Abstract:
This article will investigate a certain similarity between Origen’s response to Celsus’ True Logos and the criticisms against Longinus’ interpretation of the early pages of Plato’s Timaeus made in Proclus’ Commentary by a certain Origenes, usually held to be a pagan though without compelling evidence. Origen begins by assuming that ‘Celsus’ was an Epicurean of that name, even though it has long been obvious that ‘Celsus’ has adopted a Platonist point of view and that Origen’s answers often rely on Plato’s authority; in Proclus, Origenes regularly regards Longinus’ explanations as turning Plato into a hedonist by having him aim at the reader’s pleasure, and at one point Longinus even made reference to Epicurus. The paper uses recent work on the presence in Porphyry and Lucian of alternative names, whether inside philosophic schools or as a nom de plume, to argue that Origen could not be sure of his opponent’s identity, but that as he wrote he came to suspect that ‘Celsus’ was in fact his younger contemporary Longinus, the initial teacher of Porphyry himself. Hence the allusions to his ‘philological’ tendencies. If this is correct, then there is additional reason to identify Origen with Origenes.

Abstract:
In the context of Danish studies of Origen, Anders-Christian Jacobsen’s thesis for the attainment of the higher doctoral degree marks a significant event. It is the first comprehensive Danish work on Origen since Hal Koch’s Pronoia und Paideusis (1932). Yet, the thesis promises more than it can accomplish. I criticise the book for falling short on two accounts. First, throughout the book there is a continuous self-claimed conflation of Origen’s use of allegorisation with Jacobsen’ method, since he advocates the view that in order to grasp Origen one has to adopt his method. Second, by focusing narrowly on works pertaining to the discussion of Origen’s Christology and soteriology the author eclipses that scholarly trajectory which during the last forty years has provided significant insight into Origen’s epistemology. The question is never posed whether the asserted unity of the Christology is a reflection of the underlying Platonic epistemology or vice-versa. Finally, Jacobsen emphasises how his thesis provides a methodological novum by introducing a clear-cut distinction between the addressees of Origen’s Homilies (‘simple Christians’) and the recipients of his Biblical Commentaries (‘spiritually mature Christians’). Yet, this distinction originates in Karen Jo Torjesen’s Hermeneutical Procedure and Theological Method in Origen’s Exegesis (Berlin and New York, DeGruyter 1986, p. 61).

Abstract:
Trin.Coll. B. 8. 10; Monac.gr. 191; Marc.gr. 43, Vat.gr. 597; Par.gr. 455; Matr.gr. 4725; Barb.gr. 575; Barb.gr. 556), dei quali si offrirà un'aggiornata sistemazione stemmatica (capitolo 7).
This thesis has two distinct but related purposes. First of all, it aims at testing the greater or lesser willingness of Byzantine readers to dialogue with the fascinating but controversial Origen's legacy. In this perspective, we will investigate a curious reference, contained in the acts of the Second Council of Nicaea (787), to the presumed acts of an apostolic synod held in Antioch and kept in Origen's library (chapter 1). We will then focus on the study of Photius' appreciation of the figure and work of Origen. The evaluation of his theological thought will be joined with the material transmission of Origen's works. Indeed, ms. Marc.gr. 47of the Philocalia will be particularly relevant in this research (chapter 2). Secondly, this thesis will deal with the reception and the medieval transmission of a work by Origen, the Commentary on Matthew. The edition of books 12 and 13 will therefore be 560 provided, departing from the ecdotic criteria adopted by Klostermann in his 1935 edition. For this work, a Greek text is available (books 10-17 on 25), partially overlapping with an anonymous Latin translation (5th-6th century). Our aim is to demonstrate that our Greek manuscripts do not transmit the text as licensed by the author. On the contrary, they attest a later compilation, in which the Commentary on Matthew has been heavily abbreviated. We will come to this conclusion through the systematic comparison between the Greek text and the Latin translation, which often appears wider (chapter 4), and with the exegetical chains dedicated to the Synoptic Gospels which, where they draw from Origen's Commentary, offer passages unknown to the direct tradition (chapter 3). The same conclusions will then be drawn from the study of other branches of the tradition, among which the fragments of Crypt. Γ. β. VI stand out. They are in fact a witness of the unabridged version of the Commentary on Matthew (chapters 5 and 6). In its 1935 edition, Klostermann had inserted in the Greek text conjectures and additions derived from the systematic comparison with the Latin translation. Here we offer instead an edition of the Greek abridged version, purified from the interventions of the German scholar. The Greek text will be accompanied by a strictly literal Italian translation and will be followed by a series of notes to justify the most delicate ecdotic choices. The edition will also be based on a new codicological and palaeographic study of the Greek manuscripts of the Commentary on Matthew (Cantabr.Trin.Coll. B. 8. 10; Monac.gr. 191; Marc.gr. 43, Vat.gr. 597; Par.gr. 455; Matr.gr. 4725; Barb.gr. 575; Barb.gr. 556). Finally, an updated stemmatic arrangement of the manuscript tradition will be offered (chapter 7).

Abstract:
Ecuador is experiencing important changes, in them, the adoption of a new Developmental paradigm, the Sumak Kawsay, that arises from the philosophy of indigenous settlements and has been incorporated in the political Constitution of Ecuador as the Regime and Rights of Good Living and the Rights of Nature. Another significant change conferred importance to Land Planning under a new regulatory framework and a massive experience of planning at all levels of government. In this context, there are also emerging the Life Plans of the Territories of the Indigenous Communities. This work does not intend to answer a previously posed question, but on the contrary, it seeks to present the theme and conclude with various questions, whose future answers could potentially pave the way of linking the relationship of the Western world with nature by looking at those who never separated from it.

Abstract:
There are now twenty commercial nuclear power reactors operating as of May 2010 in South Korea. As nuclear capacity becomes higher and installations age, the Korean government and industry have launched R&D to estimate appropriate decommissioning costs of power reactors. In this paper, MCNP/ORIGEN2 code system which is being developed as a source term evaluation tool was verified by comparing the estimated nuclide inventory from MCNP/ORIGEN2 simulation with the measured nuclide inventory from chemical assay in an irradiated pressure tube discharged from Wolsong Unit 1 in 1994. Equilibrium core model of Wolsoung unit 1 was used as a neutron source to activate in-core and ex-core structural components. As a result, the estimated values from the analysis system agreed with measured data within 20% difference. Therefore, it can be concluded that MCNP/ORIGEN system could be a reliable tool to estimate source terms of decommissioning wastes from CANDU reactor, although this system assumes constant flux irradiation and snapshot equilibrium core model as a reference core.
