Abstract:
Stone tool assemblage variability is considered a reliable proxy measure of adaptive variability. Raw material richness, transport distances, and the character of transported technologies are thought to signal (1) variation in raw material selectivity based on material quality and abundance, (2) optimization of time and energy costs associated with procurement of stone from spatially dispersed sources, (3) planning depth that weaves raw material procurement forays into foraging activities, and (4) risk minimization that sees materials transported in quantities and forms that are energetically economical and least likely to fail. This paper dispenses with assumptions that raw material type and abundance play any role in the organization of mobility and raw material procurement strategies. Rather, a behaviorally neutral agent-based model is developed involving a forager engaged in a random walk within a uniform environment. Raw material procurement in the model is dependent only upon random encounters with stone sources and the amount of available space in the mobile toolkit. Simulated richness-sample size relationships, frequencies of raw material transfers as a function of distance from source, and both quantity-distance and reduction intensity-distance relationships are qualitatively similar to commonly observed archaeological patterns. In some archaeological cases it may be difficult to reject the neutral model. At best, failure to reject the neutral model may mean that intervening processes (e.g., depositional time-averaging) have erased high-frequency adaptive signals in the data. At worst, we may have to admit the possibility that Paleolithic behavioral adaptations were sometimes not responsive to differences between stone raw material types in the ways implied by current archaeological theory.

Purpose In the data-driven era, the quality of the data exchanged between suppliers and buyer can enhance the buyer’s ability to appropriately cope with the risks and uncertainties associated with raw material purchasing. This paper aims to address the issue of supplier selection and purchasing planning considering the quality of data by benefiting from suppliers’ synergistic effects. Design/methodology/approach An approach is proposed to measure data visibility’s total value using a multi-stage algorithm. A multi-objective mathematical optimization model is then developed to determine the optimal integrated purchasing plan in a multi-product setting under risk. The model contemplates three essential objective functions, i.e. maximizing total data quality and quantity level, minimizing purchasing risks and minimizing total costs. Findings With emerging competitive areas, in the presence of industry 4.0, internet of things and big data, high data quality can improve the process of supply chain decision-making. This paper supports the managers for the procurement planning of modern organizations under risk and thus provides an in-depth understanding for the enterprises having the readiness for industry 4.0 transformation. Originality/value Various data quality attributes are comprehensively subjected to deeper analysis. An applicable procedure is proposed to determine the total value of data quality and quantity required for supplier selection. Besides, a novel multi-objective optimization model is developed to determine the purchasing plan under risk.

Abstract:
PT ASA is a leather tanning company. Almost 65% of the company's assets are allocated for the procurement of raw leather, which consists of goat and sheepskin. In addition to being expensive, the availability of raw leather is also very limited. The company faces a trade-off where, on one hand, the raw material is easily decayed, but on the other hand, its availability is extremely limited, and if there is not enough inventory, the production process will be disrupted. In this research, a multi-objective optimization model is developed for controlling the inventory of raw leather using the Fuzzy Goal Programming approach. The objectives to be achieved are to minimize the total inventory cost, maximize the total quantity of raw leather that meets standards, and minimize the total cost of losses due to decayed raw leather. Based on the calculations, the fuzzy goal programming membership function value is obtained at 0.9155, with a total inventory cost over the planning horizon of IDR 10,341,630,000, a total of 1,279,542 sq ft of raw leather meeting standards, and a total loss cost due to decayed raw leather of IDR 142,911,691.

Abstract:
Supply Chain Management plays a crucial part in the operations of a company's business organization. Through the implementation of supply chain management, industries can mitigate losses and subsequently increase their profitability. Companies can facilitate the collaboration of stakeholders involved in the conversion of raw resources into finished products. Consequently, the optimization of the production process and distribution of products/services generated by an industry can enhance operational efficiency. Supply chain management involves the identification of suppliers, strategic planning of logistics, and efficient delivery of goods and materials. The objective of this research is to assess the planning of supply chain management (SCM), investigate the process of supplier selection, and analyze logistics distribution. This study employs qualitative methodologies with a descriptive analytic framework that exclusively concentrates on the planning aspect of Supply Chain Management. The findings of this study indicate that the selection of suppliers in companies involves a collaborative effort among multiple agents who contribute essential materials for the production process and supply chain management (SCM). This collaboration encompasses various aspects, such as procurement procedures, data on multiple raw material suppliers, material handling at the warehouse, the production process, supplier distribution to the company, distribution to customers, and logistics transportation. The supply distribution follows a centralized approach, where approved supplies from the industrial warehouse are subsequently distributed to consumers through suppliers who are company partners responsible for distributing the finished products.

