Abstract:

Cet article se propose de revoir le débat classique en histoire des idées politiques entre Leo Strauss (et les « straussiens ») et l’école de Cambridge, en particulier Quentin Skinner, sous l’angle du mystère, du secret et de la chasse aux signes. La notion de « chasse », comprise à la fois comme cynégétique du pouvoir et pratique textuelle de la pensée politique, permet de comparer une méthode interprétative, celle de Strauss, qui prétend retrouver les questions essentielles de la philosophie dans une démarche mystérieuse de lecture « entre les lignes » avec celle du « contextualisme » de l’école de Cambridge qui propose plutôt la mise au jour du vouloir-dire de l’auteur au moyen d’une étude du contexte dans lequel il a écrit. À partir de cette comparaison, nous proposons de mettre à l’épreuve les affirmations des deux écoles par l’« onomasiologie » de leurs pratiques intellectuelles (traduction et commentaire de textes). En conclusion, nous proposons de voir ce débat comme le lieu d’une décision quant au mystère : en dévoiler la vérité ultime ou l’entretenir pour les générations à venir.

Resum: L’anàlisi comparativa de l’obra de Ciceró Paradoxa Stoicorum i la traducció del s. XV fetaper Ferran Valentí és d’alguna utilitat des de la perspectiva lingüística. En aquest article, examinemun element d’interès per a la semàntica del català: l’expressió de l’evidencialitat mitjançant algunsverbs com jutjar, estimar, pensar, sentir, etc. En aquest estudi, observem com tradueix Valentí elsverbs llatins en català i provem de reconèixer quins evidentials del català medieval són el resultatd’una interferència del llatí. Abstract:

Dialektologi adalah cabang ilmu bahasa yang khusus mempelajari variasi-variasi bahasa dalam aspek fonologi, morfologi, sintaksis, leksikon, semantik, onomasiologis, dan semasiologis, yang wujud pelafalannya ada pada dialek. Sumber kajian dialektologi kali ini adalah bahasa lisan yang dituliskan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan tradisi dan ritual kematian di Garut. Melalui pendekatan kualitatif dengan menerapkan metode deskriptif. Ditemukan bahwa terdapat tradisi dan ritual kematian pada masyarakat Garut yang sesuai dengan variasa bahasanya. Teknik pengumpulan data dalam penelitian ini diterapkan secara daring dengan cara membagikan kuesioner dan wawancara kepada informan yang memenuhi syarat. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pertama, masih tedapat tradisi dan ritual kematian di Garut dan kedua, terdapat variasi bahasa pada bidang fonetik, morfologi, leksikal, dan onomasiologis. Kemudian hasil data yang dianalisis tersebut disajikan melalui contoh-contoh yang relevan dengan keadaan tradisi dan ritual kematian dewasa ini.

O objetivo do presente artigo é tecer algumas considerações iniciais a respeito de uma proposta teórico-metodológica situada na interface entre a Semântica Cognitiva e a Lexicografia. Tal proposta, atualmente sendo desenvolvida em tese de doutorado, busca a aproximação entre a teoria da Semântica de Frames, de Charles J. Fillmore, com a onomasiologia e com a produção de dicionários onomasiológicos. A onomasiologia, tema de grande importância para a Semântica Estrutural, pode ser abordada, sob nosso viés, a partir do conceito de frame semântico introduzido por Fillmore. O artigo apresenta uma discussão teórica, buscando mostrar o potencial da interface, bem como as formas através das quais a Semântica de Frames pode auxiliar a prática lexicográfica. Por se tratar de uma teoria semântica baseada em conhecimento enciclopédico, a Semântica de Frames oportuniza um modelo de dicionário onomasiológico que leva em consideração o papel da experiência e da estrutura conceptual na descrição semântica.

