Full textThis project responds to the sustained tourism that has been demonstrated in recent years in the Ica region, specifically in Paracas City for its tourist attractions of natural environment, demonstrating its potential in relation to tourism by nature. Paracas, is one of the main destinations to visit by the national and foreign tourist who visits Ica, for recreational and holiday purposes for the most part, that is why the Chamber of Foreign Trade and Tourism of Paracas has determined that by 2021 the bay will receive approximately one million tourists, however, the current hotel located in natural environment in high season are completely occupied, so more hotel capacity be needed to meet the demand that is projected around 2021. For that reason, it’s necessary to proposes a 5-star Hotel with an emphasis on sustainable architecture, to welcome future tourist and, at the same time, create an infrastructure that respects the natural environment, generating a more consistent architecture with the locality.

Full textThis project is a hotel located in the district of Paracas, in the south coast of Ica, Peru.A large part of the district contains the Paracas National Reserve, located in the desert, with a warm weather all year round, intense winds and lots of fauna variety. Paracas distinguishes for its natural and historical importance. It was the cradle of the Pre-Inca Paracas culture known for its architectonic art and the use of shapes and colours in their textiles. The design of this themed hotel is inspired in the architecture, textiles, shapes and colours of this culture. Finally, the infrastructure has being designed focused in being environmentally friendly. This is why the hotel has solar energy, solar panels, uses the wind for the internal ventilation and reuses water for the irrigation of the vegetation.

Full textThe purpose of this project is to maintain, preserve, and sustain throughout time, one of the main ecotourism destinations in our country, such as the Paracas Desert dunes. We aim to increase the value of this location through the development of an Ecolodge, with a focus on Bioclimatic Architecture. Given that Paracas is one of the preferred destinations by both foreign and local tourists, its main issue revolves around the lack of hotels that can satisfy new requirements in terms of ecological principles. In this context, raices the idea of an Ecolodge, where the design and building materials used will be selected in accordance with the Paracas climate, which is comprised of year-long sunshine accompanied by strong winds. The new hospitality approach is based upon conservation and environmental protection principles, as well as an improved use of solar energy, whose pillars include the collection, accumulation, and efficient distribution of energy. Waste management and responsible consumption of water is taken into account as well, with the purpose of re-utilizing water via a drip irrigation system. Finally, the strategy will ultimately generate programs that will directly benefit the development of local communities.
