Abstract:

The P.A.C.E. operational methodology presented here is designed to assist subordinate crew members in resolving the basic question of the junior airman: “To Intervene or Not to Intervene?.” The P.A.C.E. system has unraveled “The Copilot's Catch 22: You are damned if you ignore the Captain's mistakes; you are damned if you do something about them.” The four operational procedure steps of P.A.C.E. establish a systematic intervention progression of inquiries to reduce risks at each level of the sequence. The P.A.C.E. skills enable subordinate flight crew members to use proven operationally based procedures to effectively intervene when a Captain is not performing up to reasonable professional standards. P.A.C.E. procedures have been developed from case studies of voice recorder transcripts of National Transportation Safety Board aircraft accident reports. The P.A.C.E. methodology provides the skill and knowledge to implement new, operationally relevant components into Crew Resource Management training for each individual organization.

O texto discute a Base Nacional Comum Curricular (BNCC), especificamente a forma como a EJA e os estudantes P.A.E.E foram excluídos do debate, o que nos leva à seguinte questão: a quem serve de fato a BNCC? Por fim, apresenta exemplo de prática pedagógica curricular, planejada por professores críticos e mostra como a referida prática se tornou instrumento de luta e resistência para os alunos.

The present work is an analysis with comments of the model created by Dr. Roberto Kertész. The organization is a complex social reality that is defined as a set of people, a deliberate internal structure and a common goal. This is achieved through processes of transformation of certain "inputs" to the system - organization, obtained from the context or environment. The P.A.L.T is a systemic model, in which the organization has the opportunity to regulate its activity. The levels of the efficiency of the organizational performance will obviously depend on the quality of these interactions and the study of the nature of them will allow the management to achieve a set of more valuable results. In order to systematize this set of knowledge, it is convenient to group its components in a model that is both analytical and integral. Abstract:

This study deals with the production of durable high strength flowable mortar (HSFM). Firstly, the optimum percentage of silica fume was determined due to Pozzolanic Activity Index (P.A.I) test. Secondly, the selected mortar reinforced by different percentages of steel fibers or hybrid fibers of steel fibers , palm fibers and synthetic fibers (Barchip) to prepare HSFM mixes. Such mixes were tested in compressive strength, splitting tensile strength, static modulus of elasticity, flexural strength, toughness indices determination, and impact load for all the mixes. Lastly, the effects of seawater exposure on the properties of HSFM have been observed. The results show that the use of 10% silica fume as a partial replacement of cement indicate the best P.A.I. On the other hand, the hybridizations of such fibers enhance the performance of HSFM mixes. In addition, the hybrid fibers reduce the permeability of HSFM leading to significance improvement against seawater exposure.

Through the training, ECE attendants will be enabled to tell Nusantara folktales which are rich in local wisdom as a media of character education for todlers in the local ECE. Such a community service project could also be beneficial if it is disseminated in other focus groups that badly need it in the inner city of Surabaya.

AbstractUBVRI photometry and radial velocity measurements of EU Tau obtained during three weeks in November/December 1987 have been used to (1) confirm the period, P = 2.1025 days, and epoch established by Fernie (1987, P.A.S.P.,99, 1093) and earlier observers, and (2) investigate apparent phase and/or amplitude discrepancies in the light curve first reported by Gieren and Matthews (1987, A.J.,94, 431). Comparison of these new data with photometry collected by different observers covering over two decades suggests that the light curve of EU Tau undergoes short-lived (less than about 2 pulsation cycles) changes which appear to occur with a period of roughly 19 – 21 days. Various possible sources of modulation – including binarity, double-mode beating and nonradial pulsations – are considered and rejected as unsatisfactory.

A research of refraction methods in estabilishment location Hospital Education Sebelas Maret University has been done on October 31 2012 with P.A.S.I Seismograph Mod. 16S24 seismic refraction instruments with 24 geophone. This research in order to determine the depth of bedrock in the estabilishment location hospital education Sebelas Maret University. In this data acquisition, the travel time data was a distance function. Processing and interpretation data used Intercept Time Method. Intercept Time Method used value of intercept time concept from travel time curve. This interpretation which resulted P wave velocities and layer rocks thickness in three line which scattered in area of survey. The result was that we were able to obtain bedrock having the depth of 4 meters until 9 meters and heaving spreading velocity 1079 m/s – 1182 m/s is interpreted as talus deposits, sandstone, clay, loam, loess, sand and gravel.

