Abstract:
We investigated the gene expression for non-collagenous proteins in periodontal ligament (PDL) by in situ hybridization histochemistry with a non-radioisotopic probe with cRNAs for osteocalcin (Osc), osteonectin (Osn), and osteopontin (Opn) in rat maxillary dento-alveolar unit containing molars and intact PDL. A highly intense positive signal for Osn and Osc mRNAs was expressed at all distal surfaces of the interradicular septum of buccal roots of the upper second molar in 7-week-old Sprague-Dawley male rats. Cells showing positive signals for Osn and Osc mRNAs were osteoblasts and osteoprogenitor cells. The distribution of Opn mRNA-positive signal was demonstrable at the mesial surface of the interradicular septum of buccal roots, where physiological bone resorption was specifically restricted during physiological tooth movement. Opn mRNA was expressed in cells on the bone resorption surface, including osteoclasts, and osteocytes. A moderately intense positive signal for Osn mRNA was distributed in fibroblasts throughout the ligament. Odontoblasts and pre-mature odontoblasts exhibited a strong signal for Osn and Osc mRNA. Cementoblasts and cementocytes were positive for Osn, Osc, and Opn mRNAs. These findings suggest physiological roles of Osc, Osn, and Opn in bone remodeling, PDL remodeling, dentinogenesis, and cementogenesis.

Abstract:
Online Social Network (OSN) is a web 2.0 enabled technology that permits OSN participants to interact with both old and new friends initially. This model of OSN ventured into conducting business activities on platforms, which resulted in many springing up but not surviving, yet the explosion of business activities on these platforms continuous to grow. It is therefore important that OSN practitioners and researchers understand the key determinants of OSN business transaction and continuance intention propellants. The purpose of this paper is to establish the factors that determine OSN participant’s continuance intention to do business on OSN platform. The research framework is grounded in an extended expectation-confirmation model (ECM). An online survey model was used to collect 300 valid responses from OSN participants who have ever conducted business using OSN. A partial least square version 2.0.M3 (PLS) and Warp PLS 4.0 were deployed to perform CFA analyses and structural equation modelling, respectively. The emerging results provide significant evidence in support of the five out of nine factors tested against the hypotheses proposed, namely: Perceived Behavioural Control (0.01), Satisfaction (0.14), Expected Benefit (0.15), Social Norms (0.24), and Habit (0.31), as the main determinants of OSN continuance intention.

Abstract:
We analyze an agent-based model to estimate how the costs and benefits of users in an online social network (OSN) impact the robustness of the OSN. Benefits are measured in terms of relative reputation that users receive from their followers. They can be increased by direct and indirect reciprocity in following each other, which leads to a core-periphery structure of the OSN. Costs relate to the effort to login, to maintain the profile, etc. and are assumed as constant for all users. The robustness of the OSN depends on the entry and exit of users over time. Intuitively, one would expect that higher costs lead to more users leaving and hence to a less robust OSN. We demonstrate that an optimal cost level exists, which maximizes both the performance of the OSN, measured by means of the long-term average benefit of its users, and the robustness of the OSN, measured by means of the lifetime of the core of the OSN. Our mathematical and computational analyses unfold how changes in the cost level impact reciprocity and subsequently the core-periphery structure of the OSN, to explain the optimal cost level.

Abstract:
Purpose – The purpose of this paper is to propose a conference-based online social network (OSN) for academics’ knowledge sharing and collaboration around and beyond a conference, while exploring the entanglement of the social and technical aspects of the system. Design/methodology/approach – Following an exploratory study, an OSN prototype was developed and implemented in ECIS 2014. The usage of the OSN platform was monitored and in-depth interviews were conducted with seven of its active users. Findings – Academic researchers have positive attitudes toward using conference-based OSN. However, there is a gap between academics’ perceptions and their actual behavior. Several barriers for engagement were identified, leading to technical and social recommendations, including the following needs: integrating the OSN platform with other conference information systems; addressing privacy concerns; allowing on-going collaboration; increasing OSN vitality; using the wisdom of the crowd; and promotion and its timing. Research limitations/implications – The case study highlighted existing benefits, and identified potential future benefits from implementing a conference-based OSN. Future research is required to generalize the findings and evaluate the proposed strategies for enhancing user engagement. Practical implications – This study revealed the set of considerations that should be taken upon launching a new academic OSN, which are beyond the technical issues per se. Social implications – The paper presents the expected benefits from, and existing barriers to using a conference-based OSN, and suggests recommendations for encouraging academics to engage in such OSN, in order to enhance long-term social interactions, knowledge sharing and collaboration among conference participants. Originality/value – This is a first study to examine a conference-based OSN.

