Abstract:
OBJETIVO: Avaliar os efeitos do omeprazol e do pantoprazol sobre a regeneração hepática após hepatectomia parcial. MÉTODOS: Cinqüenta e oito ratos Wistar machos foram divididos em 4 grupos: Grupo SHAM, Grupo HP, Grupo PANTO e Grupo OMEP. Eles foram submetidos a hepatectomia parcial de 67% (Grupos HP, PANTO e OMEP) ou laparotomia (Grupo SHAM). Os fígados foram removidos 32 e 56 horas após a operação. Depois, os animais foram sacrificados. Em todos os grupos, as substâncias (solução salina, omeprazol e pantoprazol) foram aplicadas diariamente a partir do momento em que foram operados até o sacrifício. RESULTADOS: O índice de mitose no Grupo SHAM não foi significativo. Trinta e duas horas após a hepatectomia, a contagem de mitoses foi de 1,2 ± 1,09 para o Grupo HP, 1,2 ± 1,6 para o Grupo OMEP e 2,6 ± 3,2 para o Grupo PANTO. Na análise após 56 horas, os valores foram 1,6 ± 0,89 para o HP, 2 ± 1,8 para o OMEP e 2,6 ± 0,54 para o PANTO. Esses resultados não foram estatisticamente significativos. CONCLUSÃO: O omeprazol e o pantoprazol, agentes inibidores da bomba de prótons (H+, K+-ATPase), não interferem na regeneração hepática 32 e 56 horas após hepatectomia parcial a 67% em ratos.

Abstract:
Pantothenic acid, also called vitamin B5, is an essential nutrient involved in several metabolic pathways. It shows a characteristic preference for interacting with Ca(II) ions, which are abundant in the extracellular media and act as secondary mediators in the activation of numerous biological functions. The bare deprotonated form of pantothenic acid, [panto-H]−, its complex with Ca(II) ion, [Ca(panto-H)]+, and singly charged micro-hydrated calcium pantothenate [Ca(panto-H)(H2O)]+ adduct have been obtained in the gas phase by electrospray ionization and assayed by mass spectrometry and IR multiple photon dissociation spectroscopy in the fingerprint spectral range. Quantum chemical calculations at the B3LYP(-D3) and MP2 levels of theory were performed to simulate geometries, thermochemical data, and linear absorption spectra of low-lying isomers, allowing us to assign the experimental absorptions to particular structural motifs. Pantothenate was found to exist in the gas phase as a single isomeric form showing deprotonation on the carboxylic moiety. On the contrary, free and monohydrated calcium complexes of deprotonated pantothenic acid both present at least two isomers participating in the gas-phase population, sharing the deprotonation of pantothenate on the carboxylic group and either a fourfold or fivefold coordination with calcium, thus justifying the strong affinity of pantothenate for the metal.

TEMA: o controle do tamanho da abertura velofaríngea é uma variável importante na caracterização do perfil acústico da fala hipernasal. OBJETIVO: investigar os aspectos espectrais das frequências de F1, F2, F3, formante nasal(FN) e anti-formante, em Hertz, para as vogais [a] e [ã] na presença de aberturas feitas no bulbo de réplicas da prótese de palato de uma paciente com insuficiência velofaríngea. MÉTODO: gravações de produções de quatro palavras ("pato/mato" e "panto/manto") inseridas em frase veículo foram obtidas em cinco condições de funcionamento velofaríngeo: prótese sem aberturas (condição controle: CC), prótese com abertura de 10mm² no bulbo (condição experimental - CE10), com abertura de 20mm² (condição experimental - CE20), com abertura de 30mm² (condição experimental - CE30), e sem prótese (condição experimental aberta - CEA). Cinco fonoaudiólogos julgaram a nasalidade de fala ao vivo, durante a leitura de um texto oral. As gravações foram usadas para análise espectral. RESULTADOS: valores de F1 foram significativamente mais altos para [a] que para [ã] em todas as condições. Valores de F2 para [a] em CE20 e CE30 foram significantemente mais baixos que nas outras condições, aproximando-se dos valores para [ã]. Valores de F3 não foram significativamente diferentes nas diferentes condições. Houve relação entre os achados de FN e anti-formantes e a percepção de nasalidade para as condições CE10 e CE20. CONCLUSÃO: foram observadas mudanças significativas nos valores espectrais estudados de acordo com alterações no tamanho da abertura velofaríngea.

