Abstract:

Abstract:

Abstract:
As software evolves and becomes more complex, self-adaptive systems become a moreinteresting solution. Self-adaptive software systems are capable to perform changes inthemselves without human intervention. To make this possible it is necessary toperform a good observation of the system and its environment. This observation is madeby a monitoring system. In this paper, a framework for monitoring OSGi based applications is presented.OSGi is a module system and service platform for Java. This framework offers run-timeinformation about OSGi modules, services and their behavior. The first step is to make a state-of-the-art survey of existing methods to monitor inthe field of self-adaptive systems and OSGi based applications. The survey reviews aset of articles in the area. It is performed to discover what are the common objectivesand problems that any monitoring system faces. After that, the requirements for theframework are stated. These requirements specify the functionality that the frameworkis required to provide, along with the quality attributes that it has to meet. Todemonstrate use of the contributed monitoring framework, we have developed twoexample demonstrators. The objective of these demonstrators is to provide users of theframework with working examples, so that they can use the framework to develop theirown monitoring systems.

Abstract:
This research is formally classified as a study of Franco-Vietnarnese non governmental relations. It deals with the evaluation of the French non-governmental organisations (OSI), one of the major contributors who has significantly invested in Vietnam as well as in many humanitarian endeavours to aid in the development since 1975. On one level, it takes into consideration these various aspects: origin, structure, resources, practices, employment conditions, and modes of intervention at the national office as well as in the field. On the other level, it indicates gratitude for the diversity study and the implemented actions taken. It also indicates the assets they have above other participants, the weaknesses that limit theirs actions, the relations they have established with other partners, and the role they play in instituting social policies for the country. The objective is to clarify the factors that constitute and affect this community, and to indicate how they can obtain the objective of thejr function in the particular Vietnamese context marked by the seizure of a Party Government and the presence of a great number of international actors. Over 300 French NGOs working in Vietnam is an impressive phenomenon. Their contribution to the promotion of Franco-Vietnamese relations is undeniable, However, this motivated and competent community has suffered from jnsufficient attention from the political protagonists of the two countries. There are many things that can be done by both the public authorities and the non governmental organisations to make French help more efficient and to give an exemplary image of the cooperation between a developed country and a developing one

Abstract:
Traffic systems are the cause of both significant carbon emissions andinjuries in our world today. In an effort to better the traffic systems,a large amount of work is being put into making them intelligent. Byincreased information sharing and decision-making based on better data, intelligent traffic systems (ITS) hope to increase efficiency and safety onthe roads. Making ITS can be quite complex as the systems are alreadycomplex and large, it is therefore important to make the developmentand quality of ITS as good as possible. This thesis aims to find out whether Reactive Blocks and OSGi, amodelling based tool and a component system run in Java, is the rightplatform on which to build an ITS, specifically in the Norwegian trafficsystem environment. Simply put, the question the thesis aims to answeris: To what degree is Reactive Blocks and OSGi a good platform for ITSdevelopment? To answer the aforementioned question, a literature study has beenconducted, as well as making and testing a prototype application. Fromthe results of the literature study and the prototype a theoretical evaluationof the platform has been made. The results indicate that Reactive Blocks and OSGi is a very goodfit to the platform of ITS. It is in all likelihood a right choice whendeveloping ITS. It has beneficial features that the competition lacks, thatmake up for its respective drawbacks.Based on the results, Reactive Blocks and OSGi is recommended fordeveloping ITSs.