Abstract:
In manufacturing and retail industries, supplier selection problems deal with allocating the optimal raw material amount that should be purchased to each supplier such that the procurement cost is minimal. Meanwhile, production planning problems deal with maximizing the product amount to be produced. Decision-makers need to take optimal decisions for those problem to gain the maximal revenue. In this paper, a novel mathematical model in the class of probabilistic piecewise programming is proposed as a decision-making support that can be used to find the optimal decision in solving both integrated supplier selection and production planning problems involving discounts and probabilistic parameters. The objective is to gain the optimal performance of the supply chain, i.e., maximizing the profit from the production activity. The model covers multi-raw material, multi-supplier, multi-product, and multi-buyer situations. Numerical experiments were conducted to evaluate the proposed model and to illustrate how the optimal decision is taken. Results showed that the proposed decision-making support successfully solved the problem and provided the optimal decision for the given problem. Therefore, the proposed model can be implemented by decision-makers/managers in industries.

Abstract:
The decision-makers in manufacturing industries continuously optimize every supply-chain part to achieve optimal profit. In this paper, three crucial activities in the supply chain are observed as profit contributors: supplier selection, inventory management, and production planning. Decision-making support is needed to optimize those activities, especially when prices/costs involve discounts. Therefore, this study aims to develop integrated decision-making support for supplier selection, inventory management, and production planning involving discounted prices. The problem was considered with multi-supplier, multi-raw material, multi-product, and multi-observation time instant. The objective was based on maximizing the profit for the entire activity, i.e., from the raw material procurement and storage to the production. This supply chain was modeled as mixed-integer linear programming with a piecewise objective function representing the profit, which was maximized. It was also modeled with a bunch of constraint functions, including product demand satisfaction. The proposed model was tested with computational simulations using randomly generated supply chain data. The primal simplex algorithm was also employed to calculate the real value of the optimal decision, which was combined with the Branch-and-Bound approach to calculate the appropriate integer solution. The results showed that the optimal decision was achieved, namely (1) The optimal quantity of raw materials ordered to each supplier, (2) The optimal production quantity, and (3) The optimal inventory level, which provided the maximal profit for the whole optimization time horizon. This indicated that the proposed decision-making support model is implementable for industrial decision-makers.

Abstract:
The relevant problem of guaranteed supply of high-quality raw materials to a timber processing enterprise that does not have its own sources of raw materials is considered. A method for the formation of sustainable chains of supplying raw materials to a timber processing enterprise was proposed, taking into consideration uncertainties and risks associated with the purchase of raw materials on the mercantile exchange and the implementation of the circuit of delivery to a warehouse. A dynamic model, which is a problem of stochastic nonlinear programming, the objective function of which is the cost of purchasing raw materials, was developed. The model makes it possible to form a plan for purchasing raw materials on the timber section of the mercantile exchange on a given planning horizon, taking into consideration uncertainties when it comes to the number of daily offers, their volumes, and prices. The risk of cancellation of the concluded contract due to the loss of the quality of raw materials during delivery and non-fulfillment of delivery terms was also taken into consideration. To find a solution to the model, a two-stage circuit, in which the first stage involves a procurement plan that is close to optimal, was proposed. At the second stage, a plan that is closest to the basic one in terms of the volume of purchased raw materials and minimizing the total costs is chosen for each day of implementation of a random flow of applications. The numerical solution at the first stage is found using the heuristic algorithm that uses the branch and bound method and the genetic algorithm at certain steps. At the second stage, the multi-criteria problem of mathematical programming is solved numerically. An example of the formation by a timber processing enterprise in the Far East of a suboptimal procurement plan that ensures an increase in the efficiency and sustainability of economic activity in the long term is considered

Abstract:
The partially two-stage process of material flow distribution in a logistics system is considered, which consists of enterprises that produce certain products and sell them directly to consumers or through distribution centers. It is assumed that the demand for products is continuously distributed throughout the territory of a certain region. The purpose of the work is to reduce transportation and organizational costs associated with the sale and storage of finished products for a network of production enterprises by developing models and methods of optimization tasks that allow determining the quantity, capacity, and coordinates of distri-bution centers and organizing logistics processes, rationally distributing transportation and material flows among all participants in the logistics process. The relevance of the work is due to the creation of territorially distributed multilevel companies that carry out the entire production cycle from raw material procurement with its comprehensive use, production of products to transportation to end consumers through distribution centers. The mathematical support of the formulated placement-distribution tasks is developed using the basic provisions of the theory of continuous problems of optimal subset division with the placement of subset centers, duality theory, linear programming methods of the transport type, modern algorithms of non-differentiable optimization. The presented models and algorithms allow solving a whole range of strategic planning problems that arise in the production, social, and economic spheres of activity.