Abstract:
Organic solvent nanofiltration (OSN) has been recognized as an eco-friendly separation system owing to its excellent cost and energy saving efficiency, easy scale-up in the narrow area and mild operation conditions. Membrane properties are the key part in terms of determining the separation efficiency in the OSN system. In this review paper, the recently reported OSN thin-film composite (TFC) membranes were investigated to understand insight of membrane materials and performance. Especially, we highlighted the representative study concepts and materials of the selective layer of OSN TFC membranes for non-polar solvents. The proper choice of monomers and additives for the selective layer forms much more interconnected voids and the enhanced microporosity, which can improve membrane performance of the OSN TFC membrane with reducing the transport resistance. Therefore, this review paper could be an important bridge to connect with the next-generation OSN TFC membranes for non-polar solvents.

Abstract:
This paper analyzes the relationship between the productive efficiency and the Online Social Networks - OSN in the Spanish telecommunications firms. First, a data envelopment analysis (DEA) is used and several indicators of business "Social Media" activities are incorporated. In a second stage, a logistic regression model regression is applied to characterize the efficient enterprises. Results show that the company's ability to absorb and utilize this OSN is a key factor in improving the productive efficiency. These results on the combined use and different management capabilities of OSN point to a definition of OSN as a heterogeneous resource. This paper presents a model for assessing the strategic performance to address their presence and activity in OSN.

Abstract:
The advent of online social networks (OSN) has transformed a common passive reader into a content contributor. It has allowed users to share information and exchange opinions, and also express themselves in online virtual communities to interact with other users of similar interests. However, OSN have turned the social sphere of users into the commercial sphere. This should create a privacy and security issue for OSN users. OSN service providers collect the private and sensitive data of their customers that can be misused by data collectors, third parties, or by unauthorized users. In this paper, common security and privacy issues are explained along with recommendations to OSN users to protect themselves from these issues whenever they use social media.

Abstract:
PurposeIn modern society, considering the multi-channel of public opinion information (public opinion) propagation and its strong influence on social development, it is necessary to study its propagation law and discuss the intervention strategy in online social networks (OSN).Design/methodology/approachFirst, a conceptual model of double-layer OSN was constructed according to their structural characteristics. Then, a cross-network propagation model of public opinion in double-layer OSN was proposed and discussed its spreading characteristics through numerical simulations. Finally, the control strategy of public opinion, especially the timing and intensity of intervention were discussed.FindingsThe results show that the double-layer OSN promotes the propagation of public opinion, and the propagation of public opinion in double-layer OSN has the characteristics of that in two single-layer OSN. Compared with the intervention intensity, the regulator should give the priority to the timing of intervention and try to intervene in the early stage of public opinion propagation.Practical implicationsThis study may help the regulators to respond to the propagation of public opinion in OSN more actively and reasonably.Originality/valueThis research has a deep comprehension of the cross-network propagation rules of public opinion and manages the propagation of public opinion.

