Full textCommitted leadership is the foundation for creating a good quality culture andto succeed, the participation of employees is required. Researchers argue thatsupport for the current leaders in healthcare has until now been ratherundeveloped. The purpose of this study was to understand how the qualityculture in Swedish healthcare can be linked to the leaders' ability to promotegood co-workership. This study was based on an explanatory sequentialmixed method with two quantitative measurements that ultimately resulted in aqualitative interview. A measurement of the quality culture at Swedishhospitals was taken based on a previously developed instrument formeasuring quality culture . The measuring instrument comprises 13behavioral pairs that promote or hinder a quality culture. This measure showsthat there is generally a good quality culture at Swedish hospitals at present.Through this measurement, a regression analysis was done which links to thehospital's results in the National Patient Survey. A statistically significantbehavior was observed, and according to this measurement, is likely to createmore satisfied patients as more professions feel that this behavior occurs intheir organization. The behaviour in question can be described as: when wehave a problem, we find out the root cause before we decide on a solution. This behavior was brought into two successful hospitals in order to understandmore deeply how they work with the co-workership in this particular behavior.Based on the workshop with these two hospitals, we conclude that leadersneed to have experienced the quality culture and the co-workership they areassumed to carry in order to promote an employee culture that is linked to thequality culture. In pursuit of success, a strong quality culture is desirable, butbased on the workshops, the authors see no possible quick solution to reachit. The result shows that today's leaders in healthcare need support in the formof a mentor or time for reflection on leadership on their own or in groups inorder to develop. In constructive approach, it is with improvement knowledgethat everyone's involvement in the work of continuous improvement isconducted. This requires reflection, honesty, courage, openness and trustfrom everyone involved and intentions rooted in the wellness and prosperity ofall.

Full textThere is a gap between thought and action in smaller organizations. Unawareness of its own activities has led to misleading explanations for both successful and unsuccessful organizing. This study therefore aims to develop knowledge and understanding of processes of organizing in smaller organizations and specifically in pop bands. The research design is a longitudinal case study of a pop band. The methodology was inspired by ethnography and has an abductive approach. The main source for data collection has been observation of chatting, however direct observations, interviews and a meeting of stimulated recall has also been conducted. The results show how the pop band is organized in projects and the importance of complexity and the collective sense that it can make. Analysis is based on Czarniawska's theory of organizing and Weick's theory of sensemaking. It is concluded that sustained and coherent processes of organizing are associated with processes of collective sensemaking. An endeavor for collective sense is an endeavor to realize the organization as a collective. The implications for well-functioning activities in smaller organizations proposed to be to endeavor for complexity by involving the most sensible projects according to all participants into one another, and to schedule meetings and to have multiple deadlines, and avoid authoritarian leadership, avoid competing buddy collective, avoid delegation and allocation of areas of responsibility and avoid the pursuit of a common view.

This thesis discusses the Brazilian Official Expertise of Criminal Nature, showing an analysis of its structure, organs, agents, autonomy, and denominations, with the intention of reaching measures to ensure the excellent performance of the work undertaken by the competent institutions, through a proposal of modernization of forensic organization in Brazil, taking into account the autonomy of the institution in each state, proposing the unification of the names of those institutions, and introducing a new organization chart, aiming at promoting a more objective administration of those organs. In pursuit of this purpose, this work was developed through two types of research: a bibliographical one, carried out in order to construct knowledge about the reality of the issues, with emphasis on the grounds that expert activity is a function of the state and another, accomplished through questionnaires administered to presidents of Associations and Unions linked to the Criminal Skills, trying to get opinions on the ideal model for structuring Bodies Officers Criminal Nature of Brazil.

Full textThis doctoral thesis has as an objective to analyze the legal procedures used by the United Nations and its member states to reform or modify the United Nations chart with the purpose of contributing to the fact that the UN be more efficient and effective. We began the study by the origin and characteristics of the international organizations in general and the UN in particular, its constitutive treaty, as in the different attempts to reform the Chart. We analyze the modifications that have taken place in the main bodies of the United Nations and the material modifications that have affected the principal purpose of the organization: peace keeping and international security and we show irrefutable examples of the rulings of the chart that have been modified through a constant and even practice, with the objective of providing the organization with the necessary mechanisms to accomplish the desired purposes.

