All current laser pig-tailing methods employ either glue or a weld to secure the fibre in place. This leads to difficulty in attaining initial alignment; to movement during bonding and to instability throughout the service life. Precautions are also required to avoid device damage due to glue wicking. The approach taken in the present research is to adopt a mechanical solution, eliminating the use of either glue or a weld. In addition, this must be integrated in one part with rest of the optical system to form a compatible solution. A novel solution is developed using silicon nitride clips whi

We have demonstrated nanostructures of x-ray grating device with scanning probe lithography technique. Grating structures were generated by atomic force microscopy (AFM) with biased tip which transfer ultrathin Si3N4 which thickness is about 5nm into SiOx on (100) oriented Si wafer and then followed by dry etching. A zone plate has been fabricated by e-beam direct writing. The zone plate, a diameter of 200μm, consist

When the sinusoidal waves was applied to the LC cell, the output sinusoidal waveforms with double or quadratic frequency of the input signal were generated. Also, the output amplitudes and offsets exhibit periodic oscillations. The applied voltage and the backflow effect contribute to the observed phenomena, and the experimental results were compared and explained qualitatively with the simulation results.
