Abstract:

A rendition by nayif kharma of michael etherton's theatrical adaptation of john reed's english translation, the arabic version of Ferdinand Oyono's novel Une vie de boy is at three removes from the original French. Under the title Al-khādim (“The Servant”), the play appeared in 1982 in the series Min al-masrah al-'ālami (“From World Theater”), published by Kuwait's Ministry of Culture. Since to all effects and purposes Etherton's theatrical adaptation is Kharma's original, it is necessary to begin by describing how the Zambian-born British writer who taught drama at the University of Zambia in the 1960s adapted his source, Reed's Houseboy, before discussing how the play was later Arabized.

Abstract:

Abstract This paper examines the German translation of two novels by the Cameroonian author Ferdinand Oyono and goes against the normative approach adopted by so many critics of translations of African literary texts. It argues that if the German translation of Ferdinand Oyono is bad in the Bermanian conception, it is mainly because it is a good translation of an original text which means to be read as translation. Hence it is neither good, nor bad.

In 1979 the publishing house mladinska knjiga released the slovene translation of ferdinand oyono's une vie de boy (1956) as Življenje hišnega služabnika. The book appeared largely as a result of an order “from above” in what was then Yugoslavia, mandating publication of texts by writers from Nonaligned Movement (NAM) countries. Marjana Samide, the translator, had previously translated From a Crooked Rib (1970), by the Somali writer Nuruddin Farah (Upognjeno rebro [1978]), and she was given Une vie de boy by a Mladinska knjiga series editor because both authors, Farah and Oyono, were from Africa, seen evidently as a unitary place.

Abstract:

Of the fourteen translations of Ferdinand Oyono's une vie de boy published to date, the Vietnamese translation, Đới Làm bồi, dates last, despite Vietnam and Cameroon's shared past under French colonialism. Nguyễn Như đat, the novel's Vietnamese translator, had anticipated that his version, published in 1997, would not find much of a market. The translator's pessimism was warranted, since the Vietnam of the late 1990s drastically differed from the two Vietnams of 1956, when Oyono's novel was originally published. Partitioned after the 1954 Geneva Accords and fighting against each other in the Second Indochina War, the Democratic Republic of Vietnam in the north and the Republic of Vietnam in the south were unified at the war's end, in 1975, under a socialist government. But since 1986 Vietnam has been engaged in the capitalist world market, albeit under the banner of socialism. Given this context of market socialism, the Vietnamese translation of Oyono's anticolonial novel seems to have lagged temporally: it was published at a time when literary translations in Vietnam began trending away from anticolonialism and toward, for example, Raymond Carver's minimalism, Haruki Murakami's surreal handling of alienation, and, more recently, Vladimir Nabokov's perversely defamiliarizing style.

Abstract:

Ce texte remet en question la lecture réaliste qui a généralement été faite d’Une vie de boy (1957), premier roman de la trilogie de Ferdinand Oyono. Partant d’une étude du regard, il vise à montrer que celui-ci détermine autant un contenu qu’il met l’accent sur une forme, une esthétique littéraire. En effet, dans le récit, si le regard renvoie à un instrument de pouvoir (celui qui oppose les colons et les colonisés) et constitue un enjeu de subversion, il se traduit aussi par une écriture allusive, alliant la distance, l’ironie et l’insolite. Par son caractère indiciel, voire figural, cette « écriture du regard » dont témoigne le journal intime de Toundi en fait une sorte de « récit-forme », où l’espace du texte et le hors-texte (le social) se convoquent mutuellement.

Cet article propose une lecture du roman africain qui cherche à penser ensemble écriture et représentation du corps. À partir de l’allégorie du corps prisonnier dans Le vieux nègre et la médaille de Ferdinand Oyono, il s’agit de lire une posture d’énonciation qui s’apparente à une prise de conscience susceptible de s’ouvrir sur une appropriation créatrice de nouvelles manières de (se) dire. Cette lecture critique des enjeux du texte romanesque, qui s’intéresse notamment à des notions comme celles de « corps figuré » et, par suite, « figurant », s’attarde aux modèles de lecture des écritures francophones, de manière à dégager un lieu qui soit le support d’un discours romanesque transculturel et éclaté.