Abstract:
Supply chain management is a burning issue for modern industrial enterprises. To handle this issue, non-linear stochastic models are successfully applied to find the reasonable and efficient solutions. A need to develop a unique method to find the solutions to supply chain management tasks defined as stochastic mixed-integer non-linear programming tasks is determined by the limitations imposed by the general models. The sum of the total raw procurement costs from the Commodity Exchange over the defined planning horizon is taken to be the target function of the unique model, while the binary variables which show whether a purchasing order is included into the procurement plan are used for optimization purposes. Some parameters of model’s limitations are stochastic and consider the uncertainty factor and risks in supplying the required raw materials to the manufacturing site. Branch-and-bound and genetic algorithms are applied at some steps in the developed heuristic algorithm. The algorithm and the model are tested at a major timber processing enterprise in Primorsky Area. Four types of processors over three planning horizons were applied to compare the efficiency of the proposed algorithm with partial application of the genetic algorithm or branch-and-bound method. The findings analysis shows that, unlike the genetic algorithm, the unique one is more stable in terms of uncertainty of the input parameters in comparison with the branch-and-bound method. It provides the solutions in the models with a great number of variables. The algorithm is shown to be universal enough for its further modification in solving more complicated problems of the same class, containing a significantly larger number of probabilistic parameters that describe other uncertainties in the supply of raw materials. Further research is seen to include the development of the proposed algorithm to increase the rate of convergence for its better efficiency.

Abstract:
Recycling of used products can provide substantial economic and environmental benefits for supply chain players. However, many factors associated with the design of closed-loop supply chain networks are uncertain in their nature, including demand, opening cost of facilities, capacity of opened facilities, transportation cost, and procurement cost. Therefore, this study proposes a novel fuzzy programming model for closed-loop supply chain network design, which directly relies on the fuzzy ranking method based on a credibility measure. The objective of the presented optimization model aims at minimizing the total cost of the network when selecting the facility locations and transportation routes between the nodes of the network. Based on the problem characteristics, a Migratory Birds Optimization Algorithm with a new product source encoding scheme is developed as a solution approach. The inspiration for the product source coding method originates from the label information of raw material supplier and manufacturing factories on product packaging, as well as the information of each logistics node on the delivery order. This novel encoding method aims to address the limitations of four traditional encoding methods: Prüfer number based encoding, spanning tree based encoding, forest data structure based encoding, and priority based encoding, thereby increasing the likelihood of heuristic algorithms finding the optimal solution. Thirty-five illustrative examples are developed to evaluate the proposed algorithm against the exact optimization method (LINGO) and a Genetic Algorithm, Ant Colony Optimization, Simulated Annealing, which are recognized as well-known metaheuristic algorithms. The results from extensive experiments show that the proposed algorithm is able to provide optimal and good-quality solutions within acceptable computational time even for large-scale numerical examples. The suitability of the model is confirmed through a meticulous sensitivity analysis. This analysis involves adjusting the confidence level incrementally from 50% to 100%, in 5% intervals, with respect to the model’s uncertain parameters. Consequently, it yields valuable managerial insights. The outcomes of this research are expected to provide scientific support for related supply chain enterprises and stakeholders.

Abstract:
The coordinated development of companies and ecological protection are possible only with increasing environmental awareness. Therefore, this study aims to investigate how companies can achieve sustainable development. It is found that the scientific implementation of the vehicle scheduling problem (VSP) for just-in-time (JIT) delivery in the raw material procurement logistics of iron and steel companies can reduce the carbon emissions in the VSP process and, taking into account the negative correlation between weather conditions and PM10, can effectively reduce PM10. On this basis, a multiobjective optimization model is constructed with the objectives of minimizing carbon emissions and PM10 along with the traditional objective of cost optimization. A greedy algorithm with high computational efficiency and an embedded genetic algorithm (GA) is used to further improve the response time of the VSP. Verification shows that in practice, the model enables companies to effectively reduce not only logistics costs but also PM10 and carbon emissions; in theory, the model expands the applicability of JIT to all value-added activities, exploring all value-added activities in different spatial and temporal dimensions to achieve the optimal combination of company cost, environmental effects, and weather dimensions.