Abstract:
There has been an explosive increase in the population of the OSN (online social network) in recent years. The OSN provides users with many opportunities to communicate among friends and family. Further, it facilitates developing new relationships with previously unknown people having similar beliefs or interests. However, the OSN can expose users to adverse effects such as privacy breaches, the disclosing of uncontrolled material, and the disseminating of false information. Traditional access control models such as MAC, DAC, and RBAC are applied to the OSN to address these problems. However, these models are not suitable for the dynamic OSN environment because user behavior in the OSN is unpredictable and static access control imposes a burden on the users to change the access control rules individually. We propose a dynamic trust-based access control for the OSN to address the problems of the traditional static access control. Moreover, we provide novel criteria to evaluate trust factors such as sociological approach and evaluate a method to calculate the dynamic trust values. The proposed method can monitor negative behavior and modify access permission levels dynamically to prevent the indiscriminate disclosure of information.

Abstract:
Odorant receptors (OR) are strongly implicated in coalescence of olfactory sensory neuron (OSN) axons and the formation of olfactory bulb (OB) glomeruli. However, when ORs are first expressed relative to basal cell division and OSN axon extension is unknown. We developed an in vivo fate-mapping strategy that enabled us to follow OSN maturation and axon extension beginning at basal cell division. In parallel, we mapped the molecular development of OSNs beginning at basal cell division, including the onset of OR expression. Our data show that ORs are first expressed around 4 d following basal cell division, 24 h after OSN axons have reached the OB. Over the next 6+ days the OSN axons navigate the OB nerve layer and ultimately coalesce in glomeruli. These data provide a previously unidentified perspective on the role of ORs in homophilic OSN axon adhesion and lead us to propose a new model dividing axon extension into two phases. Phase I is OR-independent and accounts for up to 50% of the time during which axons approach the OB and begin navigating the olfactory nerve layer. Phase II is OR-dependent and concludes as OSN axons coalesce in glomeruli.

Abstract:
Predicting critical nodes of Opportunistic Sensor Network (OSN) can help us not only to improve network performance but also to decrease the cost in network maintenance. However, existing ways of predicting critical nodes in static network are not suitable for OSN. In this paper, the conceptions of critical nodes, region contribution, and cut-vertex in multiregion OSN are defined. We propose an approach to predict critical node for OSN, which is based on multiple attribute decision making (MADM). It takes RC to present the dependence of regions on Ferry nodes. TOPSIS algorithm is employed to find out Ferry node with maximum comprehensive contribution, which is a critical node. The experimental results show that, in different scenarios, this approach can predict the critical nodes of OSN better.

Abstract:
Purpose This purpose of this paper is to investigate Iranian manager’s perceptions towards the use of online social networking (OSN) for improving corporate social responsibility (CSR) communication. Design/methodology/approach The websites and Facebook pages of 23 companies that had won National Excellence Awards for CSR were reviewed in 2011, and 15 managers from across these participated in a survey, to assess the extent these companies used online facilities to develop CSR practices. These interviews raised awareness of the potential of OSN, so company websites and Facebook pages were reviewed again in 2013 to assess changes to CSR and OSN practices. Findings Despite recognition for their high level of awareness and implementation of CSR practices analysis of the initial surveys indicated that OSN uptake among the respondent companies was poor in 2011. Managers saw little value in using OSN to promote and engage with CSR; however, the level of engagement and uptake had substantially increased by 2013. Originality/value This study is one of the first to evaluate the use of OSN to improve CSR in a developing country. The study examines managers’ perceptions of the effect of OSN on CSR. Findings suggest that once management became aware of the value of social networking, they used it to engage with stakeholders from the marketplace, community and workplace to promote their business and for CSR-related issues. This rapid uptake demonstrates how quickly OSN technology can be implemented once its potential is identified.

Abstract:
Compared to the traditional chemical-crosslinking-based polymer, the porous polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE) substrate is considered to be an excellent support for the fabrication of thin-film composite (TFC) organic solvent nanofiltration (OSN) membranes. However, the low surface energy and chemical inertness of PTFE membranes presented major challenges for fabricating a polyamide active layer on its surface via interfacial polymerization (IP). In this study, a triple-layered TFC OSN membrane was fabricated via IP, which consisted of a PA top layer on a carbon nanotube (CNT) interlayer covering the macroporous PTFE substrate. The defect-free formation and cross-linking degree of the PA layer can be improved by controlling the CNT deposition amount to achieve a good OSN performance. This new TFC OSN membrane exhibited a high dye rejection (the rejection of Bright blue B > 97%) and a moderate and stable methanol permeated flux of approximately 8.0 L m−2 h−1 bar−1. Moreover, this TFC OSN membrane also exhibited an excellent solvent resistance to various organic solvents and long-term stability during a continuous OSN process.

