ANALISIS KOMPOSISI NUKLIDA BAHAN BAKAR BEKAS REAKTOR DAYA EKSPERIMENTAL (RDE) MENGGUNAKAN MCNPX 2.6.0. Reaktor Daya Eksperimental (RDE) adalah reaktor nuklir yang dapat digunakan untuk pembangkit listrik, pembangkit panas dan untuk memproduksi hidrogen. Jenis bahan bakar RDE yang dibahas pada penelitian ini adalah sebuah pebble bergeometri bola yang di dalamnya terdapat 8335 TRISO berkisi simple cubic (SC). Satu buah TRISO dalam pebble mengandung 5 lapisan, dimana bahan fissile terdapat pada kernel yang merupakan lapisan paling dalam dengan kandungan UO2. Proses burnup pada MCNPX 2.6.0 dilakukan selama 90 hari pembakaran dan 10 tahun pendinginan dengan hasil energi burnup dan keff 1,05343 untuk autofilled TRISO in pebble (ATIP) dan 1,04651 untuk organized TRISO in pebble (OTIP). Jumlah nuklida yang terkandung sebanyak 170 nuklida (14 aktinida dan 156 nonaktinida). Aktinida dengan massa terbesar ialah 238U (2,323 gram untuk ATIP dan 2,316 untuk OTIP) dan aktivitas terbesar ialah 241Pu (7,791 Ci untuk ATIP dan 7,639 Ci untuk OTIP), sedangkan nonaktinida dengan massa terbesar ialah 16O (0,6734 gram untuk ATIP dan OTIP) dan aktivitas terbesar ialah 137Cs (4,716 Ci for ATIP untuk 4,757 Ci untuk OTIP). Kesalahan relatif keff ATIP terhadap OTIP yang diperoleh sebesar 0,661%. Kesalahan relatif yang kecil ini serta geometri kompleks OTIP yang membutuhkan waktu lama untuk didesain menyebabkan ATIP lebih direkomendasi daripada OTIP.Kata kunci : Komposisi Nuklida, Pebble, Bahan Bakar Bekas, RDE, MCNPX 2.6.0.

Abstract:
The aim of this study is to determine the opinions of the mothers of children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), which can interact with their children. Phenomenology design, a qualitative research model was used in the study. Research data were collected by obtaining information regarding demographic aspects and by using a 15-item semi-structured interview form designed to identify views of mothers with children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) on their communication styles with their children. 9 mothers with children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) between the ages of 4-6 participated in the study. The data were analyzed using the content analysis method. Findings of this study showed that children with Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD) expressed gestures, facial expressions, pointing and verbally but they have difficulty expressing themselves. Additionally found that ıf they aren’t express themselves, exhibit problem behaviors. Mothers who have children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), prefer to verbal communication but they have difficulty. Also they organized their communicative behaviors according to the characteristics of their children. The data obtained from the survey results were discussed based on the literature.Extended English abstract is in the end of PDF (TURKISH) file. ÖzetBu araştırmanın amacı, annelerin Otizm Spektrum Bozukluğu (OSB) olan çocukları ile kurdukları iletişim biçimlerine ilişkin görüşlerini belirlemektir. Araştırmada nitel araştırma yöntemlerinden olgubilim desenine yer verilmiştir. Araştırma verileri; demografik bilgiler ve annelerin Otizm Spektrum Bozukluğu (OSB) olan çocukları ile iletişim biçimlerine ilişkin görüşlerini belirlemeye yönelik 15 sorudan oluşan yarı yapılandırılmış görüşme formu kullanılarak toplanmıştır. Elde edilen veriler içerik analizi ile analiz edilmiştir. Araştırmanın çalışma grubunu, 4-6 yaş arasında Otizm Spektrum Bozukluğu (OSB) olan çocuğa sahip 9 anne oluşturmaktadır. Araştırma sonucunda, Otizm Spektrum Bozukluğu (OSB) olan çocukların kendilerini jest, mimik ve sözel olarak ifade ettikleri ve kendilerini ifade ederken zorlandıkları, ifade edemedikleri durumlarda çeşitli problem davranışlar sergiledikleri bulgulanmıştır. Annelerin ise Otizm Spektrum Bozukluğu (OSB) olan çocukları ile iletişim kurarken sözel ifadeler tercih ettikleri, çocukları ile iletişim kurarken çeşitli güçlükler yaşadıkları, kendi iletişimsel davranışlarını çocuklarının özelliklerine göre düzenledikleri ve çoğunlukla ev ortamında iletişim kurmayı tercih ettikleri bulgulanmıştır.

