This thesis describes techniques for defining independent tasks in Java programs forparallelization. Existing Java parallelization APIs like JOMP, Parallel Java,Deterministic Parallel Java, JConqurr and JaMP are discussed. We have seen that JaMPis an implementation of OpenMP for Java, and it has a set of OpenMP directives andruntime library functions. We have discussed that JaMP has source to byte codecompiler, and it does not help in debugging the parallel source codes. There is no designtime syntax checking support of JaMP directives, and we know about mistakes onlywhen we compile the source

The workstation clusters are cheaper than traditional super computers. With the network connection, the workstation clusters will be a low price parallel computer. Our system Java Parallel Distributed Computing Environment (JPDCE) is a heterogeneous environment and is a virtual parallel computer. We use Java to implement the system. Java can solve the problem of heterogeneous environment and support object oriented. Object

This system integrates all of the resources in the P2P network, providing parallel computing capabilities. We use the Unified Modeling Language (UML) to analyze the combined architecture of P2P network and parallel computing. The system is divided into a peer information server and the other pure peer clients. Peer information server is responsible for peers’ login, peers’ status detection. By dynamically analyzing the loops of a Java bytecode program at run-time, Gabi II distributes the computation of the loops previously detected as parallel threads, provided by the DSM system, to run on multi-processor computers connected by the network, hence the better performance. After porting, Gabi II uses the virtual shared memory adn sychronization mechanisms provided by the DSM system to maintain the memory consistency. It distributes computing by m

The Pax system sets up a virtual parallel-computing platform, which builds on heterogeneous hardware and software systems that run Java Runtime Environment and CORBA package. Standard Java/CORBA developing process is used to program on the Pax system that reduces the learning time of parallel-computing programming. The Pax software consists of the Pax machine and the Pax class library. Both of them are based on the conce

In this thesis, we propose the identification of multiple folding groups among stack operations for out-of-order execution on Superscalar Java Processors, and that works together with the data forwarding process to exploit the ILP efficiently. There is a speed limit for the processor. Many complex and time-consuming computation tasks, such as astronomical, chemical, or meteorological data processing, usually need distributed systems to increase their computing power. A distributed system may consist of many different type machines. Due to the difference of machine types, the instruction sets used in those machines may be different. When develo