Abstract:
Online Social Network (OSN) is an application for enabling public communication and sharing information. However, the fake account in the OSN can spread false information with an unknown source. It is a challenging task to detect malicious accounts in a large OSN system. The existence of fake accounts or unknown accounts on OSN can be a severe issue in data privacy-preserving. Various communities have proposed many techniques to deal with fake accounts in OSN, including rule-based black-white technique until learning approaches. Therefore, in this study we propose a classification model using the RNN to detect fake accounts accurately and effectively. We conduct this study in several steps, including gathering datasets, pre-processing, extraction, training our models using RNN. Based on the experiment result, our proposed model can produce a higher accuracy than the conventional learning model

ABSTRACT Employees' use of online social networking (OSN) is dramatically increasing the risk exposure of companies. This study extends previous information security policy compliance research to include factors influencing employees to play OSN games on company-owned computers. An online factorial survey method experiment collected data from a sample of white-collar workers for testing hypotheses based upon accountability and boundary theories. The likelihood to play OSN games is tested with and without a policy related to this behavior. Results indicate that the presence of a social networking policy, logging awareness, and monitoring practices reduced participants' likelihood of playing OSN games on company-owned computers. After splitting the sample on the presence/absence of an OSN policy, results show that in the presence of a policy, monitoring practices and age significantly reduced the participants' likelihood of playing. In the absence of a policy, logging and monitoring reduced the likelihood of playing.

Abstract:
The mammalian olfactory system displays species-specific adaptations to different ecological niches. To investigate the evolutionary dynamics of olfactory sensory neuron (OSN) subtypes across mammalian evolution, we applied RNA sequencing of whole olfactory mucosa samples from mouse, rat, dog, marmoset, macaque, and human. We find that OSN subtypes, representative of all known mouse chemosensory receptor gene families, are present in all analyzed species. Further, we show that OSN subtypes expressing canonical olfactory receptors are distributed across a large dynamic range and that homologous subtypes can be either highly abundant across all species or species/order specific. Highly abundant mouse and human OSN subtypes detect odorants with similar sensory profiles and sense ecologically relevant odorants, such as mouse semiochemicals or human key food odorants. Together, our results allow for a better understanding of the evolution of mammalian olfaction in mammals and provide insights into the possible functions of highly abundant OSN subtypes.

Abstract:
Purpose Users are the key players in an online social network (OSN), so the behavior of the OSN is strongly related to their behavior. User weight refers to the influence of the users on the OSN. The purpose of this paper is to propose a method to identify the user weight based on a new metric for defining the time intervals. Design/methodology/approach The behavior of an OSN changes over time, thus the user weight in the OSN is different in each time frame. Therefore, a good metric for estimating the user weight in an OSN depends on the accuracy of the metric used to define the time interval. New metric for defining the time intervals is based on the standard deviation and identifies that the user weight is based on a simple exponential smoothing model. Findings The results show that the proposed method covers the maximum behavioral changes of the OSN and is able to identify the influential users in the OSN more accurately than existing methods. Research limitations/implications In event detection, when a terrorist attack occurs as an event, knowing the influential users help us to know the leader of the attack. Knowing the influential user in each time interval based on this study can help us to detect communities which formed around these people. Finally, in marketing, this issue helps us to have a targeted advertising. Practical implications User effect is a significant issue in many OSN domain problems, such as community detection, event detection and recommender systems. Originality/value Previous studies do not give priority to the recent time intervals in identifying the relative importance of users. Thus, defining a metric to compute a time interval that covers the maximum changes in the network is a major shortcoming of earlier studies. Some experiments were conducted on six different data sets to test the performance of the proposed model in terms of the computed time intervals and user weights.