Abstract:
Abstract Classification and development of the deployable structures is an ongoing process that started at the end of 20th century and is getting more and more attention throughout 21st. With the development of the technology, constructive systems and materials, these categorizations changed – adding new typologies and excluding certain ones. This work is giving a critical review of the work done previously and on the change of the categories. The special interest is given to the pantographs (or scissor structures) and the Zeigler’s dome as the form of their application. It is noticeable that after its introduction in 1977, the dome was a part of the initial classification, but with the time it lost its place. The reason for this is the introduction of more efficient scissor dome structures. However, perhaps with the use of data-driven design, this dome can be optimized and become relevant again. The second part of the paper is dedicated to the development of the structural optimization algorithm for panto-graph structures and its application on the example of Zeigler’s dome. Besides the direct analysis, the final part includes the generative optimization algorithm which could help to a decision-maker in the early stages of the design to understand and select the options for the structure.

Oil tanks must meet the requirements of low evaporation losses, as well as durability and longevity. Oil tanks are made of steel and non-metal structures of different materials. Steel oil tanks are small (up to 2000 Pa), high (up to 70,000 Pa) and atmospheric pressure due to the additional pressure in the gas phases. Due to their design, steel oil tanks are vertical cylindrical, horizontal cylindrical, drip-shaped and trench-type. Vertical cylindrical oil tanks are the most common and are mainly conical, spherical, pantone, floating lid. Pantone and floating oil tanks - used to reduce evaporation losses during oil storage. The pantone installed in the oil tank with a capacity of 20,000 m3 consists of a steel floor made of a 4 mm thick layer of steel and a ring with two lids welded along its perimeter at a distance of 2.8 m from each other. These ribs provide rigidity to the pontoon during movement, as well as a reserve swimming position when the middle part of the panto sinks. The annular ribs are connected at a certain distance from each other (up to 1/48 of the circumference) by radial ribs. The annular and radial ribs are welded to the floor of the pantone with a complete seam. Keywords: cover construction, oil storage terminal, oil tanks volume, determination of the coating structure.

The research used descriptive qualitative method to take information. The writer obsereved the house in Liya village and took some informations from them and interviewed and documented by using recorded and camera. This research also took the datum from some books, articles, internet which associat with the symbols in Lariangi dance in Wakatobi Southeast Sulawesi. The research resulted in the part of symbols in Lariangi dance start from dress, accessories, movement of the dance and the songs of Lariangi dance. The result of the research was consisted in four part. First, the symbols found in dress there are six namely Kombo Monihi, Kombo Meha, Punto/Wuray Nibelo Biru, Laka/Wuray Meha, Kambero, and Lenso/Saputangan symbolyzes sweat rag of King Buton. The second, there are eight symbols and their meaning found in accessories, namely Panto and Pintoru, Hepupu/Konde, Kamba Konde, Toboy Kamba, Hebindu/Sangi-Sangi, Kalo, Naga, Sekori Keponto Posusu symbolyzes degrees nobility. The third, there are four symbols found in movement of Lariangi dance namely, Hematu kepooli le..le, Pajogi/Nyibing/Ngifi, Nabu/Tau, and Lariangi symbolyzes Lighting. ABSTRACTAmino acid residues in the N-terminal of the PA subunit (PAN) of the influenza A virus polymerase play critical roles in endonuclease activity, protein stability, and viral RNA (vRNA) promoter binding. In addition, PANis highly conserved among different subtypes of influenza virus, which suggests PANto be a desired target in the development of anti-influenza agents. We selected DNA aptamers targeting the intact PA protein or the PANdomain of an H5N1 virus strain using systematic evolution of ligands by exponential enrichment (SELEX). The binding affinities of selected aptamers were measured, followed by an evaluation ofin vitroendonuclease inhibitory activity. Next, the antiviral effects of enriched aptamers against influenza A virus infections were examined. A total of three aptamers targeting PA and six aptamers targeting PANwere selected. Our data demonstrated that all three PA-selected aptamers neither inhibited endonuclease activity nor exhibited antiviral efficacy, whereas four of the six PAN-selected aptamers inhibited both endonuclease activity and H5N1 virus infection. Among the four effective aptamers, one exhibited cross-protection against infections of H1N1, H5N1, H7N7, and H7N9 influenza viruses, with a 50% inhibitory concentration (IC50) of around 10 nM. Notably, this aptamer was identified at the 5th round but disappeared after the 10th round of selection, suggesting that the identification and evaluation of aptamers at early rounds of selection may be highly helpful for screening effective aptamers. Overall, our study provides novel insights for screening and developing effective aptamers for use as anti-influenza drugs.