Abstract:
Abstract. Introduction. Ensuring the effective functioning of a modern enterprise is largely determined by the procurement process, which significantly affects the stability, efficiency and competitiveness of the enterprise. Purpose. The purpose of this study is to determine the key features of the supply process and its goals in the chain of circulation of economic assets, as well as to characterize the accounting component of the supply activity. Results. The supply process, in addition to the actual purchase of values, includes all interrelated activities necessary for the organization to receive goods and services from suppliers: the selection of suppliers, negotiations and agreement of terms with them, transportation and forwarding of goods and material values, receiving, warehousing and cargo processing goods Thus, it can be said that there is no coherent and unified opinion on the definition of the terms "supply", "purchase" and "supply" today, and they are perceived in practical activity as interchangeable. Implementation of supply activities can be considered in two aspects - tactical and strategic. Supply in the tactical aspect is the satisfaction of the company's constant, daily needs for material resources, without which its effective functioning is impossible. The strategic aspect of supply activities is actually the process of management, communication and interaction with other departments, external suppliers, needs and requests of the end user. Accounting for supply costs is reduced to an important, but only effective part of the supply process - the assessment of material stocks at original cost (the actual cost of acquisition or own production). Material costs are one of the main economic elements of the enterprise's costs for the production and sale of products, they include the cost of purchased raw materials and materials that are part of the manufactured product, forming its basis, or are a necessary component in the production of products (conducting works, providing services ). The integration of production and procurement activities begins long before the production process itself. At the same time, the initiative side is the production system, the basis of which is data on product sales. However, the production process cannot proceed normally if it is not preceded by a well-established process of preparing production stocks. Reserves refer to objects that require fairly large investments and are one of the most important factors in ensuring stability and continuity of reproduction, which determine the company's policy and affect the level of service as a whole. Production units receive information about the availability of the necessary amount of materials for production. In the chain of creation of the value of material costs at the stage of production, deficiencies and losses arising as a result of procurement and supply activities may be detected. For example, if high production losses were caused by the purchase of the wrong material by the supply department, then the amount of these losses should be attributed to the costs of the responsibility centre of the supply department in terms of quantity and value. Production divisions complete the material and value flows of purchasing and supply activities. At this stage, the physical consumption of materials is carried out according to the value formed as a result of the material and technical supply process. Conclusions. Logistics costs significantly affect the profitability of the city's enterprise and its finished products. Therefore, the clear structuring of logistics costs can contribute to the optimization of purchasing activities in the production of industrial equipment, as well as the coordination and integration of certain types of logistics costs that are hidden and do not have a clear method of accounting and measurement. In general, it can be said that the implementation of successful and effective procurement activities at a manufacturing enterprise must be approached systematically and comprehensively, organically integrating all the main functions of procurement logistics (planning, organization, motivation) into all internal business processes of the enterprise, providing this activity with the necessary resources, information and managerial influence.

Abstract:
The fast-food industry currently relies on frozen ingredients to reduce the cost of procurement of raw materials. In recent years, consumers have started to curb their habit of eating out from fast-food chain restaurants due to the growing concerns for unhealthy menu choices made primarily from highly processed and/or frozen food ingredients. To address these issues, some organizations in the fast-food industry have started to offer menus with fresh unfrozen ingredients sourced locally or regionally. This paper addresses the problem of integrating sourcing, storage, and distribution strategies for a fast-food restaurant chain at the regional level. We present an adaptive sequential optimization decision-making approach for procurement, storage, and distribution of perishable food products to multi-unit restaurants at the regional level. This solution approach uses shelf-life considerations in developing a procurement and distribution strategy for fresh produce in the era of hyperconnected logistics. Three models are developed using Mixed Integer Linear Programming (MILP). First, a procurement model is developed to find the cost-effective supplier for each produce category based on shelf life. Then, a distribution model is developed to find the cost-optimal solution for distributing produce to multiple restaurant locations considering weight, volume, and operation hours. Finally, an integrated model is developed to optimally combine procurement and distribution options generated by the first two models to minimize costs while respecting total shelf-life constraints. Numerical experiments based on realistic data are carried out to show that the proposed sequential approach yields valid decisions and presents the effects of price, shelf-life, and demand changes on the supply chain.

