Abstract:
The explosion of an explosive system causes primary and secondary effects on people and objects near its site. The most devastating is the pressure effect of the explosion, especially the overpressure. Individual parameters of pressure wave (overpressure size, duration impulse) can be determined by mathematical or virtual modeling or can also be measured under real conditions. The authors focused on the parameters of the positive phase of the shock wave propagating from the source of the explosion towards the object. The article covers the description and analysis of selected mathematical relations, which are used to determine the magnitude of the explosion overpressure. The results are based on selected formulas. The source of the explosion referred in the study is an explosive system containing a reference explosive trinitrotoluene (TNT). TNT is a military explosive that is used as a reference explosive in technical standards dedicated to the certification of explosion-proof elements, and at the same time, a TNT equivalent is known to allow the mass of an explosive charge to be recalculated. The results obtained by mathematical modeling according to individual approaches have been compared and the possibilities of using computational models in the area of security management and education of security managers have been identified. The results of the study confirm that prediction of pressure wave parameters at different distances and weights can assist security managers in creating attack scenarios and designing a suitable object protection system.

Abstract:
Proper organization of storage of raw sugar products allows for a long time to maintain product quality and minimize loss of its mass. Difficulties are associated with the high content of free water in them. We have studied the effect of ozone treatment on long-term storage of raw sugar products, including sugar beets. Sugar beet samples were taken from the Koksu sugar factory in the village of Balpyk bi, Almaty region of the Republic of Kazakhstan. The plans for full-factor experiments of the type — 23 out of eight prototypes — were drawn up and each of them was processed with different combinations (max and min) of the following factors: x1 - ozone concentration (g/m3), x2 - processing time (min), x3 - overpressure (ati) (the pressure value can be counted from 0 (absolute pressure) or from atmospheric (overpressure). If the pressure is measured in technical atmospheres, then absolute pressure is denoted as ata, and excess pressure is denoted as ati). Physicobiochemical, microbiological properties, and safety indicators were determined for each sample of sugar beet: mass fraction of moisture, dry matter, acidity, pectin, fiber, sucrose, nitrite, heavy metals, pesticides, mycotoxins, the presence of mold and yeast. As a result of the study, it was found that ozone treatment significantly reduces the growth of mold and yeast, contributes to an increase in the content of pectin, fiber and sucrose, and a safety risk assessment of raw sugar products was scientifically provided.

Abstract:
Using Markov chain Monte Carlo (MCMC) random sampling, a Gaussian mixture model (GMM) of the overpressure of a blast shock wave based on parameter optimization of an expectation-maximization (EM) algorithm is proposed to improve the accuracy of sampling. The probability of an explosion caused by gas accumulation under different conditions is obtained from statistics of gas explosion accidents. The explosion equivalent and shock wave overpressure are estimated by using field gas data. The data sets of different types of gas explosions and their corresponding density distribution functions are established. The EM algorithm is used for iterative calculation, and the optimal distribution of each gas explosion data set is obtained. The parameters are built according to a posteriori optimization. A state transition matrix is used to achieve numerical inversion of the overpressure of an MCMC gas explosion shock wave. The inversion results are based on the actual conditions of the mine. On the premise of improving the accuracy of the random simulation, the overpressure value of shock wave is more in line with the law of disaster change, which provides theoretical support for safety protection during a disaster.

Abstract:
Abstract The expansion of education in the later nineteenth century led to concerns that ‘educational overpressure’ was damaging the health of children. Overpressure was an ill-defined condition which presented nosological problems and diagnostic difficulties. These were further clouded by political and sociocultural issues which included malnutrition, learning disabilities and postulated hereditable physical and mental degeneration. Uncertainty about the true nature of overpressure divided the British medical profession with a vocal minority alleging that it was common and could result in serious illness, another group who thought that the consequences were minor, and some who altogether doubted its existence. In Britain the debate was intensified by politically motivated funding decisions which put pressures on elementary schoolchildren. In continental Europe the emphasis was on secondary schoolchildren but in other respects the condition was similar, though severe symptoms were more commonly described in Britain. Comparisons with neurasthenia and similar states show that overpressure was what is now recognized as a fatigue state. Nosological difficulties are common in these conditions and often result in conflicting opinions. Disputes about overpressure temporarily damaged the British profession’s credibility at a time when some doctors were pressing for further medical involvement in the educational arena. However, schools could now no longer be regarded as exclusively pedagogical and overpressure had contributed to wider concerns about child health and welfare.

Abstract:
Various pneumatic systems of existing pneumatic devices, row-crop seeders, operating both in vacuum and at overpressure of the air flow, have been analyzed. Such systems are used for seeding seeds in different ways, for example, dotted and combined. As a result of the analysis, it was found that in all cases, for each method of sowing seeds, a separate metering device is required, therefore, our task was to create such a design of the seeding device, in which it is possible to sow both in a dotted manner and combined, without changing their constituent elements. The implementation of this goal is given in this work.
