Abstract:
The Peng-Robinson-Stryjek-Vera (PRSV) equation of state (EOS) coupled with a modified two parameter van der Waals one-fluid mixing rule (MvdW1) and the Huron-Vidal-Orbey-Sandler mixing rule incorporating the NRTL equation as a GE model was used for the correlation of excess enthalpy (HE), excess heat capacity (CpE) and the simultaneous correlation of both properties. All calculations with temperature dependent parameters of EOS models were applied to 1,3-dioxolane+n-alkane systems. The correlation of the H E and Cp E data alone with four coefficients and the HE+CpE data with six coefficients of the temperature dependent parameters of the HVOS-NRTL models could be considered as very satisfactory.

Abstract:
In this work the Peng-Robinson-Stryjek-Vera (PRSV) equation of state coupled with the Huron-Vidal-Orbey-Sandler (HVOS) rule was tested for the correlation of the excess enthalpy (HE) and the excess heat capacity (cp E) alone and simultaneously. The HVOS mixing rule incorporates the NRTL equation as the GE model. All calculations were performed using the linear and reciprocal forms of the temperature dependent parameters of the models. For all the evaluations the 1,4-dioxane+n-alkane systems were chosen having in mind the unusually W-shaped concentration dependence of cp E for these systems. The correlation of the HE and cp E data alone for all the investigated systems using four coefficients and for the simultaneous correlation of HE+cp E data using six coefficients of the temperature dependent parameters of the PRSV-HVOS models could be considered as being very satisfactory.

Abstract:
Background: Midline brain lesions, such as falx meningioma, arteriovenous malformations, and cavernous malformations, are usually approached from the ipsilateral interhemispheric fissure. To this end, patients are positioned laterally with the ipsilateral side up. However, some studies have reported the usefulness of gravity-assisted brain retraction surgery, in which patients are placed laterally with the ipsilateral side down or up, enabling surgeons to approach the lesions through the ipsilateral side or through a contralateral interhemispheric fissure, respectively. This surgery requires less brain retraction. However, when using an operative microscope, performing this surgery requires the surgeon to operate in an awkward position. A recently developed high-definition (4K-HD) 3-D exoscope system, ORBEYE, can improve the surgeon’s posture while performing gravity-assisted brain retraction surgery. Methods: We report five cases with midline brain tumors managed by resectioning with gravity-assisted brain retraction surgery using ORBEYE. We also performed an ergonomic analysis of gravity-assisted brain retraction surgery with a craniotomy model and a neuronavigation system. Results: Gravity-assisted brain retraction surgery to the midline brain tumors was successfully performed for all five patients, using ORBEYE, without any postoperative neurological deficit. Conclusion: Gravity-assisted brain retraction surgery to the midline brain lesions using ORBEYE is feasible, and ORBEYE is ergonomically more favorable than a microscope. ORBEYE has the potential to generalize neurosurgical approaches considered difficult due to the surgeon’s awkward position, such as gravity-assisted brain retraction surgery.

Abstract:
The purpose of these studies is to assess the adaptive resistance of the apple tree to winter stresses in terms of physiological and biochemical parameters, to identify the most resistant varieties for cultivation in the Krasnodar region. Objects of research are apple varieties of various origins: Orfey, Idared, Ligol, Prikubanskoe. It was found that the cryoprotective function of water-soluble sugars was maximally manifested in the varieties Orfey and Ligol, their content increased by 2.56 and 2.7 times, respectively. Soluble proteins made the greatest contribution to the formation of a protective response in Orfey and Prikubanskoye varieties in January, their content increased 1.8 and 1.9 times, respectively, compared to December. The protective function of anthocyanins was maximally manifested in December in the Orfey variety, in the bark of which their content increased by 5.6 times. Physiological and biochemical adaptation of apple varieties to low negative temperatures of the winter period is achieved by increasing the content of water-soluble sugars, proteins in anthocyanins in the bark and buds. According to the obtained data, the apple varieties Orfey and Prikubanskoye showed themselves to be more adaptive in comparison with other studied varieties and are recommended for cultivation in the Krasnodar region.

