Resumo: O sucesso dos sistemas modernos de implantes dentais tem sido relacionado ao desenvolvimento do design e das características de superfícies dos implantes. O propósito do presente estudo foi avaliar duas novas superfícies de implantes (modificada por laser - SML e recoberta por hidroxiapatita biomimética - HA), comparando-as a outros dois implantes comerciais, (superfície usinada - SU e modificada por jateamento e ataque ácido - SMC).