Abstract:
Purpose Given the importance of online social network (OSN) media features, many studies have focused on how different types of OSNs with various media features influence users’ usage and engagement. However, a recent literature review indicates that few empirical studies have considered how different types of OSNs with different information accessibility levels influence users’ beliefs and self-disclosure. By comparing two OSN platforms (OSNs with high-level information accessibility vs OSNs with low-level information accessibility), the purpose of this paper is to address this opportunity by investigating the differential impacts of the two platforms on individuals’ psychological cognition – particularly users’ social exchange beliefs – and explaining how these beliefs translate into OSN self-disclosure. Design/methodology/approach This study used a factorial design approach in an experimental setting to examine how different levels of information accessibility (high vs low), influence the social exchange beliefs (i.e. perceived social capital bridging, perceived social capital bonding and perceived privacy risks) of OSN users and subsequently influence OSN self-disclosure. Findings The results show that users on OSNs with high-level information accessibility express significantly higher perceived social capital bridging and perceived privacy risks than users on OSNs with low-level information accessibility. However, users on OSNs with low-level information accessibility express higher social bonding beliefs than users on OSNs with high-level information accessibility, indicating that there are different effect mechanisms toward OSN self-disclosure. Originality/value The focus of this research helps unveil the complex relationships between OSN design features (e.g. information accessibility), psychological cognition (e.g. social capital bridging, social capital bonding and privacy risks) and OSN self-disclosure. First, it clarifies the relationship between information accessibility and self-disclosure by examining the mediating effect of three core social exchange beliefs. Second, it uncovers the distinct effects of high-level information-accessible OSNs and low-level information-accessible OSNs on OSN self-disclosure.

Abstract:
Organic solvents take up 80% of the total chemicals used in pharmaceutical and related industries, while their reuse rate is less than 50%. Traditional solvent treatment methods such as distillation and evaporation have many disadvantages such as high cost, environmental unfriendliness, and difficulty in recovering heat-sensitive, high-value molecules. Organic solvent nanofiltration (OSN) has been a prevalent research topic for the separation and purification of organic solvent systems since the beginning of this century with the benefits of no-phase change, high operational flexibility, low cost, as well as environmental friendliness. Especially, hollow fiber (HF) OSN membranes have gained a lot of attention due to their high packing density and easy scale-up as compared with flat-sheet OSN membranes. This paper critically reviewed the recent research progress in the preparation of HF OSN membranes with high performance, including different materials, preparation methods, and modification treatments. This paper also predicts the future direction of HF OSN membrane development.

Abstract:
Connectivity is one of the most important parameters in network monitoring. The connectivity model of Opportunistic Sensor Networks (OSN) can hardly be established by traditional graph models due to the fact that its connectivity is timing correlative and evolutionary, which makes it extremely difficult to monitor an OSN. In order to solve the monitoring problem, this paper builds an evolving graph model based on the theory of evolving graph as a description of an OSN. It defines a series of parameters to measure the connectivity of the OSN and establishes an monitoring model. Meanwhile, this paper gives the key algorithms in building the model, the Evolving-Graph-Modeling (EGM) algorithm and the Connected-Journey (CJ) algorithm. The rationality of the monitoring model has been proven by a prototype system and the simulation results. Extensive simulation results show that the proposed connectivity monitoring model can indicate real circumstances of OSN? connectivity, and it is applicable to monitoring an opportunistic sensor network.