Abstrak - Penelitian ini membahas variasi leksikal di Kabupaten Kebumen pada tataran leksikon. Kabupaten Kebumen secara geografis terletak diantara Kabupaten Banyumas dengan dialek ngapak dan Kabupaten Purworejo dengan dialek bandek. Titik pengamatan dalam penelitian ini sebanyak 5 desa yang merupakan daerah-daerah yang berada dekat dengan perbatasan Kabupaten Banyumas dan Kabupaten Purworejo yaitu Desa Rowokele, Desa Bumiagung, Desa Pejagoan, Desa Kutowinangun, Desa Tunggalroso. Pengumpulan data menggunakan metode simak dan cakap. Data-data yang telah terkumpul kemudian dianalisis menggunakan metode padan dengan teknik hubung banding membedakan dan teknik hubung banding menyamakan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa ditemukan variasi leksikon di Kabupaten Kebumen. Variasi leksikon meliputi gejala onomasiologis dan semasiologis. Variasi leksikal dipengaruhi oleh letak geografis pada titik daerah pengamatan. Selain itu ditemukan juga ternyata leksikon-leksikon tersebut dalam penggunaanya disesuaikan dengan kapan, diamana, dan kepada siapa mereka bertutur, jadi hal ini juga cukup mempengaruhi satu varisai leksikal digunakan di wilayah yang berbeda. karena Kabupaten Kebumen cukup mendapat pengaruh kedua Kabupaten yaitu Banyumas dan Purworejo, jadi tuturan-tuturan yang digunakan terkadang saling bertukar dan dipahami oleh masing-masing penutur maupun mitra tuturnya. Hal ini menjadi saling melengkapi dan bervariasi pada leksikonnya. Kata Kunci: variasi Leksikal, semasiologis, onomasiologis, Bahasa Jawa, Kabupaten Kebumen

Lors des séances de lecture-compréhension, les enseignants peuvent accompagner les apprentissages lexicaux dans différentes dimensions. Nous nous attachons à la distinction entre approche sémasiologique et approche onomasiologique. Dans une perspective sémasiologique, la classe étudie la signification d'un mot en allant du signe vers le concept, donnant ainsi une définition au mot en question. À l’inverse, l’approche onomasiologique thématise un concept pour aller vers une unité lexicale spécifiquement employée dans le texte. Les deux ne visent pas les mêmes objectifs et ne sollicitent pas les mêmes opérations cognitives chez les élèves. Une séquence expérimentale mise en oeuvre auprès d’élèves de deux à quatre ans se propose de mesurer les effets didactiques de chacune des deux approches. Notre corpus montre dans l’analyse qualitative de la parole des élèves que leurs réactions verbales ne sont pas de même nature selon la démarche empruntée par l’enseignant.

Abstract:

L’article propose une classification des expressions figées ayant un composant lexical-nom d’une partie du corps humain selon une grille onomasiologique à quatre classes notionnelles : état (physique / de l’âme / social), qualités et défauts humaines, relations interhumaines et activités humaines. La classification relève la position privilégiée dans la classe des états affectifs des sous-classes de l’amour, de la colère et de la peur ; en ce qui concerne les défauts, ce sont la paresse, la folie, la bêtise qui dénombre le plus d’occurrences. Au niveau des relations se détachent les sous-champs relatifs aux notions de frapper, d’importuner, d’exploiter et de haïr quelqu’un, tandis que dans la classe de actions, les meilleures représentées sont les sous-classes du mouvement et de la conversation. Du point du vue strictement linguistique, la répartition par champs notionnels met en évidence les relations sémantiques qu’établissent les expressions figées, tel que la synonymie et la polysémie. L’analyse s’avère utile dans le domaine de la didactique des langues étrangères, mais aussi dans l’étude des comportements et des attitudes mentales reflétés dans la langue, autant au niveau des langues romanes, qu’au domaine plus lange des langues en général.

Analisis data digunakan metode padan fonetis artikulatoris. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan sebagai berikut. Pertama, variasi fonologi berdasarkan pekerjaan, pendidikan, dan usia meliputi (1) korespondensi vokal, (2) korespondensi konsonan, (3) variasi vokal, variasi konsonan, (4) penambahan bunyi, dan (5) pengurangan bunyi. Abstract:

Este trabalho visa apresentar uma proposta teórico-metodológica de aplicação dos conceitos de onomasiologia e semasiologia para os estudos de neologia. Entendemos que a criação de um neologismo pode ser encarada como um processo onomasiológico (do conceito à denominação) e a interpretação de um neologismo, como um processo semasiológico (da denominação ao conceito). Em outros termos, o criador de um neologismo parte do conceito que tem em mente para encontrar a melhor forma de expressá-lo linguisticamente (onomasiologia); já o decodificador de um neologismo parte de uma expressão neológica para identificar o(s) significado(s) pretendido(s) por ela (semasiologia). Ao analisar o neologismo sob uma ou outra perspectivas, diferentes questões podem ser propostas: a) onomasiologicamente: quais são os recursos linguísticos à disposição do falante para criar um neologismo com o significado pretendido; quais recursos são mais adequados às intenções comunicativas específicas do criador do neologismo; que fatores fonológicos, sintáticos, semânticos, entre outros, influenciam a escolha do mecanismo de criação lexical; e b) semasiologicamente: quais são os significados possíveis de determinado neologismo; de quais mecanismos o ouvinte pode lançar mão para interpretar adequadamente o neologismo; etc. Exemplificamos nossa argumentação com a análise de neologismos integrantes da Base de neologismos do português brasileiro contemporâneo e do corpus composto por textos de blogues jornalísticos diversos que integram a dissertação de Ganança (2017).

