Abstract:
AbstractLet $L^{2}=L^{2}(D,rdrd\theta/\pi)$ be the Lebesgue space on the open unit disc $D$ and let $L_{a}^2=L^{2}\cap\mathrm{Hol}(D)$ be a Bergman space on $D$. In this paper, we are interested in a closed subspace $\mathcal{M}$ of $L^{2}$ which is invariant under the multiplication by the coordinate function $z$, and a Hankel-type operator from $L_{a}^2$ to $\mathcal{M}^\bot$. In particular, we study an invariant subspace $\mathcal{M}$ such that there does not exist a finite-rank Hankel-type operator except a zero operator.

Abstract:
Summary Józef Białas and Yatsuka Nakamura has completely formalized a proof of Urysohn’s lemma in the article [4], in the context of a topological space defined via open sets. In the Mizar Mathematical Library (MML), the topological space is defined in this way by Beata Padlewska and Agata Darmochwał in the article [18]. In [7] the topological space is defined via neighborhoods. It is well known that these definitions are equivalent [5, 6]. In the definitions, an abstract structure (i.e. the article [17, STRUCT 0] and its descendants, all of them directly or indirectly using Mizar structures [3]) have been used (see [10], [9]). The first topological definition is based on the Mizar structure TopStruct and the topological space defined via neighborhoods with the Mizar structure: FMT Space Str. To emphasize the notion of a neighborhood, we rename FMT TopSpace (topology from neighbourhoods) to NTopSpace (a neighborhood topological space). Using Mizar [2], we transport the Urysohn’s lemma from TopSpace to NTop-Space. In some cases, Mizar allows certain techniques for transporting proofs, definitions or theorems. Generally speaking, there is no such automatic translating. In Coq, Isabelle/HOL or homotopy type theory transport is also studied, sometimes with a more systematic aim [14], [21], [11], [12], [8], [19]. In [1], two co-existing Isabelle libraries: Isabelle/HOL and Isabelle/Mizar, have been aligned in a single foundation in the Isabelle logical framework. In the MML, they have been used since the beginning: reconsider, registration, cluster, others were later implemented [13]: identify. In some proofs, it is possible to define particular functors between different structures, mainly useful when results are already obtained in a given structure. This technique is used, for example, in [15] to define two functors MXR2MXF and MXF2MXF between Matrix of REAL and Matrix of F-Real and to transport the definition of the addition from one structure to the other: [...] A + B -> Matrix of REAL equals MXF2MXR ((MXR2MXF A) + (MXR2MXF B)) [...]. In this paper, first we align the necessary topological concepts. For the formalization, we were inspired by the works of Claude Wagschal [20]. It allows us to transport more naturally the Urysohn’s lemma ([4, URYSOHN3:20]) to the topological space defined via neighborhoods. Nakasho and Shidama have developed a solution to explore the notions introduced in various ways https://mimosa-project.github.io/mmlreference/current/ [16]. The definitions can be directly linked in the HTML version of the Mizar library (example: Urysohn’s lemma http://mizar.org/version/current/html/urysohn3.html#T20).

Abstract:
Objective To compare the effectiveness of 10% povidone iodineto that of 70% alcohol in umbilical cord care of newborn infants. Methods This open label clinical trial was conducted in PirngadiHospital, Medan from July to September 2003. Newborn infantswho fulfilled inclusion criteria were randomly allocated to umbili-cal cord care using 10% povidone iodine or 70% alcohol. Themain outcome measures were omphalitis prevalence, microor-ganism colonization, and time to umbilical cord separation. Cultureof the umbilical cord swab was taken in the first 48-72 hoursafter birth. The umbilical cord was observed daily during hospital-ization and every other day after discharge until cord separation.Statistical analysis was done using chi-square test and indepen-dent t-test.Results There were 54 infants in the povidone iodine group and52 infants in the alcohol group. Omphalitis was absent in bothgroups. Fourteen percent of subjects in the povidone iodine groupshowed no microorganism growth, compared to 7% in the alco-hol group. Staphylococcus aureus colonization was found in10% of subjects in the povidone iodine group and 23% of sub-jects in the alcohol group. The prevalence of Escherichia colicolonization was 41% and 47% in the povidone iodine and alco-hol groups, respectively. There was no statistically significantdifference between both groups in bacterial colonization (P=0.135).Mean time to umbilical cord separation was 6.44 days in thepovidone iodine group and 6.13 days in the alcohol group(P=0.431).Conclusion These results suggest that 10% povidone iodineand 70% alcohol are equally effective in umbilical cord care ofnewborn infants