Abstract:
Background: In Engineer-to-Order (EtO) supply chains, managing supplier lead times is particularly challenging due to high customization and intensive customer involvement. This study addresses the critical need for more accurate and dynamic lead time prediction to enhance supply chain resilience and efficiency in EtO environments. Methods: We propose a novel approach that integrates Internet of Things (IoT) technologies with statistical modeling using the log-normal distribution to model and optimize supplier lead times, especially for customized raw materials. The model incorporates real-time data from IoT-enabled suppliers and considers long-term contractual relationships to reduce variability. Monte Carlo simulation is employed to validate the model’s predictive capabilities. Results: The results demonstrate significant improvements in predicting supplier performance and reducing uncertainty. Simulation outputs reveal reductions in lead times and enhanced reliability. Statistical metrics such as the Mean Absolute Error (MAE) and Root Mean Square Error (RMSE) confirm the robustness and accuracy of the predictions. Conclusions: The proposed methodology supports better decision-making in supplier selection and procurement planning by enabling effective risk management. It contributes to improved performance and greater resilience in Engineer-to-Order supply chains.

Abstract:
The article explores the latest approaches to the organization and optimization of the management of enterprises in the industry, aimed at increasing their competitiveness and sustainability in the context of global economic and technological changes. The authors emphasize that the bakery industry is one of the essential parts of the country’s food security system. Therefore, its development requires innovative approaches that consider both production specifics and market environment trends. One of the key aspects of the article is the analysis of the need to introduce modern digital technologies capable of transforming all stages of enterprise management – from the procurement of raw materials and planning of production processes to the sale of finished products and marketing activities. The authors justify that modern management models should be based on adaptability, flexibility, and orientation to consumer needs. The article emphasizes that the bakery industry faces several challenges: remarkably increasing competition, changes in consumer preferences, globalization of markets, and increased environmental requirements. In this context, innovations play an important role in developing new product types, improving quality, reducing production costs, and complying with sustainable development standards. As a result of the study, the authors propose a comprehensive model of innovation management, which includes five key components: technological, responsible for the implementation of modern production technologies; personnel, focused on improving employee skills; marketing, which ensures the adaptation of products to market needs; logistics, aimed at optimizing supplies and distribution; and environmental, which guarantees compliance with the requirements of sustainable development. The proposed model allows for solving such strategic tasks as increasing the efficiency of production processes, optimizing costs, increasing income, and increasing consumer satisfaction. Particular attention is paid to the fact that the successful implementation of innovation strategies depends on the harmonious interaction of all components of the model and a systematic approach to their implementation. Abstract:
With the rapid economic growth and increasingly fierce market competition, the traditional manufacturing advantages have become a thing of the past. There are problems such as inaccurate procurement plans, large quantities of inventory sold out, chaotic procurement processes, and unclear inventory policies. Optimizing the procurement of basic raw materials will help reduce raw material costs. This paper analyzes some raw material supply chain processes through the Delphi method, Plato principle, and trend-adjusted exponential smoothing method and finds that the important factors for improving raw material supply include economic and technological environment, the realization of purchasing department functions, price stability, technical level, system management awareness, product qualification rate, quality inspection and testing, and problem handling timeliness. Financial situation, procurement efficiency, and cooperation compatibility are important factors for improving the supply of raw materials. By using key indicators to select strategic suppliers and computational intelligence to obtain the forecast value of raw material supply, the forecast error rate is within 9%, indicating that the forecast data are reliable and can be used as an auxiliary tool for raw material supply, thereby reducing risks. Under the corresponding conditions, the waste of raw materials can be reduced and the raw materials can be stored more reasonably. Using the Delphi method, Plato principle, and trend adjustment exponential smoothing method to analyze part of the raw material supply chain process brings benefits to the enterprise and finally achieves the standardization of the procurement process, the optimization of supplier groups, the sharing of procurement information, the supervision of procurement process, the reduction of purchasing costs, improvement of procurement intelligence, division of labor and performance assessment, and achievement of a win-win situation with suppliers.