Este ensaio aborda a obra de uma artista cubana, Belkis Ayón (1967-1999), uma jovem negra, que, no breve tempo de sua vida, nos legou imagensperturbadoras, onde o sagrado excede os limites do mistério e do culto e se expandeno âmbito de uma vida comum e compartilhada. O tema da cultura abakuá, umasociedade secreta masculina que tem suas origens no longínquo Calabar, atravessaa iconografia da arte cubana. Tal vez, o primeiro expoente tenha sido o pintorespanhol Víctor Patricio de Landaluce, que residiu em La Habana até sua morte.No século XX, o culto abakuá, foi abordado por vários pintores cubanos: RenéPortocarrero, Mariano Rodríguez e sobre tudo Wifredo Lam. Belkis Ayón derivasó parcialmente dessa tradição: a pesar de acompanhar as cerimonias públicas eestudar os relatos da tradição abakuá nas obras de Lydia Cabrera, Fernando Ortiz eEnrique Sosa Rodríguez, a artista concebe, grava e imprime imagens que provêmde uma memória sagrada e ancestral. Ela imagina imagens a partir do relatoprimordial e assim oferece a Sikán uma sobrevida que excede o espaço restritopor onde espalha-se um secreto nascido à beira do rio Oyono, na Nigéria. Vinteanos depois da morte de Ayón, podemos detectar na sua obra as problemáticascontemporâneas de gênero, etnia, situação social e exclusão. Uma mulher capturao som com que se evoca o espírito e, por isso, é sacrificada. Será necessária outramulher para dar imagem e voz à lembrança sagrada sequestrada e apropriadapelos homens.

Abstract:

Body scrub cream is a semi-solid dosage form containing one or more dissolved or dispersed medicinal ingredients in suitable base ingredients and serves to smooth the body's skin and remove damaged skin cells with the help of scrub material. Oyong fiber (Luffa acutangula) is used as a scrubber material that is natural, biodegradable and inexpensive. The aim of this study to know the effect of the addition of oyong fiber powder and stirring time to the characteristics of body scrub cream and to determine the percentage of the addition of oyong fiber powder and length of stirring to produce the best body scrub cream. This research uses factorial randomized block design with two factors. The first factor is the percentage of the addition of the Oyong fiber powder consisting of 3 levels namely 5, 7, 9 and 11% and the second factor is the stirring time consisting of 10, 15, and 20 minutes. Data were analyzed by analysis of variance and continued by Tukey's test. The results of the study showed that the addition loofah (Luffa acutangula) fiber powder addition and the stirring time very affected the pH, viscosity, spreadability power, adhesion power and overall acceptance of the body scrub cream. The interaction between the addition loofah (Luffa acutangula) fiber powder addition and the stirring time very affected the viscosity and the spreadability power. Addition of 9% of loofah (Luffa acutangula) fiber powder and 20 minutes of the stirring time was the best treatment for body scrub cream with characteristics as follows: pH 4.60, viscosity 37600 cp, homogeny, spreadability power 4.6 cm, adhesion power 9.88 seconds, separation ratio=1 and overall acceptance 5,90 (rather like to like). <em>Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di Kebun Percobaan Leuwikopo IPB, Darmaga Bogor dari bulan Agustus hingga Desember 2013. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengevaluasi pengaruh aplikasi biomulsa Arachis pintoi dalam peningkatkan pertumbuhan dan produksi tanaman oyong (Luffa acutangula) dan pakcoy (Brassica chinensis) serta dampaknya terhadap kualitas tanah. Penelitian ini terdiri dari dua percobaan yang dilakukan secara berurutan menggunakan bedeng yang sama. Musim tanam petama bedeng ditanam tanaman oyong, sedangkan musim tanam kedua dengan tanaman pakcoy tanpa pengolahan tanah namun dilakukan penggantian mulsa plastik hitam perak (MPHP) sesuai jarak tanam pakcoy. Perlakuan terdiri atas tanpa mulsa, mulsa plastik hitam perak, biomulsa Arachis pintoi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penggunaan biomulsa Arachis pintoi setelah dua musim tanam menunjukan penurunan nilai C-organik paling kecil dibandingkan perlakuan lain. Perlakuan MPHP pada tanaman oyong meningkatkan pertumbuhan vegetatif yaitu pada parameter panjang tanaman, jumlah cabang dan bobot brangkasan dengan respon yang sama dengan perlakuan tanpa mulsa, sedangkan pada parameter bobot akar perlakuan MPHP memiliki nilai paling tinggi dari perlakuan lainnya. Perlakuan MPHP terhadap komponen produksi buah/tanaman dan jumlah buah/tanaman memiliki respon yang paling baik dibandingkan perlakuan lainnya. Secara umum perlakuan MPHP memiliki nilai terbaik dibandingkan dengan perlakuan tanpa mulsa dan biomulsa A. pintoi terhadap tinggi tanaman, jumlah daun, bobot akar, dan bobot panen.</em>

