Abstract:
Origanum tyttanthum Gontsch. was collected from two different sites in south-central Tajikistan. The essential oils were obtained by hydrodistillation and analyzed by gas chromatography – mass spectrometry. A total of 52 compounds were identified representing 99.0-100% of total oil compositions. The major components of Origanum tyttanthum Gontsch. oil were carvacrol (34.3-59.2%), thymol (10.8-46.4%), p-cymene (0.7-7.3%), β-thujone (1.9-4.1%), piperitenone oxide (0.1-3.8%), γ-terpinene (0.3-3.5%), cis-piperitone epoxide (0.8-3.3%), carvacrol acetate (0.4-2.4%), menthone (0.6-2.1%) and borneol (

Abstract:
Biologically active substances, essential oils, and plant extracts were studied obtained from new high-yield varieties of Origanum vulgare L. (Raduga, Belaya Ptitsa, Krymchanka) and Origanum tyttanthum Contsch. (Alcina) of the GSBSI “NBG – NSC RAS” breeding. It was found that the O. vulgare variety Belaya Ptitsa was distinguished by the content of essential oil, the main component of which was carvacrol. The maximum total content of phenolic substances and flavonoids was distinguished by an alcoholic extract from the O. tyttanthum variety. Neochlorogenic and rosemary acids, apigenin-6,8-di-C-g

Abstract:
The result of investigation have shown that the plants obtained from green cuttings in the first year after planting were more developed by morphometric characteristics and were more exceed to parameters of productivity such as: the crop yield of top (in 1.5-2.7 times), the mass percentage of essential oil (in 1.2-3.0 times), collecting oil from the plant (in 1.8-5.5 times) than the plants obtained by dividing the bush. Thus, it’s advisable to use seedlings obtained from green cuttings for laying the industrial plantations of Origanum vulgare and O. tyttanthum .