Para as análises estatísticas, foi usado o Programa SAS (Statistical Analysis System, 1990), por meio do procedimento GLM. Foram incluídos no modelo o efeito aleatório do pai da vaca, os efeitos fixos de grupo genético da cria anterior, do mês e do ano do parto anterior e as interações entre grupo genético anterior e mês do parto anterior, grupo genético anterior e ano do parto anterior, além da idade da vaca ao parto como covariável. O PS foi influenciado apenas pelo efeito do pai da vaca. A média estimada por quadrado mínimo e seu respectivo erro-padrão (EP) e coeficiente de variação (CV) foram 146,51 ± 43,05 dias e 97,63%, respectivamente. O período de serviço de praticamente cinco meses é longo, em se tratando de rebanho submetido à inseminação artificial, mesmo em regime de pasto. Os resultados elevados de EP e CV podem ser atribuídos à grande variabilidade da característica em estudo, que é extremamente influenciada por variações decorrentes do ambiente.

First the symbols found in dress there are six namely Kombo Monihi, Kombo Meha, Punto/Wuray Nibelo Biru, Laka/Wuray Meha, Kambero, and Lenso/Saputangan symbolyzes sweat rag of King Buton. The second, there are eight symbols and their meaning found in accessories, namely Panto and Pintoru, Hepupu/Konde, Kamba Konde, Toboy Kamba, Hebindu/Sangi-Sangi, Kalo, Naga, Sekori Keponto Posusu symbolyzes degrees nobility. The study analyzed the skin deformation of women’s limbs under yoga, and established a digital design model of weft-knitted seamless yoga pants based on skin deformation. Five representative yoga moves were selected. Eight female participants were selected to perform a standard standing posture and yoga postures. Three-dimensional scanning technology was used to measure the participants’ lower limbs, and skin data on different parts of the lower limbs were analyzed. The prototype of seamless pant was partitioned based on the skin deformation data, and it was establish a partition design model of weft knitted seamless yoga pant. By creating an fabric structure library and classifying it according to the tensile properties of the fabric structure, establishing the correspondence between the model partition and the fabric structure classification, which realized the digital design of the seamless yoga pants structure. The research results can provide a basis for the structure and style design of yoga pants, and realize the rationality and efficiency of clothing design.