Abstract:
Purpose – The purpose of this study is to reveal the role of individual–social–technology fit in online social network (OSN) value development. The social software features (e.g. communication and interaction), social features (e.g. privacy and trust) and individual features (e.g. sense of belonging and self-disclosure) are considered fitting forms to describe the OSN value. Implications and suggestions are addressed. Design/methodology/approach – The literature review on social software, the social and individual characteristics and the research gap with respect to OSN value is presented. The research arguments are then hypothesized, and research model used to describe the proposed role is examined empirically. The research targeted mobile phone users as the subjects, and the extent of the activities of these users on OSN for both work and studies. A salient investigation explores the moderation effect of gender. The research results are obtained, and the findings are revealed on the basis of 468 social software users. Findings – The significant effect of individual–social–technology fit on OSN value development is presented through the satisfaction of both participation and sharing information, and knowledge about this fit is verified. The interplay of social software, social and individual features contributes significantly to individual–social–technology fit development, implying that OSN value development is not a single issue. OSN value development should be considered concurrently with technological, personal and social issues. Research limitations/implications – The empirical study confirms that fitness analysis produces a systematic outcome, in which all elements (e.g. social, technology and individual) are required to cooperate with one another to maximize the OSN value. An individual adopts online channels to communicate with others; thus, the benefits may be a multidimensional issue instead of only a single information service issue. They also consider building an equal social relationship to be important, as it enables diverse propositions, maintains acceptable privacy and behaves on faith to enhance the fit of technology features and individual features to value development. The subjects also likely accepted the fact that emotion generation is important for the advantage of fit of technology features and social features, thereby likely benefitting OSN value development. Originality/value – The OSN does not only add new values to the society but also brings new effects on social development, especially in terms of social cognition from virtual community formation, development and creation. Although existing studies in the literature present the important aspects and antecedents linked significantly to OSN value development, these studies also insufficiently discuss the effect of fit of these facets on OSN value development. This exploratory study mainly aims to propose and examine the individual–social–technology fit model through an empirical investigation. The main argument of the study is that when a positive and healthy virtual society is developed through social software, the individual and social characteristics, as well as the social software features, should be defined with a suitable fit to promote the social networking value.

Abstract:
In the recent era, new information technologies have a significant impact on social networks. Initial integration of information and communication technologies (ICT) into city operations has promoted information city, ease of communication and principles of smart communities. Subsequently, the idea of the Internet of Things (IoT) with the specific focus of social IoT (SIoT) has contributed towards the smart cities (SC), which support the city operations with minimal human interaction. The user-generated data obtained by SIoT can be exploited to produce new useful information for creating citizen-centered smart services for SC. The aim of this research is twofold. Firstly, we used the concept of local and global trust to provide new services in SC based on popular online social networks (OSN) data used by the citizens. Secondly, the sustainability of the three different OSN is assessed. This paper investigates the social network domain with regard to the SC. Although in SC, OSN are increasing day by day, there is still an unresolved issue of trust among their users and also OSN are not much sustainable. In this research, we are analyzing the sustainability of different OSN for the SC. We employ datasets of three different social networks for our analyses. A local trust model is used to identify the central user within the local cluster while the global trust-based framework is used to identify the opinion leaders. Our analysis based on the datasets of Facebook, Twitter, and Slashdot unveil that filtration of these central-local users and opinion leaders result in the dispersion and significant reduction in a network. A novel model is being developed that outlines the relationship between local and global trust for the protection of OSN users in SC. Furthermore, the proposed mechanism uses the data posted by citizens on OSN to propose new services by mitigating the effect of untrusted users.

Abstract:
Environmental contaminations can sometimes be difficult to measure, particularly in complex matrices such as seawater. This is the case of organotin compounds (OSn) such as the monobutyltin (MBT), dibutyltin (DBT), and tributyltin (TBT), whose range of polarity is wide. These compounds, mostly coming from antifouling paints used on ship shell, can be found in water and sediments where they are stable and can persist for years. Passive sampling is gaining in interest to offer solutions to monitor these kinds of compounds even in low concentrations. However, due to the diversity of pollutants present in the environment nowadays, it is important to propose solutions that allow a specific sampling. This work aims to highlight the usability of molecularly imprinted polymers (MIPs) in passive sampling for the monitoring of OSn. MIPs were synthetized using three synthesis ways (bulk, suspension, and mini-emulsion processes) and kinetics were realized in order to estimate the retention of OSn by the solid MIP phase. Results highlighted a good retention of OSn with mean retention kinetic constants near 10−5, 10−6 and 10−7 L·ng·s−1 for DBT, TBT and MBT respectively. The synthesis mode showed no impact on retention kinetics, therefore, bulk synthesis is recommended because of its simplicity. If the elimination of OSn from MIPs is to be optimized, the retention of OSn on MIPs has been demonstrated, and is very promising for their use in specific passive samplers.