Abstract:
Les enquêtes ont été réalisées dans le Canton Vert en Alsace, dans le Nord-est de la France. Il s'agit d'un pays de langue welche, région autrefois isolée et regroupant cinq villes ou villages, dont Orbey, sur les contreforts des Vosges, à hauteur de Colmar. L'isolement relatif des hameaux d'altitude jusque dans les années 1950 a favorisé l'utilisation traditionnelle des plantes médicinales et de nombreuses préparations complexes tirées des trois règnes. Le travail de terrain, parmi les personnes âgées surtout, effectué auprès de cent personnes sur plus de quatre ans nous a permis de brosser un tableau de la médecine telle qu'elle était pratiquée spontanément par la population, en dehors de toute prescription médicale. Le contexte ethnologique est étudié surtout sous l'angle linguistique, et avec l'appui des nombreux récits, traditions, légendes, empreints d'éléments surnaturels. La richesse de ce patrimoine s'est maintenue jusqu'à nos jours en certains lieux, d'une part à travers quelques livrets familiaux de recettes médicinales du XIXème siècle, biens très précieux, et d'autre part via une tradition orale bien conservée en patois (hérité du roman avec des traces de gaulois)
The survey has been carried out in the "Canton Vert" in Alsace, North East of France. It is a "welche" speaking area, isolated in the past. It gathers 5 towns or villages, including Orbey, on the foothills of the Vosges, close to Colmar. The relative isolation of the hamlets situated in the mountains until the 1950s promoted the traditional use of medicinal plants and numerous complex preparations drawn from the 3 kingdoms. The field work, carried out among 100 elderly people over a period of 4 years, has allowed to know more about the medicine practised spontaneously by the population without turning to medical prescriptions. The ethnologic context has mainly been studied from a linguistic point of view and with the help of numerous tales, traditions, legends, filled with supernatural elements. In some areas the richness of that heritage has been saved until now, thanks to some family booklets containing medicinal recipes from the 19th century, very precious possessions indeed, and also through a well-kept oral tradition in dialect (inherited from the Roman language and containing Gallic elements)

In the middle of the fourteenth century, Albert of Saxony, master of the faculty of arts of the University of Paris, composed a treatise in the form of Quaestiones commenting on the Aristotelian work De Caelo et Mundo. In the 6th question of the second book from the treatise, Albert proposed to clarify how many spheres would exist in the cosmos, suggesting then that there were ten, two beyond the orb of the stars. In order to support his thesis, Albert cited in his arguments Thabit ibn Qurra, a harranite scholar from the ninth century, to whom it was attributed, during the Middle Ages, the discovery of a movement of the fixed stars called motus accessus et recessus. This motus was used to explain the celestial structure defended by Albert, who attributed it to the orb of the stars, justifying the extra orbs. We consider that the presence of Thabit, in Quaestio 6 from this work, might be explained due to the use of rhetoric - which was fundamental to the construction of the quaestiones -, since its argumentative structure frequently used the quotation of textual authorities, the auctoritas. Therefore, the present study aims to analyze Quaestio 6 in a way to clarify Alberto's argument in defense of the ten celestial orbs, as well as his use of the ideas of Thabit ibn Qurra. Thus, we hope to contribute to the studies on this writing of Albert of Saxony and his role in Cosmology of the late Middle Ages
Em meados de século XIV, Alberto da Saxônia, mestre da faculdade de artes da Universidade de Paris, compôs um tratado em forma de Quaestiones comentando a obra aristotélica De Caelo et Mundo. Na questão 6 do segundo livro desse tratado, Alberto propôs esclarecer quantas esferas existiriam no cosmos, sugerindo, então, que fossem dez, duas além do orbe das estrelas. Para sustentar sua tese, o autor citou em seus argumentos Thabit ibn Qurra, um estudioso harranita do século IX, a quem se atribuiu, durante a Idade Média, a descoberta de um movimento das estrelas chamado motus accessus et recessus. Esse motus ajudou a explicar a estrutura celeste defendida por Alberto, que o atribuiu ao orbe das estrelas, justificando, assim, a existência de esferas extras. Considera-se que a presença de Thabit, na Quaestio 6 dessa obra de Alberto, possa ser explicada pelo uso da retórica – fundamental na construção das quaestiones –, uma vez que sua estrutura argumentativa valia-se com frequência da citação de autoridades textuais, as auctoritas. Portanto, o presente estudo visa analisar a Quaestio 6, buscando melhor esclarecer a argumentação de Alberto em defesa dos dez orbes celestes, bem como seu uso das ideias de Thabit ibn Qurra, a esse respeito. Assim, espera-se contribuir para os estudos sobre esse escrito de Alberto da Saxônia e seu papel na Cosmologia do final da Idade Média

