In recent years, due to environmental awareness regarding the harmfulness of polymeric materials, there has been a growing interest in using papers, especially those from alternative raw materials. The importance of using all available raw materials is imperative today. Raw materials that were once viewed as waste are now of great importance because they have the ability to replace raw materials that are used irrationally or are lacking. Abstract:
Surrogate modeling techniques are widely employed in solving constrained expensive black-box optimization problems. Therein, Kriging is among the most popular surrogates in which the trend function is considered as a constant mean. However, it also encounters several challenges related to capturing the overall trend with a relatively limited number of function evaluations as well as searching feasible points with complex or discontinuous feasible regions. To address this above issue, this paper presents an improved surrogate blind Kriging (IBK) and a combined infill strategy to find the optima

The system under study is composed of two DC-DC converters a boost and Buck converter. The first one is used to extract the maximum power from the PV array through a novel variable step size P&O based MPPT offering a high tracking accuracy compared to classical approaches such PO and INC. The second converters aim at regulating the output voltage and current that feeds the battery using a robust optimal PI (O-PI) which has a faster time response and high ac

The Optimal Foraging Theory was used to identify possible patterns in bark extraction and the selective cutting ofAnadenanthera colubrina(Angico), a medicinal plant. The hypotheses were built on two approaches: selection of collection place and bark exploitation occurrence in only one of these resource areas. The results suggest that the distance that must be traveled to reach each gathering site determines the extent of the extraction process, showing that people minimize the time and energy spent inA. colubrinacollection. The availability of each site appears not to influence the operation.

Many studies generated PM2.5 concentration networks with resolutions of 3 km or 10 km. However, the relatively coarse resolution of the satellite AOD products make it difficult to determine the fine-scale characteristics of PM2.5 distributions that are important for urban air quality analysis.