Abstract:

Egypt is considered one of the most historically rich countries around the world, not only for its famous ancient Egyptian monuments but also for its rich Coptic and Islamic heritage sites. Among which is the medieval Mamluk aqueduct of Sultan AL-Nasser Mohammadknown as " SoorMagra AL". However, despite its ionic location and great historic value, SoorMagra ALdistrict has been severely neglected and affected by the great population growth and urban sprawl leaving it urbanely deteriorated, poorly designed, and aching with slums, pollution, and destructive land uses.The research aims to propose a revitalization and urban development strategy forALdistrict through a number of urban interventions including the removal of slums and inappropriate land uses, reallocating suitable land uses, redesigning streets, pedestrian and bike lanes, green areas, and public spaces that respect the context and urban fabric of such a valuable heritage site.The proposed project is mainly a commercial promenade combining urban, social, economic, and touristic activities. The research follows an analytical methodology through which the basic urban design theories and standards of infill projects in heritage sites would be reviewed, as well as undergoing a comparative analysis of successful commercialinfill projects in different heritage sites around the world. Moreover, the research would offer an urban assessment of the current urban state of SoorMagra ALthrough cooperating with various governmental entities for acquiring statistical data, maps, and information, as well as a series of fstudies to cover all design criteria. The proposed project aims to integrate a number of different functions including commercial, touristic, and community services through a comprehensive urban design project that acts as a catalyst regenerating project not only in the urban aspect but also socially and economically.

Penelitian menggunakan Rancangan Acak Kelompok (RAK) Faktorial dengan 2 faktor . Faktor pertama Pupuk NPK Mutiara 3 taraf dosisyaitu (P1) 210 gr, (P2) 315 gr, (P3) 420 gr. Faktor kedua Metode aplikasi pupuk NPK Mutiara3 taraf yaitu(M1)Ditugal, (M2) Dilarikan/barisan, (M3) Melingkar penuh.Parameter yang diamati Panjang Batang Utama (cm), jumlah cabang, jumlah buah per tanaman (buah), berat buah per tanaman (kg), berat buah per plot (kg). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa perlakuan dosis dan metode aplikasi pupuk NPK Mutiara berpengaruh nyata terhadap tinggi tanaman umur 3,5,7 MST , jumlah buah per tanaman, berat buah per tanaman, berat buah per plot dan jumlah cabang. Interaksi pemberian dosis dan metode aplikasi pupuk NPK Mutiara berpengaruhtidak nyata terhadap parameter timggi tanaman, jumlah buah per tanaman, berat buah per tanaman, berat buah per plot dan jumlah cabang. Abstract:

Benih Oyong (Luffa acutangula (L.) Roxb.) memiliki dormansi fisik, serta berkulit keras dan tebal. Salah satu upaya untuk mematahkan dormansi fisik adalah menggunakan mikroorganisme Trichoderma sp dan penyimpanan. Penelitian dilakukan selama 3 bulan, pada bulan Agustus hingga November 2017, bertempat di Laboratorium PT. Benih Citra Asia, Jl. Akmaludin No. 26 Jember Jawa Timur 64117. Percobaan ini menggunakan Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL) Faktorial dengan 2 faktor yang diulang sebanyak 3 kali. Faktor pertama yaitu lama perendaman yang terdiri dari 4 taraf, Tanpa Perendaman, direndam dengan larutan spora Trichoderma sp. selama 1 Hari, 2 Hari, dan 3 Hari. Faktor kedua adalah lama penyimpanan yang terdiri dari 2 taraf, yaitu disimpan selama 0 Minggu, dan 2 Minggu. Penelitian lama perendaman Trichoderma sp. memberikan hasil pengaruh nyata pada parameter Indeks Dormansi (ID) dan pengaruh sangat nyata pada parameter Kecepatan Tumbuh. Perlakuan perendaman selama 2 hari memberikan hasil. Sedangkan pengaruh penyimpanan (S) memberikan pengaruh berbeda sangat nyata pada parameter kecepatan tumbuh. Perlakuan penyimpanan setelah aplikasi memberikan hasil meningkatkan nilai KcT sampai 17,58%/etmal. Interaksi antara perlakuan Lama Perendaman Tichoderma sp dan penyimpanan memberikan pengaruh berbeda sangat nyata pada parameter kecepatan tumbuh dan pada parameter Indeks Dormansi serta benih abnormal. Benih Oyong yang yang direndam menggunakan larutan Trichoderma sp. selama 2 hari tanpa disimpan memiliki Kecepatan Tumbuh diatas 17%/ etmal, yaitu 17,65%/ etmal, dengan Indeks Dormansi paling rendah yaitu 13,33%.

Memiliki kandungan gizi yang tinggi dan serat buah yang halus sehingga mudah dicerna,Â banyak digunakan sebagai obat tradisional sebagai anti diabetes, anti hipertensi, anti tumor, immunomodulasi, dan anti bakteri karena banyak mengandung nutrisi dan senyawa bioaktif seperti fenolat, flavonoid, vitamin (termasuk vitamin Î²-karoten, vitamin A, vitamin B2, Î±-tokoferol, vitamin C, dan vitaminE) ,asam amino, karbohidratdan mineral(terutamakalium), kandungan energirendah(sekitar 17 Kcal/100 glabusegar)dan serat dalam jumlah yang besar.Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui hubungan kekerabatan jenis tumbuhan famili Cucurbitaceae berdasarkan karakter morfologi di Kabupaten Pidie. Penelitian dilaksanakan pada Juni-Agustus 2018 di Kabupeten Pidie, terdiri dari Kecamatan Pidie, Mila, Indrajaya, Peukan Baro, Mutiara, dan Tangse. Pengamatan morfologi dilakukan dengan mengamati organ batang, daun, bunga, buah dan biji. Analisis data dengan menggunakan software UPGMA NTSYS untuk memperoleh dendrogram hubungan kekerabatan.Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa ditemukan 8 (delapan) jenis tumbuhan famili Cucurbitaceae terdiri dari Cucumis sativus (mentimun), Luffa acutangula (gambas/oyong), Ligenaria siceria (labu air), Cucurbita moschata (waluh), Sechium edule (labu siam), Citrullus vulgaris (semangka), Cucumis melo (melon), dan Momordica charantia (pare). Karakterisasi morfologi pada tumbuhan famili cucurbitaceae menunjukkan adanya variasi morfologi pada organ batang, daun, bunga, buah dan biji. Pada koefisien kemiripan 0.67, dendogram dibagi menjadi 4 (empat) kelompok. Kelompok 1 terdiri dari Cucumis sativus (mentimun), Luffa acutangula (gambas/oyong), Ligenaria siceria (labu air), dan Citrullus vulgaris (semangka). Kelompok 2 terdiri dari Cucurbita moschata (waluh) dan Cucumis melo (melon). Kelompok 3 terdiri dari Sechium edule (labu siam). <p>Oyong production is still low due to the limited availability of quality seeds. The production can be increased by one of the plant breeding techniques, which is mutation technique. The technique of mutation by chemical mutagens is able to increase the genetic diversity ofplants allowing the breeding to select genotype of plants in accordance with the intended breeding objective. Therefore, research is required to be conducted by using colchicin as a chemical mutagen which causes polyploid, in which organism has three sets or more chromosomes inside its cells. Meanwhile, the general nature of this polyploid plant is being sturdier; parts of the plantare bigger; so that later, its poor nature will be better as well as changing the potency of the result. Research using complete randomized block design (RBD) with one factor concentration of 0,1% (P1), 0,2% (P2), 0,3% (P3), 0,4% (P4), 0,5% ( P5), and 0,6% (P6). Colchicines treatment can cause changes in growth and yield variables. Colchicines treatment with a concentration of 0,3% showed positive changes to theweight of fruit, fruit diameter and length of the fruit. An increase in diversity on growth and yield components especially on colchicines treatment with 0,3%concentration.</p>

