Poly(3,4-ethylene dioxythiophene) (PEDOT) has been inserted between the layers of crystallineV2O5via the in situ polymerization of EDOT within the framework of the oxyde. These four extracts were tested for antioxydative activity, determined using the DPPH●.radical scavenging and nitric oxyde-inhibitory assay. All the extracts showed antioxidative activity except the petroleum ether extracts. Among the crude extracts, the acetate ethyl extract was the most potent extract in both assays with the SC50 values of 8.2 μg/mL and 80.7 μg/mL,