Resumo: Este estudo investiga a emergência dos conceitos de "nação" e "povo", no Brasil do século XIX, como um paradigma intelectual que delimitou o pensamento de um grupo de escritores genericamente identificados como "gerações românticas". A análise do meio físico feita através da avaliação de terrenos tem grande importância nos estudos da sua suscetibilidade a processos naturais, como os movimentos de massas. Este trabalho teve como objetivo avaliar duas formas de obtenção da suscetibilidade a escorregamentos aplicadas em imagens de alta resolução espacial (0,5 m) do sistema sensor GeoEye. A Análise Integrada analisa conjuntamente os elementos do terreno por meio da compartimentação fisiográfica da área. A Análise Paramétrica utiliza vários mapas temáticos, com mesma escala, para posterior sobreposição destes com aplicação de pesos definidos pelo Método AHP. A área de estudo possui 108,6 km², é um trecho da faixa de dutos ORBEL localizado no município de Duque de Caxias, e porções dos municípios de Nova Iguaçu e Belford Roxo, no estado do Rio de Janeiro. Essa região é atravessada por oleodutos e gasodutos e possui grande importância econômica. As etapas de trabalho envolveram: a caracterização da área com levantamento de dados bibliográficos; a confecção de mapas auxiliares através do Modelo Digital de Elevação, são estes os mapas Hipsométrico, de Declividade e de Formas de Vertentes, na escala 1:50.000; a elaboração do Mapa de Inventário a Escorregamentos por meio da extração das cicatrizes na imagem de Janeiro de 2010, onde foram identificadas 165 cicatrizes ao todo; o Mapa de Suscetibilidade a Escorregamento - Compartimentação Fisiográfica elaborado a partir da fotoleitura seguida da fotoanálise e fotointerpretação nas imagens GeoEye que resultou na divisão em quatro unidades fisiográficas. The analysis of the environment through the terrain evaluation has a great significance in the study of its susceptibility to natural processes, such as mass movements. This research aimed the comparison between two different approaches to landslide susceptibility mapping, using GeoEye high resolution images (0.5 m). In the Integrated Analysis, the terrain elements were analyzed together through the physiographic compartmentalization. In the Parametric Analysis several thematic maps in the same scale, were combined using weights, defined by the AHP Method. The study area has 108,6 km², is a stretch of the ORBEL pipeline located in the municipality of Duque de Caxias, and portions of the municipalities of Nova Iguaçu and Belford Roxo, Rio de Janeiro State. This region is crossed by several gas and oil pipelines and has a considerable economic significance. The research steps involved: characterization of the area with the support of bibliographic data; elaboration of auxiliary maps through the Digital Elevation Model, such as the Hipsometric, Declivity and Slope Form maps, scale 1:50,000; Landslide Inventory Map, through the extraction of landslide features in the image from January 2010, with a total of 165 identified features; Landslide Susceptibility Map - Physiographic Compartmentalization elaborated from the photo-reading, photo-analysis and photointerpretation in the GeoEye images that resulted in the division into four physiographic units. The Landslide Susceptibility Map - AHP Method generated through the weighted combination of several thematic maps, it used the pairwise hierarchy method for the allocation of weights and were also obtained four susceptibility classes. The research steps involved: characterization of the area with the support of bibliographic data; elaboration of auxiliary maps through the Digital Elevation Model, such as the Hipsometric, Declivity and Slope Form maps, scale 1:50,000; Landslide Inventory Map, through the extraction of landslide features in the image from January 2010, with a total of 165 identified features; Landslide Susceptibility Map - Physiographic Compartmentalization elaborated from the photo-reading, photo-analysis and photointerpretation in the GeoEye images that resulted in the division into four physiographic units. The Landslide Susceptibility Map - AHP Method generated through the weighted combination of several thematic maps, it used the pairwise hierarchy method for the allocation of weights and were also obtained four susceptibility classes. The comparison between the susceptibility maps was carried out using both quantitative and descriptive analysis. Abstract:
Aureliano Fernandez-Guerra is known especially among Quevedo’s scholars because he published the first complete edition of Quevedo’s works. Few people know his plays and, for this reason, they have never been studied. These plays were written during his youth, when Fernández-Guerra hadn’t decided anything about his career yet. Therefore, these plays were always very important for him and, for this reason, he continued to correct and to revise them. Among them, the unpublished drama La hija de Cervantes (1840) was considered the most important play. In this doctoral thesis I have tried to describe this Spanish author, especially focusing on theatre. In the first part I wrote about the life and the literary works, giving particularly importance to his plays that are La peña de los enamorados (1939), La hija de Cervantes (1840), Alonso Cano (1842) and La Ricahembra (1845), this last one written in collaboration with Manuel Tamayo y Baus, another important and famous playwright. In the second part I deepened the study of La hija de Cervantes because it is a particular interesting drama: Aureliano Fernández-Guerra chose to represent the author of the Quixote as a character of his drama, especially dramatizing the most mysterious moments of his life, such as the Gaspar de Ezpeleta’s murder, his relationship with his daughter Isabel de Saavedra and his supposed love for a woman, whose existence his unknown. Besides, this drama is interesting because it is partially autobiographic: I found several letters and articles where it is emphasized the similarities between Cervantes’ and Aureliano’s life: both feel misunderstood and not appreciated by other people and both had to renounce a big love. In the final part I presented the critical edition of La hija de Cervantes based on the last three manuscripts that are today at the Institut de Teatre in Barcelona. A wide philological note shows the transcription criterions.