Abstrak – Surakarta merupakan salah satu kota di Jawa Tengah yang memiliki perkembangan cukup pesat. Beberapa pembangunan infrastruktur yang cukup masif di kota Surakarta adalah hotel-hotel dengan ketinggian lebih dari 25 lantai, pembangunan jalan flyover, jembatan dan kawasan industri di utara dan selatan kota Surakarta. Telah dilakukan survei mikrotremor untuk menentukan ketebalan pelapisan sedimen di kota Surakarta. Peta ketebalan sedimen digunakan untuk menentukan daerah yang rawan terhadap amplifikasi magnitud gempa, semakin tebal lapisan sedimen semakin besar amplifikasi sehingga berbahaya bagi infrastruktur yang terletak diatasnya. Pengukuran mikrotremor dilakukan di 12 lokasi dengan interval jarak antar lokasi 1-3 km. Peralatan yang digunakan adalah P.A.S.I Seismograph Mod. 16S24-P dengan sensor 3D Borehole Geophone Model GFA 60/100. Lama waktu pengukuran setiap lokasi adalah 20 menit dengan tiga kali pengulangan perekaman data di setiap lokasi. Pengolahan data mikrotremor menggunakan software Geopsy dan Surfer 11. Diperoleh hasil ketebalan sedimen di Lokasi 4 yang berada di wilayah Dawung merupakah lokasi dengan ketebalan sedimen yang paling tebal yaitu 24,65 m. Kemudian ketebalan sedimen semakin menipis ke utara, yaitu pada tengah kota sekitar 15 meter dan pada sisi utara sekitar 5 meter. Hal ini mengindikasikan bahwa pada sisi selatan kota Surakarta merupakan daerah yang rawan terhadap amplifikasi jika terjadi gempa bumi.Kata kunci: metode mikrotremor, frekuensi dominan, ketebalan sedimen, Surakarta

Abstract:

An accurate determination of the “time-of-flight” in swarm experiments with a parallel plate drift chamber requires that the time evolution of the charge induced on the collector is linear. This is obtained in very large chambers where the edge effects can be neglected. However, the experimental conditions of high-mobility carriers and highly pressurized gases impose some constraints on the acceptable drift cell dimensions. We have numerically calculated the effects of the finite size of the collector by exploiting the methods of the images. The numerical results have been experimentally checked using a suitable drift cell of variable geometry. As a result, a quantitative limit on the ratio between the collector radius and the drift distance has been established in order to design drift cells for which the edge effects can be neglected. El porcentaje de resocialización en el sistema carcelario y penitenciario Colombiano es muy bajo, por tal razón esta investigación buscó ilustrar alternativas para llegar a niveles sobresaliente de rehabilitación del penado, pero también vislumbró las grandes falencias que atraviesa el sistema, como el hacinamiento y la precaria infraestructura existente, además de analizar el sistema P.A.S.O, el estudio hermenéutico realizado a la ley 65 de 1993 y la revisión bibliográfica e histórica sobre la evolución de la pena en Colombia y sus fines demuestra que en materia de reeducación penitenciaria el Estado está en deuda pues no hay grandes avances en esta materia, por otra parte este manuscrito es uno de los primero en su clase, realizando un estudio minucioso de los diferentes factores que impiden la reinserción social consecuencialmente este estudio aporta actualidad de la situación carcelaria del país y posibles soluciones

Abstract:

O processo de envelhecimento é caracterizado por várias modificações no organismo, que podem causar alterações no efeito de certos medicamentos, tornando-os inapropriados para idosos por falta de eficácia terapêutica ou por apresentarem efeitos adversos superiores aos benefícios. O objetivo do estudo foi identificar os medicamentos utilizados pelos idosos assistidos pelo Programa de Atenção ao Idoso (P.A.I.) e investigar o uso de medicamentos potencialmente inapropriados nessa população. Realizou-se estudo quantitativo e descritivo, com coleta de dados secundários, a partir de prontuários/cadastros dos idosos atendidos pelo P.A.I. (Projeto de Extensão Universitária da UNIJUÍ). Entre os idosos cadastrados, 16 receberam e/ou estão recebendo acompanhamento farmacoterapêutico pela equipe da farmácia, sendo 11 mulheres, com idade média de 75,2 ± 7,5 anos. Cada idoso recebe em média 7,3 ± 3,3 medicamentos. A polifarmácia foi verificada em 15 idosos. Entre os 117 medicamentos em uso, considerando-se repetições, 13 são inapropriados para idosos, destacando-se diazepam e fluoxetina, cada um utilizado por três idosos. Verifica-se que é imprescindível reduzir o uso de medicamentos inapropriados para melhorar a qualidade de vida dos idosos. É necessária a colaboração do prescritor e do profissional farmacêutico, que é responsável por avaliar a prescrição, identificar riscos relacionados à terapêutica e intervir através da comunicação com o prescritor responsável, fornecendo informações e sugestões que facilitem a utilização de serviços de saúde.

The methodology is based on cell co-cultivation on an 1.35 μm thin membrane followed by rapid immunostaining and microdissection of the different cell compartments using a laser microdissection system (P.A.L.M. Microlaser Technologies AG, Germany). For identifying the tumor cell compartment, immunolabeling for a marker that is expressed only in epithelial tumor cells is performed. The RNA quality from the microdissected co-cultured cells was successfully proved by RT-PCR for a housekeeping gene transcript and for the laminin gamma 2 chain gene transcript used before in the tumor cell immunostaining. Laminin cDNA was amplificable only in tumor cells and not in the co-cultivated fibroblasts indicating no cell-cross-contamination during microdissection. Microdissected tumor and stroma cells from the presented membrane based co-culture model can be used for gene expression profiling and DNA based analysis in the investigation of tumor-stroma interactions.

Abstract:

The era of occultation astronomy, studying dark objects by observing occultations of bright ones, has begun. The paper of Duncan, Quinn and Tremarne, “The Origin of Short-Period Comets”, Astrophys. J. Letters, 328, 69-73 (1988), greatly improved the prospects for occultation astronomy by demonstrating the existence of a second comet reservoir, the Kuiper Belt, much closer to us than the Oort Cloud and concentrated toward the ecliptic plane. Charles Alcock at Livermore (private communication) has begun work on a practical system of small telescopes to observe occultations of stars by comets. I here propose a system similar in concept of Alcock’s but using different hardware. We need to try various systems on a small scale to find out which are most cost-effective. My proposal is based on the Multiple Telescope Robotic Observatory (MTRO) developed by Boyd and Genet at Fairborn Observatory in Arizona. See Russell M. Prawo o aktach stanu cywilnego z 2014 r. przewiduje ograniczoną jawność formalną rejestru stanu cywilnego. Wśród osób uprzywilejowanych, które nie muszą spełniać dodatkowych przesłanek otrzymania odpisu aktu stanu cywilnego dotyczącego innej osoby, ustawa nie wymienia powinowatych, ale jedynie małżonka i pewną grupę najbliższych krewnych. W praktyce natomiast powinowaci dość często występują o wydanie odpisu aktu osoby, z którą łączy ich więź powinowactwa. Dotyczy to zwłaszcza odpisu aktu zgonu, który może być potrzebny w różnych sprawach. Brzmienie art. 45 ust. 1 p.a.s.c. prowadzi do wniosku, że powinowaci, tak jak inne osoby postronne, muszą wykazać interes prawny w uzyskaniu odpisu aktu stanu cywilnego. Autor przekonuje jednak, że przynależność do rodziny osoby, o której akt chodzi, oraz mnogość przypadków, w których powinowaci mogą potrzebować danego dokumentu, powinny wpływać na przyjęcie mniej rygorystycznych wymagań co do wykazania interesu prawnego. Interes taki można zwykle domniemywać. Dlatego też wystarczające wydaje się ogólne wskazanie wiarygodnego powodu, uzasadniającego wniosek o wydanie odpisu aktu, bez konieczności składania szczegółowych wyjaśnień i przedstawiania dodatkowych dokumentów.

