Abstract:
Three new species of Osmylus Latreille are described from China: Osmylus maoershanicola sp. n., Osmylus shaanxiensis sp. n. and Osmylus angustimarginatus sp. n. These new species are distinguishable from other related species by the shape of the 9th tergite of both sexes, as well as the shape of gonarcus, mediuncus and spermatheca. A key is given to differentiate Palaearctic and Oriental species of Osmylus.

<i>Osmylus fulvicephalus</i> (Scopoli, 1763), the type species of the Osmylidae, has garnered significant research interest in taxonomy, particularly regarding its larval stages. To date, most studies have focused on the third instar larvae, but ignore the first instar larvae with the rough and incomplete morphological descriptions. This lack of studies has led to an unclear understanding of the morphological differences between larval stages, making it challenging to identify larvae, distinguish different osmylid species or even reconstruct phylogeny. In this study, the first instar larva of <

There is sugar response sequence (SRS) in the promoter upstream of these rice α-amylase genes. The SRS of αAmy3 gene contains three essential elements, GC box, G box, and duplicated TATCCA elements. The protein factors that bind to the TATCCA element have recently been isolated and designated OsMYBS1, OsMYBS2, and OsMYBS3. To study the physiological function of OsMYBSs in rice, Agrobacterium-mediated gene transformation strategy was employed. Both const