L'objectif de cette thèse est de présenter la traduction en portugais d’Alector, histoire fabuleuse, de Barthélemy Aneau, œuvre publiée en 1560 à Lyon par Pierre Fradin. Cette thèse s’organise en deux parties. Partie A: étude critique de la ville imaginaire d’Orbe développée en trois étapes: a) l’analyse des aspects généraux du texte, en particulier le jugement d’Alector; b) la dimension utopique de la ville orbitaine; et, c) sa dimension religieuse. Partie B: étude qui a préparé la traduction et contient deux chapitres: le premier vise à caractériser le travail, à discuter le sens du choix de narrativa, à présenter son auteur et une analyse générale des résultats des recherches menées dans des Archives; le second propose de réfléchir sur le processus de traduction d’Alector. La conclusion est suivie par la traduction d’Alector, narrativa fabulosa. Les Annexes regroupent des documents retrouvés au cours de la recherche dans les Archives en France, en Italie et dans la Cité du Vatican
This thesis presents the Portuguese translation of Alector, histoire fabuleuse by Barthelemy Aneau, published in Lyon in 1560 by Pierre Fradin. Our thesis is made up of two parts: Part A contains a critical study of the imaginary town of Orbe and is made up of three sections: first, the analysis of the general aspects of the work; second, the utopian dimension of the city of Orbe and third, its religious dimension. Part B contains the study that prepared the translation and features two sections: the first one characterizes the work, discusses the meaning of the narrative in its context, and introduces its author; it also contains the general analysis of the results of the research conducted at the archives. The second section reflects on the process of translating Alector. The conclusion is followed by the bilingual translation of Alector, histoire fabuleuse. The appendices list the documents we looked up at the archives and libraries in France, Italy, and the Vatican City

Energy is the major operating expense in a pipeline company. There is considerable incentive to optimize energy utilization to reduce losses as much as possible. This article presents a study of the process and economic effects of substituting traditional pressure control valves by medium voltage frequency variable drives in the ORBEL II oil pipeline. Three drive configurations were chosen and their implementation costs were investigated. Pipeline flow simulation software was used to study the process effects of the drive configuration applications and to calculate the amount of energy spent using control valves and using velocity variable control systems. The differences in energy savings were quantified in financial terms using energy supply contract data and operational data. Finally, an investment analysis was carried out in respect of the energy savings and an estimation of overall implantation costs of the drives.