Abstract:

Setting’ in Italian Dialects: an Onomasiological and Motivational Excursus. This study aims to identify and analyze the main lexotypes for the notion of ‘setting’ in Italian dialects. The comparative analysis of data offered by the Italian Linguistic Atlas and by some regional atlases reveals a fair variety of lexical types which in most cases are distributed in continuous and homogeneous areas, even though the most recent regional atlases reveal an evident process of Italianization signaled by the affirmation of the Italian type ‘tramontare’. On the motivational level, it can be observed that the most productive category is made up of verbal forms that express a descending motion for which the meaning ‘setting’ represents a metaphorical extension of the semantic value of the predicate.

Este artigo tem o objetivo de apresentar e discutir parte dos resultados da Tese de Doutorado do autor, cujo foco foi desenvolver bases para um modelo de dicionário onomasiológico baseados nos princípios da Semântica de Frames, conforme desenvolvida por Charles J. Fillmore. Neste artigo, tem-se o objetivo de mostrar parte da análise do frame Café Colonial. A metodologia utiliza a Linguística de Corpus. A partir da compilação de dois corpora, foi possível identificar os frames e as unidades lexicais do domínio estudado, o que permitiu a análise do frame citado, que demonstrou a relevância da Semântica de Frames para o campo da onomasiologia e da lexicografia onomasiológica.

Abstract:

In spite of the widespread use of the concept of “intercultural communication competence” in theoretical and empirical studies, there are problems with the development of this competence in real-time teaching process within local contexts. This research aims to analyze the situation regarding the development of intercultural communicative competence in the learning process in the context of Turkey and to evaluate the approach used as a starting point for developing linguistic and cultural awareness among the students of the Russian language and literature department in Ankara Haci Bayram Veli University. As part of the study, the author used the methods of deductive analysis, the analysis of the current state of the problem as well as the onomasiological and contrastive analysis. The author analyses the results of testing, based on the ideas of contrastive onomasiology and presented in a learning book for the Translation Course. The results show that a comparative analysis of the reality - language interaction models based on concepts such as “situation”, “perspective” and “reframing” helps develop the awareness of the students towards the different “thought patterns”. The main conclusion of this paper is the thesis that contrastive onomasiology contributes to the development of linguistic and cultural awareness, which is the first step towards intercultural communicative competence.

Abstract:

The paper is a practice to compile one of the parts of a dictionary of univerbs of the Russian language. Univerbal segment of lexicon of gamers, being cybergame players of Dota2, has determined object of the study. Subject of the study is declaring principles for lexicographic description of slangism univerbs. More and more active occurrence and functioning of univerbs in the context of different Russian-speaking slangism systems have stipulated the necessity to determine criteria to form lexical entry of each of the units under study. Objective of the study is to identify principles to form lexical entry of neological univerbs, to define its structure, and to generalize such basic characteristics of the units as unique and universal. Structural, descriptive, comparative, classificatory, and resumptive methods have been applied. Practical implication of the results may be used while studying neology of the Russian language. Conclusions. We believe that lexicographic description is the logic and required stage following the analytic studies of the units. They should be included in the corresponding dictionary type as a part of clearly structurized lexical entry demonstrating each unique and universal peculiarity of the units. Abstract:

This study aims to identify and analyse the main lexotypes for the notion ‘Adam’s apple’ in Italian dialects. The comparative analysis of data collected by the Linguistic and Ethnographic Atlas of Italy and Southern Switzerland and the Italian Linguistic Atlas reveals a fair variety of expressions which in most cases are distributed in continuous and homogeneous areas. Generally, according to the main denomination models that distinguish the parts of the human body, these nouns are the result of redetermination processes or metaphorical associations, especially with the plant world. On the motivational level the most productive category refers to the roundness and protrusion of the Adam’s apple, with interesting crossings with cultural references of biblical and popular origin.