Abstract:
Focusing on the representation of leisure or otium, the article discusses recent South Asian fiction and its idealization of states of otiose leisure that existed in the past and are now nostalgically dwelled on in contrast to current conditions of stress exacerbated by global capitalism. After explaining the origin of this approach to South Asian fiction in an interdisciplinary research cluster on otium, the main thesis of the article is laid out. An example text, Sunetra Gupta’s A Sin of Colour, is used to illustrate the various aspects of nostalgic leisure. The article also discusses narrative strategies that enhance a readerly experience of retardation and concentration.

O artigo examina a maneira particular como Montaigne se posiciona em defesa do otium no âmbito do debate clássico vivificado pelos humanistas da Renascença sobre otium e negotium, ou entre vida contemplativa e vida ativa, através da leitura de dois capítulos, que, embora distanciados no tempo, mantêm relações vivas e instigantes entre si: De la Solitude, do primeiro livro dos Essais e De ménager sa volonté, do terceiro. Na articulação entre os dois textos pretende-se mostrar como o ethos próprio à vida retirada que Montaigne constitui para si via apropriação das lições de Sêneca termina por superar a dicotomia tradicional servindo à afirmação de uma outra noção de prudentia e de “bem agir” na vida pública que tem seu nexo fundamental não na ambição de glória mas na posse de si ou na adequação interior à própria natureza.