Abstract:
Various studies have been conducted on the use of social media but there is a gap in the literature with regard to social media use in South Africa as well as the difference in social media usage between Generation Y and older students. Thus the main purpose of this article is to determine how open distance learning (ODL) students use social media and if age makes a difference in social media usage. An online self-administered questionnaire was sent to a sample of first year ODL students via email that consisted of a Likert scale that surveyed how they used social media. The results indicate that students mostly use social media for entertainment purposes. A slight difference in the use of social media by Generation Y students and older students are found. Generation Y use social media mainly for entertainment purposes whereas older students indicate that they use it more for information seeking purposes. By taking these results into consideration, organizations can develop more tailored marketing messages to the consumers in the different age groups. If they want to reach Generation Y with a marketing message it should be more entertaining. Whereas marketing message aimed at older students should be in the form of more informative messages

Abstract:
This article introduces the French philosopher Jean-Luc Nancy to theologians by placing him in critical dialogue with Karl Rahner. It examines how Nancy's deconstruction of Christianity accuses Western reason, including Christianity, of forgetting the body and supporting an ethos of disembodiment. Nancy proposes a new opening of reason (déclosion, “dis-closure”) and a corresponding praxis (“adoration”). This reason and praxis involve an exit from Christianity. Rahnerian essays on matter, spirit, and sacramentality demonstrate that while Christianity has, historically, fallen prey to the pathologies Nancy identifies, it also has thought in terms of something like dis-closed reason and has practiced something like “adoration.” While Nancy's insistence on the need for an exit from Christianity is not necessarily well posed, his deconstruction of Christianity can help Christian theologians as they develop thinking that supports an ethos sensitive to the body—or that keeps the body's sense open.

Abstract:
Strategy development has traditionally been exclusive and secretive. Social software offers new opportunities to harness the collective intelligence of the crowd within organizations and allows more open, participatory modes of strategizing. This paper describes this new phenomenon of open strategy though crowdsourcing and discusses its implications for research and practice. It draws on first examples of crowdsourcing strategy and is further based on observations and theoretical reflections. To understand the phenomenon with its requirements and consequences, a number of questions and challenges are identified which remain to be investigated. These include how the process of opening up needs to be designed, how individuals can be motivated to engage, for which topics and under which conditions crowdsourcing strategy is a suitable approach, how strategies emerge in such initiatives, the appropriate role of management, and how corporate culture affects and is affected by crowdsourcing strategy. Open strategy through crowdsourcing is a newly emerging empirical phenomenon, which seems to fundamentally change the strategist’s work. More open and inclusive ways of strategizing not only offer new opportunities, but also create some challenges for organizations. This paper deepens the insights in this new phenomenon and identifies seven topics critical for research and management practice. Keywords: strategy, crowdsourcing, collective intelligence. Abstract:
“Today's challenges are no longer defined by local or national borders. They are glocal, both global and local. Borders are no longer what they used to be. That should not scare us. Because at the center of Christianity, there is a God crossing the most dramatic border of all: the one between divine and human. Transgression of borders always entails ‘Berührungsangst,’ the anxiety of touching and being touched by what is different, strange, other. As people of faith, we can live with these anxieties, remaining centered in the Gospel of the incarnated Christ and open, very much open, to the world. And so, united in prayer for God's creation and the church of Jesus Christ, we say with confidence: Veni Creator Spiritus, Come Creator Spirit.”

AbstractLetLbe a one-to-one operator of type ω inL2(ℝn), with ω∈[0, π/2), which has a bounded holomorphic functional calculus and satisfies the Davies–Gaffney estimates. Letp(·): ℝn→(0, 1] be a variable exponent function satisfying the globally log-Hölder continuous condition. In this article, the authors introduce the variable Hardy space$H_L^{p(\cdot )} ({\open R}^n)$associated withL. By means of variable tent spaces, the authors establish the molecular characterization of$H_L^{p(\cdot )} ({\open R}^n)$. Then the authors show that the dual space of$H_L^{p(\cdot )} ({\open R}^n)$is the bounded mean oscillation (BMO)-type space${\rm BM}{\rm O}_{p(\cdot ),{\kern 1pt} L^ * }({\open R}^n)$, whereL* denotes the adjoint operator ofL. In particular, whenLis the second-order divergence form elliptic operator with complex bounded measurable coefficients, the authors obtain the non-tangential maximal function characterization of$H_L^{p(\cdot )} ({\open R}^n)$and show that the fractional integralL−αfor α∈(0, (1/2)] is bounded from$H_L^{p(\cdot )} ({\open R}^n)$to$H_L^{q(\cdot )} ({\open R}^n)$with (1/p(·))−(1/q(·))=2α/n, and the Riesz transform ∇L−1/2is bounded from$H_L^{p(\cdot )} ({\open R}^n)$to the variable Hardy spaceHp(·)(ℝn).