The concept occurs in numerous studies and serves as an apt illustration of how a folk notion may evolve into a recognized scientific term. The paper gives a detailed account of the employment of the term, and shows that its signification differs noticeably in different scholarly contexts. The study further indicates that the concept has been considered “quasi-scientific” by several scholars, possibly because of its background as a lay explanation.

The article outlines the basic concepts of a cognitive approach in the study of language, including such a process as nomination, which is a topical issue for modern linguistics as well. The nomination is seen as a multidimensional phenomenon and a complex thought-and-speech process that objectifies the cognitive features of human activity and the structure properties of his or her consciousness.There is substantiated the importance of the cognitive-onomasiological approach involvement to the study of the nominative act, as well as there is characterized the development of the science onomasiology as a way to linguocognitivism. The assumption is made that the key term of the onomasiology is the concept of nomination, which needs to be interpreted in the gnoseo-semiotic and linguistic aspects. Nomination is characterized as a process that is constantly accompanied by human’s cognition the world, so the use of cognitive tools in the analysis of nominative units extends the boundaries of research and especially in the direction of terminological nomination.The terminological nomination also includes the processes of conceptualization and verbalization, but of professional knowledge, and it is the result of cognitive activity of specialists. The terminological unit represents the essential qualities of the nominated object that is why it is important to analyze the motivation of the meaning, as well as the notion of the internal form of the term, which is a formal-semantic relation of the nomination.As a result, it is stated that the ability of a linguistic sign is potentially limitless and depends on the person's cognition of reality. In addition to this,the nomination in the cognitive aspect is a verbalized form of knowledge about the world in general or within the framework of the certain professional activity of a person in particular.

Dentre os desafios pendentes da teoria metalexicográfica, um dos mais importantes é a geração de modelos de classificação de obras lexicográficas. Os modelos desenvolvidos até o presente momento obedecem a critérios impressionistas, funcionais ou linguísticos. O objetivo deste trabalho é apresentar um modelo de classificação de dicionários que integre dois critérios. Considerando que os dicionários são instrumentos linguísticos concebidos para um público-alvo determinado, uma proposta de classificação deveria levar em conta os critérios funcional e linguístico. No âmbito do critério funcional, estabelece-se uma distinção entre falantes nativos e falantes não nativos. No âmbito do critério linguístico, empregam-se parâmetros tais como o número de línguas, a oposição semasiologia/onomasiologia e uma concepção diassistêmica da linguagem. A proposta classificatória apresentada é do tipo taxonômico. Acredita-se que uma classificação taxonômica ofereça melhores resultados que uma proposta tipológica. É necessário salientar, no entanto, que ainda não é possível gerar uma classificação exaustiva de obras lexicográficas de validez universal.

Onomasiology occupies one of the important places among the sciences that study the lexical and semantic level of language, as it studies both the problems of formation of language nominations and the nominations themselves – the result of these processes. The process of naming, which is the subject of nomination theory, is a complex thought and speech process, which distinguishes several stages: the stage of isolation by consciousness of the object to be named, comprehension of the denoted and the choice of adequate linguistic means of naming. In this regard, of particular interest are derived names in which it is possible to establish onomasiological structure. Onomasiological analysis of nominative units allows to record the features of nominative human activity. Observations show that such an analysis is applicable to derivatives of universes (monosyllabic names), which are formed in different ways, biverbal and polyverbal names. An important issue in modern onomasiology is the study of the types of nominations that are formed on the basis of motivated features, and their relationship with the methods of nomination. The study aims to identify the features of these relationships within the considered thematic subgroups. Taking into account the developed typologies in this work, an attempt is made to consider the onomasiological structure of the names of the construction industry and to isolate the types according to the nature of the onomasiological feature. It is possible to distinguish onomasiological feature for each derived name by reproducing the nominative judgment. Аmong the noun building terminological units, nominations belonging to the promotional type, object type, locative type and qualifying type were singled out. In addition, in the action type there are action-object and adjective-action subtypes. Types and subtypes are considered in connection with nomination methods where derivational means play an important role. The account of affixes allows to correlate language units with character of an onomasiological sign and to establish, what on value of group of subject names have arisen by means of this or that sign and what derivational means are used as bases at these signs.