Abstract:

Gambas or Oyong fruit has various benefits, namely it can overcome enlarged lymph nodes, diuretics, laxatives, antioxidants, hepatoprotective, inhibiting the growth of fungi and bacteria. The purpose of this study was to determine the levels of total flavonoid compounds in gambas (Luffa acutangula (L.) Roxb). Extraction methode using soxhletation with 96% ethanol as solvent. The extract obtained was used for qualitative and quantitative analysis. Phytochemical analysis of the flavonoid content in the sample using the Shinoda test, 10% NaOH solution, and concentrated H2SO4 solution, obtained positive results containing flavonoids. Quantitative analysis using UV-Vis Spectrophotometry with the maximum wavelength obtained is 429.5 nm and operating time is 30 minutes. The average total flavonoid content obtained was 9.897±0.11 mg/gram extract with %KV 1.14%.

Oyong fiber (OF) is widely available natural fiber, the material characteristics and porosity make it a suitable alternative for filtration media. Accordingly, to investigate the potential use of OF as filter material in the wastewater disinfection process, this study applied different silver nanoparticles coating onto OF and proposed a new filter structure at lower cost. The OF coated AgNPs and OF coated Ag-GO were successfully synthesized following the chemical reduction methods as reported in the literature. SEM image shown that silver nanoparticles were randomly distributed on the surface of OF. Both OF coated AgNPs and Ag-GO exhibited a good disinfection capability for Total Coliform removal from wastewater. The OF coated Ag-GO have better Total Coliform Log Removal Value (LRV) of 3.3 and still maintain stable disinfection ability even at high filtration rate.

This paper is concerned with a vitally significant – but hitherto largely unrecovered – feature of the pre-colonial African past. Historians of Africa commonly pay conventional lip service to the idea that the structural and affective dimensions of kinship are of great, and even shaping, importance in the past of many of the societies that they study. However, such acknowledgements remain in the realm of generalization, and hardly any scholarship exists that seeks to historicize kinship in any detail. This paper tries to redress this situation. It goes beyond synchronic ethnographic commonplaces, and offers a historically documented analysis and interpretation of the operation of kinship within a specific pre-colonial context.The subject matter is the West African forest kingdom of Asante (Ashanti), now located within the Republic of Ghana. In specific terms, the paper addresses the structural characteristics and the interpersonal dynamics of kinship within the history of the Kumase Oyoko KɔKɔɔ abusua (the ruling dynasty of Asante) between, very broadly, the 1760s and the 1880s. The discussion is centred on the evolving history of relations between individuals – most centrally the Asantehene Kwaku Dua Panin and the Asantehemaa Afua Sapon – within a particular ɔyafunu koro (uterine group or stirp; ‘family’) that was a componential part of the royal dynasty. The core of the paper is an analytic reading of the konnurokusΣm, a complex dynastic conflict that involved the individuals named and that occurred in the 1850s.In sum, this paper argues that the reconstruction and analysis of the field of kinship relations within African societies – such as the example of pre-colonial Asante discussed here – places an extremely important, if hitherto neglected, tool in the hands of historians. The interpretation of events, the understanding of actions and motives, and the overall deepening of comprehension are all enriched by the use of this tool. The enrichment thereby attained – it is argued – pays appropriate and overdue attention to specifically indigenous readings of the Asante (and African) past.