We study Dirac commutators of canonical variables on D-branes with a constant Neveu–Schwarz two-form field by using the Dirac constraint quantization method, and point out some subtleties appearing in previous works in analyzing constraint structure of the brane system. Overcoming some ad hoc procedures, we obtain desirable noncommutative coordinates exactly compatible with the result of the conformal field theory in recent literatures. Furthermore, we find interesting commutator relations of other canonical variables.

Abstract. Hydrological observatories bear a lot of resemblance to the more traditional research catchment concept, but tend to differ in providing more long-term facilities that transcend the lifetime of individual projects, are more strongly geared towards performing interdisciplinary research, and are often designed as networks to assist in performing collaborative science. This paper illustrates how the experimental and monitoring set-up of an observatory, the 66 ha Hydrological Open Air Laboratory (HOAL) in Petzenkirchen, Lower Austria, has been established in a way that allows meaningful hypothesis testing. The overarching science questions guided site selection, identification of dissertation topics and the base monitoring. The specific hypotheses guided the dedicated monitoring and sampling, individual experiments, and repeated experiments with controlled boundary conditions. The purpose of the HOAL is to advance the understanding of water-related flow and transport processes involving sediments, nutrients and microbes in small catchments. The HOAL catchment is ideally suited for this purpose, because it features a range of different runoff generation processes (surface runoff, springs, tile drains, wetlands), the nutrient inputs are known, and it is convenient from a logistic point of view as all instruments can be connected to the power grid and a high-speed glassfibre local area network (LAN). The multitude of runoff generation mechanisms in the catchment provides a genuine laboratory where hypotheses of flow and transport can be tested, either by controlled experiments or by contrasting sub-regions of different characteristics. This diversity also ensures that the HOAL is representative of a range of catchments around the world, and the specific process findings from the HOAL are applicable to a variety of agricultural catchment settings. The HOAL is operated jointly by the Vienna University of Technology and the Federal Agency for Water Management and takes advantage of the Vienna Doctoral Programme on Water Resource Systems funded by the Austrian Science Funds. The paper presents the science strategy of the set-up of the observatory, discusses the implementation of the HOAL, gives examples of the hypothesis testing and summarises the lessons learned. The paper concludes with an outlook on future developments.

Abstract:
Communication between vehicles and their environment (i.e., vehicle-to-everything or V2X communication) in vehicular ad hoc networks (VANETs) has become of particular importance for smart cities. However, economic challenges, such as the cost incurred by data sharing (e.g., due to power consumption), hinder the integration of data sharing in open systems into smart city applications, such as dynamic environmental zones. Moving from open data sharing to open data trading can address the economic challenges and incentivize vehicle drivers to share their data. In this context, integrating distributed ledger technology (DLT) into open systems for data trading is promising for reducing the transaction cost of payments in data trading, avoiding dependencies on third parties, and guaranteeing openness. However, because the integration of DLT conflicts with the short available communication time between fast moving objects in VANETs, it remains unclear how open data trading in VANETs using DLT should be designed to be viable. In this work, we present a system design for data trading in VANETs using DLT. We measure the required communication time for data trading between a vehicle and a roadside unit in a real scenario and estimate the associated cost. Our results show that the proposed system design is technically feasible and economically viable.

While I am not claiming credit for this year's panel session devoted to the question of intercommunion in the context of College Theology Society's convention with Baptist participation, I am deeply gratified that we as the church's theologians, Baptist and Catholic, are now raising the question in this manner, and that Professor Freeman has made clear for us what the ground rules seem to be for playing the hypothetical game of Baptist-Catholic intercommunion at a CTS convention. I have nothing to add to his spot-on summary of the Baptist “rules” for open communion and the Catholic “rules” for exceptional intercommunion articulated in the documents he has cited.