O estudo teve como objetivo comparar dois aparelhos portáteis (Optium Xceed® e Ketovet®) para o diagnóstico de cetose subclínica no campo; conhecer a prevalência desta patologia na região noroeste do estado do Rio Grande do Sul, em sistemas à pasto e confinado; avaliar a composição do leite de vacas em diferentes níveis de corpos cetônicos e glicose no sangue. Os dados foram coletados de três propriedades leiteiras do município de Augusto Pestana, Rio Grande do Sul, Brasil, sendo duas propriedades em sistema de manejo alimentar à pasto e uma em sistema de Compost Barn, sendo todos os bovinos da raça holandesa. Com a realização deste estudo conclui-se que a cetose apresenta prevalência maior, em sistema à pasto no período pós-parto devido à alta exigência de energia para a produção de leite dos animais; ambos os aparelhos Ketovet® e Optium® são eficazes no diagnóstico de cetose subclínica independente do período (pré ou pós-parto) e dos sistemas avaliados (à pasto ou confinado) e a ocorrência de cetose subclínica não causa alterações significativas na composição do leite de vacas. A cetose é um tema de extrema importância na bovinocultura de leite, sendo um assunto encontrado diariamente na rotina veterinária, revelando que é possível realizar o diagnóstico de forma rápida e com baixo custo à campo, possibilitando evitar perdas sanitárias e financeiras aos rebanhos.

As variáveis independentes disponíveis foram relacionadas a características inerentes às vacas (dias em lactação; teores de proteína, gordura e extrato seco total e produções destes componentes no leite; produção de leite in natura ou corrigida para 4% de gordura; ordem de lactação; peso vivo atual; peso vivo ao parto e grau de sangue Holandês x Zebu); ao manejo (dias de pastejo; disponibilidade de forragem e período de descanso da pastagem); ao ambiente (estação do ano e precipitação pluviométrica) e à alimentação (digestibilidade in vitro e parâmetros da composição química do pasto de capim-elefante e da cana-de-açúcar - Saccharum officinarum (L.) corrigida com 1% de uréia; consumos de suplemento volumoso (cana corrigida com uréia) e concentrado; concentrações fecais de proteína bruta e de fibras em detergente neutro e ácido). Efeitos linear e quadrático e transformações logarítmicas foram adicionalmente incluídos no banco de dados. Foram obtidas equações de predição de consumo de pasto de capim-elefante (expresso em kg/vaca/dia ou % do peso vivo) com coeficientes de determinação de 65,2 a 67,0%. O intervalo de partos, além do efeito de pai, sofreu influência de ambiente. O desempenho reprodutivo do rebanho estudado, para as condições de clima tropical, pode ser considerado como satisfatório, estando de acordo com os parâmetros obtidos por outros autores em diferentes regiões.

Esse estudo observacional longitudinal foi desenvolvido com o objetivo de descrever índices de estresse térmico, a resposta fisiológica e o perfil energético em vacas Girolando criadas a pasto na savana tropical durante os períodos de transição e espera voluntário. Foram avaliadas 20 vacas da raça Girolando. O índice de temperatura e umidade (ITU) e o índice de temperatura de globo e umidade (ITGU) foram mensurados diariamente e as vacas avaliadas e submetidas à colheita de sangue em intervalos de tempo distribuídos entre as três semanas antes do parto até o 60o dia pós-parto. A Temperatura Retal, Frequência Cardíaca e Frequência Respiratória (TR, FC e FR) eram aferidas pela manhã (6:00–8:00 horas) e a tarde (14:00–16:00 horas). A TR e FR foram utilizadas para cálculo do Índice de Conforto de Benezra (ICB) e a FR para o cálculo do Índice de Tolerância ao Calor Ibéria (ITCI). O perfil energético foi avaliado pelas concentrações de glicose, ácidos graxos não esterificados (AGNEs), beta-hidroxibutirato (βHB), triglicerídeos, colesterol e HDL. No período de 8:00 as 16:00 horas os valores médios de ITU variaram de 73,5 a 78,7 e de ITGU de 81,8 a 88,2, caracterizando exposição à condição de estresse térmico. As variáveis FC, FR e TR diferiram entre manhã e tarde (p<0,05), assim como o ICB e o ITCI (p<0,01). As concentrações médias de glicose foram semelhantes no pré-parto, com queda no dia do parto, atingindo a menor concentração no 5o dia pós-parto. Para AGNEs o maior valor foi verificado no dia do parto, com posterior decréscimo (p<0,05); o βHB decresceu até a semana anterior ao parto e aumentou tanto no dia do parto quanto após (p>0,05). A partir do dia do parto, a concentração de triglicerídeos decresceu (p<0,05), mas as de colesterol e HDL aumentaram (p<0,05). Quanto às variáveis reprodutivas o período parto-primeiro serviço foi influenciado pelo ITU e ITGU na época de ocorrência do primeiro serviço, assim como pelo ICB e ITCI. Os índices ambientais indicaram que as vacas Girolando sofreram estresse térmico durante o período da tarde, mas isso não influenciou o perfil energético durante os períodos de transição e espera voluntário, o qual permaneceu dentro do esperado para o estado metabólico nessa fase produtiva da vaca leiteira. As correlações entre os índices de conforto (ICB) e tolerância ao calor (ITCI) com a frequência respiratória e a temperatura retal indicam que devem ser utilizados para avaliar o conforto térmico de vacas Girolando criadas a pasto na savana tropical.