Abstract:
Formulation of the problem. Within the functional areas of logistics, operations and functions related to purchasing, production and sales are carried out. Moving raw materials, semi-finished products and finished products are possible in the case of the use of vehicles, which adequately reflects the practical importance of the concept of transport and logistics activities. Therefore, to achieve optimization of logistics functions and operations, and, as a consequence, the goals of logistics, an important aspect is the choice of modern vehicles for the transportation of goods. Vehicle operations usually represent the largest total logistics cost due to the purchase of fuel and lubricants, proper organization of vehicle service, including the timely and comprehensive performance of all types of maintenance. In this regard, the concept of introducing electric vehicles is rapidly developing in the world, changing the idea of possibilities of an electric car not only as an individual vehicle for transportation but also as a transport, acquires relevance in the field of logistics and freight transport. The purpose of the work is to analyse the current state of the electric vehicle industry in the world and Ukraine. As well as to substantiate ways to optimize the use of electrically powered vehicles in supply chain management, depending on their technical characteristics.Results. Samples of electric vehicles produced in the EU and the USA are shown. The possibility of using electric vehicles as the main vehicles is considered, provided that their dispersion in the middle of the supply chain is taken into account. A scheme for the use of electric vehicles in the supply chain management process is proposed, which covers the dispersion of electric vehicles following the functional areas of logistics. The proposed scheme for the use of electric vehicles in the supply chain management process, taking into account the functional areas of logistics, has established that it is most expedient to use electric vehicles with a carrying capacity of 1,75−36 tons at the stages of procurement and production, and additionally with a carrying capacity of up to 1,75 tons to distribution points. Electric vehicles with a carrying capacity of up to 700 kg can be effectively used to provide services and technical support in the process of supply chain management. The scientific novelty of the research is that, for the first time, using the "Model of one vehicle on the route", the dependence of the stay time of electric vehicles Renault Kangoo Z.E., Volkswagen e-Crafter and Tesla Semi in the operating conditions of the route, on the distance of transportation was obtained.

Abstract:
Shrimp is a key raw material in shrimp crackers production. The competitive snack food industry leads to fluctuating demand for shrimp crackers, impacting the supply chain. Demand uncertainty often causes mismatches between the supply of shrimp raw materials and actual needs. Excess raw materials can lead to spoilage due to prolonged storage. The method used to design the raw material procurement model is a dynamic system with the consideration that the model is non-linear and dynamic. This study aims to develop a system dynamics model for shrimp raw material procurement to optimize stock management and reduce spoilage from excessive storage. The system dynamics model determined optimal procurement quantities, with an R value of 60 kg and a Q value of 360 kg, resulting in a reduced storage time of one day. The results of this research can contribute to planning the shrimp raw material supply system for shrimp cracker SMEs.

Abstract:
Abstract Lot sizing is a prevalent issue within manufacturing companies, where determining the optimal procurement and production lot sizes is crucial for maximizing profits. This problem has become more complex, given that numerous suppliers can provide the same raw materials with different prices and quantity discount schemes. A company should also determine optimal carriers to deliver materials to the company’s warehouse. In a manufacturing process, the company should determine the optimal production lot size and its schedules. In this paper, a model was developed to solve simultaneously procurement and production lot sizing, as well as production scheduling problems. The model encompasses multiple suppliers offering quantity discounts, aiming to maximize company profit by accounting for various costs, including procurement, production, inventory, and quality costs. A case study is taken from a company producing noodles and its related derivative products to illustrate the application of the model. Based on the optimization results, the company obtained a total profit of IDR. 14,656,550,000 or $950,921.30 (the exchange rate of $1 at IDR. 15,413). The sensitivity analysis results show that the objective function is sensitive to changes in the purchase cost, sale revenue, and discount rate parameters. The decision variables for accepted product demand, product quantity, and the starting and completion time of product family are only sensitive to changes in certain parameters. Meanwhile, the decision variables for product inventory, product backlog, raw material inventory, and purchased raw material quantity are sensitive to the changes in all the analyzed parameters.

Abstract:
The development of the human population in the world, especially Indonesia, to date is approximately 260 million people, making Indonesia in a big challenge where Indonesia must be able to meet the domestic drug supplies needed by the community. The availability of drugs is still an obstacle in the National Health Insurance in Indonesia, this requires the role of the pharmaceutical industry in supporting drug availability by implementing good supply chain management. The focus of this discussion is to look at drug supplies in Indonesia in meeting people's needs and identify factors for production planning, production capacity and raw material procurement for the pharmaceutical industry in supporting the availability of drugs to support the National Health Insurance. This research is a descriptive study by collecting information from various literatures on pharmacy and medicines in Indonesia with a focus on the discussion of production planning, production capacity and raw material procurement and delivery to pharmaceutical companies in supporting drug availability. Because the planning for drug needs used as a basis for drug procurement is inaccurate so that pharmaceutical companies cannot make accurate production plans and the quantity of drugs for the community is inaccurate, time and unavailable at any time, the need for and procurement of materials still depends on imported raw materials from abroad around 95% with a lead time of 1-3 months so that it has the potential to deplete drug supplies and make the National Health Insurance in Indonesia worse.