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis perbedaan dialek Lemukih dan Dencarik dalam hal variasi fonologis dan leksikal. Penelitian ini adalah penelitian kualitatif deskriptif. Dalam penelitian ini, ada 3 informan sebagai sampel dari desa Lemukih dan 3 informan sebagai sampel dari desa Dencarik. Semua informan dipilih berdasarkan seperangkat kriteria. Data yang diperoleh dikumpulkan berdasarkan empat instrumen, yaitu: peneliti, lembar observasi, panduan wawancara, daftar kata (swadesh dan nothofer). Penelitian ini juga menggunakan tiga teknik yaitu: observasi, pencatatan, dan wawancara. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa, 1) terdapat 9 indikasi variasi fonologis, seperti; aphaeresis, syncope, apocope, prosthesis, epenthesis, paragoge, haplology, disimilasi, asimilasi. Variasi fonologis yang tidak ditemukan: fortifikasi lenition, unpacking, dan metathesis, 2) terdapat 4 indikasi variasi leksikal, seperti; variasi semasiologis, variasi onomasiologis, variasi formal dan variasi kontekstual. Ada 234 leksikon yang persis sama dan ada 112 leksikon yang memiliki kemiripan dari kedua dialek Lemukih dan Dencarik, bisa dijadikan bukti bahwa menyatukan dialek Lemukih dan Dencarik. Dan untuk leksikon yang berbeda ditemukan bahwa ada 322 leksikon yang dapat digolongkan sebagai leksikon yang membedakan kedua dialek Lemukih dan Dencarik.

Undersøgelsen sammenligner ordforrådet inden for tre centrale arbejdsprocesser i det førindustrielle bondesamfund: kornhøst, smørfremstilling og udkørsel af gødning, for at få indtryk af hvor forskelligartet terminologien er inden for ømålsområdet, og om de almindeligt udbredte ord har særlige karakteristika. Et særligt fokus for artiklen er at undersøge i hvor høj grad Storebælt udgør en terminologisk grænse. Undersøgelsen bygger primært på Ømålsordbogen og dens seddelsamling. Abstract:

Research on possessive suffixes in Ob-Ugric languages, as in most Uralic languages, has primarily viewed them in the light of their terminological denomination – i.e., as markers of possessive relations, traditionally referred to as their prototypic use. Whenever this onomasiology-based approach fails, the usage of possessive suffixes is considered non-prototypical; a secondary or determinative function of possessive suffixes is cited. In my paper, I will claim that the original function of possessive suffixes in Ob-Ugric languages is not to denote a possessive relation and, in consequence, there is no concept of non-prototypical use. Instead, possessive suffixes denote a relation between two entities, whose default interpretation is a possessive one. I will claim that both, the prototypic and the non-prototypic use is an outcome of the very same property of possessive suffixes, which is to establish reference. In consequence, possessive suffixes play an important role in information structure.

Dentre os métodos que a Filologia Românica usa em suas pesquisas, escolhemos o onomasiológico, que tem pontos em comum com o da geografia linguística, do Sachen und Wörter e o neolinguístico, que se afigurava como o mais apto em vista de seu objetivo, pois a onomasiologia busca explicar as denominações das coisas; investiga os nomes atribuídos aos objetos, dentro de um domínio semântico. Para o desenvolvimento da pesquisa utilizamos como aporte teóricos IORDAN ( 1962), DARMESTER ( 1937), BYNON( 1981) , CARRETER( 1971) dentre outros estudiosos. Abstract:

La présente réflexion porte sur les énoncés définitoires, voire plus largement explicatifs, présents dans des textes publiés. L’auteur s’intéresse à la dimension structurale de l’énoncé définitoire – sa forme, son marquage, son empan, son bornage textuel – et elle adopte un point de vue pragmatique pour analyser les visées discursives de l’énoncé définitoire, afin de mettre en évidence les stratégies rédactionnelles mises en œuvre. En outre, l’énoncé définitoire est évalué à l’aune de son apport documentaire intratextuel et de son rôle dans la construction du sens du texte. Pour illustrer son analyse, l’auteur présente des exemples extraits d’articles de presse très récents (2021), considérant que la presse est à la fois une caisse de résonnance et un puissant relais de l’évolution de la langue. De fait, l’apparition de nouvelles occurrences de termes et notions justifie l’inclusion d’énoncés définitoires. Enfin en conclusion, l’auteur tire de cette réflexion quelques leçons utiles pour le traducteur, tant dans la phase sémasiologique (comprendre) que dans la phase onomasiologique (faire comprendre) de l’opération traduisante.