Purpose – The purpose of this paper is to focus on the determination of distance ease of pants from the 3D scanning data of a clothed and unclothed body. Design/methodology/approach – A human model whose body size conformed to the Chinese dummy standard and four pairs of suit pants were chosen for the study. The scanned surfaces of both the body and the pant were superimposed based on the preset markers. The circumferences at four important positions – abdomen, hip, thigh and knee – were selected for pant ease determination. At one position (e.g. hip), the two cross-sections were divided into several characteristic sections and the distance ease, i.e. the space between the cross-sections at each section was measured. The regression equations between the distance ease and ease allowance were then derived so that the distance ease can be estimated. Findings – The relationship was found between the distance ease and the ease allowance. Meanwhile, a mathematic model was established to convert the distance ease into the increments of a pant pattern, which helps to develop an individual pant pattern automatically. Social implications – The paper provided the concept and the method to customize a pant by using the 3D scanning data of body. It created a link between the 3D distance ease and the 2D ease allowance, and the model to calculate the distance ease increments which warrant proper ease distributions. The method helps to develop an individualized garment pattern automatically from a basic and tight pant pattern. Originality/value – Understanding the relationship between the distance ease and the ease allowance and increments of pattern could help develop an individual apparel pattern from 3D measurements. This paper showed a way to solve the problem of distribution of the apparel ease in a virtual environment and convert body measurements from a 3D scanner into personalized apparel patterns.

Saskaņā ar Civillikuma 1907. pantu zemesgrāmatās ierakstītas saistību tiesības nav pakļautas noilgumam. Minētā norma raisa jautājumu, vai arī tāda saistību tiesība, kas ir nodrošināta ar zemesgrāmatā reģistrētu hipotēku, nav pakļauta noilgumam. Savā praksē Augstākā tiesa ir lēmusi, ka 1907. pants neattiecas uz šādām saistību tiesībām. Proti, tiesas ieskatā arī ar hipotēku nodrošinātās saistību tiesības ir pakļautas noilgumam. Rakstā Civillikuma 1907. panta saturs tiek analizēts, izmantojot sistēmisko un vēsturisko interpretācijas metodi, kā arī pirmskara doktrīnas atziņas. Autors secina, ka vismaz gadījumos, kad pats parādnieks ir arī hipotēkas devējs, hipotēkas nodibināšana pār parādnieka īpašumu pārtrauc noilguma termiņa tecējumu attiecībā uz nodrošināto prasījumu. Pursuant to Article 1907 of the Latvian Civil Law obligations rights registered in the Land Register are not subject to extinctive prescription. The provision poses a question, whether it also applies to those obligations that are secured by a mortgage registered in the Land Register. The Latvian Supreme Court has ruled that it is not the case and that such secured obligations remain subject to the extinctive prescription. The Author of this article uses contextual and historical interpretation of the Latvian Civil Law in order to clarify the scope of Article 1907. This analysis reveals that, at least in cases where the mortgage is granted by the debtor, the registration of a mortgage, exempts the secured obligation from the effects of the extinctive prescription.

