Abstract:
There is an increasing need for outcome measures in the orthotic and prosthetic field and specifically a lack of outcome measures in Swedish. The Orthotics and Prosthetics Users' Survey (OPUS) was developed in the USA for assessment of the outcome of orthotic and prosthetic interventions, and could potentially also be used for shoe insoles and orthopaedic shoes. The aims of this study were to translate OPUS into Swedish and test the translated version's linguistic validity in a Swedish context. The Orthotic and Prosthetic Users' Survey was translated into Swedish and back-translated into Engli

Purpose We investigated in the first-line setting our previous finding that patients with chemorefractory KRAS G13D–mutated metastatic colorectal cancer (mCRC) benefit from cetuximab treatment. Methods Associations between tumor KRAS mutation status (wild-type, G13D, G12V, or other mutations) and progression-free survival (PFS), survival, and response were investigated in pooled data from 1,378 evaluable patients from the CRYSTAL and OPUS studies. Multivariate analysis correcting for differences in baseline prognostic factors was performed. Results Of 533 patients (39%) with KRAS-mutant tumors

In this article, we engage with the theory of cultural capital, which was originally outlined in Pierre Bourdieu’s magnum opus Distinction. We start from a study of lifestyles in Stavanger, Norway, and qualitative interviews with 39 people dispersed in the social space. We find that interviewees with less education are largely indifferent to cultural capital, and secure about their own lifestyles. This diverges from Bourdieu’s depiction of the working-class ‘sense of place’. Yet cultural capital has social consequences. To university graduates, taste and education often matter for self-definit

Twenty Bos indicus cows, of Gyr, Brahman, and Nellore breeds, weighing between 450 and 600 kg were subjected to ovum pick-up (OPU). Oocytes were collected in Dulbecco’s PBS (DBPS) containing heparin and antibiotics, counted, and morphologically classified. Viable oocytes were taken to the laboratory, in vitro matured for 24 h and in vitro fertilized using 25 million sperm mL–1. After 168 h of incubation (39°C, 5% CO2), viable embryos were