Full textInterventionist Research based on the Cultural-Historical Activity Theory (CHAT), of expansive learning and which uses the dialog method helps in the quest for solutions for complex institutional crises which call for urgent decisions which impact society. The objective of the study was to apply and analyze the interventionist Change Laboratory (CL) methodology, its principles and its meta-tools to an empirical case of the institutional distancing of the School Public Health of the University of São Paulo (SPH/USP) from the Educational Health Center Geraldo de Paula Souza (EHCGPS). This is a formative interventionist research in the case study mode which occurred between 2013 and 2016. A documentary analysis and exploratory observation were undertaken for the collection of ethnographic data, as also were semi-structured interviews, planning meetings and CL sessions. The theoretical frame of reference used for the data analysis was the CL method. The use of Vygostsky\'s double-stimulation principle helped the participants and researchers to identify the contradictions in the Activity Systems (ASs) and reveal the historical and systemic genesis of the problems which culminated in the crisis and the distancing in the collaborative relationship in academic activities. The recovery of the origins of the contradictions revealed as conflicts and disturbances and the analysis of these contradictions served to retro-feed the participants\' learning process. The Time-line was one of the meta-tools used which helped to identify the convergence which had existed in the past between the objectives of the SPH/USP and the EHCGPS and the critical events which arose from the changes in the policies, at one and the same time economic, of health and of education which, among other internal factors of the institutions concerned contributed both directly and indirectly to the distancing, the rupture and the crisis experienced. The historical analysis was an element essential to the organizational and expansive learning process because it favored the expression of the activity of the authors involved. At the end of the intervention, the vision which the actors hadof the problems involved was enlarged into the understanding of the crisis of the public university in its relationship with society, understood as a crisis of the legitimacy of the public university. There was a broadening of concepts which enabled the actors to visualize solutions and plan the activity of future collaboration within the ambit of what the academic-pedagogical relations and the process of the working of the Unified 11Health System (UHS) would be. Despite the research\'s having been undertaken in a context of institutional uncertainty, in which there was a lack of political decision as to the fate of one of the institutions concerned, the formative intervention using the CL, which associates research and extension work, was considered a powerful tool for the enlargement of learning and the actors\' participation, capable of transforming the ASs.

The research method of this thesis is Case study and Yulon Motor Co. is an example for this case study. In order to find out the Yulon motor Co.’s organization, constitution of departments and each different situation at that time, I collect the organizational charts which are about fifty years from the beginning of this company until now and the other inside historic data. By analyzing these data, I summarize the process of the organizational growth and change of Yulon motor Co. Therefore; there are some key points as the following: To begin with, the main organizational structure of Yulon motor Co. is by function. It sets up the benchmark of the complete organizational systems for motor industry in Taiwan, including: research & development, manufacturing and marketing system. Second, organizational tasks at each period would affect the adjustment of organizational structure. There are some main periods as the following: 1.The period was from 1951 to 1971-----Making the Wheel for Taiwan According to this task, the organizational structure was established at manufacturing and increased a few departments and responsibilities based on the needs of production. 2.The period was from 1981---Designing the automobile for Chinese and regain the rights of dealer business When the manufacturing technology was achieved to some level, the designing capability of motor outline was the main competition with the other motor companies. Immediately, Yulon Motor Co. set up the first design center compared with the other motor companies. In the meanwhile, it closed the relationship of dealer business with China Auto Co. Therefore, Yulon Motor Co. rebuilt the network of dealer business all over the Taiwan. It also led the inside of Yulon Motor Co. to reorganize the organizational structure of marketing system. 3.The period was from 1991----relocating the factory and office and reducing the business cost At the end of the 1994, Yulon Motor Co. relocated the other factories, center and office at San-Yi. At the same time, Company combined the same function on the organization and integrated the organizational structure into four systems, including: research & development, manufacturing, marketing and management system to reduce the business cost. This adjustment of the organizational structure made the Yulon Motor Co. abbreviate its original organizational structure and got a positive response from market. 4.The period was from 2001---to be a leader of motor moving value chain at Chinese market Owing to open market in Mainland China, designing the Chinese style on automobile is the main competition in the future. That’s the reason why Yulon Motor Co. focuses on Chinese market as a company’s vision. Third, the history of changing process on the organization of Yulon Motor Co. matches the research of Lawrence & Lorsch. From the history of Yulon Motor Co., it’s easy to find out that the adjustment of organizational structure such as manufacturing, research & development and marketing would be changed by timing, environment and productive technology to achieve the organizational goals or to deal with the competitive outside environment. This kind of adjustment of organizational structure matches the survey’s outcomes of Lawrence & Lorsch. It said that each department on the organization would develop its own function and structure to deal with the variety of outside environment. This survey investigates the ten companies at three different departments, including manufacturing, research & development and marketing department. At last, there are two main strategies for Yulon Motor Co. to overcome the obstacle of communication at different departments: 1.Set up a committee or a meeting of cross function team. 2.Do job rotation.