The Courgette or oyong (Luffa acutangula L. (Roxb)) is member of Cucurbitaceae mainly used as vegetable. Beside used as vegetables, courgette aslo used as keratolytic agent. This fact is supposed that this vegetables contain protease. This research is succeed to purified courgette’s protease by four step. That was precipitate by 70% ammonium sulphate saturation, purification using DEAE cellulose ion exchange chromatography and gel filtration chromatography using sephadex G-100 and G-75. Purified courgette’s protease had 81,922 U/mg for specific activity and 34 kDa molecular weight. This enzyme had the characteristic such as activated optimally at 37oC, pH 7 and 10 minute duration time. This enzyme activity can decrease by PMSF and H2O2, its remarkable that courgette protease is serine protease and had the thiol group in its structure. The ability to digest food proteins materials like boiled meat and boiled white egg by courgette protease proves that the courgette protease enzyme is could be used in enzyme replacement therapy in mild digestion problem.

Consuming fruits and vegetables is the best immune boosting way that can be done. The importance of knowing local fruits and vegetables so that it can increase immunity. Make sure fruits and vegetables are always on the diet, so that the body is always in the best condition. This research examines the diversity of local fruits and vegetables in Jember District which can increase immunity. The research method uses exploratory survey, which aims to collect information with a qualitative approach. The research instrument consists of: observation sheets, interview guidelines and documentation. The survey area covers 31 districts in Jember District. The results of the study found 28 types of local fruit that can increase immunity, namely : avocado, sweet starfruit, wuluh starfruit, cantaloupe, red dragon fruit, guava, crystal guava, lime, semboro orange, kedondong, manalagi mango, gadung mango, pineapple, papaya, banana ambon, banana berlin, banana kepok, banana nangka, banana raja, soursop, big orange, ciplukan, passion fruit, pomegranate, mangosteen and apple melon. Also found 18 types of local vegetables that can increase immunity, namely: pumpkin, tomatoes, green spinach, red spinach, leeks, oyong, large chilies, rawit chilies, katu leaves, moringa leaves, papaya leaves, kenikir, cabbage, ferns, celery, and cauliflower. Of the 28 types of local fruit found, as much as 44.8% has been cultivated. From 18 types of local vegetables, which has been cultivated by 38.9%.

Spryite (Ag7.98Cu0.05)Σ=8.03(As5+0.31Ge0.36As3+0.31Fe3+0.02)Σ=1.00S5.97, and ideally Ag8(As3+0.5As5+0.5)S6, is a new mineral recently described from the Uchucchacua polymetallic deposit, Oyon district, Catajambo, Lima Department, Peru. Its room temperature structure exhibits an orthorhombic symmetry, space group Pna21, with lattice parameters a = 14.984(4), b = 7.474(1), c = 10.571(2) Å, V = 1083.9(4) Å3, Z = 4, and shows the coexistence of As3+ and As5+ distributed in a disordered fashion in a unique mixed position. To analyze the crystal-chemical behaviour of the arsenic distribution at ultra-low temperatures, a structural study was carried out at 30 K by means of in situ single-crystal X-ray diffraction data (helium-cryostat) on the same sample previously characterized from a chemical and structural point of view. At 30 K, spryite still crystallizes with orthorhombic symmetry, space group Pna21, but gives rise to a a × 3b × c superstructure, with a = 14.866(2), b = 22.240(4), c = 10.394(1) Å, V = 3436.5(8) Å3 and Z = 4 (Ag24As3+As5+Ge4+S18 stoichiometry). The twin laws making the twin lattice simulating a perfect hexagonal symmetry have been taken into account and the crystal structure has been solved and refined. The refinement of the structure leads to a residual factor R = 0.0329 for 4070 independent observed reflections [with Fo > 4σ(Fo)] and 408 variables. The threefold superstructure arises from the ordering of As3+ and (As5+, Ge4+) in different crystal-chemical environments.