Abstract:
Spinach ( Spinacia oleracia) and amaranth ( Amaranthus tricolor) leaves were stored in polyethylene bags and without packing for 24 and 48 hours in a refrigerator at 5°C and 30°C in polyethylene bags. The fresh leaves were also dried (oven and sun), blanched (5, 10 and 15 min) and cooked in an open pan and a pressure cooker. The processed leaves were analysed for total iron, its availability and antinutrient content. The iron content of these leaves varied from 26.54 to 34.14 mg/l00g, dry weight and its HCl-extractability and in vitro availability were 62.11–67.18% and 3.03–3.97% of total respectively. Drying and storage had no significant effect on total iron content, Hel-extractability and availability ( in vitro), while blanching and cooking resulted in significant improvement of iron availability, and a significant reduction in oxalic acid content, while only blanching significantly reduced phytic acid and polyphenol contents. Thus cooking and blanching are good ways to improve HCl-extractability and in vitro availability of iron.

Abstract:
This article critically examines the views of Jacques Dupuis, Gavin D'Costa, and Francis Sullivan on the church's intercession for those of other living faiths or of no faith at all. After clarifying what the Scholastic terminology of “final” and “moral” causality means, it shows how 1 Timothy and Vatican II's Constitution on the Sacred Liturgy elucidate intercession for “others.” Here a rich tradition of philosophical-theological reflection on the efficacy of prayer can no longer be ignored. Finally, intercession for “others” is inspired by love for them, and brings the faithful to share in Christ's priestly ministry for the whole world. In these ways, the article aspires to open up new themes for the theology of religions.

Abstract:
Objectives To evaluate hidden blood loss (HBL) and its possible risk factors among patients following expansive open-door laminoplasty (EOLP) for multilevel, cervical spondylotic myelopathy. Methods This was a retrospective analysis of data from patients over 18 years of age who underwent posterior cervical EOLP (from C3-C6) in our department from January 2017 to July 2018. HBL was calculated by deducting the observed perioperative blood loss from the calculated total blood loss (TBL) based on the fall in haematocrit level. Results 45 patients (35 men and 10 women) were identified. Mean ± SD HBL was 337.2 ± 187.8 ml, which was 46.8% of the total perioperative blood loss (705.2 ± 269.6 ml). Twenty-three patients developed postoperative anaemia. Posterior cervical soft tissue was positively correlated with both TBL and hidden blood loss (HBL) and hypertension was positively correlated with TBL. Conclusions HBL following cervical EOLP was significant and should be recognised as a detrimental factor to patient safety during the perioperative period, especially in patients with thick posterior cervical soft tissue.

“Today, our world is experiencing a tragic famine of hope. How much pain is all around us, how much emptiness, how much inconsolable grief. Let us, then, become messengers of the comfort bestowed by the Spirit. Let us radiate hope, and the Lord will open new paths as we journey toward the future.” These challenging and uplifting words by His Holiness Pope Francis were part of an ecumenical service with the Archbishops of Canterbury and York and the Coptic Archbishop of London this year. Preaching during the impact of COVID-19 worldwide, Pope Francis’ message also frames the challenges and hopes of Anglican/Episcopal-Roman Catholic dialogue in the twenty-five years since Pope John Paul II's encyclical Ut Unum Sint (UUS), “That They May Be One.”

Abstract:
INTRODUCTION The incidence of conversion from a laparoscopic to an open approach during nephrectomy is reported at 6-8%. 1 Conversion to an open procedure may be necessary to control haemorrhage or allow progress in dissection but the well established benefits of minimally invasive surgery (MIS) are obviously lost. Hand-assisted laparoscopy (HAL) also offers the benefits to the patient of MIS. We have used HAL to convert from the pure laparoscopic approach during difficult nephrectomies, rather than converting to traditional open surgery. MATERIALS AND METHODS A review of our prospective database was carried out to identify any conversions from the pure laparoscopic approach during nephrectomy or nephroureterectomy for benign or malignant disease. RESULTS A total of 87 laparoscopic nephrectomies (LNs) were identified over a 3-year period. There were five conversions to the HAL approach (5.7%) and no conversions to open surgery. The reason for conversion was failure to progress in all five cases. Operative times averaged 190 minutes with blood loss of 180ml. Histology revealed xanthogranulomatous pyelonephritis in four cases and renal cell carcinoma in one case. The median postoperative stay was 4 days. CONCLUSIONS Conversion to HAL during LN maintains the benefits of MIS in difficult nephrectomy and should be considered prior to converting to open surgery.