Abstract:
Introduction Currently, no systematic review/meta-analysis has examined studies that used online social networks (OSN) as a primary intervention platform. Therefore, the purpose of this review was to evaluate the effectiveness of weight management interventions delivered through OSN. Methods PubMed, EMBASE, PsycINFO, Web of Science, and Scopus were searched (January 1990–November 2015) for studies with data on the effect of OSNs on weight loss. Only primary source articles that utilized OSN as the main platform for delivery of weight management/healthy lifestyle interventions, were published in English language peer-reviewed journals, and reported outcome data on weight were eligible for inclusion in this systematic review. Five articles were included in this review. Results One-hundred percent of the studies ( n = 5) reported a reduction in baseline weight. Three of the five studies (60%) reported significant decreases in body weight when OSN was paired with health educator support. Only one study reported a clinical significant weight loss of ≥5%. Conclusion Using OSN for weight management is in its early stages of development and, while these few studies show promise, more research is needed to acquire information about optimizing these interventions to increase their efficacy.

Ash2l recruits Oct4/Sox2/Nanog (OSN) to form Ash2l/OSN complex at the super-enhancers of Jarid2, Nanog, Sox2 and Oct4, and further drives enhancer activation, upregulation of stemness genes, and maintains the pluripotent circuitry. Ash2l knockdown abrogates the OSN recruitment to all super-enhancers and further hinders the enhancer activation. In addition, CRISPRi/dCas9-mediated blocking of Ash2l-binding motifs at these super-enhancers also prevents OSN recruitment and enhancer activation, validating that Ash2l directly binds to super-enhancers and initiates the pluripotency network. Transfection of Ash2l with W118A mutation to disrupt Ash2l–Oct4 interaction fails to rescue Ash2l-driven enhancer activation and pluripotent gene upregulation in Ash2l-depleted pluripotent stem cells. Together, our data demonstrated Ash2l formed an enhancer-bound Ash2l/OSN complex that can drive enhancer activation, govern pluripotency network and stemness circuitry.

Abstract:
Online social networking (OSN) is an activity performed through social network sites (SNS) such as Facebook, Twitter, WhatsApp, and Instagram. OSN has become a dominant interaction mechanism within contemporary society. Online platforms are woven inextricably into the fabric of individuals’ everyday lives, especially those of young adults. We present a mixed-methods study—conducted at the University of the Free State in Bloemfontein—that analyzes how students reflect on their everyday experiences of OSN. The key theoretical frameworks guiding this research are phenomenology, existentialism, and reflexive sociology. These theoretical lenses collectively assist in broadening our understanding of the students’ experiences that reveal the complexities associated with their interactions and social relations via SNS. From their narratives we learn how the students make sense of their engagements on SNS, how these engagements have an impact on their social interactions, and how OSN affects their self-presentation.

Abstract:
Hollow fiber (HF) organic solvent nanofiltration (OSN) membranes have recently attracted significant interest in the field of membrane technology. Their popularity stems from comparative advantages, such as high packing density, fouling resistance, and easier scalability for larger applications, unlike flat-sheet/spiral-wound OSN membranes, which may present challenges in these aspects. The combination of interfacial polymerization (IP) and HF configuration has opened up new opportunities for developing advanced membranes with enhanced separation performance that can be tailored for various OSN applications. The objective of this review is to discuss the latest advancements in developing thin film composite (TFC) HF membranes, with a focus on the IP method. Novel materials and processes are discussed in detail, emphasizing the fabrication of greener, interfacially polymerized HF OSN membranes. In addition, the commercial viability and limitations of TFC HF membranes are highlighted, providing perspectives on future research directions.