Abstract:

Abstrak Kismosari adalah salah satu wilayah yang merupakan bagian administratif dari Desa Gadingan Kecamatan Mojolaban, Kab Sukoharjo. Rendahnya kualitas air yang ditandai dengan tingginya kesadahan air serta diikuti dengan rendahnya perilaku hidup bersih dan sehat (PHBS) berakibat munculnya kerentanan masyarakat terhadap dampak kesehatan dan ekonomi. Progrtam ini dilakukan sebagai upaya preventif melalui pemanfaatan bahan herbal berkhasiat yang merupakan potensi wilayah yang menjadi produk berbasis herbal. Pengabdian masyarakat dengan mitra paguyuban bapak-bapak Kismosari dan perkumpulan ibu-ibu PKK Mekarsari diawali dengan melakukan edukasi PHBS dan pemanfaatan herbal berkhasiat, dilanjutkan dengan pelatihan herbal berkhasiat. Potensi herbal berkhasiat di wilayah tersebut diaplikasikan dengan pembuatan produk yaitu biofilter dan hansanitizer dalam bentuk spray. Produk dilakukan oleh warga kedua mitra dengan pendampingan dari mahasiswa dan stakeholder. Pengembangan produk melihat hasil dari evaluasi mitra pada pelaksanaan herbal berkhasiat. Evaluasi pengembanga produk diperoleh hasil 10,53 % untuk pengembangan biofilter pipa yang dipasang pada air keluar dari pompa air, 15,79 % untuk pengembangan biofilter pipa yang dipasang pada kran air, dan 73,68 % untuk produk spray. Pengembanga produk spray dilakukan oleh ibu-ibu PKK Mekarsari.Kata Kunci: PHBS, Biofilter, Hansanitizer, KismosariAbstractKismosari is an area that is an administrative part og Gadingan Village, Mojolaban, Sukoharjo district. The low quality of water that is characterized by high water hardness and followed by low hygiene and healtly living behavior (PHBS) result in the emergence of community vulnerability to health and economic impacts. This program is conducted as a preventive effort through the utilization of nutritious herbs that are potential of the region to be herbal based products. Community service with the community partners of Kismosari fathers and the Mekarsari PKK women's association begins by education PHBS and utilization of nutritious herbs, continued with a nutritious herbal training. Potential herbs of that region are applied with the manufacture of products, that is biofilter and hananitizer in the form of spray. The productin is carried out by the villangers of two partners with accompaniment by the implementing team involving students and stakeholders. Product development sees the results of partners evaluation on the implementation of nutritious herbs. Evaluation of product development obtained results of 10.53% for the development of pipe biofilter which was installed in the water out of the water pump, 15.79% for the development of pipe biofilter installed on the water tap, and 73.68% for spray products. Abstract:

ABSTRACT Aim To measure the time course hydrogen peroxide penetration into the pulp cavity and evaluate short-term tooth color changes after bleaching. Materials and methods Twenty extracted human canines were sectioned, pulp tissue removed and the cavity enlarged. Teeth were painted with nail varnish to leave a 6-mm diameter circle on the buccal surface. Baseline color was measured spectrophotometrically. Teeth were randomized into a control group (n = 10) treated with 30 μl of glycerin base and a bleaching group (n = 10) exposed to 30 μl of 40% hydrogen peroxide for 1 hour. A linear low density polyethylene wrap was placed to prevent evaporation of the material. Acetate buffer was placed into the cavity and replenished every 10 minutes and placed into plastic tubes. Hydrogen peroxide amount was estimated spectrophotometrically using leukocrystal violet and horseradish peroxidase. Specimen color was remeasured immediately after bleaching, 1 hour, 1 day 1, 2 and 6 weeks postbleaching. Color change was measured per Commission Internationale de l'Eclairage methodology. Mann-Whitney procedure was used to assess baseline color measurements and total hydrogen peroxide penetration amount. Friedman's test was used to assess within group differences for color change and hydrogen peroxide penetration. Results There was significantly greater hydrogen peroxide penetration in the bleaching group (p < 0.05). Hydrogen peroxide penetration levels were constant throughout the 1-hour evaluation period in the bleaching group. The groups showed no difference at baseline with respect to any of L*a*b color measurements (p > 0.05). The postbleaching color measurement showed an increase of change in overall color (ΔE) and lightness (ΔL) up to 1 week followed by a gradual stabilization up to 6 weeks. Conclusion This dynamic model provided information about the time course diffusion kinetics into the pulp cavity, demonstrating constant penetration of hydrogen peroxide into the pulp cavity during a 1-hour bleaching session. Clinical significance A prolonged application of 40% hydrogen peroxide bleaching material for 1 hour produces constant penetration of hydrogen peroxide into the pulp cavity in vitro. AbstractAgmantinite, ideally Ag2MnSnS4, is a new mineral from the Uchucchacua polymetallic deposit, Oyon district, Catajambo, Lima Department, Peru. It occurs as orange–red crystals up to 100 μm across. Agmantinite is translucent with adamantine lustre and possesses a red streak. It is brittle. Neither fracture nor cleavage were observed. Based on the empirical formula the calculated density is 4.574 g/cm3. On the basis of chemically similar compounds the Mohs hardness is estimated at between 2 to 2½. In plane-polarised light agmantinite is white with red internal reflections. It is weakly bireflectant with no observable pleochroism with red internal reflections. Between crossed polars, agmantinite is weakly anisotropic with reddish brown to greenish grey rotation tints. The reflectances (RminandRmax) for the four standard wavelengths are: 19.7 and 22.0 (470 nm); 20.5 and 23.2 (546 nm); 21.7 and 2.49 (589 nm); and 20.6 and 23.6 (650 nm), respectively.Agmantinite is orthorhombic, space groupP21nm, with unit-cell parameters:a= 6.632(2),b= 6.922(2),c= 8.156(2) Å,V= 374.41(17) Å3,a:b:c0.958:1:1.178 andZ= 2. The crystal structure was refined toR= 0.0575 for 519 reflections withI >2σ(I). Agmantinite is the first known mineral of${M}_{\rm 2}^{\rm I} $MIIMIVS4type that is derived from wurtzite rather than sphalerite by ordered substitution of Zn, analogous to the substitution pattern for deriving stannite from sphalerite. The six strongest X-ray powder-diffraction lines derived from single-crystal X-ray diffraction data [din Å (intensity)] are: 3.51 (s), 3.32 (w), 3.11 (vs), 2.42 (w), 2.04 (m) and 1.88 (m). The empirical formula (based on 8 apfu) is (Ag1.94Cu0.03)Σ1.97(Mn0.98Zn0.05)Σ1.03Sn0.97S4.03.The crystal structure-derived formula is Ag2(Mn0.69Zn0.31)Σ1.00SnS4and the simplified formula is Ag2MnSnS4.The name is for the composition and the new mineral and mineral name have been approved by the International Mineralogical Association Commission on New Minerals, Nomenclature and Classification (IMA2014-083).