Abstract:
Chronic Heart Failure (CHF) is known to have a substantial impact on activities of daily living (ADL) and symptoms such as breathlessness and fatigue are characteristic. Despite this, research in occupational therapy concerning people with CHF is rare. The overall aim of this thesis was to increase the knowledge of ADL ability and fatigue among those with CHF, to describe experiences of limitations in occupational performance and the strategies that these elderly people use to manage their daily activities and also to describe a programme including energy conservation for clients with CHF in primary healthcare. Method Three groups of older people with a verified diagnosis of CHF and one group of occupational therapists (OTs), all recruited from primary healthcare, were analyzed. The ADL ability of 40 participants was described, with reference to dependence on others, perceived strain and quality of occupational performance. The association between ADL ability and the New York Heart Association Classification (NYHA), a functional classification for people with CHF, was analyzed. Fatigue and its association to ADL ability, use of assistive devices and community support were also analyzed. Ten respondents were then interviewed and asked to describe the strategies they used to manage ADL. The interview results were combined with the current body of research and CHF guidelines to form a base for the development of an intervention programme, including energy conservation, for people with CHF. The programme, based on the Occupational Therapy Intervention Process Model (OTIPM), was used by OTs in primary healthcare, and the clients’ ADL, goal achievements and use of energy conservation strategies were described, as well as the five clients’ and two OTs’ experiences of the program. Results Most participants were independent in personal ADL activities (PADL). A majority was dependent in one or more instrumental ADL activities (IADL) and perceived strain when performing the activities independently. The Assessment of Motor and Process Skills (AMPS) showed a reduced quality of occupational performance compared with healthy people of the same age. Age had a significant impact on ADL performance. Despite this, participants in NYHA III/IV showed significantly increased effort (under motor cutoff) when performing ADL tasks compared with those in NYHA I/II. Fatigue was common and greater fatigue was associated significant with increased dependence and decreased quality of occupational performance, with the exception of shopping. Participants who used assistive devices and home care estimated higher physical fatigue, but no correlation was found with community mobility services. Comorbidities, which can affect occupational performance, were common in all the studies. The participants experiences of limitations in occupational performance and the strategies that they used to manage their daily activities were described as redefining an active life, aware of one’s impaired body and planning activities and balancing the degree of effort. During the interventions according to the programme the clients’ increased their participation and independence in daily activities, consciously gave up what were less meaningful activities for them and deteriorated because of the progression of the CHF. Most goals were achieved and many energy conservation strategies were used by the clients. The clients’ experiences were described as working in collaboration to manage daily activities and using professional support from OTs to enhance their activities. The OTs’ experiences of the programme were described as being supported with specific knowledge and a structured way of working and finding clinical benefits from working according to the program, but doubt the possibilitiy of using it, due to constraints in clinical practice. Discussion The participants' physical fatigue and breathlessness had a negative impact on their ADL-ability. Age affected ADL performance, but the impact of a more severe CHF remained adjusted for age. An ongoing process of occupational adaptation due to periodical physical decline and fluctuating day-to-day ability was described. Many of the strategies used by the participants to handle daily activities could be described as energy conservation strategies, an indication that occupational therapy interventions including energy conservation management would be beneficial for clients with CHF. Both the OTs and the clients described that the specialized programme provided structure for the OTs’ work, knowledge about CHF and about valuable energy conservation strategies. The programme seemed to support the OTs to work in a more comprehensive client-centered way. Conclusion The work with this thesis has increased the limited existing knowledge about elderly people with CHF and their ADL ability, fatigue and the adaptation of occupational performance that they use to manage their daily activities. The experiences indicated that a specialized programme including energy conservation for occupational therapy in primary healthcare seemed to support the OTs work in a more comprehensive client-centered way. The programme needs to be further evaluated.

Abstract:
This thesis studies the literary genre of pastoral between 1559 and 1647. The first of these dates is that of a work that changed the course of early modern pastoral, Montemayor’s Diana; and the second marks the English translation of Gomberville’s Polexandre, a pastoral romance which exemplifies the shifts in cultural values that re-shaped Montemayor’s model over the century that followed its publication. My study focusses on the significance for this genre of the ethical quality known to classical moral philosophy as otium, and translated in early modern English by words such as peace, leisure, retirement, ease and idleness. Otium has strong historical associations with the tradition of Virgilian pastoral. Its significance in early modern pastorals, however, has been largely overlooked, despite the fact that early modern interest in otium had been revitalised by the rediscovery of some of its most important classical discussions. This renewed interest in otium, I argue, was essential to the development of early modern pastoral. My argument challenges both old and new critical perspectives on pastoral, and engages with key issues in early modern culture which literary scholars have neglected. Older studies understood pastoral otium simply as idyllic retreat; newer ones accept this view, but argue against its privileged and quietist political implications, preferring to concentrate on the tradition of interpreting pastoral as political allegory. Otium’s principal connotations, however, were neither quiet nor idyllic. Though its restorative qualities were sometimes cautiously acknowledged, otium’s potential to corrupt was ever-present, and affected a range of areas including privacy, politics, moral psychology and medicine. When people wanted to imaginatively explore those effects, I argue, pastoral was the genre to which they were most likely to turn. Listening to what pastorals say about otium can play an important role in reconstructing this crucial and misunderstood aspect of early modern culture.