Abstract:
Today some of the most popular and successful applications over the Internet are based on Peer-to-Peer (P2P) solutions. Online Social Networks (OSN) represent a stunning phenomenon too, involving communities of unprecedented size, whose members organize their relationships on the basis of social or professional friendship. This work deals with a P2P video streaming platform and focuses on the performance improvements that can be granted to those P2P nodes that are also members of a social network. The underpinning idea is that OSN friends (and friends of friends) might be more willing to help their mates than complete strangers in fetching the desired content within the P2P overlay. Hence, an approach is devised to guarantee that P2P users belonging to an OSN are guaranteed a better service when critical conditions build up, i.e., when bandwidth availability is scarce. Different help strategies are proposed, and their improvements are numerically assessed, showing that the help of direct friends, two-hops away friends and, in the limit, of the entire OSN community brings in considerable advantages. The obtained results demonstrate that the amount of delivered video increases and the delay notably decreases, for those privileged peers that leverage their OSN membership within the P2P overlay.

Abstract:
Online social networks (OSNs) are playing crucial role in digital world today. OSNs are web applications that allow users to share their personal information, digital images and videos, and to inform others about online or real time world activities and events with people in their network. OSN’s are decentralized and distributed computer networks where users communicate with their friends and relatives through Internet services. The Smartphone has increase the situation for hacker’s to attacks end user data from OSNs. Behaviors of OSN users has been monitored for data analytics[1]. In this paper, we represent full review of the applications, different security level threats and privacy issues, which threaten the well-being of OSN users in general, and children in particular. In addition, we present an overview of existing solutions that can provide better protection, security, and privacy for OSN users[2]. We also offer few recommendations for OSN users, which can improve their security and privacy when using the online social networks.

Abstract:
Online Social Networks (OSNs) are very popular platforms for social interaction. Data posted publicly over OSNs pose various threats against the individual privacy of OSN users. Adversaries can try to predict private attribute values, such as gender, as well as links/connections. Quantifying an adversary’s capacity in inferring the gender of an OSN user is an important first step towards privacy protection. Numerous studies have been made on the problem of predicting the gender of an author/user, especially in the context of the English language. Conversely, studies in this field are quite limited for the Turkish language and specifically in the domain of OSNs. Previous studies for gender prediction of Turkish OSN users have mostly been performed by using the content of tweets and Facebook comments. In this article, we propose using various features, not just user comments, for the gender prediction problem over the Facebook OSN. Unlike existing studies, we exploited features extracted from profile, wall content, and network structure, as well as wall interactions of the user. Therefore, our study differs from the existing work in the broadness of the features considered, machine learning and deep learning methods applied, and the size of the OSN dataset used in the experimental evaluation. Our results indicate that basic profile information provides better results; moreover, using this information together with wall interactions improves prediction quality. We measured the best accuracy value as 0.982, which was obtained by combining profile data and wall interactions of Turkish OSN users. In the wall interactions model, we introduced 34 different features that provide better results than the existing content-based studies for Turkish.

Abstract:

Abstract:
The role of the teacher is not only teaching but also training other academic skills such as solving OSN questions. It would be a shame if the teacher could not guide students in solving OSN questions. According to DKI Jakarta Elementary and Elementary Education data, there has not yet been a Muhammadiyah school that has won OSN, both at the Kotip level, let alone at the provincial and national levels. This Community Service activity aims to increase the competence of Muhammadiyah Middle School Mathematics Teachers under the auspices of the Jakarta PWM Elementary Education Council to guide students in solving OSN questions. The training activities include: (1) the prites stage; (2) the difficulty analysis stage; (3) the stage of giving tricks; and (4) the percentage stage. This activity has been carried out and received good enthusiasm from partners. Partners in this case are Mathematics teachers at Muhammadiyah Middle Schools throughout DKI. It is proven that there was an increase in the teacher's ability to work on OSN questions that occurred in this training. This can be seen from the more participants who were able to do the Posttest questions correctly after being given training by UHAMKA Mathematics Education lecturers. The seriousness of the participants in this training was evident from the collection of video presentations that were sent by the participants as many as 5 videos a day.