Neste estudo foi avaliado o perfil metabólico de vacas leiteiras no período de transição durante o verão e o inverno. Foram utilizados 31 animais pluríparos mestiços girolando em cada estação, totalizando 62 vacas. No verão permaneciam em pasto com suplementação de silagem de milho e concentrado. No inverno, a exigência nutricional era suprida apenas com silagem de milho e concentrado. Foram feitas um total de 11 coletas de sangue de cada animal segundo o seguinte protocolo: quatro coletas pré-parto espaçadas semanalmente, no dia do parto e com 2, 5, 10, 15, 21 e 30 dias pós-parto. Foram avaliadas as concentrações de cálcio, fósforo e magnésio. Todos os analitos variaram em função do estatus fisiológico. As concentrações médias de cálcio e magnésio foram maiores no verão do que no inverno. Em ambas as estações, as menores concentrações médias de cálcio ocorreram próximas ao parto, sendo que 75% dos animais no inverno e 35,48% dos animais no verão estavam hipocalcêmicos. Apenas no décimo dia as concentrações de cálcio voltaram aos níveis do pré-parto, demonstrando que esse tempo é necessário para a adaptação da nova condição de lactante. As concentrações de magnésio foram menores no pós-parto do que no pré-parto nas duas estações, demonstrando a necessidade desse mineral para a produção de leite. As concentrações médias de magnésio permaneceram sempre dentro dos valores de referência, porém 19% dos animais aos dois dias pós-parto no inverno e 7% dos animais aos 10 dias pós-parto no verão tinham concentrações inferiores a esses limites. As concentrações de fósforo sofreram grande variação ao longo do peri-parto, porém sempre em níveis elevados, sendo que 49,8% dos animais no inverno e 37,3% no verão tinham níveis de fósforo acima dos valores de referência

Foram incluídos no modelo o efeito aleatório do pai da vaca, os efeitos fixos do grupo genético da cria, mês e ano do parto, sexo da cria e as interações entre grupos e ano do parto, grupo genético e sexo, além da idade da vaca ao parto como, covariável. O PG foi influenciado pelo mês e ano do parto e pelo sexo da cria. A média estimada por quadrado mínimo e seu respectivo erro-padrão (EP) e coeficiente de variação (CV) foram 284,73 ± 3,65 dias e 1,28%, respectivamente. O período de gestação geralmente não sofre influências significativas de meio, à exceção do sexo da cria, tal como ocorreu neste trabalho. A média estimada para o período de gestação está dentro dos limites de normalidade para a espécie e a raça em questão.

Purpose The purpose of this paper is to focus on solving a fit problem associated with female pants by taking into account the body shape of crotch curves. The patterns of customized pants could be altered with the distance ease (DE) distribution along the crotch curve. Design/methodology/approach Four pairs of pants with different crotch ease allowances were designed based on a standard mannequin, and used to study how the DE was distributed along the crotch curve at a given ease allowance. The unclothed mannequin and the four pants, which were dressed, respectively, on the mannequin, were scanned consecutively by a body imaging system. The crotch curve of the unclothed mannequin was superimposed on that of each clothed mannequin to exhibit the differences in radial distance so that the DE distribution could be measured. Findings Through the regression analysis, the prediction models were established to express the relationships between the DE and the ease allowance. These models could be used to estimate the DEs along a crotch curve to reflect its asymmetrical shape when a total allowance was selected. The crotch curves on the pant patterns could be then modified by adding the predicted DEs to the scanned crotch curve. Originality/value This study demonstrated a new pattern alteration approach to achieve a better fit for customized female pants based on the 3D scanning data. This approach can be extended to pattern alterations for men’s pants and other shape-critical products.

