Region crossing change (RCC) is an operation on link diagrams in which all crossings incident to a selected region are changed. Two diagrams are called RCC-equivalent if one can be transformed to the other via a sequence of RCCs. RCC is an unknotting operation but not an unlinking operation. Abstract:
The approaches to justification of design diagrams of volumetric hydropercussive machines are presented. Simulation models of hydraulic impact systems are constructed and investigated. It is found that the diagram with an intermediate chamber allows decreasing peak pressure in the idle stroke chamber by two times, compared with the diagram without an intermediate chamber. It is concluded that hydropercussive machine with an elastic valve and intermediate chamber would hardly decrease the velocity of striking part in the end of power stroke.

A Rieke diagram [1] is a magnetron characteristic that visualizes the dependence of the generated frequency fg and the net delivered power PL on the load reflection coefficient GR. GR is defined in a specific magnetron-to-waveguide coupling structure called the standard or reference launcher (Fig. 1). The dynamic operation of a MEMS heat engine has been studied using a linear transfer function approach. The engine was operated at resonance and shown to produce a cycle with a PV diagram. The Francis Hydro Turbine Performance is normally presented in the form of Hill Curves with Unit Head, Unit Flow and Unit Power etc. The Hill Curves give hydraulic performance at variety of flow, head and speed. The cavitation performance of the turbine is marked by curves additionally put on the Hill Curves. Though the turbine could be operated over the entire range specified on the Hill Curves, the site reports have indicated that the operation of turbine is restricted to what is called safe operating zone on Hill Curves.