The development and application of Building Information Modeling (BIM) has become an in-negligible trend in the construction industry in recent years. BIM has become a basic requirement for competition in the trade in many advanced countries in the European and American regions. The Agency-in-charge of construction projects within our country has already started initiating or even piloting BIM. Many large-scale construction companies within the country have also introduced BIM into their operation. Nevertheless, the process of introducing BIM into the trade has faced many challenges, mainly due to the high cost incurred for introducing BIM in the initial stage which is only affordable for large-scale consultants and construction companies, and the technology cannot be spreaded to small and medium-sized consultants, construction companies and architects offices. Hence BIM cannot be effectively utilized throughout the process from design to consutrction. Even in cases where sufficient resources were available for introducing BIM, companies still face pressure from retrieving the value of the resources invested. The key rests in the adjustment of the structure of the entire organization and the efficiency of impelementation. This paper will explore the issues encountered by construction companies within our nation in implementing construction projects with BIM introduced. Through literature review, interview with experts and analysis of surveys, this paper hopes to explore possible solutions and propose directors for continual development. By conducting surveys and analysis on the actual effect on construction process by different workflows with BIM introduced, we would also get to know about the clients’ degree of satisfaction regarding the changed workflow in designing the projects. The research could be taken as reference by construction companies in designing implementation during the initial stage of introducing BIM. The research will not only take into account the soft and hardwares required in introducing BIM, costs for personnel training and specific professionals required, but also collect data concerning the challenges faced by construction companies regarding “incomplete information on design drafts which results in repeated review and revisions”, “difficulties in preparing budgets due to high cost of introducing BIM”, “difficulties in accounting manpower and time required during the construction process”, etc, and propose better solutions for construction companies attempting to introduce BIM. These include “integrated approach in introducing BIM from top to bottom”, “Government’s increased efforts in promoting BIM through its policy applied in the construction industry”, “enhancing the training of personnel and accumulation of experiences”. The research would also analyse the clients’ degree of satisfaction regarding the changed workflow in designing the projects.

ABSTRACT Keywords:Site Organization, Control Function Chart, Control Function The construction industry relies relatively heavily on labors who take charge of different kinds of jobs. Owing to the complicated labors, jobs, facilities, capital plan and building site in the project organization plan, normally it is hard to manage the site efficiently sorely depending on the experienced engineers. If there are some strategies such as control function chart (CFC) to enhance the sharing of resource, promote the communication of site organization, confirm the duties of workers, and reduce the cost from the beginning of project in the construction companies. Then, the performance will achieve the most efficiency and benefit. Purpose of this study was to modify the CFC developed by Sanvido & Pauson to fit the practical needs and conditions of project organization plan in Taiwan. Methods of interview and observation were utilized. The data was collected and analyzed to examine the workers, jobs, duties, process, and control functions of CFC. And the results of this study was the modified CFC which can be applied in the project organization plan in Taiwan, hopefully to reach the goals of efficiency, effectiveness, and benefit of project organization plan.

The research method of this thesis is Archival Analysis method. First of all, according to accreditation of the hospital, we selected 104 hospitals, 73 hospitals organization charts in total, for the research objects. Secondly, we categorized organization charts based on the ownership of hospital and its statues. Finally, we deduced the types of hospitals administration department from their history and hospital administration management developed history. According to the result, there are three types of hospitals administration department that include: the Model of National Taiwan University Hospital, the Model of Chang Gung Memorial Hospital, and the Model of China Medical University Hospital. Most of Taiwan hospitals are belonged to the Model of National Taiwan University Hospital and the Model of Chang Gung Memorial Hospital. These two types existed before the National Health Insurance practiced. However, the Model of China Medical University Hospital occurred and developed into a staff system after the National Health Insurance practiced. By the configuration theory of Henry Mintzberg, the National Taiwan University Hospital Model is a professional organization, and its administration department is acting as assistance in managing, the medical unit leads the control over all. On contrast with the National Taiwan University Hospital Model, The Chang Gung Memorial Hospital Model tended to be a machine organization, administration is a core management which had a powerful authority. The China Medical University Hospital Model is a combination of those two models but slightly tends to machine organization; therefore its administration department has the authority. By understanding the role of management and it’s important in hospital system, administrator has to rethink about the mission statement, the prospect and the impact from the changing of hospital system based on macro viewpoint in order to manage its Human Resource Management resources efficiently.