Abstract Procurement planning with forecasting techniques is constructive for the agro-industry in dealing with price fluctuations and uncertainty in the availability of quality raw materials and controlling procurement costs. However, not all agro-industries can implement procurement planning accurately and precisely because it is unsuitable for the data characteristics and limited data. This study aims to forecast the amount of raw material needed for KUB Srikandi in the future using the ARIMA Model. The results of the study show that there are two models in the ARIMA family: ARIMA (1,1,0) and ARIMA (0,1,1), both of which have significant parameters with p-values below 0.05. But the ARIMA (0,1,1) model is the best model, according to the results of the model with the lowest Mean Squared Error (MSE) value among all the models that were looked at. The purchase planning quantitative analysis results are 191 kg/month at the lower limit and 213 kg/month at the upper limit.

Abstract:
Procurement for forest companies with pulp and paper mills aims to ensure that a sufficient volume of wood supply enters the production process. Numerous suppliers and contract types are available; however, their selection is a complex decision for procurement managers. In addition, managers typically dedicate a portion of their wood fiber demand to each group of suppliers, which is referred to as a portfolio strategy. Despite the available literature in contract selection, the consideration of contract types and their characteristics have not been addressed for the complex procurement process. In this study, a mixed-integer optimization model is proposed to best select contracts for pulp and paper procurement. The challenge was to plan deliveries in each time period to satisfy the demand of raw material at the mills. The potential of this model is demonstrated with a case study based on characteristics from a forest company in Quebec, Canada. A comparison between traditional fixed and flexible contracts is presented. Different portfolio strategies are also evaluated for groups of suppliers to investigate potential improvements.

Companies in Indonesia must find the right solution in order to survive and compete in the era of globalization. Price competition is an important strategy in the competition between similar companies. Based on this, there is a need for a good understanding in the company regarding strategic financing planning in order to achieve predetermined goals efficiently. This efficiency can be characterized by minimal cost expenditure in order to obtain maximum profit. One way to get maximum profit is by implementing good inventory management PT XYZ is a train manufacturing company in Southeast Asia. The company produces various types of trains. There is a production planning for the Train XYZ project with a total production of 526 units of train components for the Side Beam for Bogie. Procurement of these raw materials, PT XYZ uses Lot for Lot (LFL) at a cost of Rp1,411,402. The use of the LFL system still has shortcomings, namely problems due to late delivery and inefficient procurement in terms of financing. The results of production planning research with several MRP methods that have been compared, it is concluded that POQ lot sizing is the most efficient procurement of raw materials other than LFL. In detail, the total cost with the POQ method amounted to Rp1,243,140 and decreased by 11.9%. The cost consists of procurement costs of Rp781,162 and storage costs of Rp461,978.

Abstract:
Raw material inventory is a very important asset for a business. The inability to carry out effective planning of raw material inventory can have a negative impact on the production process. Research aimed at optimizing material inventory planning is a very important step to increase the efficiency of the production process. Qualitative analysis is indeed an important and relevant research method in optimizing material inventory planning. This method focuses on an in-depth understanding of the data collected, exploring the meaning of the information provided by informants through interviews, observation, or documentation. The MRP (Material Requirements Planning) method is an effective approach in optimizing material inventory planning. This method allows companies to place orders for raw materials precisely, determine the amount of goods to be purchased, and reduce the risk of delays in the supply of raw materials. The results of using the MRP method are: (1) being able to order raw materials precisely, because we already know what is needed, (2) can determine the amount of goods to be purchased, (3) reducing the risk of delays in the supply of raw materials

Abstract:
This article reviews the evidence for planning behaviour in Middle Pleistocene hominids. It documents the way in which raw material procurement and tool production were structured during the Middle Pleistocene occupations of the Spanish sites of Sierra de Atapuerca, Torralba, Ambrona and Aridos. Differences in the use of raw materials for different kinds of tool or end-product allow inferences to be drawn about pre-Neanderthal intentionality and cognitive ability. The overall pattern of technological behaviour demonstrated by this study is far removed from the purely ‘opportunistic’ and can reasonably be described as involving both forethought and planning. The work is presented from a techno-economic perspective based on the differential use of raw material types present in the lithic assemblages of these sites, and the proximity of sources of these raw materials in the surrounding landscape.