Most pipeline codes, do not stipulate any requirement for block valve spacing nor for remote pipeline valve operations along transmission pipelines carrying low vapor pressure petroleum products. This requirement is generally industry driven for their desire to proactively control hazards and mitigation of environmental impacts in the event of pipeline ruptures or failures causing hydrocarbon spills. This paper will highlight a summary of pipeline codes for valve spacing requirements and spill limitation in high consequence areas along with a criteria for an acceptable spill volume that could be caused by pipeline leak/full rupture. A technique for deciding economically and technically effective pipeline block valve automation for remote operation to reduce oil spill and thus control of hazards is also provided. The criteria for maximum permissible oil spill volume, is based on industry’s best practice. The application of the technique for deciding valve automation as applied to three initially selected pipelines (ORSUB, OSPAR and ORBEL) is discussed. These pipeline represent about 14% of the total (6,800 kilometers, varying between 6” to 42”) liquid petroleum transmission lines operated by Petobras Transporte S.A. (Transpetro) in Brazil. Results of the application of the technique is provided for two of the pipelines: OSPAR (117 Km, 30” line) and ORBEL II (358 Km 24” line), both carrying large volumes of crude oil.

In the present work an optimization study was conducted with the objective of providing pipeline operators with a simple, spreadsheet-based computational tool to help decrease the electrical energy consumption associated with a particular transport operation. The methodology proposed encompasses the construction of a database of information on the pipeline regarding pumping power consumption, for all possible pumping arrangements and flow rate ranges considered viable for the pipeline. This database is fed to a spreadsheet programmed to calculate the minimum pumping cost for a particular operation. This calculation takes into account, the volume of product to be transported, start and finish times, fluid properties, and the possibility of the existence of a low and a high electricity tariff based on geographical location and time of the day. The methodology was applied to the ORBEL II pipeline in Brazil, and two case studies were conducted. Significant cost savings were obtained by the use of the methodology developed.

La investigación artística, más allá de la perspectiva normativa (disciplinar) reciente que la asocia a procesos de actualización curricular en las universidades del orbe, implica o ha implicado un ejercicio permanente de imaginación y crítica. Existe un amplio legado de trabajo crítico donde se reconocen las prácticas de investigación en su directa asociación con el ejercicio político o las luchas sociales (Steyerl, 2010). El arte apunta a un pensamiento profundo, radical, prismático, y atonal, y asimismo como forjador de un territorio abierto, expandido, lo cual implica que la idea del arte que acompaña a la propia aventura del arte es cada vez más compleja, pluralista y polivalente (Juanes, 2010). La propuesta de esquemas dinámicos complejos plantea la necesidad de un procesamiento de los legados críticos, la vastedad, la polivalencia, la poética de sus autores, en su encuentro con los imperativos de la investigación académica formal. Los esquemas dinámicos complejos permiten el reconocimiento de este carácter abierto, complejo y polivalente. Y también permiten pensar o transitar por las distintas formas de codificación e implicaciones de la acción de investigación en las múltiples escalas contextuales y los múltiples ámbitos de actuación. La propuesta de los esquemas dinámicos complejos se soporta en un ejercicio de colectivización de procesos de investigación donde los esquemas operan como interfaz dialógica. En este sentido, el valor del esquema no está en su graficación si no en lo que el esquema permite visibilizar para ser discutido en un grupo. Por otra parte implica reconocer también la mutabilidad de las configuraciones conceptuales en una espiral constructiva de procesos de conocimiento interdisciplinario (García, 2006). Esto quiere decir que la posible reconfiguración permanente de un esquema conceptual en un proyecto de investigación sucede a la par de la reconfiguración de la mirada (theorós) del investigador.http://dx.doi.org/10.4995/ANIAV.2017.5848