Par ekspertiem šādās lietās tika piesaistīti speciālisti no izglītības iestādēm (Latvijas Universitātes, Rīgas Stradiņa universitātes), Tiesībsarga biroja, Valsts valodas aģentūras un neatkarīgām biedrībām (Sabiedriskās politikas centra “Providus” un Latvijas Cilvēktiesību centra). Tomēr, ņemot vērā tiesu prakses neesamību lietās par sociālā naida izraisīšanu, gan tiesību normas piemērotājiem šo lietu izmeklēšanas gaitā, gan arī pieaicinātajiem ekspertiem, veicot teksta juridiskās ekspertīzes, jāsaskaras ar vairākiem problēmjautājumiem. In the Section 34 of the Criminal Procedure Law, it is stated: A person directing the proceedings may invite, and assign with a decision, a person to perform an expert-examination who is not an expert of an expert-examination institution, but whose knowledge and practical experience is sufficient for the performance of the expert-examination. Examining cases of hatred or enmity related to personal or national or ethnic, racial or religious beliefs (Section 78 of the Criminal Law), or according to sex, age, disability or any other features of a person (Section 150 of the criminal Law), an invited expert must have sufficient knowledge and practical experience in this area, be able to identify, distinguish and delimitate actions mentioned in both articles, and other criminal offences provided for in the Criminal Law. As experts in such cases were involved specialists from the educational institutions (The University of Latvia, Rīga Stradiņš University), as well as the Ombudsman’s Office, the Latvian Language Agency and Non-governmental Organisations (Centre for Public Policy PROVIDUS, The Latvian Centre for Human Rights). However, given the lack of case law in matters of social hatred triggering the law, applicants during the investigations of these cases as well as external experts during text legal expertise, faces several challenges.

<title>Resumo</title><p>Objetivou-se avaliar a influência do nível de suplementação com concentrado sobre o perfil hematológico de ovelhas Santa Inês no terço final da gestação e puerpério, assim como dos cordeiros. Utilizaram-se onze ovelhas, aos 75 últimos dias de gestação e nos primeiros 75 dias de lactação e oito cordeiros progênie das ovelhas, distribuídas em delineamento inteiramente casualizado em arranjo de parcelas subdivididas no tempo. As amostras de sangue foram colhidas sempre pela manhã a cada 14 dias. A suplementação não afetou (P>0,05) o eritrograma e o leucograma dos animais e os componentes sanguíneos avaliados encontraram-se dentro do intervalo de referência para a espécie. A categoria animal influenciou (P<0,05) os valores de hemácias, observando-se os maiores valores (11,72 x 10<sup>6</sup>/µL) para os cordeiros. Os cordeiros apresentaram valores inferiores (3073,3/µL) de neutrófilos em comparação com as ovelhas, seja na gestação (4957,6/µL) ou no puerpério (4067,3/µL), que não diferiram entre si (P>0,05). Já na contagem de linfócitos, os valores encontrados nos cordeiros (2858,8/µL) foram semelhantes aos das fêmeas gestantes (2982,0/µL); as fêmeas em lactação (4119,8/µL) apresentaram os maiores valores. A suplementação com concentrado (0,5% do PV) no pré e pós-parto não altera o perfil eritrocitário e leucocitário de ovelhas Santa Inês, sendo as maiores diferenças observadas entre as ovelhas das duas categorias e os cordeiros.</p>

Abstract:
Para estabelecer a melhor forma de considerar os efeitos fixos dos modelos de regressão aleatória, avaliou-se a utilização de funções polinomiais na descrição de curvas de crescimento e no efeito da idade da vaca sobre pesos corporais de 41.415 bovinos jovens da raça Tabapuã, criados em regime de pasto. A idade da vaca ao parto e o sexo do animal influenciaram os pesos nos primeiros dois anos de vida, e o efeito da idade da mãe sobre o desenvolvimento dos animais mostrou-se dependente da idade dos filhos. Altos coeficientes de determinação (R²>0,98) foram alcançados utilizando-se o efeito da idade da vaca no dia da pesagem do animal (i.e., a idade da vaca ao parto mais a idade do animal no dia de sua pesagem) em polinômios de, no mínimo, segundo grau, e curvas de crescimentos médios, diferenciadas para machos e fêmeas, descritas por meio de polinômios de, no mínimo, terceiro grau.
