Abstract:
Late Jurassic NE-trending A-type granitoids are widespread in the Shihang belt, South China, though their petrogenesis and geodynamic settings remain controversial. The Guiping complex is located on the southwest margin of the Shihang belt. In this study, the petrography, major and trace element geochemistry, whole-rock Sr-Nd isotopes, and zircon U-Pb geochronology of the Guiping complex were investigated. The Guiping complex is composed of the Fenghuangling and Xishan plutons; both plutons yielded zircon U-Pb ages of ca. 160 Ma. The Fenghuangling pluton has low SiO2 content of 54.26% to 60.31

Abstract Recent research on Paleo-Tethys tectonics has identified a huge late Paleozoic to Mesozoic igneous belt that extends more than 2500 km in the northeast Tibetan Plateau. However, the magma genesis and evolution in this belt remains a subject of considerable debate. This paper presents a combination of zircon U-Pb ages, mineral compositions, major and trace element concentrations, and Sr-Nd-Hf isotopic data for the plutons across the Zhiduo arc belt that marks the site connecting different tectonic-magmatic units. Abstract In the North China block, Cretaceous extensional tectonics is expressed by numerous syntectonic plutons bounded by ductile normal faults and several metamorphic core complexes (MCC). Cretaceous half-grabens filled by continental terrigenous deposits are widespread. The examples of MCC from South Liaoning Peninsula, Yiwulüshan, Hohhot as well as the Yunmengshan syntectonic pluton spread along ca 2000 km suggest that the early Cretaceous extensional tectonics in the North China block is globally symmetric. The geodynamics setting of this continental-scale extension remains disputed. It

The Munro Pluton is located in the extra-Andean region of the province of Chubut, Argentina, in northern Patagonia, northeast of the Sierra de Tecka and northwest of the Sierra de Languineo. It is a sub-volcanic pluton with a SHRIMP age of 60 Ma (Paleocene?). Studies of fission tracks on apatites of the studied region suggest that the exhumation of the region took place during the Paleogene, indicating that the lapse since its emplacement until its exhumation, took less than 35 Ma, and that the pluton has been exposed to weathering at least since the Miocene until present times. An Early Cambrian pluton, known as the Guasayán pluton, has been identified in the central area of Sierra de Guasayán, northwestern Argentina. A U-Pb zircon Concordia age of 533±4 Ma was obtained by LA-MC-ICP-MS and represents the first report of robustly dated Early Cambrian magmatism for the northwestern Sierras Pampeanas. The pluton was emplaced in low-grade metasedimentary rocks and its magmatic assemblage consists of K-feldspar (phenocrysts)+plagioclase+quartz+biotite, with zircon, apatite, ilmenite, magnetite and monazite as accessory minerals. Geochemically, the granitic rock is a metal

Mesozoic magmatic rocks are widely distributed in the North China Craton (NCC) and are crucial to understanding the timing, location, and geodynamic mechanisms of lithospheric thinning of the NCC. In this study, we report geochronological, petrogeochemical, and Lu–Hf isotopic data for adakitic granitoids from different parts of Xiuyan pluton in the Liaodong Peninsula, aiming to constrain their magma sources, petrogenesis, and tectonic implications. As rochas graníticas principais correspondem a sieno- e monzogranitos predominantes e
