Abstract:
Orchids are used worldwide for indoor decoration, vanilla production, and beverage preparation. They are also reported for their therapeutic efficacy in brain-related problems. The in vitro micropropagation technique was used for their propagation using the orchid maintenance/replate (OMR) medium. The current study was based on analysing the effect of biofield energy treatment on the physicochemical properties of OMR medium. A part of the sample was treated with Mr. Trivedi’s biofield energy; various physicochemical properties were analyzed and compared with the untreated (control) part.

Encyclia is a genus of orchids with four members native to Florida that are Endangered or commercially exploited. If a commercial orchid tissue culture media was found that could be used to propagate Encyclia, the resulting plants could be introduced into protected habitats to increase the wild populations or could be grown commercially to lessen the demand for collected plants. Six month Encyclia tampensis (Lindl.) seedlings were grown in Orchid Maintenance/Replate Medium w/Banana and Charcoal with 6 g·L–1 agar (C), ½ strength Orchid Multiplication Medium with 6 g·L–1 agar and 10 g·L–1 charco

The orchid Dendrobium moniliforme faces endangerment due to habitat loss and illegal harvesting, necessitating the development of an optimized artificial propagation system to aid conservation and reintroduction efforts. This study evaluated the effects of three plant growth media, namely Murashige and Skoog (MS), Hyponex, and Orchid Maintenance Medium (OMM) (P668), and various organic additives (apple homogenate, banana homogenate, and coconut water) on the in vitro seedling growth of D. moniliforme. The results reveal that, in early postgermination stages, seedlings achieve maximum growth in

Cypripedium guttatum is a highly restricted terrestrial orchid that faces increasing endangerment owing to its habitat destruction and illegal collection. Compared to epiphytic orchids, terrestrial orchids such as C. guttatum have harder seed coats and more demanding in vitro germination conditions. This study aimed to develop an effective in vitro propagation system for C. guttatum to aid in its conservation. Seeds from mature capsules were subjected to various conditions, including sterilization using 1% sodium hypochlorite (NaOCl) and different light conditions, culture media, hormones, and

Orchid cultivation has been widely carried out by orchid agribusiness in Indonesia, even though there has been a lot of orchid cultivation but there are still obstacles in terms of supplies or maintenance. One of them is water sprinkling and fertilizing the orchid plants which are still done manually. Manual watering is watering done by orchid farmers so it requires a lot of effort and time and the amount of water that is sprinkled is not the same. If the water is poured too much or too little, it can cause rot or dryness of the plant roots so that the plants can die quickly. In the current te