Berdasarkan informasi dari letak geografis dan struktur geologi, Kota Surakarta termasuk wilayah yang mengalami dampak gempa bumi[1]. Salah satu upaya untuk mengurangi dampak dari gempa bumi yaitu melakukan analisa tingkat bahaya seismik sebagai salah satu usaha mitigasi bencana gempa dengan metode mikrotremor yang dapat diketahui nilai amplifikasi dan periode dominan. Pada penelitian telah dilakukan di Kota Surakarta menggunakan P.A.S.I Seismograph Mod. 16S24-P, 3D Borehole Geophone Model GFA 60/100. Interval pada setiap lokasi yaitu 1-3 km dengan 12 lokasi penelitian. Diperlukan waktu sekitar 20 menit dengan tiga kali pengulangan untuk perekaman data disetiap titik. Pengolahan data mikrotremor menggunakan software Geopsy dan Surfer 11. Amplifikasi rendah pada zona 1 merupakan zona yang cukup aman terhadap bahaya gempa bumi. Zona 1 berada di wilayah Mojo, Moewardi, Sangkrah, Dawung, SMPN 10, Mojosongo, Lapangan Banyuanyar, Laweyan, Karang Asem danTipes dengan amplifikasi 0,807314 sampai dengan 2,60402. Lokasi pada jenis I termasuk wilayah yang cukup aman terhadap gempa bumi karena memiliki ketebalan sedimen yang tipis daripada jenis II. Jenis I berada di wilayah Mojo, Moewardi, Sangkrah, SMPN 10, Manahan, Mojosongo, Lapangan Banyuanyar, Laweyan, Karang Asem, Jebres dan Tipes dengan periode dominan antara 0,058978s sampai dengan 0,231411s. Sebaran tingkat kerawanan gempa bumi di kota Surakarta dapat dilihat pada peta zonasi berdasarkan nilai A0 dan T0 yang kemudian diklasifikasikan hasilnya pada zona atau jenis tertentu sehingga diperoleh informasi berupa tingkat kerawanan dan juga jenis batuan yang tersusun dibawah permukaan tanah berdasarkan parameter yang diukur.

Until recently, the compact structure in 3C 395 could be described as follows (Simon et al. 1987): (1)A bright, unresolved, flat spectrum core to the northwest. The core brightened by about 0.4 Jy between 1983.3 and 1985.4, from 0.6 Jy to 1.0 Jy.(2)A moderately resolved component 15.8+/−0.2 mas to the southwest along P.A.I 18o. The position of this component relative to the core has changed by less than 0.2 mas in 6 years and the flux density of this component has remained roughly constant.(3)A component which was moving rapidly away from the core towards component (2) with a proper motion of 0.64+/−0.1 mas yr−1. For 3C 395 (z=0.635), this implies (v/c)∼20c for Ho =100 km/s/Mpc and qo =0.5.

Abstract:

Critically ill adult patients with a ventilator in intensive care often receive treatment that causes pain. Pain is a symptom that often occurs in critically ill adult patients with ventilator and it is very individual. Pain assessment in critically ill patients with the ventilator is needed because of the patient unable to self-report of pain. Pain assessments critically ill adult patients have been developed. However, there is no valid and reliable instrument to assess pain. The objectives of the literature review are to identify the instruments of pain assessment in patients with ventilator. The method of literature was performed through seeking publication of articles in MEDLINE, Google Search, PubMed, and Proquest with keywords pain assessment, tool, critical care, adult, critically ill, unconscious and ventilator. Literatures were undertaken from 2000-2015 with a cross-sectional study design, before and after studies and observational study. The results of the study according to the characteristics of the research was found five pain assessment instruments, they were NVPS, P.A.I.N, Comfort scale, BPS and CPOT. The validity and reliability CPOT is highest among others. All instruments had been measured its validity and reliability, but it had never tested its sensitivity and specificity. So, more researches should be conducted related to the sensitivity and specificity of all the instruments of pain in critically ill adult patients with a ventilator.�Keywords : Pain assessment, critically ill, adult, ventilator.