En depit de l'epaisseur de la bibliographie sur L'Utopie de Thomas More, touchant a toutes les disciplines, de l'analyse literaire a l'analyse religieuse, en passant par, l'analyse politique, le texte reste enigmatique; les lecteurs les plus rigoureuses ont echoue a rendre compte de maniere exhaustive d'une pensee en apparence incoherente, renforcant, ce faisant, la croyance en une pensee "renaissant", bouillonnante et brouillonne, incapable de formuler des theses autour d'une theorie rationnel le et consistante. Parmi les entreprises les plus interessantes, citons les recherches d'Andre Prevost qui a fait apparai tre une partie de la structure hypothetico-deductive de L'Utopie; George Logan qui a mis en valeur la critique originale morienne de l'ideal politique grec et Quentin Skinner qui a demontre l'originalite d'une oeuvre inaugurant la pensee theorique politique moderne. Mais aucun de ces auteurs n'est alle jusqu'a conclure que L'Utopie exprime une philosophie a part entiere, acceptant l'hypothese qu'il s'agit d'un texte charniere entre la pensee medievale et la pensee moderne. L'enigme viendrait de la confusion due a cette dualite d'appartenance. La presente these veut demontrer que la confusion tient au lacunes des lectures du texte; que nous nous trouvons en fait devant un texte philosophique d'une haute coherence qui redefinit de maniere originale et inedite les rapports du champ de conscience et du monde; que cette revolution s'est operee en prenant appui, d'une part sur les espaces epistemologiques prepares par le debat sur le negotium et l'otium et, d'autre part, sur une synthese originale de la philosophie d'Epicure et du dogme chretien; que Thomas More a cree, ce faisant, de nouveaux outils epistemologiques, utilisant un raisonnement hypothetico-deductif sans faille; que les procedes rhetoriques, notamment la litote et la metaphore font partie de la demonstration; enfin, que la dissolution de l'ontologie fixiste au profit d'une logique du movement fonde directement l'utilitarisme moderne passant outre le "je" universel cartesien. Nous avons donc reconstitue le processus du discours de la L'Utopie en decrivant tout d'abord l'interaction de ses conditions d'intelligibilite, des demandes pratiques et des experimentations epistemologiques de la Renaissance. Nous avons effectue ensuite une analyse serree du texte afin d'en degager les contenus auxquels nous avons donne sens en devoilant la logique "cachee" de L'Utopie. Cette recherche devrait permettre de developper une theorie de la modernite a partir d'une relecture de la Renaissance. Elle devrait conduire egalement a une lecture comparative renouvelee de L'Utopie et des oeuvres de Machiavel, Bodin, Hobbes et Descarte.

