Abstract:
The legal status of the Personal Prelature of Opus Dei, which was established in 1982, has changed due to the documents issued by Pope Francis from 2022-2023. This was permitted by the apostolic constitution Praedicate Evangelium, the motu proprio Ad charisma tuendum, and the motu proprio modifying canons 295 and 296 of the 1983 Code of Canon Law. As a result, this Prelature lost its status as an ecclesiastical circumscription and hierarchical structure. It has been equated with a clerical public association of the faithful under the pontifical right. The Prelate lost his position as an Ordina

A personal prelature was an ecclesiastical circumscription (complementary community). Its establishment was proposed during the Second Vatican Council. Its aim was to ensure the proper distribution of the clergy and to respond to new pastoral challenges. Its legal status was significantly changed by Pope Francis’s motu proprio of August 8, 2022. By amending the canons of the 1983 Code of Canon Law (can. 294-297), the Roman Pontiff equated this personal structure with a public clerical association of the faithful under the pontifical right.

Abstract Gastric cancer (GC) remains a significant global health challenge, representing the fifth leading cause of cancer-related mortality. Altered metabolism plays a crucial role in GC development and progression. This study aimed to identify plasma metabolic biomarkers for improved GC diagnosis and prognosis prediction. We performed untargeted metabolomic profiling of plasma samples from 105 GC patients and 120 healthy controls using ultra-performance liquid chromatography coupled with tandem mass spectrometry (UPLC-MS/MS). Abstract Background: Despite recent therapeutic developments for patients with advanced, metastatic, unresectable HER2+ solid tumors, significant unmet medical needs still exist, especially in tumors other than breast and gastric. The T cell antigen coupler (TAC) technology is a novel approach to modifying T cells, allowing them to recognize and treat HER2+ solid tumors. The TAC receptor redirects T cells to tumor cells, and upon tumor cell recognition, co-opts the natural T cell receptor (TCR) to yield safer anti-tumor responses versus chimeric antigen receptor (CAR) T cells. Pope Francis’ recent reform of personal prelatures and their assimilation into clerical associations has led to the initiation of a process of reform of Opus Dei’s statutes. The paper analyses the possible consequences of the adaptation of the statutes to the pontifical decrees in order to obtain civil personality. The canonical consideration of the entity, which underlines its nature as an association created within the Catholic Church, could lead to the need for its inscription in the Register of Religious Entities.
