Abstract:
The purpose of this thesis is to generalize Filippov's operation, and to get more useful results. It includes two main parts: The C-Filippov operation for the finite and countable cases and the Filippov operation with different measures. In the first chapter, we give brief information about the importance of Filippov's operation, our goal and the ideas behind our generalizations. In the second chapter, we give some sufficient background notes. In the third chapter, we introduce the Filippov operation, explain how to calculate the Filippov of a function and give some sufficient properties of it

The answer to this question has eluded mathematicians for many years and a simple characterization of those algebras which are dualizable (in a reasonable way) seems an unlikely feat. I will consider the question "Which finite (operational) algebras admit a duality which may be expressed in a purely operational form?". This is a substantially less ambitious question, for there are many algebras which are dualizable but not operationally so. However, it does have a clear answer.

Li, Furong. "Optimal economic operation of electric power systems using genetic based algorithms." Thesis, Liverpool John Moores University, 1996. http://researchonline.ljmu.ac.uk/5567/.

Abstract:
The thesis explores the potential of Genetic Algorithms (GAs) for optimising the operation of electric power systems. It discusses methods which have resulted in significant direct cost saving in operating an electric power system. In particular, the thesis demonstrates the simple search procedure and the powerful search ability of Gas in multi-modal, multi-objective problems, which are resisted by the most well known conventional techniques. Special emphasis has been given to the effectiveness of the enhanced genetic based algorithms and the importance of sophisticated problem structures. Fin

Abstract:
This thesis aims to investigate the possibility if hidden Markov models (HMM) can be used for inference about operational risk given financial time series data of Auditchanges and Audit prices. The models tested vary in the number of possible states each underlying latent process can take. All models have been implemented usingR-statisticalsoftware along with the depmixS4 package. From the evaluation of the work, it was shown that there was a clear difference between the states, according to the the types of observation they emitted, for the final model. The thesis shows that the biggest facto

By first looking at the orthonormal basis: Γ = {∑i 4 ibi ∈{0, 1}, finite sums} and the related orthonormal basis 5Γ = {5∑i 4i bi : bi ∈ {0, 1}, finite sums} we find several interesting relationships with the unitary matrix Uα,β arising from the operator U: Γ → 5Γ. Further, we investigate the relationships between U and the operators So : Γ → 4Γ defined by Soe4γ where eγ = e2ΠiΓ and S1: Γ → 4Γ+1 defined by S1eγ = e4γ+1. Most intriguing, we found that when taking powers of the aforementioned Uα,β matrix that although there are infinitely many 1's occurri

The study was to find out context of concepts and problem posing analysis from the four versions of elementary school mathematics textbook. Objects of this study were the 9-year Integrated Curriculum elementary school mathematics textbooks and workbooks, including Kang-Hsuan, Nan-Yi, Han-Lin and national-edition. The method of research is “content analysis”, the research unit is the first question of problem posing from each sub-concepts. Problem posing was analyzed