Abstract:
The right production design at a company will get effectiveness and more production efficiency, including the plan for material requirements or raw materials used by the company. In essence, planning to meet the needs of the material in a company is expected to produce an appropriate system to be applied, therefore making the production process smooth. Where this research aims to compile Material Requirement Planning (MRP) with lot-sizing technique, then compare the results to obtain the optimal combination of raw material procurement. The use of time series method on-demand uses past data, namely the last two years and the forecasting results use the additive decomposition method because this method gets a minimum error value. By using POM, the demand prediction for one year is 6951 scores. Meanwhile, the MPS results on the raw material for one year of songkok required 488 pcs of velvet cloth, 1391 kg of pelisir and 6951 scores of bos-bosan. From the MRP results, the PPB technique is the most optimal for planning the raw material needs of velvet, lining and boredom by ordering the purchase of natural velvet fabric as much as six times, pelisir 1 time and bos-bosan as 6 times.

Abstract:
PT. X is a company engaged in the production of paper pallet packaging for exports. In the production process, PT. X implements Make-To-Order production strategies which would begin to manufacture if the company has received orders from customers. Recently the problems facing by company are the uncertainty lead-time delivery and uncertainty of demand from customer. Both of these issues resulted the ordering of raw materials were unplanned and further caused in delayed delivery of finished products to customers. Furthermore the use of conventional display board currently leads to human error either recording the customer orders or calculating the availability of raw materials. The objective of this research, to solve the problem, proposed decision support system or DSS which will helps the company to schedule procurement of raw material and helps to control raw material availability. Stage of designing the DSS is using the waterfall system development so that the process is done by sequentially developed for each phase of development. The system development process is starting from the system initiation, analysis, design system and implementation. To analyze process, used object-oriented approach which point in the making of models to help analyze and understanding the problem. Results from the study showed that the problems faced by company solved by implementing the safety stock and the procurement scheduling which integrates with early warning sub model, Material Requirement Planning (MRP) sub model and inventory sub model, into a web-based decision support system that can be accessed anywhere, anytime and accurately by authorized user. Safety stocks are used as a backup supply which will be used when the uncertainties of demand occurred. MRP sub model schedules the procurement and calculate raw material requirements based on Bill of Material. Inventory sub model with early warnings system will provide a reminder to the user if the amounts of raw materials available have reached a certain condition so that users can perform further actions to maintain the availability of raw materials.

Abstract:
Material inventory planning is needed in the industrial world to advance a business because it will affect the costs incurred, the production process, and the profits generated by the company. The company has a problem that occurs when the control of raw material inventory could be more optimal. It recorded that throughout 2021, 33.647,18 meters of fabric pants were stored in warehouses. This is influenced by several factors, including the calculation of safety stock, lead time due to uncertain logistics and the selection of methods that have not been maximized. The novelty of this research is that it discusses inventory planning, the methods used are Silver Meal Algorithm and the Wagner Whitin Algorithm. Data processed is on demand for clothes and jeans throughout 2021. The results show that the Silver Meal is suitable for five materials, and the Wagner Whitin Algorithm is on one material. Companies can use both methods for each raw material. Nevertheless, it is more optimal if the company utilizes only one method for procurement of raw materials, the Silver Meal because when it is used in the long term, the cost of raw materials is less than the Wagner Whitin Algorithm. The Siler Meal’s total inventory cost is Rp. 138.281.497, and the Wagner Whitin Algorithm is Rp. 170.010.097

Abstract:
Raw materials procurement is crucial in the sustainability of the glass manufacturing industry, including at PT Asahimas Flat Glass Tbk (AMFG). Procurement of raw materials that are not smooth can cause a significant loss and can cause production failure (unproduct) or shut off factory operations. The glass factory has the characteristics of a continuous factory where the smelting materials must be fed continuously because the smelting furnace operates continuously. There is no holistic research on raw material procurement risk management at PT AMFG. This research uses the House of Risk (HoR) approach to manage risk, which consists of 2 phases. The first phase is identifying risks in which risk events and agents are identified and measurement of severity and occurrence, also carried out levels and calculation of the aggregate risk potential (ARP) value. The second phase is risk management. The phase 1 HoR analysis result was carried out by direct discussion at PT AMFG or material supplier in the mine through scoring for each risk event, namely 65 risk events that can be identified through the planning, purchasing, mining/production, inspection, delivery and treatment process. From the Pareto chart, 9 potential risk agents must be prevented by evaluating using HoR stage 2, so that 17 preventive actions are obtained, of 10 preventive actions will be prioritized. One of the priority actions is the creation of an online monitoring dashboard application (Raw Material or RM-One) that can quickly update and monitor risk management from upstream (mining materials and other crucial raw materials) to downstream (factories). RM-One will help facilitate supply chain coordination, especially in preventive efforts against risks.
