This thesis is concerned with the Japanese Ceremonial Occasions industry, and in particular with contemporary Japanese weddings which are viewed as commercialized productions for a highly consumerist society. The study is mainly based on anthropological fieldwork conducted in an urban wedding parlour. The perspective offered diverges from those of previous studies in that its focus is on weddings, rather than marriage, and on the activities of the wedding producers, rather than those of its principal actors. The effects of microbial growth, packaging film permeability, and freezing on the discoloration of beef was assessed by measuring myoglobin derivatives and specifically the rate of formation of metmyoglobin on the surface of Longissimus dorsi and Semimembranosus bovine muscles during 12 days of storage at 2°C. Frozen thawed sterile beef samples experienced higher metmyoglobin formation than fresh sterile beef samples. Clostridium sporogenes PA 3679 spores were inoculated into a meat-vegetable mixture before extrusion, cooking, and vacuum packaging into "stewsticks" to simulate Clostridium botulinum growth. The experiment was a 3 x 5 x 2 x 3 factorial which determined the influence of pH, water activity, initial spore load, and storage period on spore survival. Spore levels decreased throughout storage for all treatments. The combined effect of various gas packaging atmospheres (air, vacuum and gas packaging), films of different oxygen transmission rate (OTR) and storage temperature (4 and 12°C) were investigated on the shelf-life and safety of flesh rainbow trout fillets.<br>Preliminary studies were done to determine the optimum packaging atmospheres to maintain the bright pink color of trout packaged in a high gas barrier film. 碩士<br>國立交通大學<br>電信工程系<br>88<br>In this thesis, a hybrid MIC Ka band oscillator has been developed and tested successfully employing the advanced SMT (surface mount technique) packaged PHEMT (pseudomorphic high electron mobility transistor). The simulated results based on SeriesIV and measured oscillator frequency agrees excellently. Also, it is feasible to product large volume, low cost Ka band integrated circuits. The measured oscillation frequency is 27.33 GHz, and the output power is —9.83dBm. The oscillator is biased at VDS=2 volt, VGS=-0.2 volt and the current IDS=32 mA.