Titus Pomponius Atticus fut l'un des personnages les plus controversés du dernier siècle de la République romaine. Son nom s'inscrivit dans la postérité grâce à la relation d'amicitia qu'il partagea toute sa vie avec le grand orateur Cicéron. Ami des plus hauts dignitaires de son temps, quelles que soient leurs tendances politiques, il se constitua un réseau de relations amicales, qui lui permit de préserver « sa tranquillité » dans un monde marqué par le sceau de guerres civiles impitoyables. Pratiquant un épicurisme modéré, ce romain s'adonna aux plaisirs de l'otium, et tenta d'opérer une symbiose entre les impératifs de sa « condition » et les « exigences » de sa morale. En tant que financier de l'aristocratie, informateur, conseiller politique et libraire-éditeur, cet homme, tel un caméléon, possédait de nombreux talents, qui lui attirèrent la faveur et l'estime de « tous » ses contemporains. Dans un contexte politique aussi troublé et dangereux que celui du premier siècle de la République, menacé à plusieurs reprises, il est ressorti grandi durant chacune de ces guerres qui auraient dû le perdre. En effet, pendant que ses proches étaient précipités dans le malheur, chaque changement de régime consolidait sa position et sa fortune. Véritable exemple de sociabilité, il a joui d'un indéniable pouvoir d'action politique par le biais de ses amitiés. Là où certains se sont obstinés à vouloir changer seulement le présent, il fit preuve d'une habileté et d'une ingéniosité hors du commun. Tel un visionnaire en avance sur son temps, il se contenta d'observer, d'analyser, d'entrevoir l'avenir et de mener, à l'abri des regards indiscrets, une « politique d'action » capable de faire face à la Révolution qui donnerait naissance à l'empire romain. Bien qu'acteur et témoin privilégiés de la destinée de Rome, il afficha une farouche volonté de se maintenir dans l'ombre du pouvoir. Conscient des réalités de son temps et désireux de « rester libre », il était déterminé à « vivre » et à « survivre » selon ses aspirations, à une époque où cela semblait impossible. Cet « homme de l'ombre », même s'il protège encore aujourd'hui le mystère autour de sa personne, se présente comme l'archétype du romain, ayant réussi le parfait syncrétisme entre le « politique » et le « sage », en devenant un des exemples les plus significatifs de la réussite romaine
Titus Pomponius Atticus was one of the most controversial characters during the last century of the Roman Republic. His name went down in History thanks to his lifelong amicitia, his friendship, with famous roman orator: Cicero. Friend with the highest dignitaries of his time, regardless of their political affiliations, he succeeded in constituting a network of friendly relations which allowed him to preserve his “tranquility”, in a time marked by many ruthless civil wars. Practicing a moderate form of Epicureanism, this Roman man devoted himself to the pleasures of Otium while attempting to make a symbiosis between the duties of his “condition,” and the “demands” of his morality. As a aristocratic financier, an informant, a political adviser, a bookseller and a publisher, this man, like a chameleon, possessed many talents which attracted the favor and esteem of « all » of his contemporaries. In a political context as troubled and dangerous as the First century of the Republic, threatened many times, Atticus managed to come out of each of these wars with an increase stature. Indeed, during that time, while his closest relatives were struck by misfortune with each regime change, Atticus' position and fortune grew stronger and bigger. As a true example of sociability, he enjoyed a real political power through his friendships. Where some insisted on changing only the present, Atticus showed great ability and ingenuity. Like a visionary ahead of this time, he chose to observe, analyze, foresee the future, and to lead a « political action » capable of dealing with the revolution that will give birth to the Roman Empire. Although a privileged actor and witness of the roman fate, he displayed a fierce desire to remain behind the scenes. He was aware of the realities of his time and was eager to « remain free ». He was also determined to “live” and “survive” according to his desires, at a time when this seemed impossible. This « man of the shadows », who until now still remains a mystery for most of us, appears like the perfect roman archetype, having succeeded in creating the ideal fusion between the “ politic” and the “sage”, and in becoming one of the finest and most significant examples of Roman accomplishment

Abstract:
Par un panorama couvrant les années 155 (date de l'ambassade de Carnéade qui représenta pour les Romains un véritable choc culturel) à 43 av. J. -C. (date de la mort de Cicéron), nous avons brossé le tableau des évolutions qu'ont connues durant cette période la statut, ou plutôt, les statuts successifs ou concomitants de l'écrivain, la hiérarchisation des genres et des oeuvres, la nature et l'extension du lectorat qu'il faut voir plus comme un co-auteur ou un co-acteur de l'oeuvre que comme un public passif moderne, purement récepteur. En adoptant un plan diachronique, nous metons en valeur combien les évènements historiques et les mutations sociologiques ont influencé le rapport à l'écrit des auteurs et des lecteurs, l'évolution des genres (historiographie, éloquence, poésie dramatique et non-dramatique, littérature technique) et la manière dont Rome pensait son autonomie littéraire par rapport à la culture grecque. Notre étude s'interroge à la fois sur les structures mentales que requiert l'acte d'écrire, sur l'écrit comme instrument de communication, voire d'action, sur la place dévolue à la création littéraire dans les "negotia" du Romain, sur les ressources de l'écrit, qu'il s'agisse de passer de l'oralité d'une parole artistique à sa littérarité ou de perfectionner un texte oral en vue d'une publication méliorative. Notre thèse propose de démontrer et d'expliquer comment Rome est passée d'une société largement orale à une société où l'on a eu, comme le dit Horace, la "fureur d'écrire", comment les Romains ont abandonné un certain dédain à l'égard de l'écrivain pour admettre une véritable gloire littéraire. Ainsi le résultat de cette "révolution culturelle" est que l'écrivain, au moins l"auctor" plus que le "sciptor", se hisse à la fin de l'époque cicéronienne presque au même rang que le magistrat et le chef de l'armée.

