the country, in the 1980s. In this sense, they are previous stories to “cine de la marginalidad” that in the 1990s featured movies so realistic like Pizza, birra, faso, La vendedora de rosas, Ciudad de Dios or Ratas, ratones, rateros. Claudia Llosa´s work, called international attention when her second film, La teta asustada, won the Golden Bear, the main prize at Berlin Festival. This film, that establishes a necessary continuity to her first film, Madeinusa, is a portrait of the postwar years in the Peruvian Andes, those of the violence of Sendero Luminoso and how the Army designed a destructive strategy. The article looks for an overview of Peruvian society of the last thirty years, characterized for the structural poverty, terrorism, the development of neoliberal reforms and the corruption of the State at different levels.
