Abstract Richard Chandler's rediscovery of Olympia in 1766 was a turning point in Olympic history. Yet when Chandler reported this on his return to England, it was clear that the material evidence he had uncovered was negligible. Fifty objects, from original bronzes and maquettes by Antoni Gaudí, to modern furniture and appliances, and Cobi, Javier Mariscal's design adopted for the mascot of the Olympic Games in 1992. The exhibit was developed with Barcelona architects Juli Capella and Quim Larrea, and presented in honor of the 38th Annual Meeting of the IDB Board of Governors held in March, 1997 in Barcelona.
