Abstract:
Availability is a well-established and widely recognized way of describing the work-producing potential of energy systems. A first-law analysis is helpful in setting the energy context and ensuring that energy flows balance, but it is a second-law analysis based on availability that places an upper bound on the potential work output. In this analysis a new approach to thermal management intended for vehicle propulsion is examined and developed. Starting with a simple analysis of the chemical energy flow, a realistic heat exchange performance is introduced to establish a practical architecture.

The paper presents an approach for the identification of the parameters of an Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV), specifically a quadrotor using experiments in a CAD environment. A linearized control model is proposed to create a global model that operates in all operation range. Usually, in this type of systems a linear time invariant (LTI) controller is used, and then a lineal control model around each operating point is needed to the design of the controller. In this study, a linear control model suitable in each operating point is developed and identified. This serial of LTI control model can b

In the long-term operation of hydropower reservoirs, operating rules have been used widely to decide reservoir operation because they can help operators make an approximately optimal decision with limited runoff information. However, the problems faced by reservoir managers is how to make and select an efficient operating rule properly. This study focuses on identifying efficient and reliable operating rules for the long-term operation of hydropower reservoirs using system dynamics (SD) approach. By using such languages, we can establish correctness properties relating to memory-safety through our choice of implementation language alone. Unfortunately, the language characteristics that make purely functional languages safe also make them more difficult to apply in a low-level domain like operating systems construction. Abstract:
Faults in bearings usually manifest as marginal defects that intensify over time, allowing for well-informed preventative actions with early Fault Detection and Diagnosis (FDD) protocols. Detection of the fault begins with capturing, for example, acceleration signals from a machine. Traditionally, handpicked descriptive statistical features (mean, RMS, skewness, kurtosis, etc.) or spectral diagrams obtained from these signals are then used for FDD. However, machine signals are often generated under non-stationary operating conditions of varying loads and speeds, requiring further intervention.