Abstract:
La lutte contre la pauvreté est une difficulté grandissante en raison notamment de son caractère multidimensionnel, et du fait qu’elle intègre la prise en compte d’autres aspects tels que la lutte contre les inégalités. En suivant le cheminement de l’enseignement social de l’Église tel qu’il s’exprime dans les textes pontificaux, de Léon XIII à Jean-Paul II, nous nous posons la question de savoir en quoi cet enseignement social peut nous éclairer et nous stimuler aujourd’hui, compte tenu de ses qualités et de ses défauts, de ses apports et de ses limites. Mais la pauvreté est aussi un thème de la science économique : tout en s’appuyant essentiellement sur la théologie, cette thèse s’inspire donc aussi de ce domaine. Il n’est en effet pas question pour nous d’opposer science économique et enseignement social de l’Église, mais au contraire de faire entendre la voix de l’Église comme système de réflexion. Nous montrerons dans un premier temps, que, à la croisée de la philosophie, de l’économie et de la politique, l’éthique ouvre la voie à la conscience humaine, à la liberté et à la sérénité, mais qu’elle ne peut être dissociée de l’action, sans laquelle elle ne peut porter ses fruits. Puis il s’agit pour nous d’évaluer le niveau éthique des politiques économiques et sociales, notamment en Europe occidentale avant de détailler l’apport de l’enseignement social et de sa réflexion théologique dans la lutte contre la pauvreté
The fight against poverty is a growing problem in particular because of its multidimensional nature and the fact that it integrates the consideration other aspects such as the fight against inequality. By following the path of the social teaching of the Church as expressed in the pontifical texts, from Leo XIII to John Paul II, we ask ourselves the question of how this social teaching can inform us and stimulate us today, considering its qualities and defects, its contributions and limitations. But poverty is also a theme of economics: while relying primarily on theology, this thesis is inspired also in the field. There is indeed no question for us to oppose economics and social teaching of the Church, but rather to make the voice of the Church as reflection system. We will show in the first place, that, at the crossroads of philosophy, economics and politics, ethics opens the way to human consciousness, freedom and serenity, but it can not be separated from the action, without which it can not bear fruit. Then it is for us to assess the ethical level of economic and social policies, particularly in Western Europe before detailing the contribution of the social teaching and its theological reflection in the fight against poverty

This chapter uses four full-scale works to demonstrate how a posture of “retreat” could, paradoxically, prove effective as a means of engagement with public, even political, affairs. The first two are works on reason of state; the second two are works of fiction, two of the “best-sellers” of the day. The discussion shows how both discursively and in terms of the content, these works create a distance between the authors and their texts and the “world,” but they nevertheless embody very effective ways of entering it. This chapter recapitulates and illustrates many of the themes running through Dignified Retreat.

This chapter examines Cicero’s struggles with Roman anxieties about philosophy and situates them within a broader contemporary discourse that tries to expand the field of acceptable activity to include the intellectual. The discussion draws on the prefaces to Sallust’s Bellum Catilinae and Bellum Iugurthinum and the preface to the anonymous Rhetorica ad Herennium, along with the criticisms that Cicero claims are leveled against his project. The chapter presents a broader picture of the resistance to intellectual activity that characterized the Roman elite and that Cicero was trying to anticipate. It also considers Cicero’s engagement with a quotation from Ennius that advocates a limited involvement with philosophy, as well as the issue of the mos maiorum and philosophy’s relationship to tradition, which is central to Cicero’s self-presentation.
